First time in DC and it was an amazing experience. We had a few minor room issues when we checked in but the front desk staff made everything right for us. Darius at the front desk was beyond great and helpful, his calm/friendly spirit was so refreshing. The bartenders (Donna and Berry) were welcoming, attentive, friendly, and had amazing energy from the time we checked into the hotel until we left. The location was great and the quality of service that we received is the reason we definitely will be returning to this location when we are back in DC.

We stayed for two nights and this has been by far the least enjoyable Westin I have ever stayed at. The room was very old, you can just feel it by looking at the carpet. We stayed during the summer and the AC was not working. I had it on 63 the whole time and it felt like it was at 75 or more. The parking was a pain due to its location but I would say this was expected. Mind you, they don’t have a fridge nor microwave so if you want to heat up leftovers from eating out the next day, nope that is not an option. We will not coming back as I think there are better options at this price point.

Location is A+, good service but the lobby and elevator are always warm. Also, housekeeping is not what I expected from a place Ike the Westin. The table in front of the elevator has so much dust! The lamps are also dusty. We checked in and the bathroom had only 2 towels. I dont know about you but to me, well I expect more from the Westin.

Great location, lots of shops, bars, and restaurants within walking distance. The restaurant inside was open and tables/chairs were spaced for Covid seating. There is also a coffee shop inside which was very convenient for folks like me who need that extra pick me up in the a.m. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were made up perfectly everytime. It seemed to me that these staff took the extra time to make the rooms look nice as opposed to just rushing it which I thought was super great. There was a gym on the lobby floor which just added to the convenience. The biggest downside to this hotel was the parking fee. Pretty pricy, but there were several other places nearby for overnight parking at a fraction of the cost.

Oof. I know we are recovering but this is bad.1) I have gold elite status: they never checked if an upgrade was available for me. Ok…2) No room service. Ok. Called and asked if they had bottled seltzer. They said yes, picked it up at the bar. Got dressed, walked to the elevator, went to the bar, they didn’t have any. And charged me $10 for two glasses of fountain soda water with ice. Ok…3) Asked if I could get plates and silverware for my dinner I ordered from outside. No plates and plastic forks. Ok….4) Cleaning service throw out part of my contact lens case. They wanted me to go to CVS at 10:00 and get it reimbursed. I can’t see. My contacts are in my case which I can’t close. Put me on hold for 10 minutes. Then when I was in bed called me back and finally offered to send someone.Never again with Westin. Sorry.

Dissatisfied guest! Imagine being on vacation and a hotel max out your credit card during check in and then tell you they never received the funds and to use another form of payment. I told Wesley (at the front desk) the first swiped said approved he then moved to another computer and swiped it two more times. They continued to tell me that it was declining but it was because of them that it declined. I payed with another card and when I asked them to release my funds on my credit card they said it would take 5 to 7 business days. They reduce the nightly rates but that didn’t give me back the money during my vacation that was being held on my card. Upon entering the room and unpacking we notice there is NO REFRIGERATOR! I call the front desk and it took them over an hour to bring one. Wesley was in charge and showed no remorse at all for me and my family. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

The price was right, but...dont expect a lot. Extra fee for wifi, extra fee to park over night, extra extra extra. Something was growing in the shower, the return air vent was falling off the ceiling, and you could see a hole in the ceiling of the floor below while looking out the window. The deal we got was good, but...I would NEVER book at full price.

This is the kinda hotel that you actually want to go and stay in as this pandemic roars towards its first anniversary. The front desk staff always demonstrates an exceptional degree of professionalism.I noted the general manager personally attending to two separate in-room guest requests. (And as an aside: both times after he stepped off the elevators, he performed a perfunctory sweep through the entire lobby, resetting and tidying anything that a guest might see in seconds.)The rooms. Well. There is nothing wrong with them. Theyre gracious and accommodating. They are just, well, a bit out of tempo with the decor. Arguably, the finish level is still high. Its just staidBut what truly makes me love The Westin brand--the bed and bed linens! It didnt disappoint

The hotel was somewhat limited (due to COVID shutdowns of the room service and restaurant) but the rooms were nice and clean and it was a quiet peaceful stay. The valet was quick and prompt. I had a foot injury on our trip and needed a wheel chair, and the concierge staff was incredibly kind and helpful in helping us find a place to rent a chair and facilitating them dropping it off and letting us leave it with them to pick up. The staff even remembered myself and my wife were very kind when they saw I needed to rent a chair to get around that day.The hotel is walking distance to the White House and the monuments nearby, and there is a WaWa and CVS right next door. All in all, we had a good stay and appreciated the staff and service we received.

Picked this location for our son to get rest before his college audition early the next morning (heard about the Heavenly Beds). Hotel layout is unique with an interior city inside of the lobby, as you can look up and see a charming visual of rooms and upper layers of the building floors. We stayed in a suite, and because it was a special room and the guest before us had a late check out, we ended up waiting an hour+ for the room to be ready. We were exhausted and I had to work from the lobby to put out a work fire remotely. Other than that our stay was wonderful! Staff on site was helpful in every way, restaurant was easily accessible yet not in direct flow of incoming and outgoing guest traffic. Beds were comfy, room spacious and there is a theme of self-care and wellness throughout the establishment; including roll on essential oil blends bedside to help with relaxation. Nice experience overall and I left well rested! The only thing missing was an indoor pool.Parking valet is pricey (street parking available but its metered) so we opted to not drive in DC.

We were eligible for a suite upgrade and my husband and I gave this option to my sister in law and her husband since they just had a particularly difficult year. This Westin is well-located... a short walk to great DC sites and restaurants. The interior and exterior are rather standard-looking, but fairly up-to-date. Check-in is excellent... quick, efficient, pleasant, helpful. Our room was clean but a bit small, though standard size for the hospitality industry. Beds were comfortable. TV control was poor; that was the only substandard aspect of the stay. Bathroom was clean. Check-out was as efficient as check-in. Nothing to complain about here, and lots to love. The hotel was a little further away from local attractions than I expected (Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial) but we still were able to walk back from the American History Museum. I stayed here while in town for work and truly took advantage of the location. I could walk to a multitude of insanely delicious restaurants on 14th and also to many government buildings on Penn. The lobby was clean and inviting. Check in was conducted efficiently and Faye went out of his way to make sure my stay was relaxing and comfortable. The breakfast amenity is a continental breakfast but you can upgrade to the buffet for $6. Jose held an spg reception while we were there with complimentary wine, which was a thoughtful and unexpected benefit.

I am a frequent traveler to Washington DC for business and l always enjoy my stay at the hotel. Upon arrival l am greeted by great staff team and hats off to Faye Mbaye for providing impeccable service, he is always with a smile and does not hesitate to offer assistance. As a platinum member, l am pleased with the recognition l receive.I enjoy the facilities which are clean and conveniently located. For morning breakfast, the continental buffet is great and l am always provided great service by Abdul, Alem and Emebet. This is an outstanding team and remember my preferences. Such as tea/coffee to go etc. Definitely a great hotel to stay for frequent travelers

Was a OK stay. Check-in experience was great. We forgot our toothbrush at home to reception was quick enough to provide us a set. Morning breakfast experience was not very good. A rude server and dysfunctional egg station. Nevertheless walking distance from markets and restaurants. One can walk till whitehouse and get big bus.

Clean, nice lounge and bar area, close to all site seeing places. Bed very comfy. Could improve Starbucks, second day they ran out of breakfast sandwiches, the muffins we like and coffee we like. Not impressed.

Beautiful place to stay. Suite was very nice. Could stand a little more counter space in the bathroom, but nevertheless the tub more than made up for it! $50 per night parking fee...

I had a very bad experience in this hotel. Usually when we book the information is given om hotels.com very clear but this one! There are 3 most stupid things that everyone should be aware of -1. No Free WifiThis is the lamest thing! I mean there is a starbucks next door that has wifi but this big hotel with hefty per night cost does not have free wifi! Wtf, that is just stupid.2. No Free ParkingWell, this one i wanna write about especially. The front desk didnt mention any parking charges. We gave our Tesla keys to valet and they didnt even close the car door properly due to which the car didnt lock. They charge 65$ per night. That is extremely high and illogical. Also they should write this big and bold but there is no mention of it anywhere.3. No Free breakfastOkay, understandable. But its 30$ for breakfast where they dont even have a good variety and supply. I am glad saved my money here.Overall, very poor and annoying experience. Also, the front desk persona unpleasant

The Westin Washington was an excellent place to stay! It is walking distance from National Mall where all the main attractions are located( Lincoln memorial, the White House, Capitol) . With a great location comes a higher price. This hotel is not the most affordable. I paid about $250 for 1 night . That price DID NOT INCLUDE breakfast (buffet offered delicious food for about $35 Per person) or Parking ( $60 overnight).I only gave it 4 stars due to the high price I paid for only one night but overall my experience was awesome! The hotel is very modern and clean. Every room faces inwards so as other reviewers said curtains closed if you want privacy. Thanks to my concierge Christopher! You have great customer service skills and gave us great recommendations on where to go eat!!

This Westin in DC is my go-to hotel whenever I am in town. Well located within the center of DC, well-appointed rooms and the best of all … a service staff that is amazing! From fast check-in with an extremely courteous front desk staff, to help with luggage, car parking and room amenities. Bar/restaurant Fringetree is highly recommended … bartenders Barry and his team Shawn, Iyana and Dana are the greatest I have seen at hotel bars and restaurants (and I travel a lot!).Food and beverages manager Mehret cares a lot about her guests, always with a smile fulfilling various requests, on everything from bar/restaurant during the day/evening to the great breakfast buffet with the very attentive Emebet and Alem in the morning! The service even starts before you arrive in the hotel! Manager Faye greatly watches out for arriving guest, especially repeating guests, and does his utmost best to accommodate wishes for special room assignments and amenities … when I arrive everybody already knows I am coming, and one of favorite rooms is ready -- awesome! This type of service across all staff, from valet guys, to porters, front desk, night shift (especially to be mentioned Brian and Kent!) and bar/restaurant personnel, and including managers, makes a big difference for a hotel, it’s like feeling a warm welcome being taken care of all the way.I surely will return!

My experience of this hotel was perfect. Check-in was easy and the staff was friendly and helpful. The concierge was helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower was awesome. Other than the price of the food, I have nothing negative to say about this hotel. I would definitely stay there again.

Faye and Wesley manage a great Front Desk team and they are great about having my check-in package ready so it streamlines the process for me. They also go above and beyond to make sure my room is perfect. Franck & Mehret make sure that I have nice food and beverage perks that come with being a repeat guest. Shawn, Kathy, Donna, Emebet, Alem and Ahmed have all taken great care of me in the restaurant and the bar. Patrick seems to be carrying on the positive team traditions that Steve and his predecessors started - if anything, stepping it up a notch in their preparation for returning guests. Hearing good things about the new GM (Anthony) but our schedules haven’t allowed us to meet yet. So Anthony, just know that you have an excellent core team and they are doing right by your guests!

In town for business, its a solid hotel. Stylish enough. Got in twenty minutes before the bar closed, and the bartender was perfectly happy to take our food and drink orders. Staff have all been friendly, accommodating, and competent. Rooms are nice enough. Mattress is nice. Shower has both an overhead rain faucet and a handle faucet, which is neat. Location is the real reason were here. Right next to our meeting location, but its also very near the white house. Convenient.

The hotel is perfect for a trip to Washington D.C. when one is likely to spend much more time outside of the hotel than in. It is perfect for business trips and for tourists who want to see the sites. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This applies to ALL of the staff: the young man outside the hotel, the concierge, the bartenders, etc. I like the inclusion of a refrigerator in the rooms and free water was a special treat.

We always enjoy our stays at Westin ! You can alway be sure that everything will be great ! Love the recognition of being a gold elite Bonvoy member. Buffet breakfast was very good, lots of variety. Internet was good . Great location, about a 15 minute walk to Mall . We were able to catch the cherry blossoms. Really enjoyed our stay !

Had a very pleasant stay in a very pleasant city. Front desk staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. Room was adequately stocked with water, tea and Starbucks coffee. The little touches like the bottles of lavender oil to help with sleep is noteworthy. DC is a very walkable city so location is ok. Has a 24 hour CVS and 7-11 close by.
