Terri The NURSE @pathways is amazing Ive been through hell coming to Iowa and she was so good to me!!! Everyone at this place was just kind, courteous, and just made everything I went through a little easier...God Bless this place you saved my life..
(Sorry for how long this is, but read it...) I am writing this review so that people who may be at a different methadone location in the area can get the truth from somebody who has been at both clinics… I searched long and hard for reviews about the methadone maintenance program at Pathways and came up empty handed. (I was worried because Cedar Valley Recovery talked so badly about Pathway’s) Let’s start off with the Methadone quality. Compared to CVRS, it is much, much better. At Pathways, it is liquid Methadone, not a pill that has to dissolve in water. (Look it up, if you’re curious) For me, this works 110% better! It takes roughly 20-30 minutes to feel the effects. Liquid is better than pills as it takes much less time to metabolize. Prices... At the other clinic, you pay $13/day. Doesn’t seem like much, but that’s $182 bi-weekly(that’s a car payment!), $364 monthly(that’s RENT money)... Pathways accepts most insurance. In fact, I believe they accept ALL insurance! Pathways is so much cheaper, it is amazing! Pathways requires you to see a counselor once WEEKLY. This is how they can accept your insurance. For some people, that sucks. But really, if you’re not willing to do counseling, are you really wanting to get clean? Wait times: Almost exactly the same as Cedar Valley Recovery. I get there everyday at 8:15 & I’m back in my car by 8:17-8:20. In and out!Again, this is coming from somebody who has spent a total of 14 months at Cedar Valley Recovery. I promise you that Pathways is better. It is cheaper. The maintenance drug is better. And more important than anything else, they really, actually care about their patients. So, give it a shot. If you hate it, you can always transfer back!Sincerely,A Caring Individual.
Absolute garbage place. I went there for general therapy and my therapist was more interested in writing than actually helping people and made that very clear. My prescriber for my antidepressants lived in New York but decided she knew me enough that she sent me to a psych ward for no reason other than myself cutting again, which Ive been struggling with for 7+ years. They only care about the money and funding they get from drug abusers that got caught. They should all be ashamed of themselves
Awesome place that cares deeply for their patients!
