Consistently amazing work, professional atmosphere, flexible scheduling, and friendly staff π I used to have a paralyzing fear of dentists & dental work but honestly Beautiful Smiles is one of my favorite places to be. I always rec them to anyone needing dental work around DC, theyre the best!
Hi all. I had a solid experience with the doctor who took out my wisdom teeth, but this place will SCAM you for your money. I called my dental insurance company after I got my wisdom teeth out, and they said I was owed money by this place because a chunk was covered by insurance. They make you pay upfront, Iβve never been able to receive the money Iβm owed. They are very disorganized with money and really are a scam. I also got overcharged multiple times for permanent retainer replacements. Do not go here. Choose literally anywhere else.
I went for a checkup and the doctor was late. I waited 20 minutes for the appointment (which I dont mind if the job is done well). I came back home and found a small hole/dent in my tooth post cleaning. For teeth that are good condition I was not expecting this. My sister came the same day and her teeth were not cleaned properly (she was able to remove the stains herself), they added flouride without asking (it is not covered by insurance) and worst of all her retainer that she provided to the dentist to see if it looks fine on her teeth was bended. I appreciate Jonathan who works there on wanting to improve the service, but I will not be going there again.
Iβve also been a victim of their fraudulent billing and based on the reviews looks like I need to see what they actually billed my insurance. I am going to file a complaint against them with the government of DC and any dental membership boards, itβs insane that they can operate with this corruption unchecked. DO NOT COME HERE EVEN FOR A SIMPLE CLEANING, THEY ENGAGE IN INSURANCE AND BILLING FRAUD.
Was recommended by a friend to come to this practice and I was not disappointed at all! Wonderful staff and friendly doctors. I believe the Hygienists name is Shabnam -- she always does an EXCELLENT job on my cleanings!!! I wouldnt have it better anywhere else! 10/10 recommendation :)
This place is awful. Their treatment of me will haunt me for years to come. When I visited recently, I felt like cattle on an assembly line. There was no place for privacy. Too many people were constantly moving around me. I felt pressure to do things and pay for things I was not comfortable with. The doctor talked too fast, there were times I could barely understand what she was saying, then she was gone. Out of the nearly TWO HOURS or more that I was there and the people who βtook careβ of me for my visit, I talked to the REAL doctor for no longer than 5-10 minutes. Talk about a HORRIFIC bedside manner. And taking a look at some of these reviews, I should have checked here first before visiting. Glad I did not get any work done here.
The best dental office I have ever been to! I have been going here for two years now and every time I come in, I am never disappointed. Shabnam the hygienist is so gentle, nice and professional and Dr. Dubey is wonderful, knowable and very kind. Thank you everyone for the excellent service!
A lot of the staff is great. While the account manager is very rude. They gotten their money by price gouging. Beautiful smiles said that they cannot charge the same card (CareCredit) the very same merchant that Beautiful Smiles has partnered with, because I disputed the charges of a incomplete replacement crown last year. During my recent visit, Beautiful Smiles said that they cannot accept my CareCredit card because of the dispute, and that I had to pay all upfront before the procedure. Also, would not accept my insurance. Then turn around and said they can charge my CareCredit Card but at a higher rate if I didnβt have another payment method. If I used another method, I wouldnβt be charged with the hidden fees. Accepted a portion of my insurance the first visit. The second visit, one of my two crowns cracked and need a replacement. (Had temporary cement on both crowns) I started a new job by then and had insurance. Did not sign up with a provider until I arrived at Beautiful Smiles so that the account manager could assist me with choosing the right provider for their practice. The business then closed down a week after my visit due to Covid and charged my CareCredit Card without services being completed. (Had a temporary crown, thatβs made of plastic) Then the third visit, Beautiful Smiles denied my insurance stating that they used my insurance for the first procedure. Iβve had a total of 3 crowns for 2 teeth. Two separate procedures, by two different orthodontist at the same business. I Could not reach Beautiful Smiles to give my insurance info and retrieve the business tax ID number to file a claim because at the time they were closed (for months). So I disputed the charges until I was able to see them again because I have insurance. The merchant understood why I disputed the charges and reverse the charges. Beautiful Smiles never contacted me about the issue. Now understand Covid and the economy had crashed. Beautiful Smiles had then reopened some months later. Meanwhile, I schedule an appointment some months later after the business opened and after receiving a collections notice. I will say that I was a little upset receiving that notice. So I contacted Beautiful Smiles to schedule an appointment to settle the debt. The account manager very rude and nasty and demanded payment upfront as soon as I arrive. As if I want to duck and avoid the company and walk around with a plastic tooth in my mouth. But I felt like I was treated like a stereotype. The account manager was very upset that I disputed the charges on my CC and did not empathize nor understood why I disputed the charges. The secretary understood, but yet everyone looked at me as if I was the aggressor, and Iβve kept a calm and pleasant demeanor the entire visit. I was contacted once this year and then the business had to reschedule and never heard from them again until a collection notice arrived at my house. Meanwhile, since my last visit my service is still incomplete and Beautiful Smiles refused to complete the work on my mouth (1 crown) because of another new orthodontist and didnβt originally do the procedure, but was willing to install my 1 new crown with permanent cement while the previous crown done by Beautiful Smiles has temp cement. My previous 2 orthodontist within 2 years has left the practice. Then the manager acted surprised that I have insurance. Then recommend to schedule a appointment soon for a cleaning. The account manager is so fake as if she wanted me there anyways. The account manager has preconceived notions about me the first time Iβve stepped foot into that place. $6,500 for 3 crowns when I originally went there for an emergency wisdom tooth extraction. This is the one time that Iβm living in regret. Iβve shouldβve never allowed the account manager to persuade me into getting crowns or CareCredit in the first place. Or, I shouldβve at least gotten another opinion. This is highway robbery at its finest!
This place is the absolute worst!! They quoted over $6k worth of dental work that I absolutely did not need! Got a second opinion and the dentist said my teeth were fine and I just needed a deep cleaning. DO NOT GO HERE!! Canβt imagine what would have happened drilling and filling my teeth for no reason!! They never showed me an xray or anything to justify what they proposed. RUN!!
Let me just start off by saying Im glad I went with my gut feeling and not the office previous reviews! I had an Amazing experience at this office. The front desk staff was great! I appreciate the office COVID testing policies for the safety of myself and others. Dr. Dubey did and exceptional job. She and her assistant were very informative from the beginning to end. They explained what treatment I needed and broke down to me why.The office manager (I think her name is Abby) then went over numbers with me for what my treatment would cost. She was also very nice and informative. I truly appreciate the doctor and office staff for all their help!
I visited this place 1.5 years ago, and it still haunts me to this day. I needed emergency work done on a broken tooth, and had a crown put in as a result of a root canal. All was fine until just a few months later, when the crown shattered. I was back in the office to have it re-cast, but only after being scolded by their office administrator (not a doctor) for grinding my teeth and not purchasing a mouth guard. One argument later, I left with one and have worn it every night since.Six visits and five poorly-made crowns later, they finally cemented what they claimed was a decent crown created at a better lab, until just this week when it popped off while eating breakfast. This led me to visit a real, competent dentist who showed me some x-rays. I am no dentist, but this was a clearly mis-aligned crown. My only assumption is that they tried to rush me out the door after their repeated goof-ups rather than giving me a refund for this defective product and service. To top things off, the tooth underneath is clearly decayed which would indicate that the tooth was improperly cast and set the whole time.I would rather pay to have this process done all over again at a competent office rather than visit this place ever again. Changing the name from the original Soft Touch Dentists is little more than a weak attempt to duck their terrible reputation. Reader, I implore you -- avoid this place at all costs. If you are in pain and need to see someone quick on a weekend, just deal with it until a decent dentists office is open on Monday. Your wallet will thank you later.
They did a crown and filling and cap so poorly I had to go get it redone. There were gaps between their work and the teeth resulting in the development of pain. The mistakes were so obvious that when my family dentist showed me pictures of the work I couldnβt believe it. When the work was redone, all the crowns had to be drilled out because otherwise I would have immediately developed cavities in the gaps that soft touch dentists had left. DO NOT GET WORK DONE WITH SOFT TOUCH. When I explained that I had the work redone, they offered no recompense and were incredibly unkind and verbally cruel in their response. I am still having flashbacks to how terrible they treated me and how it felt to realize that Iβd have to get the work they did on multiple teeth re done. Any positive reviews of this dentist are baffling. Just wanted to add, the work that had to be done was itself very painful - at one point while trying to put on the crown, the dentist couldnβt figure it out - eventually the assistant pointed out it was backwards.Iβm still having nightmares about the way I was treated at this place - last night I dreamt the work they did litterally fell out of my mouth and I had to go and get it fixed - which was pretty much what actually happened. I hope this place shuts down and the dentists there stop practicing. Also this whole issue cost thousands of dollars.
Iβve been coming here ever since I moved to DC and I feel at home here. The office has recently changed names but fortunately my favorite hygienist is still there. Sheβs so kind and sheβs definitely the reason I keep coming back. Thank you Shabna!
Always have the most pleasant experience here, which is not something I expect from a dentist office! The hygienist I always see, Shabnam, is especially wonderful - highly recommended!
Before going to Beautiful Smiles, I hadnt been to the dentist in four years, so I was very nervous for my appointment (like, shaking and trying not to cry nervous). I told the dental hygienist about my dental history, sensitive teeth and gums, and my fear of the dentist and she was incredible. I didnt catch her name but I wish I had because she was through, gentle and very kind, assuaging my fears and taking good care of me.When it came time for Dr. Dubey to look at my teeth, she gave me the bad news (and confirmed my fears)- I had five cavities. Having never had a cavity in my life, I was overwhelmed but the Beautiful Smiles team was great. Johnathan patiently and kindly explained my insurance coverage and gave me good advice on how to save the most money while taking care of my teeth. In the end, I decided to get all five cavities taken care of that afternoon. It wasnt a pleasant procedure, but not nearly as bad as I had feared. Dr. Dubey was gentle and patient, and always made me feel safe-I felt like I was in good hands every step of the way. A few days later, when I was scared one of my fillings had come loose, she fit me in that afternoon to take a look at me (it was fine!).Overall, I had a great experience at Beautiful Smiles and would definitely recommend them. I noticed multiple negative reviews on google, and although I do not discount those reviewers, my experience couldnt have been farther from theirs. I felt valued and safe, and I definitely plan to go back.
I dipped for over 12 years, Iβm from the south and played some baseball. Anyways, when I got out on my own, I couldnβt really afford to miss work to go get my teeth cleaned, let alone afford it. I hadnβt gotten my teeth cleaned in over 2 1/2 years before I visited here. My hygienist, Shabnam, is the best one Iβve ever had. She is so kind and careful and makes me laugh! When you go, make sure to ask for her, because she is just the best.
Soft Touch has been and continues to be my family dentists/ortho for a few years now. The staff is extremely friendly. Especially Jonathan at the front desk. They have an extremely soft touch when they are cleaning your teeth. They are very accommodating and great communicators. Love that they have Saturday appointments. I highly recommend.
The dental service that I received has been excellent. I was advised by a second dentist office to pull a tooth and to insert an expensive implant. The dentists and oral surgeon at Soft Touch have managed to save the tooth and significant sums. While the surgery was complex, they managed to do all of the work without pain despite me having very sensitive teeth. Amazing! The support staff are well versed in insurance processes and the nurses are very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend the practice.
Trash dentist office & I wouldnβt go here ever again! This place is pretty shady. I came here to check my sore tooth looked at. They told me I had to have it pulled and I didnβt have other options. Cool no problem. The issue came to how they handled payment. I gave my insurance info and they didnβt call it in (although they said they did) and told me I had to pay $600 upfront. Fine okay. The day Iβm getting my tooth pulled, Iβm sitting in the chair mouth half way numb from the shots. They send some receptionist to ask me about payment. At first I thought it was an update then he kept pointing to the document showing the amount. My mind you, my face and mouth are currently getting numbing shots so Iβm a little out of it. I told him that the lady said my insurance would cover it.The lady comes back and tells me that I have to pay and insurance wonβt cover it. I say okay. She continues to stand there. Do you know this lady wanted my payment as Iβm getting my face numbed in preparation for my tooth extraction?! I was appalled and felt embarrassed. I couldnβt believe it. I handed her my card!To add further insult to injury, when it came time to leave, she quickly went over the at home care and told me I had to pay $25 for the mouth wash and gauze. Then when I got my bill, things werenβt adding up. It appears they were over billing my insurance company. When I asked for clarification, the receptionist (a man) kept pretty much yelling and saying βI donβt know what to tell you. This is the bill and you need to pay itβ and when I talked to the doctor she was stumbling all over and couldnβt explain herself. My insurance sent my a check for reimbursement. They never contacted them, so I guess hey figured my insurance wasnβt valid and It didnβt trust I had the money to pay.I will never go back to this place. I would have given then 1 star! But the two nurses that helped me were the nicest people ever!
Excellent care from the hygienists and the dentist, and Jonathan is a pleasure and really helps make the whole paying-for-dental-work part of the visits super easy by making sure patients are informed of their benefits and expenses and options before the work is done. I actually look forward to my visits here.
Love Soft Touch Dentist!! The staff and Doctorβs take very good care of me. It is always a pleasure visiting the office; The environment makes me feel like I am going for a spa appt. which is nice. Soft Touch has become more like family to me. Thank you for always making my experience an awesome one!!! You all are great!!!!!! Best Dental office ever!!!!!!!!!!!!
My son and I have been patients of Soft Touch Dentists for a few years and just like their name states, they have a soft touch! The front office staff is welcoming and everyone in the back office is knowledgeable and gentle yet thorough. The facility is state of the art and they tend to stay abreast of the latest dental trends. If youβre looking for great service paired with compassion, look no further.
I would highly recommend Soft Touch Dentists. They were able to save teeth other dentists recommended pulling and did so very very gently. They have a great team from the dentist, to the assistants, to the front office staff .
Good service, prompt, and didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need. All the staff were kind and helpful. However, they missed an email from me with my insurance information so they didnt check in advance that I was covered. Thankfully I was, but they could stand to be a little more organized.
I love the dentist here. She is always so nice and I have never had a procedure where I experienced pain with her. She is the best dentist I have ever had and I am now 47. Been going to her now for 3 years and I will stay a patient here for years to come.
If you like being treated like dirt, this will be a 5star experience for you. I made a reservation at 2pm on a Friday. Because I needed some dental work done. This was the first dentist listed under my insurance website. After the appointment was made on a Wednesday I decided to upload the appointment details to my google account for reminder and information for the appointment. While I was there I saw that yelp gave this place a 2star. I decided to give it a go anyways since google review gave it a 4 star.It seems they βcalled meβ and informed me that their dentist is running late and they need to push my appointment to 3pm.First of all. No calls in my call history or voicemail or text or email about this notification. They donβt have parking so this little trip cost me $15 in parking, taking time off to leave work early just so they can tell me. βWe called you to let you know the dentist is running late and weβll have to push your appointment back to 3β.With review for purchase now a days Iβm starting to decide not to use google review as this is not my first burn from google reviews.
They charged my insurance $1,100 for just a cleaning just because I had good insurance. When I looked at the itemized bill through my insurance company, they had charged nearly $200 under consultation which basically meant the actual dentist came and said hello, looked at my chart, and had a 45 second conversation right before I left. When I called them about the bill, their reply was, Dont worry about it. Whatever the insurance company wont pay, you wont get charged the balance. They literally tried to drain as much of my insurance as humanly possible. Do not go here!
Excellent, excellent, excellent. I had major dental work done by Soft Touch Dentist and returned to them a second time for major dental work. I found them to be compassionate, professional, efficient.
I have received very good service here. I am treated kindly and with understanding. I am very satisfied with my dental service. I would recommend Soft Touch on K to anyone with anx about dental work.
The hygienist was great everyone was very friendly and I thought it was going to be a great experience (the hygienist cleaned my teeth really well). However, the doctor tried to say I had a cavity which was surprising since I never had one and I go to the dentist regularly. She also stated that I needed a crown and if I did not act immediately then I would need a root canal. She also said I needed a deep cleaning and I should return every three months. Like I said I go to the dentist regularly, I brush twice a day, and floss so this was all very surprising. Needless to say her recommendations were all false. I went to a trusted dentist and he said that my teeth were perfectly fine. Soft Touch is an unethical practice!!!
They booked me immediately. The front desk was phenomenal thanks to Gladices professionalism and friendliness. The dentist was fine, thorough, and clear. The dental technician taught me a new trick for brushing with my electric toothbrush so I stopped brushing so hard, which was a simple trick that I havent heard for the last 15+ years. None of the multiple dental offices Ive visited (whove all commented on my hard brushing) have taught me a new and manageable behavior I can successfully implement.
I went to this office last year and I called them to verify my new dental insurance. They told me they did accept it but turns out they did not and it cost be $600. On top of that slight, I recently went to a new dentist where I told them even though I had the cavities filled I was still in pain. Turns out the dentist made the fillings all too large to my teeth and they told me the dental work was shotty.Long story short. Save your money and your teeth by going almost ANYWHERE else.
I enjoyed my time at Soft Touch Dentist. At first they had this small office which was difficult to enter and leave but I love their new design and building. I also liked the staff and the fact that they would call ahead of time to confirm appointments and remind you of that appointment. The dentists were nice to me and were very patient. :)
Broke my front teeth in a fall so went to get repairs at Soft Touch. Although the cost of it was frightening the service has been great. I have a temporary cap on while the real ones are being made and I am away for a few days so the wonderful staff there have me a just in case emergency repair kit seeing as I will not necessarily be near help. Exceptional client service in my book.
They changed the name (used to be Soft Touch Dentists). Indeed, look them up on Yelp, they have terrible reviews. I myself had nightmare experience with them, starting from having to deal with pushy manager/receptionist, ending with being sent to wrong locations by mistake and not being able to fit my crown for months (!). Dont recommend
I had a lovely time. The hygienist was very gentle and friendly. She explained what was happening during my cleaning and showed me pictures afterward of what she was talking about. The dentist was kind and clear as well. Welcoming environment, even the goody bag was great. Definitely recommend. Second visit went the same way.
Came in to get two wisdom teeth removed. They explained the procedure thoroughly and completed the procedure with ease. I really didnt feel the procedure besides a few light tugs to remove the teeth. I will return for a cleaning and referring family/friends.
Stay away! I found them on my insurance companys directory and they were convenient to my home and office, so it seemed like a good option. They were quick to take my appointment and insurance information for a regular cleaning and exam. Very easy process. Then two days ahead of the appointment they try and cancel on me. They claim to have gotten me in with another doctor, but Im not entirely sure I believe it as I showed up for my appointment and amazingly my insurance wasnt valid with them (even though listed on the insurance company site).
No complaints. Id say theyre as good as a dental experience can be. I like the appointments system. The location is great for me, staff is courteous and my dentist is very personable. Ive gotten all the services I needed, so major issues or causes for concern afterward. Overall atmosphere is great and so is the office.
I have been coming here for several years. In fall 2019, they went through a change in dentists. At first, I was hesitant about someone new, as I had really liked the previous doctor. My experience with the new doctor, however, was absolutely superb. Very gentle, very down to earth, very professional - an excellent dentist. I will continue to come back - I donβt agree with the negative reviews that Iβve read here. The professionalism is high. And this is from someone who is petrified of going the dentist! I would not keep coming back if it werenβt such an excellent team.
Ive been a patient for 4+ years. Ive never had a problem with dentists, but never felt a feeling of community and warmth like I do at Soft Touch. I look forward to seeing them for my appointments and always receive great care. Dr. Shenasi is wonderful, as are each hygienist and staff member Ive met there. A wonderful practice. I highly recommend.
Had another wonderful experience with my Soft Touch dentist and associates. Even though my dental plan doesnβt accept their worth, I do. Theyβre so appreciated.
Wow. Now I realized google review is biased. See Yelp review for βSoft Touch Dentistβ. It seems this practice changed name (perhaps because they needed to reset so many bad reviews they had received).I had a pretty horrible experience and this shouldnβt be repeated. Oversell unnecessary treatments, unclear billing, proceed treatments even without telling the patient (you only find them when you check the bill from your insurance company), rude receptionists who only care about money than patientsβ wellness. When I visited this practice for the first time for general checking, I was rushed into proceed to do 4 crowns (they said I needed 6!), 2 of them on that day because it was end Dec and they said Iβd miss insurance coverage for that year if I donβt do that on that day. I was new to the US and didnβt know dentists can be scam. I seriously regret I went there because not only the crowns costed me a fortune, but it caused infection and constantly costs so much that they now became my lifetime headache. Thanks to the 4 crowns that they installed, I now got terrible infection and needed root canal for two of them, one of which required replacement of the crown itself, and altogether constantly cost me thousands of dollars. I am pretty surprised that local authorities do not take any measures to remove this kind of horrible operation.
Ive been going to Soft Touch since 2013, since relocating to this area for my work. Everyone is helpful and friendly, and go out of their way to make sure I am comfortable and reassured - this means a lot to me since I have a severe dental phobia! The work is excellent and thorough, and Ive referred several people I work with. Thanks to you all for working so hard to provide such excellent dental and customer service!
Great place. I had my cleaning and exam done here again for the second time this year. Wow, what a staff. Wonderful people, and Dr. Shenasi is simply fantastic. She explained everything to me in detail and showed all my issues on my X-Rays and using the camera.. I definitely recommend this place.
Your office is beautiful! I am a germ freak and it was so clean and your equipment properly sanitized. I know I am over board but that is the # 1 thing I look for in a dentist. I am very happy with my last check up. I felt like I was well taken care of and the customer service was good.
As a person who has had a tremendous amount of dental work done since childhood, really do not like going to the dentist. I have had some horrific stories as well. I have absolutely loved every interaction and visit I have had with Soft Touch Dentists. It a whole experience from being welcomed when you come in to automatically speaking with the same person each time avoiding having to repeat yourself, to the beautiful office and providers who are obviously some of the top doctors in their fields.
I wish there were zero stars! One star is way too generous. The only thing they care is to use up all your insurance. In one visit for some deep cleaning, they have magically used up 5000 dollars. And they never ever sent the receipts even though I have called and asked a couple of times during the past week and while I was there. A clear NO GO! Staff are superficial and the manager is terrible. She should probably work in Wall Street, not inthe medical sector.
The dental hygienist did a great job and told me that I did not have any issues with my teeth, but when the dentist came in the room after, she looked for only 1-3 seconds in my mouth and told me I had a cavity and needed a crown on another tooth. I could not believe that she would be able to tell that I had a cavity from that quick of an examination. She did not even use a dental tool, mirror or pick to examine my mouth, and did not look at my x-rays. She also told me that if I did not immediately get the crown, that I would also need a root canal and I needed to come back every 90 days for a deep cleaning. I was told I was also close to having to need a skin graft for my gums because they were the gums were so far retracted.I chose to stop going to Soft Touch because it felt like they were diagnosing more problems than actually existed in my mouth. I decided to get a second opinion, and I am glad that I did. I went to a different dentist (who is rated #1 in Washington, D.C.) and was told I have zero cavities, my gums looked great, and that I did not need a crown but should have the filling replaced with a porcelain filling instead of the white plastic kind that I currently had as I was grinding it in my sleep. Had I chosen to get the crown instead of the filling replacement, it would have cost me $2000+ more. Very disappointing!
The dentist was so sweet & polite. The front the desk staff was nice & welcoming. Jonathan did a great job explaining the financial part. Iβll be recommending others here.
Wonderful experience. Friendly and very helpful staff. Very informative.
I love Soft Touch Dentists! The woman who cleans my teeth is so sweet, caring and informative. I feel very comfortable with her cleaning my teeth. I feel like if they recommend anything its for my best interest so why complain? Because of them, I put the health of my teeth as top priority.
Such a friendly and welcoming staff. Very non-judgmental and helpful. Would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a dentist in DC.
Just had my 6 month check up... as usual..went smooth. When my kiddos are old enough I will definitely feel comfortable bringing them here. You guys are great. :)
Pros: the dental hygienists - they do a very good job.Cons: the front desk and payment. The woman makes you feel like youβre buying a car, as if you have no other options other than an Anlay. I needed a filling, but she kept pressuring an Anlay. Not going back.
Ive had fillings (more than I care to recount) and a root canal here and they consistently provide excellent care and the staff are all extremely friendly and accommodating. Its a bit on the pricey side but you get what you pay for and nothing is cheap in DC especially not downtown.
Soft Touch is about as good as it gets. The staff-- both admin and medical-- are very friendly and accomodating. The premises are super-clean, sunny, and well-lit. They have movies on large screen TVs. They get you in-and-out on schedule and they smile!Dont get me wrong: Id rather NOT be at the dentists. But if you gotta go, there is the place!
The personel at Beautiful Smiles went out of their way to ensure that all went well.
Do not schedule with Soft Touch dentists if you have a busy schedule, or if you want to keep your appointment time. My appointments were cancelled twice in 24 hours. Original appointment for 6:30 pm on Tuesday November 22, 2016 was cancelled, at least with fair notice, because Doctor had an emergency. No problem, I understand sometimes this happens. I rescheduled for the first appointment the following morning, at 8am on Wednesday November 23. At 7:45 am, while on my way to the Soft Touch office, I received a call on my cell phone saying that my appointment had been cancelled because the hygienist had an emergency and was asked if I could come in later. Being that that was the second time my appointment had been cancelled for staff emergencies within 24 hours, I decided to take my business elsewhere. I hope their staff is OKAY but I would never recommend this office to anyone. Extremely frustrating, a major disappointment and a huge inconvenience. Soft Touch Dentists has very poor scheduling practices.
They still havent paid my money back for the crown that is not even complete .The manager that is not very polite and honest said the office is under new ownership but the manager is still the same and she said she will pay me back but she has not.
I called these guys to get my wife an appointment. The very first question i asked was do you accept delta dental insurance? They responded yes . I made an appointment for her and she went. When she arrived she had her teeth cleaned then we learned through our insurance provider that they do not do business with Soft Touch Dentists and we had to pay out of pocket. I read some of the reviews posted here and saw that they have a tendency to rip off clients and insurance companies. So this is your warning to everyone reading this... these guys are not honest.
This is the best dentist office I have been to in my life - hands down! The staff is kind, attentive, and very welcoming. Shabnam is without a doubt my favorite dental hygienist I have ever seen. Thank you!!
The most professional office I have ever been to. They waited for me on Saturday to get to their office and took care of my broken tooth! I highly recommend this office! Thank you
This was my first dentist appointment at Soft Touch Dentist. The wait was a tad long, but the service was good. The staff was friendly. This was my third consultation for a cosmetic procedure and every dentist has pretty much told me the same thing. I chose to move forward with Soft Touch because I liked the way the doctor framed her advice. She didnt try to scare me or tell me my mouth was ruined beyond repair like other dentist I have visited. She simply said, Health is a priority. You dont want a beautiful smile in the front and jacked teeth in the back.
My whole family of 5 has been seen in this practice for over 9 years. Us kids have gone through braces, semiannual cleanings, fillings and our parents have had major surgeries done. The atmosphere is calming and the personal touch that the doctors add really makes the difference. They make going to the dentist a lot less nervewrecking. I have recommended this place to many of my close friends and would continue to recommending it to anyone who is looking for great, and reasonably priced service.
Ive had two visits; the first for cleaning, x-rays and close-up photos, and the second to replace old fillings. The dental hygienists were very gentle and all the employees were pleasant. The fillings went quickly and the dentist made sure I was in no pain. It went about as smoothly as a visit to the dentist can be expected to go. They did give me a long list of treatments to be done, but amalgam fillings are not meant to last the 25 years Ive had mine. They offered a number of payment plans. The wait was not very long, and the office is attractive. I was referred by a coworker.
Awesome office and staff. Absolutely love my two new crowns, they look very natural. Dr Shenasi is very caring and understanding, I would definitely recommend this practice. It was worth my money and time because I totally impatient.
Guys, just dont do it! They are overpriced, and will suggest that you get work done that you do not need. Dr. Shenasi loves to suggest crowns, she loves to say that she is conservative with her treatments, and she likes to say that that your insurance will cover it all. All lies. If you absolutely need to come here, just stick to what you went in for, and kindly decline all the extra services. The two stars are for the friendly hygienists and the clean office.
Dont be fooled by the rebranding of this place -- its still the worst dentistry in town. Stay away and save yourself the headache, time and money.
Excellent reception, clean facilities, and very friendly staff. Procedure started on time, and went on smoothly. Highly recommend Soft Touch Dentists.
Great dentist office! Best customer service Ive ever experienced. Lovely office. Everyone was very nice and knowledgeable, including insurance issues. Highly recommend!
I wish I could give it a zero. Johnathan is the only person that may help you at the office but he takes orders from the rude office manager Abby that is nothing but a crook. even the dentists have to listen to her, I have no doubt she is the owner, I WILL NOT return to finish my treatment there because of her.
Donβt go there! They will tax you a lot!!! They put ONLY glue in my tooth and this very temporary solution (5 minutes visit) cost me and my insurance $700. THEY ARE NOT HONEST, THEY ARE RUDE AND WORK IS POORLY DONE! The positive reviews are fake!
Dr. Shenasi and her hygienist were both very nice and professional. I had a deep cleaning and didnt feel any discomfort. Definitely going back for more treatments and taking my kids for check up too.
I had not one but two of the best cleanings in my life by Ms. Shabnam! My teeth have never felt better. Thank you for everything!
I very much appreciate the continuing care I get from Soft Touch. Despite surgery, my sensitive gum problem has gotten worse. Consequently, the dental hygienist and periodontist suggested short-term and long-term treatment options. There was no pressure--just straight-forward descriptions of the procedures and up-front cost estimates, The first procedure involves have a cavity removed that is under my bridge. Although this will mean getting a new bridge, from what Ive been reading about cavities becoming infected, the surgery will be worth it since I already have sensitivity.Excellent service!
Ive never had a bad experience at Soft Touch. The staff at the front desk is very friendly and communicative. I dont think Ive ever had to wait longer than 10 minutes to be seen. Dr. Shenasi never made me feel guilty about my pre-Soft Touch flossing habits (Ive since made it a more consistent habit). Im happy to say Ill be returning to this place as long as Im in DC and as long as ST or my insurance doesnt change.
Great staff. Everyone is very accommodating and very nice. I love how they have weekend hours!
Sadly, I was charged for an examination when I received nothing of the kind. It was extraordinarily disappointing, the doctor was perfunctory and the reception staff robotic, treating patients in a factory-like fashion. When it became apparent that the doctor had not been able to conduct an examination or provide a solution that didnt involve shaving away good enamel, it would have been very easy for reception staff to innovate and offer the consultation for free if Id come back in for a hygienists appointment (at 115 dollars)! Other dentists on K street and Eye street (reviewed here) are significantly more customer friendly and the doctors more thoroughgoing, interested in their patients.
All the staff at Soft Touch Dentists are amazing! Very friendly, accommodating and really take the time to explain everything to you. By far the best dentists office I have ever gone to and have been a happy patient for over a week now :)
The staff is professional and friendly. Service is timely. Treatment rooms (and entire office area) are hygienic. Procedures are painless. My crown fit perfectly the first time with no extra work.
I wish I could describe my experience had I had one. I went in for what I thought would be a routine cleaning... but the dental hygeniest and the dentist on duty was more concerned about me having a deep cleaning which would involve more time. SO the bottom line is I didnt get what I came for, all I got is a lecture on what I should get, and was charged $135.00 just for some x-rays and a gum exam what a waste of my time and money!!. Never again, when I am ready for the deep cleaning it wont be with this office!
I hate going to the dentist... But these guys are the best Ive ever had! Very professional, considerate, and gentle. Would recommend.
My experience was overall pleasant up until the time I had to speak with practice manager ; Abby Mashalian. She was rude and unprofessional and thats putting it mildly. I will not be visiting that location for any services ever again.
They really have a soft touch. I am screamish when it comes to dental procedures, they make you comfortable and easy.
I have a Great experience the Staff are so nice ! The process was speedy and comfortable and I can wait for my next appt my teeth are so pretty I discovered I am 20 with zeros cavities and not major issues all I needed was to floss more and come for my 3 month cleansing . The Deep cleansing left my mouth feeling amazing I highly recommend this doctors office as well as if using website to call can confirm appts because the website sometimes confuses things but its not their fault . Theyre amazing and this is my first time to there office better than any office I experienced payments were explained and assured before treatment and if just was a great experience I could write a essay on it . Keep up the Great work Staff you all really deserved this review . Im all SMILES π€π
The staff at Soft Touch are cordial and professional. My visit went very well. Total trip for cleaning took less than an hour.
Great staff! This office will take care of all of your dental needs! Very professional, reasonable and they take their time with you!
They gave me a new smile I always wanted addy took care of the insurance issues Dr. shenasi is really professional highly recommend this office
Super easy experience. Everyone was very professional, knowledgable and able to convey important details about my appointment in a clear, concise manner.
Dr.Shenasi did a wonderful job! I was very delighted to have my crowns done here. I would definitely recommend them for crowns and implants.
Poor service, and incompetent staff. The dentist made me numb a year after my extraction and left me in pain and they overcharged me.They changed their name but its the same people.RUN AWAY and get a second opinion!
Soft Touch Dentists certainly live up to their name! I was petrified of going to the dentist and avoided it for decades until I couldnt any longer. I went in for a simple filler but ended up spending the better part of the day in the chair, paying for the years that Id neglected my teeth! The experience wasnt painful at all and I was pleasantly surprised. Dr. Shenazi was a miracle worker! If only I had known that dentists could be so gentle! The facilities too are neat and clean and the staff are friendly and helpful.
A dental office that presents a professional and friendly staff, including a vibrant and clean environment. This is the only dentist office I have ever enjoyed going to the dentist. They make it an enjoyable experience. Thanks again!
Great location for when you need to take care of some dental work during the day. Dr. Shenasi was amazing, and very understanding of my issues. The hygienist was great too.
Professional and compassionate care. Highly recommended. Id gone to another dentist near Farrugut Square that was always running late, and the dentist seemed in a rush. I always left wondering if mistakes were made. I had the opposite experience here. I think I found my new dentist.
Went in for a cleaning. Great service. Friendly staff. Dr. Shenasi was helpful and knowledgeable. Will continue to visit!
If you care about the quality of work being done on your teeth, in my experience, you can trust the dentists at Soft Touch. They are caring professionals. They might be on the expensive side, to be expected in Washington, D.C., but I feel their professionalism and skill make it worth it.
I had such an amazing experience here! They worked well with me and gave me many compliments on my teeth!
Excellent dentist! Everyone in the office was so nice, the dentist and hygienistβs were friendly and professional and they take great care of your teeth!
