Very honest and trustworthy. Dealer said I needed new transmission, this was not the case at all very small charge to diagnose and nothing was wrong. Will be taking all my repairs here from now on.

I took my car to Mels in October 2019 for steering issues, and they replaced my power-steering pump. Fast-forward to now (December 2020), and the pump that was just over a year old went bad. Since I am not in the Watertown area any longer, I called Mels to see what could be done about a warranty (at the suggestion of my current repair shop). Cory was amazing about promptly calling the parts supplier and arranging for a new pump to be delivered to my current shop to be installed. I was expecting a lot more hassle, but Cory took care of all my worries immediately. Thank you!

Mels Garage was our best find when we moved to the area. They have fixed every problem that we have had with our H3. Never has the same problem been fixed twice. They always explain the issue prior to fixing and we are also told what was done to fix the problem. The quality of service you get is amazing for what the cost is! Fair pricing as well. The Best Around! These guys do great work, very friendly and honest. That, I cannot stress enough, is a huge deal when it comes to mechanics. I have worked with my fair share of “shady” mechanics and have always come out more worse for ware. These guys have always told me what was wrong, what needed to be fixed, what could wait, and what it would cost. Not to mention they stand by their work. I had brake line issues and was not able to drive my vehicle so needed to get it serviced quickly. Not only did I get scheduled promptly, but they were able to fix the issue quickly and charged a fair price. Definitely recommend!

We were left with an awful clunk after Russ Darrow Kia in Madison replaced our transmission. While after a review about it prompted higher ups to contact me regarding fixing it, zero faith recalled the flashlight also left in the engine from their mechanics.We took it to Mels with a realistic mention that it could be a coincidence.Here the sway bar wasnt tightened down when the transmission was replaced.So 6 hours and 60 bucks later, it was tightened.My review is pretty much a it is what it is cost wise notation but were thankful of course, its fixed.My husband was impressed with the staff, noting probable experience and friendly service.We will return if/ when needed and thats the take away from this review.

Wish I could do 5 stars because the mechanics are awesome. They dont upsell and they are honest about parts that need replacement and parts that can keep going for several months. They explain things after they fix them and charge a fair price. The only downside is the space. Because of their reputation, they are always full, but they dont have any parking space. So you need to park on the street, and that can be several blocks away when its crowded. Dont let that stop you though, support this garage!
