By for the worse gym I’ve been to. They gym had low ceiling around the perimeter, and in the section with the stairclimbers you literally had to hunch down a bit to keep from hitting you head on the cheap foam ceiling panels. It pretty much reminded me of an oversized (although it’s actually a small gym) crappy hotel gym. Accept in this case you should be upset that you pay to work out here.
Pretty decent gym. Clean enough, not super crowded, have enough equipment and a decent variety. I dont do group fitness, but it seems like they offer tons of different classes at all different times of day. Locker rooms are clean enough. Great staff.
This gym is a hidden gem in the busy city!Crunch gyms offer unlimited towels, Bliss shower products, programmable electronic lockers (yep, you never need to carry a pesky lock again!) and other locker room accessories to make the workout experience extremely luxurious—all you need to bring is yourself and your clothes! The staff is always available to answer questions and guide you into the best exercise practice for you. How does it get better than that?!?!I recommend going in today and speaking with Davis and/or Karen to find out how you can join and enjoy everything this gym has to offer, and who knows maybe I will see you in one of their 300 monthly classes (which are included in the membership).Take care and BE WELL!
I had the opportunity to attend both Cortlands TRX class and Anyas yoga class- amazing classes! Perfectly cued - I loved the classes and wish I lived closer!!!
Came to this gym yesterday and was pretty impressed. I bought a day pass for $20, which is available for 24 hours (so you can actually get two days out of it, and they even said theyre pretty lenient when it comes to that). The locker rooms are clean, complimentary towels and digital locks, good music, and most any equipment you should need. They didnt have a reverse fly machine but I did without it. Would recommend others to check it out!
Went in for a free trial my review isnt the most informed. It was a reasonably priced gym with basic amenities like towel service. I didnt really like the class I took and the locker room was a little haphazard. The staff is super nice and equipment is good, just not the right gym for me personally.
Great gym for the basics. clean, and rarely overcrowded. few gems on the staff but majority are blahhh and don’t seem very enthused. a suggestion, keep an iphone charger at the front desk for members, would be greatly appreciated on days we may need a charge..
I have lived in DC for over 10 years and joined many gyms. Crunch is the best! Super clean and crazy equipped! It has a huge amount of cardio equipment, tons of free weights and benches and fantastic classes! Glad I finally found a gym worth its membership
I love this facility. its always clean, the instructors are friendly, and the classes are great. i really feel pumped to work out there. The trainers are always will to help by going above and beyond to show anyone how to use anything in the gym.
Great gym with hard to find equipment all in one place, accompanied by a nice staff and equally nice members. Some music there, but bring your own headsets for your better sounds. Recommended
Fantastic gym on all levels! The staff is extremely friendly, from the desk staff to the personal trainers to the janitorial staff. Its also not crowded during the peak morning or noon time hours. I dont go often after works so not sure of that period of time. The locker rooms are clean and the Bliss shower products are a nice touch. You also dont need a lock as they have digital lockpads. I would highly recommend this gym and am actually sad that my new job isnt close enough to continue my membership.
Theyre closed and didnt put it anywhere online. Not cool dudes
I dont always go to the Metro Center location of Crunch, but each time that I have, I have had an enjoyable experience. The classes are great and not too crowded (btw, I am reviewing this during the summer, which is usually has lower attendance). Their locker rooms also dont require you to bring a lock, which is great. This location has newer machines including really new and great machines that mimic body movement despite being on a machine. Machines are set up in a nice circuit as well, so if you are new to the gym, you dont have to go to far to be able to do a full body workout. I would recommend trying out a spin class and/or using the Jacobs ladder.
I think that the gym is a very good workout environment. I think that the staff and managers are selective and patron friendly. They speak to most, but not all customers. Some staff and or managers are more friendly than others. The trainers are client friendly.
I signed up for personal training session with Donna and it was worth every single dollar. Donna takes the time to work personally with each of her clients. She comes up with a training regiment for her clients thats tailored to each of their particular goals. Shell put you through hell and back and kick your ass every time to the point where you probably want to curse her out. But youll feel all the better for it at the end. Ive now been training with her for about six months and I feel much stonger, have more energy and endurance, and feel a whole lot better than when I began. I definitely recommend you sign up for her sessions; you wont regret it.
Great gym, clean and user-friendly with a broad range of equipment and a decent selection of free weights. Dan could not have been more helpful!
I love coming to Crunch & have been a member for almost 2 years. Currently takingthe Hardcore class with Donna! Its right near my job so easy access once I get off work.Donna is an awesome trainer and Hardcore class is a lot of fun even though its hard work for sure (my legs burn as I write this haha). Shes patient with me and really pushes me to do my best and beat my previous workouts (more weight on with the leg presses, better pushups, etc.) I highly recommend Hardcore if you like to work out with others and work as a team to get better.
I had a great experience. The people are friendly and the employees and managers are all nice. The gym is clean and organized and I recommend anyone in the area looking for a gym to try it out!!!
Very friendly staff (Danny is amazing!), abundant machines and equipment, awesome class offerings, and reasonably priced. Im so glad I found Crunch!
Experienced, friendly staff. Small space but enough room to cover essential weight equipment, cardio machines and studio space. Always clean.
Great Gym Love everything about it! The classes are the best and the instructors will work with you fulfill your ultimate fitness goal.
For 20$ you are able to make a 24 hour pas. Very useful for travelers. Good equiped gym and friendly staff.
Friendly staff, very clean and organized gym. Great selection of classes and machines. Only one bench for bench press could force a long wait in the afternoon.
Its a very basic gym. There is enough equipment get a full workout in. If visiting, the day pass is 20$. Equipment is not taken care of and at least one machine doesnt even have numbers telling you how much weight is on it. The workers were eating on the gym floor (pizza, something brought from home that smelt like fish, and beef jerkey). Not an inspiring crowd to workout with.
This is the WORST GYM EVER! I am from a foreign country and was in D.C for a study program. After my program finished I tried to cancel my membership, I went to the gym and applied for cancelation. They told me I needed proof that I was leaving. I came back and presented my tickets and filled out the proper paperwork. They told me that everything was fine and my membership would be canceled. After returning to my country they charged me again. I then wrote them asking why and they said proof of leaving the country was not enough. They said I would need to prove I was finished with my course in the U.S, despite not being in the U.S any longer. I then sent my certificate stating I finished the course. They then stated that my certificate and tickets out of the country was not enough to prove I was gone. They have proof of my passport, my visa, my tickets, immigration stamps, and they STILL continued to charge me.It has been 3 months and this issue still hasnt been resolved. This company is a SCAM!!!! I have talked to them several times and they have reassured me that it is resolved, but they still continue to charge me.I have fulfilled their every request and I am still charged. DONT USE THIS COMPANY!
Marco was a bad sales rep or whatever he is, showed ne nothing jus pointed where I needed to go and let me do everything on my own unfortunately I have to go to the gym cuz its only gym around where I work at well there is Vida! But that is too expensive, I would not give him my commission money and he did not want to help out, very bland he was. I. Even offered to pay today and have it start on Monday but he seemed like he didnt want so I walked out there he didnt shake my hand thats why he will not get my commission but bad business I can see why ppl go to vida better service and overall better machines.Glad I made him miss a sell becsuse he seemed like he wanted them.He also didnt want to go thru the options with me as well for example I asked about a personal trainer and no ASNWER was given bad horrible service, go to vida just be prepared to pay more money but you will get way better serviceLucky i dont really nees service but like asnwer s lolThen,he text me asking how he was and what I think? Lol I went to VIDA and coughed up the money just for better service!
I really like this place; only wish they would also offer childcare services.
I arrived and Danny was super helpful in setting me up a 24 hour day pass, rate is reasonable and the facilities were good and clean! Thanks =)
Great personal trainers. Lots of machines. Good classes.
I CONSIDER THIS GYM BY FAR THE BEST PLACE IVE EVERY WORKED OUT IN. STEVENS ZUMBA CLASS WAS SO EXCITING AND UPBEAT. THE ENTIRE STAFF IS SO HELPFUL AND WILLING TO WORK WITH YOU...NO MATTER HOW HELPLESS YOU ARE. LOL
Very friendly, accommodating staff and beautiful facilities. Has powerlifting areas for those looking to maintain their deadlift / squat / overhead press while IN DC on business.
Sias yoga class is worth every penny. Staff is very nice and helpful.
Wonderful very pleasant staff and fully stocked with latest exercise equipment.
I have been a member of Crunch Metro Center for over 1 yr. The staff is hospitable (there is always someone smiling and welcoming at the front desk) and ready to jump in and help at any time. The workout areas and lockerooms are always immaculate, the class instructors are motivating and each course is diverse, from the Pilates, Chisel and weightlifting, kickboxing, and ESPECIALLY the Zumba!!! If you’re looking for a workout haven that will break up the mundane routine of the treadmill walking or mindless weightlifting scene, try Crunch Metro Center!!!
Very friendly staff. Clean bathrooms. They have very good classes in the morning, afternoon and evening.
Friendly staff and amazing facility. Classes are fun and the membership is a great price.
Best gym in DC. Love the Staff!
Friendly staff, great equipment and amazing spa-like locker rooms with spa products.
Love this gym...great classes (especially love the spin studio)! The parking garage is not the best though and the front desk is just decent.
Very nice gym very neat and well put together the classes are amazing i love one of the zumba instructors steven great energy fun class
Gym is inexpensive and people are nice yet there are a couple of inconveniences I dislike.1. Womens digital lockers are almost all broken. Every time I go I have to test out each one to see which one has a working keypad let alone a functioning lock! Time consuming!2. The stretch room is very small and doesnt have a clock on the wall or wipes to clean the mats.3. The wooden floor in the main studio is in need of refinishing.4. The spin class while cool looking inside is much too crowded with bikes bunch up together.5. People dont curtesy wipe their mats and equipment after use.6. Some people dont re-rack their heavy weights.Positives:1. Great classes2. Clean gym3. Friendly staff and trainers4. Excellent shower facilities. This is actually the best attribute of the entire gym. Most people give it very high reviews as myself. Very clean and well stocked.5. Great location near Metro Center station.6. Adequate amount of cardio and weight training equipment for a small gym.In sum I would recommend this gym due to its low price and location even with some of the negatives I listed above.!
I like this gym but its pricey. I am willing to shell out the dough because I dont have many better options in DC but still had to knock it down one star
TERRIBLE customer service. Ive never had such a bad experience at a gym.
Everything youd expect from a mid-sized gym. Has very competitive rates for students.
Awesome aerial Pilates class and wide range of equipment
They have the best classes and personal trainers.
Good gym, some great classes, nice employees.
Awesome classes and instructors! Friendly staff and environment!
Well equipped and attended.
I love this gym...HANDS DOWN!!!

Always willing to help
Outta business in Williamsville
Worst gym ever
Poor experience.
Good value for money, a cheap gym, not overcrowded, with classes and services such as towels and other types of free toiletries. If I give it three stars, it is because the membership included two sessions with a personal trainer ... it was horrible. From the beginning the guy made several comments with which he implied that he was physically attracted to me, at least there were three such comments. I found them super unpleasant and made me feel very uncomfortable at all times. The personal trainer seemed very unprofessional to me, not only because of those comments but also because, and this already getting into the professional field, I told him that I had not done any type of exercise for three years, and that he did not push me to the limit, He did and I had muscle pain for a week without being able to walk without pain and having to take ibuprofen for all the pain I had. I have had muscle pain due to lack of exercise but this time it was unbearable, he should have known that I did not have to train so intensely because it is obvious that I am not in shape ... obviously the second free session that he had included with him was not I wanted to use it. Otherwise, the gym is fine, no frills, but it is clean and offers plenty of toiletries in the bathroom. The reception staff were very nice and the manager who was there then, about three years ago, an African American boy, was super nice and kind, and he canceled my membership without any problem when I changed jobs.
