Clerk was late, then rude with three customers. An ongoing problem with this branch for seven years. One clerk is great, the others are an embarrassment to USPS.
The lady at this post office is a really lovely person - her attitude is fabulous and customer service is fantastic. I go out of my way to come to this post office rather than my local one where they are surly. Kim (I think that’s her name) is so helpful.
The lady in-charge is kind and patient with requests. I visit this outlet often and never had an issue.
Rude service! I was there today, and the attendant was beyond rude. I had a return, and literally she would not give me piece of tape to fully close my package. She said I needed to pay $4 for a roll of tape. I have been to other USPS and UPS stores and never have I had to pay for tape. Clearly this individual hates her job and her life. If you don’t want to get yelled at for a piece of tape I suggest you go to another location.
Great post office. They open and close accurately and according to their posted hours. The clerk is incredibly knowledgeable and humorous woman, polite and professional to a T.
Quick and friendly service. I didn’t have any problems when I dropped off my package for shipping. The woman working the counter was very nice.

Its a small post office, sure, so theres that. I received very kind, generous service from the staff. Hayes, I believe her name was, was great. Went out of her way to help me. Much appreciated!
No priority stamps. None. So... you know. I mean, if you don’t have stamps at the post office...
Rudest staff member I have ever dealt with. Did not explain anything, had an extremely condescending tone like I should have already known the answer, when asking for a clarification she would say I just told you etc. She was talking to somebody on her cellphone and kept rushing to the back to keep talking. Literally every review says the same thing and USPS just doesnt care I guess. Never thought I would consider going to a post office farther from my home just to not have my mood ruined.
The worst so-called “service” I’ve ever seen in my life. The person at the register was unnecessarily rude and was clearly not listening to what I said and just repeated a sentence over and over again like she was speaking to a child. If you won’t even listen to my question and lack basic decent manners then why are you working at a job for the PUBLIC? Utterly revolting.
Store supposed to be open at 10am. On November 5th, it was still closed at 10:30am. This is the day before the election, and the post office is closed.They were finally open at 11:30am. Staff was very rude, and blamed customers for the store being open late. Very unprofessional.
The clerk was very rude and if you ask her a question regarding which method is best way to ship, she answers in a tone which you should already know the answer with an attitude. We definitely have a choice when it comes to mail and this location I will not use anymore.
The service at 2512 Virginia Avenue NW is poor to say the least. The postlady that works at that station with long braids is rude, condescending, disrespectful, unpleasant and ignorant. She never smiles and consistently mentions that the way I taped a package or wrote the mailing address on a package is incorrect and will most likely be returned (even though it never is). Every time I mail an item, she finds a reason to be dissatisfied. She attempts to intimidate me, like the time when I used a small priority box to mail an item and when the box wouldnt close properly, I used taped to secure the items and she berated me for using tape and told me if I didnt remove the tape, the item would most likely be returned (which it never was). I also mailed an envelope with a pre-paid label, yet she charged me to mail the item (even though there was a pre-paid amazon label). When I pointed out the mistake she rudely claimed she didnt see the large label on the front of the envelope. When she berates me, she speaks loudly so all the customers hear and its embarrassing. After the transaction is finished, she swiftly turns her back to me and walks to the back without ever taking my package. I live in the area and cannot even go to my local post office. Please transfer the postlady with long braids at the 2512 Virginia Avenue NW station.
Most Post Offices have rude people who seem to hate their jobs. Which makes you wonder why they are allowed to represent USPS. But the one at Watergate takes the cake! She is so unfriendly it is unbelievable!

Rude, unhelpful staff. No one else in post office. I asked her to weigh a small package. She gruffly told me it was too small to fit a USPS label on the front. I asked if it could be stuck on the top -- NO! Has to go on the FRONT! Youll have to purchase an envelope or another box to ship it in! I asked if she would just weigh it so I could figure cost -- $3. Then I came up with the idea of just sticking stamps on the front. Asked if she had $1 stamps I could fit on the front. She grumped, warned me that they probably wouldnt fit. I asked to see them anyway -- surprise - they all fit! Its HER job to come up with ideas to help out the customer, not MINE. As soon as she gave me the receipt, she turned her back on me and walked away. Didnt offer to take the package from me, told me through the wall to just PUT IT IN THE BIN! Very unpleasant person. And for no good reason that I could tell.
The principal staff person is excellent -- outstanding knowledge, demeanor and personality, helpful and efficient. Makes going to the post office a pleasure

The USPS woman who is always there is rude and preposterously discourteous as a matter of course. She should not be in contact with the public. Complain to US Inspector general on the web. This needs to stop. You are paying this woman with your taxes.

Window clerks here are for the most part incompetent. Ignorance of postal services, charging you unauthorized fees, and a manager that is almost impossible to reach.
Horrible experience. The lady that is usually there came more than an hour late on one occasion. Additionally, extremely unprofessional how she deals with customers. When a costumer has questions she answers like she is talking to a child.
This post office has been unable to print postage for over a week.
