Worked with a highly engaged recruiter who was encouraging and helpful. Led to a great job. Lots of intelligent feedback throughout the process.I recommended the recruiter to a friend and would recommend to anyone.
I have had two temporary assignments through this organization and they’ve been great!
I read all the negative reviews but I think mine tops at all. Ryan, my recruiter, let me quit my job (gave my notice) then the Monday before I start, I emailed him for details. He advised me that I cannot start Monday anymore because they’re having some paperwork issue with HR at the company I should report to. I was astonished ! Very unprofessional. A week later they stopped following up. Could you imagine?
I had an awesome experience with Hire Strategy. Got the job after my first interview and I’m still in touch with my wonderful recruiter, Blair (even though I’m a permanent employee). She made the process easy, negotiated my compensation and listened to my questions and concerns. I would recommend this agency to anyone!
Hire Strategy isn’t a helpful agency for job placement! They will place you at the first place that makes them money. If that’s what you want, this is best place for you! I would not work with April, Sarah, or Kathleen in the DC office.
I should have read these reviews prior to my interview. I experienced the very same thing so many others have noted. I had a very quick (fifteen minute) interview that ended with the promise of being sent three job descriptions to review later that day. I circled back with her later that day and received no response. Circled back again a few days later and no response. I circled back a few days later (again) and (again) no response. Theres truly no excuse for simply ghosting interviewees, especially after promising next steps. Incredibly unprofessional.
Im really disappointed with the experience I had at HireStrategy. After applying for a job via LinkedIn, somebody called me right away to schedule an initial phone interview to get an idea what I was looking for. After the phone interview, they asked me to come into the office in Downtown DC. I went all the way downtown to chat with the person I had the phone conversation with, and she literally asked me the exact same questions in person that she did over the phone. Nothing different. Nothing new. It was right before Fourth of July weekend and she mentioned that she wanted to keep the conversation short because she was trying to get out of the office for the long weekend. My hour and twenty commute into the city was rushed for this reason. As she walked me to the door, she said she would eventually reach out. Needless to say, its been over four weeks and I havent heard a single thing from her. The week after the long Fourth of July weekend, I called another agency in the area. *THEY* have been amazing; calling me 3+ times a week, keeping in touch via email, etc.Long story short, avoid HireStrategy. I was really disappointed with my experience but can say that I have since been able to get some nice interviews through other agencies so check elsewhere for a good recruiting firm in the metro-DC area.
Spoke with Dan in January prior to my relocation back to DC from Florida. At the time he was very upbeat and positive about his chances of helping me find employment. Im back in DC, have tried to contact Dan twice and all I get is a message saying his voicemail box is full. The first time this happened I called back and left a message with the receptionist for him to call me back. It never happened, so wont be using HS anymore. Very unprofessional - at least have the courtesy to return a phone call!
My recruiter was Collin Dinges. He is great. I heard from him almost daily during the recruitment process and after finding my assignment he still checks in. Also Shelley has been wonderful to work with. They are very professional and care about their hires/contractors. I recommend them regularly.
I arrived at the interview and the people were having a USELESS meeting, full of nonsense, while I had to wait for 15 minutes. My recruiter assured me over the phone that she wants to help me transition OUT of customer service and start my legal career, however during the interview it proved otherwise. My recruiter told me that I need a recruiter or else I will NEVER find a job, and that jobs wont hire me. Talk about being harsh, and spreading false news. Basically my recruiter wants me to make what I make right now; annoying. Overall I do not recommend them!P.S. If it were an option, I’d even rate them ZERO stars!!
Ive worked with them for 3 years now. They found me awesome temp jobs- exactly what I was looking for.Today is my first day at my full-time, permanent, salaried position they found for me a week after I got back in touch. So impressed with their recruiters and thankful for them finding me this job!
At first they offered me a job that sounded perfect. But they never called back yet. Its already been 2 weeks, but I got a job at a place called Reliance Staffing in Virginia Beach instead that pays $3 more per hour. I recommend that place if you dont mind driving.
Sorry that everyone had such a rough experience, but i just want to give a special thank-you to Lindsey Gregor. She was great to work with and I do believe she put her best foot forward with helping me get hired. Shes very polite and professional, and i dont want to say that she seemed to actually care because I believe she does actually care about her work and her clients. Reading through some of these reviews ive noticed a correlation between negative reviews and horrible diction/grammar. You could be a part of the problem..IJS..Thanks
This agency is not equip to advise or provide staffing for other employers. I was provided with inaccurate information regarding resume content and length and placement with a prospective employer. I communicated with a recruiter what field I was interested in and her advise was off putting was not helpful or supportive of my goals. If you are seeking professional assistance in finding employment, I would not utilize their services.
Like many temp agencies, HireStrategy takes more of your wages than ideal and they dont provide healthcare benefits unless you temp longer than 3 months which is kind of scary. But they also can help you get your foot in the door somewhere where it would have been hard to do it alone. So, dont rule it out!
AWFUL. I was passed along between 4 different recruiters. After the last one, Taylor Gladstone, didnt get back to me for 2 months I emailed my original recruiter, Michael. He understood my frustration from the beginning of working with recruiters and not hearing back. Unfortunately, he couldnt help me because he did not do recruiting not in my field. So I emailed him this morning, wondering why I hadnt hear ANYTHING from Taylor in almost 2 months & SUDDENLY I get a call from Taylor not even 15 minutes after. They are just like every other recruiting firm. Leave you high and dry.
Waste of time ! So unprofessional, from the moment you walk in to how the receptionist talks to you, to how she dresses and how they lack communication between them. I waited 30min and the receiptionist didnt know that the person Im meeting is right there in the next office. After that I met with Sara who was too fake in her interactions. They sat a phone interview with a company that never happened. The dont follow up or care at all. I called i emailed no response nothing they just completely ignore you.. I would recommend BeaconHill staffing more.
Anne is an absolute nightmare to work with. Very hard to track down and rarely, if ever, returns contact. The only interview she ever arranged for me was one she never bothered to follow up on with me and give the address or interview time. Ive also had no luck with working with another recruiter as HS insists shes my best bet. Sincere disappointment.
Hire strategy was my 3rd recruiting agency I used in 6 months and I honestly couldnt have had a better expirence. I worked with Katie and she was ontop of her game from the first point of contact! She scheduled me to come in right away and explained this would be a quick process. My initial meeting with her was laid back and efficient - in her words she wanted to understand what I was excited about and did just that. Within a week she found me my dream position and made sure to stay ontop of both the employer and myself. On my first day of work Katie and her office manager met me in the lobby of my work building with coffees and walked me in - felt like the first day of school! I absolutley loved my expirence with them and adore these powerful women!
I get the usual call from this company every 3-6 months promising they have numerous job vacancies in my exact field. Most of the calls come from someone new at the company and never really expound on an exact job Im being considered for.The calls usually go like this:1. Hi, Are you looking for work?2. What is your current income? (Very weird from a stranger)3. Whats your salary requirement? (Very weird from a stranger)4. So when can we get you in for an interview? (For what job)5. Oh we have TONS of jobs in your field.(Sure)* I just called them back and asked to be removed from their system. Hopefully it works.
This place is the WORST exceeded only by their rudeness and lack of professionalism you will never find employment through them. Ask Lindsey Gregor or the business development manager from Reston who will tell you to go to another organization. Truly the worst people on the planet.
Not sure about the other two people, but Ive been through other staffing firms and I had a great experience with these guys. Their recruiters really come off as on-the-level. Theyre straightforward with a lot of the questions other firms tediously ask around, and they were all really nice. Wouldnt mind getting a contract or temp job with them.
Recommend to everyone that do not waste your time with this agency! Not professional at all.
This is one of the worst company have ever seen. This guy soulman bushera fights with people for un reason things. He said contract will be six months after flying to client location for an interview he told me it will 3 months such lier and idiot really. Stay away from this company
I went in for a interview cuz they told me they had so many jobs matching my resume and area of expertise, after my interview it has been 3 months and me constantly trying to track down my rep to confirm a job. They are so inconsistent and not worth your time or energy. Avoid if you are looking for an actual job with an actual time frame.
Please avoid this place. Teeming with a bunch of incompetent nincompoos. Blair Burdiek talked to me over the phone several times then had me drive all the way to their office in DC to chat about the same damn things that we talked over the phone. After the interview she assured that she would get back to me and till today has not. They are rude, unprofessional and plain dumb.
Cant believe I wasted my time going into DC just to deal with an agency that stopped communicating with me a week after I interviewed with them. How unprofessional.
Called me again this morning regarding a position which has nothing to do with my resume. No benefots, temp jobs. And when I said my schedule is tight and if she can just talk over the phone. She said no went and hung up. Very unprofessional and stay away from sales people.
I worked with some unprofessional lady name LINDSEY GREGOR, she is the worst recruiter on this damn planet. How are you still employed... Your metrics should be at a all-time low. Please bypass this women if she reaches out to you... I saved your life if you did, because you will not receive any call back or anything.
Someone here keeps saying shell call but never does. Frustrating
Worst agency to go to for employment. No returns phone calls.
Nice office and friendly people.
Lots of opportunities and very responsive. Provides positions in accordance to specified preference (location, industry).
This is not a right place to work with un professionals and very rude people.
The most unprofessional business to work for; Stay away from them!
