Learned 2 things about this Firestone Auto 1. The folks working smiled and was friendly. 2. Honesty is very important to me and I give it and expect this in return. These guys looked my truck over, gave me accurate and some pointers not only how and what parts were in conditions of changing soon but also what else could be effected soon. I know my truck and this was true. They then preceded to tell me of next months special, then brought to my attention a credit card with savings and not only was I approved, but it saved me money that day. Thanks

These guys always go above and beyond, help keep costs as low as possible, identify any critical problems they see when fixing something even if it was not the original issue, and even loaned me their personal vehicle when there were no rental cars in Waterloo anywhere. I cant say enough good things about these guys and I wont take my vehicle anywhere else. Wish I could give 10 stars!

Had to get four new tires. They explained the tire sales and rebates, scheduled me an appointment for Saturday, and I signed up for their credit card all within 15 min of them closing on a Friday. Much appreciated since I drive quite a ways for work daily. Will be coming back again!

Not bad mechanics wise but do feel ones more expensive down the street are more knowledgeable but I dont got that kinda money.Seriously wish they actually freaked call u after they got inspecting ur car done ASAP not make u have to call them to find out. They were supposed to keep the spare, since i had to go away. Instead they just aired up the flat tire and sent us on our way saying nothing. We were lucky nothing happened.

Will never do business again. Tires installed are not the ones ordered AND took 2 weeks to get. Front end repairs were more than quote and said I needed headlight and taillights when in fact, they work just fine. Lousy experience

Horrible, stormy 2 years saving up for a Corvette. 4 days after I purchased the card I took it to Firestone for and oil change. They put to much oil in the car 3 blocks away my car is blowing oil all over. Now the car wont start. Just mind boggling. People make mistakes but come on....

This was our first experience at this Firestone service center. We were visiting in Cedar Falls when our van started leaking from under the hood. We were able to take it in and get a diagnosis the same day. The repair was made and when we went to pick it up, we were pleasantly surprised to learn the repair was not as serious as expected. Instead of having to replace the transmission cooler and hoses ($300-400) as they thought, they only had to tighten the clamps to stop the leak ($60.) They could have easily replaced the part and we would have been none the wiser. We appreciate Stephens honesty and the fact he did not rip us off. I would overwhelmingly recommend this service center because they do a great job and they are honest. It is hard to find both qualities nowadays. Keep up the good work.

I always receive good service here. The manager points out coupon savings for me and the time spent waiting for a oil change is less than an hour. They have a tv and coffee in the waiting area.

Thought it was gonna be a good and fast oil change. I thought wrong. Waited there about 45minutes to an hour. Things eventually finished up, was given my keys and I left. A week or two later my oil light comes on for some odd reason considering I JUST had it done. I had my brother take a look at it and it turns out that Firestone did not even change my oil! Fresh oil is suppose to look semi clear not dark/black and thick! Safe to say I was jipped and paid for them just to lift my car up and stare at it apparently. I will never in my life go back to that place. They couldnt even get a minor thing like an oil change done? Are you kidding me? You would think such a well known company wouldnt want this kind of liability on its hands considering this could have ruined my car.

Very helpful and not intimidating to people like me with zero car or mechanical knowledge.

Usually pretty fast at getting your car in, my impression is they hire a lot of freshly trained mechanics that dont know the ins and outs of the car. They rarely go above and beyond, even to check something out without upgrading to a full inspection charge. Theyll show you a plugged up air filter with obvious leaves and debree, when you opt to not get a new one theyll put it back in without at least shaking it out a bit which would be nice. They dont seem to understand that tire nuts need to be torqued to a certain specification, they just impact gun them on and overtighten, this actually can cause problems per my mechanic. Seemed clear they impacted an oil drain plug and stripped it in one instance and didnt feel obligated to fix it. I dont trust them much except to do oil changes and then I get anxiety about the oil drain plug getting stripped. I use them regularly cause of coupons/discounts for simple things and generally they have cheaper tires or promotions, are friendly, and can get my car in fast, and they are close. But I take my car repairs to an experienced mechanic. They also have huge prices on performing basically any repair.

Needed my tires re alligned and so i dropped it off, at first i was told Id have to pay 105$ get a call and my ball joint was bent and it would cost 214$ to fix, go there to get it, and its not 341$ called a local part store and a ball joint and a good one is 32.99 so Idk how the price is so high, cant pick up my car because i dont have to money to get it. Im not going their again.

Went there for an alignment on my car, they checked the car and found out that they couldnt do the alignment because they did not have the tool they needed. Still ended up charging me for checking despite the fact that thats not what took me there. Second I had done an the previous year which was warranted for a year by the iowa city firestone and they will honor it because they modified the terms to tell me it only applies when they replace something which is a lie, because the survey online asks if you did get a free alignment check. Went back to iowa city and they were equally surprised, they checked it for free and decided to honor the warranty even if it had expired because waterloo firestone screwed up. Will not go to this one in Waterloo, and will advice anyone to avoid any warranty they offer u if u dont understand the terms that are forever changing.

I went and got my a.c. checked out cuz it doesnt work. I paid the 10 And they told me they didnt see any leaks and I just needed Freon which was 139.00 well I bought some Freon cuz a friend knows how to do it. And he put it in and you could hear a hose leaking it out and still dont have air. So that was a waste of 47.00 for the Freon and 10.00 for the inspection. Will never recommend them to anyone. I know nothing about cars and heard the air leak and they work there. I would of paid the 140 for nothing

We took our van to Firestone for an oil change. Within minutes of leaving Firestone, the van had engine damage and there was no oil in it.They claim they are not responsible for the engine damage or the fact that there was no oil in the van.
