Nice place with lots to do for all ages. The owner is very friendly. We had a great time tonight. It was not crowded at all plus it was a little cheaper during the week. Great night with the kids.
I don’t know about the other services they offer, but the pumpkin patch is honestly so underwhelming. If you don’t have children with you it limits the activities they offer so drastically, so it’s not a good place for a cute fall date if that’s what you’re after, and the price of admission was raised this year as well. It didn’t feel like it was worth ten to twelve dollars, but especially not fifteen when there’s so little to do. Compared to other pumpkin patches where admission is only four dollars and there’s literally acres of things to do, Heartland just doesn’t measure up.
This is such a fun filled place. The strawberries are delicious and I love the new restrooms. 2 thumbs up. It gets better and better every year ! Thank you for the memories.
Every year we go with the kids and they absolutely love the place. It is definitely a great little adventure for the younger kids. There is a bouncr pillow that the kids and adults can enjoy together and the hay ride is always relaxing. The cider offered in the cafe area is always delicious ❤️the pumpkinator is always fun to watch and the kids love the goats😁. The best part at the end of your visit is picking out that special pumpkin. There are many other things to enjoy as well but to list them all would be a much longer review. Just go and experience this for yourself and you will walk away with a smile on your face. 😊
Great strawberries this summer! Bonus - we also found a monarch catapillar in the milkweed by the ditch.
There are some farm animals and several bouncy things for the kids. Only one slide, so expect lines when it’s busy. The jumping balloon is NOT for toddlers, but they charge $12 for them...Definitely NOT worth the $12 per person, 3yrs and up. Do yourself a favor and drive a little further to Bloomsbury Farm. It’s $5 more, but there is much more to do and you get more for your money. This place is overpriced for what you don’t get; $8-$10 would be more appropriate.
Went to pick strawberries today and had a great experience. Our three girls, ages 6, 4, and 2 stayed interested in picking berries for a while. They also enjoyed the animals, slide, and jumping pillow. They get blueberries every year which are always delicious. We have a good time everytime we go.
Really pleasant. Low key grounds and super friendly staff. Had a good time!
We’ve been visiting this pumpkin patch for many years~it’s the best! So many fun activities for everyone & so many awesome and unique varieties of pumpkins for both decor & food purposes. Super friendly folks & absolutely worth the admission as they are ever expanding. Thanks Heartland Farms~🎃🎃🎃Officially feels like Fall/Halloween-time now that we’ve had our visit & got our goodies!!!♥️🖤♥️🖤♥️
A tad chilly today, but cool!
Nice farm. My children loved seeing the animals. They loved the tree slide and the bouncy houses and pillow that they have. Welcoming workers and price was good also.
Love this place and the people are awesome! Might be the new stop for our family!
Great place to take the kids. Lots of Pumpkins to pick from all different sizes. Even have tiny ones for the little kids. Great atmosphere for the fall season. Friendly and helpful staff.... would go back again...
Had the best time ever with my family. They went out of their way to make sure we had an amazing time. 10/10 would recommend!
Closed kid Park while we were in it. We had to unlock the gate from the inside because we were there alone. and closed before the 7oc the close time! So we were unable to get pumpkins =(
I had a great time today with my daughter picking strawberries :) The berries are sweet and juicy. The people at the farm visited with us and were very pleasant. We will definitely be back next year!
Disaster. Their pony had a halter on that was too tight & left there for a LONG time. We were able to get the halter off but there were scabs underneath. The hayride tractor driver seemed like he hated his job. Their porter potties were completely full & without toilet paper. They are way overpriced. This place has really gone in the dumps.
My kids and I went today and got strawberries (which are fantastic) the people are so helpful and friendly!! We plan to go back! Thank you for such a great place for all of us where its not electronically stimulating!!
The strawberries were perfect when we went picking. We came back a week later because they were so good. :)
It cost $55 for our family to get in and we were told the pumpkins we could choose from were already picked. The activities are definitely not worth the entry fee. We selected one medium sized pumpkin that cost $10...which would have cost me less than $5 at Hyvee. Very disappointed.
Haunted House was good
11$ is a bit high for ages 3 and up, but the kids had fun! Wear pants and long sleeves if possible... The biting knats are out there in full force
Love this place! Organic and non GMO foods grown here. I wont go anywhere else. Very friendly and helpful.
An amazing place.
Its a decent place full of basic Iowa creatures; chickens, turkeys, pigs, and rabbits. It also has some peacocks and other exitic animals in the fowl cldoecie types. The prices for produce or any product/good they sell are very reasonable.
Very nice place, lots to do, kind of steep in the pocket book if you know what I mean. Good thing to do if you have hours to spend playing.
The place is nice as a farm and good place to take kids to. The strawberries however used to be good like 6 years ago. I am not sure what they are doing nowadays but the strawberries have no smell or flavor. Sure they have plenty of juice but when you mush them up to create any dish they just turn into a liquid with no flavor. I don’t know if they are using GMO seeds or chemicals on them for bugs but honestly the Driscolis from the store have more flavor than these. I am originally from Bosnia and if you tried one wild strawberry from over there your mind would be blown. One of those which is about a centimeter long is better than a million of these from Hearland.
GREAT pumpkin patch and activities to do with kids like a hay ride, bouncy houses, big bounce pad, animals, pumpkins, corn trail, and haunted house!
I loved going here as a kid during the fall just so I could pick out a carving pumpkin and now I get to bring my son this summer.
Very fun, had a great time. Haunted house is a good for 8-11 year olds to build up to scarier haunys. Awesome pumpkins and lots of free features, corn maze was more of a payh with spooky features. Will return.
Every Halloween they have a haunted house, small corn maze, bounce houses for kids, hay rides, a lot of animals. Great family outing.
Super fun place for kids. Had a great time.
Awesome pumpkin selection, corn maze was a little disappointing, fun activities for little kids and pumpkinator cannon is cool.
Fun day
The folks here were very friendly, we had fun at the pumpkin patch and had some really amazing apples.
Very affordable and friendly. Great quality.
Nice family time!! Kids really love it💜💙Thank you
Ok place but admission is terribly overpriced
Not fun at all so expensive smelly you cant pet the animals the hay ride is bad you dont even get to pick your own pumpkin. WORST MONEY SPENT 30$ for 3 people and we bought NOTHING BUT TO GET IN HORRIBLE
Love Heartland Farms, it is a bit pricey to get in the gate, but worth it for those that have young kiddos. We make it a family tradition to go every year.
Love the strawberries and corn...
Great place for a School outing!!
So cute! We enjoyed it!
Plenty of acrivities, pumpkin cannon, (small) cornfield maze, haunted house, bounce pad, etc
Way to expensive
Their animals are treated very poorly, staff seems like they hate their jobs and it’s extremely over priced.
