Career team is a great support team for people who just need an extra push. I’ve been in and out of the program about 4 times and obtained my first good paying job after incarceration through this vendor. The incentives are a great perk! Ms. Hilary and Makeba are such amazing women. They’re very motivational and caring when it comes to compliance and just making sure personally you’re doing well. I’ll miss career team, as my 1 year on my job is almost here. Thanks for everything guys. Hopefully I will not be back! LOL ❤️
I love career team the employees are always easy to communicate with, nice, professional and ready to help. The location is always clean, They are 2 mins walk from the LEnfant plaza metro station which is very convenient. They always have good employment leads and information on programs. I think they are the best vendor I have had since being apart of a program.
Where to start? This program location has been the pivot of starting off my own career path, in a way I didnt realize I needed. I fell into this program simply because it was a requirement at the time to attend, in order to get a voucher for my daughters daycare provider. I had no idea of the level of HOPE that I was walking into. The CareerBootCamp program was the program within CareerTEAM, which helped you perfect your interview skills, resume skills, and your overall idea of what it means to pursue a career that you are actually passionate about. The boot camp curriculum was administered by a team of individuals who also happened to work for With Great Care LLC. Their entire approach was unlike any other approach I have ever experienced in a career training program. They were insightful, understanding, assertive, and simply hopeful in all their approaches with each participant. They believed in EVERYONE, even if they didnt believe in themselves. Unfortunately for Career Team, none of those employees work there anymore, and they have all moved on to pursue their own businesses. After being in the program for about 4 weeks, I was taking interviews and moving steadfast toward the things I wanted in my life. It was about 7 weeks into the boot camp training, and I landed a position. I eventually left that position because it didnt fit me.Today: I am a federal government employee and have been in my position for nearly 2 years now. I never saw myself as a federal government employee, so I shocked myself when I gained this position. A position that Career Team helped me lay the foundation to receive. Career Team has faults, JUST LIKE ANY FEDERALLY funded organization. But at the core of it all, you have some really DEDICATED individuals who are truly trying to help people return to a STABLE connected career path.
This place is so unprofessional. Point blank period. The most staff is very rude. I can count on one hand how much staff is worthy in that building. Only good thing is the boot camp and the free schools they offer but everything else is trash.
I wish I could give zero stars this is the WORST vendor..only the lady who give out checks is knowledgeable. They are sooo messy . These ppl still give out paper checks . They don’t contact u back they don’t tell u about training . They are jus horrible . And that’s a nice word to use .
Not for me, personally. Even so, you can tell they really care about you and want you to have a career instead of just a job. They teach skills a lot of people never learned. Its not the most professional but they are very new and trying. Theres a lot of progress being made. They dont sugarcoat reality as most will. If you need the skills, if you stick with their program, youll have a job in no time using the parachute method taught by this organization. A tool I know works well because I read the book in college and has helped me get jobs for the last ten years.
Unorganized and very unprofessional. They messed up my my whole process as far aa getting my daughter in daycare so i can start classes at Trinity. I currently am out the program because i address unfairness and unprofessionalism in there work place.
Great work done there.
