Dont forget to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ. ᴄᴏᴍ when booking your hotel. This website will compare hundreds of booking websites and normally will have prices much cheaper than others! Youre welcome :)! This resort is one of my favorites in this area. Ive been staying here for a very long time. If you stay for a few days you definitely wont regret it.Loved staying here, we plan on bringing the kids to Washington in August. We will definitely be staying here again, our view was awesome.
I just stayed here this week and cannot believe how poor the experience was at the hotel. After checking into my first room {Room 156, a single king that was reasonably spacious), I was unpacked and turned on the bathroom light to discover that it was strobing. A maintenance person arrived and simply said he could not fix it because it was a 2 person job, suggesting that I essentially put up with it until sometime later during my stay. After I indicated that was unacceptable, he said he would check to see if I could be moved. He came back and gave me keys to a new room down the hall (Room 152)which turned out to be a much smaller double, and left. I went to the front desk to see if they had a single king, which is what I had reserved. The front desk person said he was out of kings and only said he could offer me a complimentary breakfast, which is ridiculous.I simply went back to my new room (Room 152) and discovered that the TV and room safe also werent working. I gave up and just went to the hotel bar to be told the kitchen was closed and that they were out of iced tea. Fortunately, the next day, after I called the front desk, a kind technician was sent who ultimately did fix my TV and safe. Oh, there was also the fire alarm at 7 a.m. as well that only some people heard, resulting in being evacuated into the rain, with no further communications from the hotel. I heard other horrible experiences from colleagues staying there as well. For this to be a JW Marriott, supposedly an indicator of higher quality of service and facilities, is laughable, particularly for the rate being charged and for me being a Gold Life Member. The only good thing about the hotel is the location. I will do my utmost to avoid staying at this hotel in the future. Just utterly disappointing.
Comfortable, CLEAN, and great location, literally 2 blocks from the White House. Elevators are so cool. You put in your floor number and the display tells you which elevator car to take (A-F). And they come quick, so pay attention. Shopping and restaurants in walking distance. Would definitely stay again!
The best thing about this hotel is the lobby area and awesome location, I chose hotel due to the latter. The toiletries are larger sizes, but they are strongly lavender scented which is a terrible scent. Average rooms are tiny. I see the signifying details to meet their 4 star status such as chocolates on bed, extra robe, extra mirror, but it just didnt live up to its name.
Didnt know this was the first J.W. The lobby and rooms are nice with plenty of meeting rooms for events. Some of the rooms can be VERY far from the elevator and theres no easy stairway access if youd rather just take the stairs.
Clean room, courteous, professional staff..perfect location to park the car and never move it again until check out. Walking distance to everything possible.
Room was clean, staff was friendly. Specially the Technician, I think his name is Alberto, very friendly, Providing above and beyond service. Love seeing workers actually enjoy what he do.
Not Sure If The Other Reviews Were Paid By A Company!Ive Stayed in JW Marriott & The Ritz-Carlton Across The Country And Never Been This Disappointed Before. Upon Arrival The Service Was Horrible, No help Was Offered To Get Our Bags Up To The Top Floor (15th). No Help With My Disabled Mother (Wheelchair). The Room Was The Equivalent To The Motel 6 In The Middle Of Nowhere & Nothing Like The Executive Sweet They Referenced. A/C Vents Were Full Of Dust, Behind The Beds Were Old Candy And Trash From Previous Guest & Or Guests. Bathroom Was Dirty. No Water Was Offered. Will NEVER Visit This Location In My Lifetime. Bill Marriott Should Turn Over In His Sleep For This.
Room was very nice and very clean. Wide variety of attractions and restaurants are within walking distance
If you like having useless flat pillows to sleep on...come here.i called for more pillows/ firmer foam ones...nope all flat..like you stack 3 together for some kind of support that just fades away in 4 minutes....absolutely the worst night at hotel i have ever had....update: was bored and decided to see when the air filter was last replaced. 8/17/2020!!!
Its really mediocre for the price and marriott category. No upgrades past the smallest king room for an ambassador? Small, outdated rooms that need to be renovated. Club has been closed for some time, unlike others in the area that have reopened or have a restaurant. There are many other nicer marriott brands to choose from - or even other hotels in General in the same price range with better rooms and amenities.Fun fact, I was told this was the original marriott. So thats pretty cool.
You can check-in, mobile key, and check-out all through App. No need to stop at front desk at all.Great location, a few minutes walk to National mall, White House, and other spot!!Definitely repeat!!Valet parking was expensive and crowded though. Always long line.
Does not live up to the JW name. Very sad hotel. Air conditioning broken/very weak. People try to be nice but no matter how hard they tried they couldnt make up for how horrible this place was built and maintained. You should come enjoy this experience, worth every penny. GFY.
Probably the cleanest hotel room Ive ever stayed in! Thats where the positives end. A very swanky lobby leads to underwhelming rooms. Our room was very small and the queen beds were definitely NOT queen size. Beds were very uncomfortably hard. Mine had a depression on the side, where people sat at the side table, that had me rolling that direction all night. There is absolutely no sound barrier! I could hear every conversation in the hall and the rooms around me. The plumbing and flushing sounds from other rooms was obnoxious. There is a big gap under every door, no idea why, that probably contributes to the sound. Many rooms, the ones without a view, face an inner courtyard, so unless you keep the blind closed, everyone can see into your room.No microwave is provided, though there is a small refrigerator.Shower was instantly hot and felt great! However, there was only one hook to hang a towel and nothing to put the hand towel on. Not ideal for a family. Toilet paper - rough! Bring your own.Room service - we ordered a burger. It was not very good. Took a while to come up. Theres a local pub a block away that has outstanding burgers! Our car smelled like vape smoke after picking it up. Neither of us use that stuff or smoke, and I gave respiratory health issues, so that was not appreciated at all. We werent permitted to self-park.You will feel nickel-and-dimed here. WiFi is not free. The breakfast is heavily greasy, bland, and outrageously expensive. If I were to return to D.C., I would stay elsewhere. Not worth the price or hassel.
Quite good but very massive great location
Never going back again. The beds are too small yet they take bookings for multiple people in one room when one bed can only fit one person. We thought we booked two queen beds for 4 people and let me tell you, only two could sleep there. It was horrible and the front did not try to help us saying that this is how it is in every room. Then why take my money and lie to me? Also they charged me $50 when the receipt showed me I only had to pay $23 for the parking. The doorman or whatever is so rude. He literally did not greet any of my family members in our way in/out. Total disaster for a pricey hotel. We thought our first time in Washington was going to be special, and too bad it’s going to be remembered for an awful experience at JW Washington.
When we arrived there was no available parking at the hotel, and we were not allowed to stop to unload our luggage. We had to pay to park several city blocks away in a questionable garage and walk through downtown to check in. When we went to check in, the room reserved for us was incorrect, missing a bed, so we ended up having to be switched to a different room with a sleeper sofa for one of our guests. The wifi and breakfast is not free, and the room did not even include a microwave to reheat the food we had. A maid barged into the room in after we arrived and changed the sheets on the sleeper sofa, so we presume we were laying on dirty bedding. We were truly dissatisfied with the service we received here for the cost of the stay. I would recommend any other standard hotel chain for your stay in DC.
This was by far one of the best hotels we have stayed that lately. Everyone is extremely friendly and hotel is very very clean and in a wonderful location. I would like to give a huge shout out to a manager from housekeeping Mr. Thomas Howkins and his wonderful worker Kpandjapou Ouadja Leo who have been kind and honest enough to return my diamond necklace that I have left in our room by accident. Ms. Leo in fact was the one who cleaned our room returned the necklace in and Mr Howkins mailed it back to us! You don’t see such kindness in the world often and I am forever grateful for their their help in this matter. My family and I will most definitely return and stay here again. I would Highly recommend this hotel
I was a bit disappointed especially given the cost for room, parking, and limited food options. Ive stayed at several Marriott hotels in the area from the Courtyard to the JW. I strongly recommend the Marriott Bethesda off Pook Road, excellent service, restaurant, rooms, and fitness facility; convenient location/parking, fair pricing. Pook Road Marriott is definitely a better experience as compared to JW in DC in my opinion (esp if you do not need to be downtown).
Everything was good except that they did not give me my points. Even the front desk said I would get it. I trusted them but they broke my trust. They even scanned my code on the app. This is the only reason why I gave them a one star. I’ll change it once I get my points. But everything else was good.
Positive: Managers willingness to accommodate Negative: Parking cost
Negative: They did not have enough valets. It took 40 minutes to get our car. Eventually, one family asked for their keys and got their own car.
Great clean and friendly staff, thank you for a great experience, requested a crib and they delivered to us in minutes. My baby pee on the bed, sorry, and they replaced even the mattress cover. Thank you J W Marriot for such a great experience.
Excellent hotel. Note theres a small Starbucks in the shop The Market in the lobby which isnt shown on the map nor are there any signs
Outstanding customer service. Great food. Excellent sleep. Lots of hot water for showers especially at night. Very clean. Ms. Emerjy (front desk) was the best experience of my entire trip. Very kind and helpful. Just say Hi if you happen to book a stay. I hope shes promoted to CEO. Outstanding service. Kudos Ms. Emerjy;) and Marriott is lucky to have you.Pay extra for monument view. Its worth it. Our stay was July 4th weekend. Im very picky about hotels. This is truly a category 6.Well done!!!
Positive: Location, cleanliness, following covid protocol, very good breakfast buffet. Negative: No.
Everything is greatThe staff are friendlyNear the White HouseNo free parking available
Very nice. Close to the White House and other attractions. Didnt interact at all with any hotel staff thanks to mobile key and check in/out.
I am a few nights into my stay and I already feel like this has been an awesome experience. Overall, the quality is there and the hotel employees have treated me well. We stayed in the room with the Washington monument view. Here is the good and the not so good as experienced by a family of four visiting DC:Good:- Close to all the major tourist spots- Hotel employees respect mask guidance. Hand sanitizer available throughout the hotel.- Hotel employees at the front desk are friendly and respond to my messages within the Mariott app promptly.- The room service food tastes great! We liked the pizza, Angus beef burger, and the JW Mushroom Rice Bowl with chicken.- Delivery times for room service food for four people is good, usually around 20 minutes.- The Washington monument view overlooks Pennsylvania Avenue which offers a lot of interesting sights. Just yesterday we saw a huge police escort caravan like you see on TV for high ranking officials, and later we also watched a community dance event where people showed some serious moves.- Amazon Fresh friendly! The hotel employee put our groceries on a dolly for us to take up to our room -- no heavy lugging needed! Thats just 5/5 awesome.- TV has Netflix on it but you must sign in with your account.- Calm and quiet -- you can relax and sleep a whole night.- Great cancelation policy by Mariott. I didnt have to prepay for my stay like at other hotels in the area. That gave me peace of mind. The not so good:- The Grilled Bell & Evans Chicken Breast portion size is too small for $24. You can get more value out of your dollar with the JW Mushroom Rice Bowl with chicken.- $4 for 375ml water; $8 for 800ml. Hence the need for Amazon Fresh delivery of water.Ill update my review as I find out more. Thank you!
BEAUTIFUL HOTEL...BOOK A ROOM AND ENJOY YOURSELF!
As a titanium elite Marriott member Ive stayed at a lot of Marriott hotels around the world. In June 2021, Every service is still closed from covid while every venue outside of the hotel is open for normal business. You cant get a cup of coffee until 7. Find another place until this JW decides to return to an acceptable standard
Excellent service, great location and amazing/professional staff
Perfect location, great service and amazing breakfast
The first night we got to the hotel we moved to a different room since the shower was not working. I called later the front desk and they never answer . At one point they answered the phone and put on music for over 10 minutes and no one ever came back to see what we needed. I called three times but it rang for a long time with no one answering the phone. Poor customer service
The Washington D.C. JW Marriott is located in the epicenter of D.C.... many historic attractions are within walking distance while shopping and some cool restaurants are surrounding the hotel as well. The service is excellent but the rooms are very small but if you can reserve a room with the Monument view then definitely grab one... you wont be disappointed.
I was not happy. The escalator was not working.
My favorite place to stay when on the DC area.
The hotel is in a very convenient location for business ( and pleasure) in the DC downtown area. The lobby is gorgeous and inviting. The hotel staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. The ELEVATORS ... I love the elevators and the system it runs on making the wait time for an elevator almost zero ! The meeting rooms are very nice, the lobby bar and restaurant were also great. The breakfast buffet was perfection! The hotel is walking distance to many wonderful restaurants, which is so nice . The Guest rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The maids are very friendly, always greeting us as we come and go . The bed in our room was very comfortable. Slept so well! JW Marriott excellence!
Do not, do not, do not waste your time with this hotel. I am Ambassador level Marriott- 200 nights a year. I know a bit about travel. I had several issues during my stay and the hotel has totally ignored me. I got Marriott corporate involved- no response from the hotel. I got my Ambassador involved- still no response. They ruined my anniversary and I feel for the staff, because all we heard while on site was we arent allowed to help you. It has been a month and I cannot get anyone in management to talk with me. Stay here at your own risk, because if anything is wrong you are going to have to live with it.
Good place close to everything in DC
Nice place to stay!
Great hotel in the Federal triangle
The hotel is perfectly situated, very top standard. The only remark - a tip for guests - you MUST look carefully around your car brought from the underground garage - mine was damaged and that I noticed it only at the first stop after leaving the hotel (literally 30 minutes later ...) the management of the company running the parking washed their hands from liability for damage, even though the marks on the car showed clearly where the damage had occurred...
Boring low quality hotel with unhelpful staff. Paper thin walls, expect to hear the people on both sides of you sleeping. Stay elsewhere.
Terrible customer care
Very friendly staff from the welcome security staff to the check in staff. We were quiet please at the service. Frey offered the upmost in customer service when we checked it. She asked questions about what we needed to make our stay comfortable including helping me to find my Marriott Bonvoy number, also offering a list of the local restaurant guide while smiling at the same time.We look forward to coming again to the most convenient location with friends and family.
As a frequent traveler to our nations capital, Ive stayed at the JW many times. It recently completed a renovation of its public spaces. This included eliminating Starbucks and adding a bigger store with food, beverage and gift items. The rooms are comfortable and well stocked with tea, coffee and water. The staff are friendly and helpful. The concierge lounge, while small, provides plentiful options at both breakfast and evening light fare. The location is close to Federal Triangle Metro line and walking distance to dining and shopping. Great hotel as is expected from the flagship JW brand.
Rude staff. Pretentious.
I came to DC for business and chose the JW Marriot because of my stay recently in Colorado. I would recommend to anyone coming for business or pleasure. The staff is extremely helpful and accommodating. The rooms are very clean and kept that way the entire stay, and the food (I only had breakfast) was fresh and delicious. During my stay there were two incidents in which the management staff quickly resolved. I look forward to coming back next year when I visit on business again.
Our family spent Christmas in DC and stayed at the JW Marriott for 7 nights. We would definitely stay there again. It is a fabulous location, close to everything. The staff were absolutely superb!!!! Rooms were clean and beds very comfortable. The hotel is beautiful and the food was very good. We could not have asked for anything better. Everyone had a great experience at the JW Marriott and would highly recommend it.
We had a two-fold reason to visit this property. First to celebrate the New Year and to attend the Miami Heat-Washington Wizards basketball game nearby. The hotel was situated within walking distance to the arena and to all of the major sights and museums. The weather wast great but it was nice to get back to the hotel from the cold rain. The lobby is really modern but inviting, the staff is warm and friendly, and the bar/restaurants are really good, especially if you just want to stay in if the weather is not ideal. In fact, we saw in 2020 in the hotel bar and it was intimate and not full of partiers. Perfect for my daughter and I. The restaurant was closed most of the time, however, the menu is still available in the bar most nights. Food was excellent nonetheless. If youre planning a stay in DC this is a great location to enjoy it.
The JW Marriott was the perfect hotel for our stay. Clearly refurbished, well maintained and spotless, this hotel was more than I could have hoped for for the cost. It is centrally located within a 10-20 minute walk to all things Washington and staying int he Penn Quarter affords you easy walking access to many restaurants including two of Jose Andres restaurants. One of the best hotel experiences I have had.
I felt that $63/day in parking was extreme For. 2 night stay and should have been noted at the time of reservation. It would have influenced where I stayed. Also with 2 small children, the room was very small and our fridge didn’t work enough to keep milk cold. I didn’t like that if someone went to the bathroom there were no fans and the door was glass, therefore everyone would wake up whenever any went to the bathroom or woke up early to shower. This is not a hotel to be sharing a room with a co-worker on a trip.Valet takes no joke, 30 minutes, so you need to call for your car, wait 25 minutes and then call bell services.Elevator system was weird at first, but wonderful and fast, once we figured it out! We visited every bar and restaurant and the service was great, staff was amazing. There were plenty of options in the hotel pantry store for fresh sandwiches (we purchased 3) and beverages. Brunch was FABULOUS!! Front desk, bell desk, valet were all great. Plenty of areas to sit in main (HUGE) lobby.Rooms were clean and fresh, tv worked fine (limited channels), bar put on auburn game for us! Water pressure good, coffee good.
Nice and in Washington near White House the parliament house the America assembly house the govt house the president house. and good location has the hotel well situation where the family can make fun and facilities anyone can go and family facilities are good and it has different and good protocol where the suite are given and you make with suite and the owner is kind and helping the team he is giving extra alliance to staff and servising them as team can serve as owner
Where do I start, this Marriot should take there 4 Stars down, they dont have valet parking like there website says. So they give you a photocopy of where to park, next all the restaurants are closed, so they give you another photocopy paper of there room service menu, you would think they could get things printed professional. Next USB port in room broken call front Desk, was told they would send manetence, no one every show up. They didnt provide any Glasses in the room for drinking, had to call to get some sent up, they set 4 plastic cups by our door. Next we only had two cup in the room for early morning coffee, they new they we checked in as a group of 4. Next no bell captain, to help with luggage, thought I was at Hampton inn, My wife notice that here Dec 12-13-14 and no Christmas decorations any where, on the way here from Dallas, Tx all the other hotels had decorations up. Check out with the guest relations man, he did not even have a suit coat on, told him of my experience, explained to him that they should be stepping up there game not dropping from. Hotel going down to 2 Star level, will not be returning to this Marriott hotel. They May not be open much longer, be sure Skip this Hotel
Nice hotel. Great location. Nice amenities. I recommend not signing up for the time share presentation. Especially if they offer you any vouchers. If you do not attend the presentation they will charge your credit card for the amount of the voucher. This is even if you do not use the voucher. I think that is somewhat of a shady business practice. Especially for Marriott Bonvoy members.
I am a Titanium member and was pleased with the upgrade that gave us the best view in DC as well as extra space we appreciated having for our multiple night stay. The executive lounge did not disappoint. We aren’t alcohol drinkers so we can’t comment on that aspect but all other drinks and food were well stocked and delicious. The staff throughout the property served us well. The location was perfect for seeing the sights of DC. Thanks JW DC for a great stay.
The JW is a very nice hotel located in the heart of DC within walking distance to all the wonderful sites the city has to offer. Be prepared to experience a cozy bed with all the necessary amenities you would need. Best part is that the most wonderful retail stores are right around the corner for some perfect retail therapy. If you are lucky, you may get a glimpse of President Trump while staying here which is always exciting. Highly recommended!
Superior facilities, very comfortable and good taste in decoration. It has a very good location at the heart of Washington, DC. Staff shows courtesy and they are all the time able and available to satisfy our requests. The conference rooms are well designed and comfortable. The Excecutive Lounge (on Floor 14) has a magnificent view. The rooms are quiet and well equiped. The only unfortunate thing is that the pool, that used to be on floor 1, was cancelled at all. Staying at JW Marriott Washington DC is a worthwhile experience!
The JW Marriott had the quietest room with the most comfortable mattress and pillows of anywhere we have every stayed. The hotel is very convenient to everything we needed in the district. The service from doorman, to housekeeping, to security, to food service was the best we have every had. The staff is obviously well trained in customer service and communication techniques. Unlike some of the Marriott Hotels that have adopted trendy too loud music that they say is driven by corporate, this place recognizes that the customer prefers quietly played music or no music at all.
From check=in to check-out we were treated extremely well by the JW Marriott staff. Every question on check in was answered briefly and accurately. The staff was very professional and very friendly. We were able to find our conference rooms very easily and moving around the hotel was a snap. A friend and I had late night burger which as wonderful. The conference rooms were well designed and all of the electronics worked perfectly, NO GLITCHES! All in all, we had a wonderful stay at the JW Marriott in DC and recommend it highly to anyone looking for luxury during a stay in DC!
If anybody is trying to find good deals for hotels visit HotelBuIIy. com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere!Amazing hotel with connected self parking. They are right in the heart of DC making it close to everything. The hotel is very clean and organized. The staff was always very helpful and the rooms were clean. Some of the rooms are quite spacious!
From the moment we arrived we were treated very well, and made to feel special.. The newly updated lobby was sparkling. We like the conversation areas that were prevalent. We actually met with friends in the lobby, and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere there.
Our family had a great time. The location of the hotel was excellent. Manuela, your concierge, did an excellent job helping us prepare for tours and reservations. The beds were wonderfully comfortable after our long days of seeing the city. It was so nice of you to have free water handy for us even when we came back from walks. Thanks again.
The best hotel in town very clean and the staff was awesome and beautiful views...
Perfect location for an upscale hotel. Within walking distance of most tourist sites in the National Mall and surrounding area. Great restaurants nearby. Staff is so accommodating and friendly. Fell in love with the speed of the elevator.
Incredible location. Nice lobby and rooms. Top notch for JW Marriot.
Stayed here for a conference and found the location convenient and comfortable. Staff and service were all excellent. Our room’s walls were thin, glad a creature comfort included in room were earplugs. All else was quality.
Could not do better that this centrally-located, yet quiet hotel in the middle of everything. Staff is outstanding; facilities, except for the Concierge Lounge, are nice. Suites are comfortable but lack much closet and drawer space for those of us on longer stays who do not want to live out of suitcases; Concierge Lounge is desperately in need of updating - it is small, dark, and cramped, and it closes on weekends. The concierge service on the lobby was excellent and accommodating.
This hotel staff was so helpful and friendly. We had special requests ...(husband with cancer, couple trying to celebrate a wedding anniversary) and oh my! They upgraded our room and sent special treats. Thank you for making our visit so memorable. Restaurants and museums are within walking distance-wonderful location!!! No pool available, but so much to see nearby we hardly noticed. Love the elevators that tell YOU which elevator will get you to your correct floor!! Well done and highly recommend!
I guess the ultimate compliment is “I will go back”. Next time I am in WDC I will stay here. They didn’t disappoint. The elevators are awesome for a high rise. Quick quick quick. Good job by all.
This is the best Marriott Ive stayed at in years. Much better than other Marriotts Ive stayed at and super clean in my room which is very important to me. The location was perfect for me to walk to my meeting. Theyre near several good restaurants. Unfortunately, I didnt really care for the food at the restaurant/grill in the hotel but my stay was GREAT.
In the heart of the District and literally around the corner from the White House, this property never disappoints. Easy access to Metro, plenty of fine restaurants on property or within a short walking distance. You just really cannot go wrong. And the Fitness Center is top notch!
Big hotel recently renovated. Very good and yet nothing remarkable. I often stay there because of good quality and very good location. Starbucks in the lobby. Simple cafe one floor down. A good bar.
I slept like a boss. Nice hot bath. Staff was top-shelf excellent.
The hotel was just ridiculously nice and clean. Staff was friendly and even upgraded my room. Flew in from Hawaii for my nieces wedding and they took excellent care of me and my family while we stayed there. I don’t ever leave reviews but I felt this definitely needed one. Next time I fly into DC I know exactly where I’m staying. Highly recommend. Walking distance to pretty much all the shops and restaurants. Close to the White House and historical buildings. Great location for the night life and rooftop bars.
Awesome location. Great staff. We had a two day meeting and everything was great. Only issue was dealing with minor noise from renovations that are happening but overall, we had a wonderful experience. Easy walking distance to good restaurants and the food at the JW is very good. Spent some time at the bar both nights.
Weve been to many business functions at the JW Marriott, which were all well done. This time we came as tourists to visit the museums and monuments. Everything was lovely! The room was comfortable (were going to buy some of the soft pillows!) The staff was very helpful and the location was perfect -- so close/convenient to everything we wanted to do. We will definitely return!
Great property! The beds are heavenly and the service is wonderful. This hotel is in a super convenient location with access to many national monuments and great restaurants. You cant go wrong here!
Husband and I wanted a great mini vaca and we got it. Washington DC has so much to offer. This hotel was right in the middle of everything. Steps away from the White House. This hotel has a great and friendly staff. Rooms were spotless and updated. Will definitely be back.
We were greeted by friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating staff. We were impressed with the people at check in, the concierge and especially Fifi at the breakfast buffet. The rooms were beautiful and VERY clean. That impressed me very much. I was able to do yoga in my room and felt comfortable lying on the floor! Nothing bad to say about this stay. Everything positive!!
I know we are not the first couple to ever be upgraded on our wedding night and will not be the last. We choose to stay here because we have stayed here once previously. From the staff at check-in, to the anyone that delivered services to the room, to the hostess and staff at the restaurant the next morning for breakfast, they all delivered extremely professional service, always with a smile and a feeling that made you feel at home. The hotel is clean, and well kept in every spot we saw. The upgrade to the presidential suite was amazing and beyond anything that we could ever imagine. The monument view is great and with the balcony access that we had was even better. I know not everyone will be upgraded or have the same experience as we did, but having stayed here once before with a standard room i can tell you nothing was different. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and they put all the right touches on things. The staff is top notch and it is close to anything in DC that you would want to do.
The hotel had a perfect location for our sight seeing visit. It was luxurious and inviting and our room was comfortable and very clean. The staff were friendly and professional. Overall, we had an excellent experience and hope to stay at your hotel again.
This hotel was situated in a very strategic location for both tourists and people conducting business in Washington. The hotel was clean, the staff was very helpful, and it was reasonably priced. Its a great hotel for families that want to visit the national monuments. The one thing that I cant get over is that in 2019, this hotel did not offer free Wi-Fi. I find that unacceptable, especially for a major hotel chain like the Marriott. If that doesnt bother you, then this is a great hotel.
I guess the ultimate compliment is ?I will go back?. Next time I am in WDC I will stay here. They didn?t disappoint. The elevators are awesome for a high rise. Quick quick quick. Good job by all.
This hotel continues to amaze me with every visit. Their staff is welcoming and friendly while the hotel itself is both modern and elegant. Valet service was quick and courteous and as always very helpful. Our check-in experience was thorough while remaining swift and prompt. The elevator system that services this hotel is quite unique. You are assigned a car which gives you a VIP lift straight to your floor. Once we got to our room it was clean and presentable. The furniture and technology in the room itself is modern and new. If you are lucky you will also get a breathtaking view of the Washington monument. I highly recommend this hotel.
My bed and room were extremely comfortable and had everything a person would need for a stay. I use the Marriott for the quality of bedding, dependable quality of the overall room and this JW did not disappoint. The staff I interacted with were all very pleasant and helpful. I will stay here again for the great ease of location and beautiful view to go to sleep with from the room.
This hotel which my wife and I have never stayed before was nothing short of excellence. The room was immaculate, the hotel room service was top notch quality. The check in / check out was easy and the staff were always available. The JW Marriott in Washington D.C. is a must stay if you want to be close to all of the main monuments and dining areas. We had dinner reservations at a popular spot in the area and skipped it to have room service. The Chefs Table was amazing!
I enjoy staying at this hotel. The staff is nice, accommodating, and they are eager to satisfy your needs to be sure you have a great experience. The rooms make you feel luxurious. Theyre clean and modernized. The hotel is conveniently located for sightseeing, dinning, and night life. I will stay here again. Its my favorite.
Rooms were clean. Staff was great, love the on site parking.
I got a little lost and came upon the JW Marriott by accident, we pulled into the valet area and everyone was so nice. My hubby said lets stay here, so we did. I had no idea what to expect. So pleasantly surprised. Everyone was so nice, great location, walking distance to everything, shopping, museums, restaurants, metro. The beds and room were up to date and very nice. Best sleep I have had in a while. I plan on staying at the JW Marriott more often. The only hotel for me in DC is the JW Marriott.
The staff at the JW Marriott Washington, DC are excellent. Any questions we had, someone was right there to answer and give additional information. The cleaning staff was top notch! Overall, the hotel is very clean. It was a Mother/Daughter weekend experience. We felt very safe during our stay. Would definitely recommend to my friends.
We stayed 4 nights and had a wonderful stay. Location is great to reach all tourist sites. Felt very safe in the area even walking around at midnight. We used scooters to get around most of the time and they were conveniently located right outside the hotel most of the time. All the staff was super helpful and friendly. We ordered room service for a dinner and breakfast. Food was delicious. Room was very clean and beds were comfy! Very modern, up to date hotel. Will definitely recommend to others and stay here in the future.
I have stayed at this hotel numerous times while working in DC. It is close to everything and the service is always EXCELLENT. I appreciate the attention to detail and the quiet which is much needed after a long work day. A big plus... The staff are always willing to help and have a smile. Thank You!
