My computer screen broke & I was looking for good computer repair company I came across On The Go PC Repair. I called them & asked how much would it cost to repair it & the turn around time. It was in my budget & he kept me informed the whole time they had my computer. They also brought it to my work to drop it off. I would recommended them to everyone I know & the people I work with. DONT TAKE THE RISK (Im out $200 so you dont have to be).Sooo Id hate to call this black owned business a scam... but I attempted to have my computer repaired back in October 2020. Not only were they unable to fix it (thats okay things happen) but they were unable to return my computer to me in a timely manner ( it took over two weeks). We are now in January and I havent receive my $200 refund nor are they answering the phone. This place is sketchy, and unfortunately I dont know what these people were doing with my personal information. Ive never felt violated in this way before, I will likely go to the police but I am trying to give them the benefit... Dont be like me take your repairs to ubreakifix, trust me.

Im so happy I found these guys. They really helped me out in a bind. My laptops screen broke and noone could find the part for me. After searching multiple companies these guys were able to find my screen, they ordered it and had my computer fixed in a couple days. They were very friendly every step of the way and kept me updated on the progress. Now im back to work and couldnt be happier

DONT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR VALUABLE ELECTRONICS!Been over three weeks and my pc still hasn’t been repaired, it’s super hard to get them on the phone now that I have paid them for the repairs. Wouldn’t recommend them over other repair stores who answer the phones and have good customer service.I could have easily gone to the store or ordered the parts they are still waiting on. Be one thing if the waiting list was long or they where slammed with work but waiting for weeks on parts with no answered phone calls or updates makes me not recommend this company.I would go with any of the other pc repair shops that understand how to answer a phone and give realistic time tables for fixing your gear. So far it has taken me days on the regular to get a call back. All the times for repairs, reasons for repairs, and everything they have told me fromDay one has been wrong. To include the fact they work over the weekends and could be reached on weekends. Again don’t trust this company!Update: it’s now been another week. They claim the motherboard they got in the mail is broken or they misdiagnosed it. I asked them to set up a time tomorrow for me to retrieve my pc and take it someplace else. They refused to set up a time to return my pc to me. I have never been with a local repair company that refused to return my gear once I asked for it back. I would highly recommend not using this company ever!UPDATE NUMBER TWO: After being promised I would be returned my pc parts and sometime in the future get a refund minus the service fee. I have yet to hear back or been able to get any employees on the phone, I’ve left messages every time and called multiply times today. I had some zip ties on my gpu that they claimed they took out and put into a different system to check it. Along with all my other parts that they clearly didn’t move at all. DONT TRUST THESE PEOPLE! I wasted a month of time, was super frustrating to even get my parts back, and I didn’t even learn one thing that was wrong with my pc. Don’t let these people help you! They will steal your gear do nothing then charge you to get it back while making a huge pain in your butt! I highly don’t recommend this SCAM!One last update. I’ve now been waiting on my refund for a month now. I called last week ans was told the return was expedited but haven’t seen it. Again please don’t trust these people qith any of your money. If I could give this company a 10 I would but only goes to 5. I would highly recommend them and the have great prices work with your budget too.

Change: I am changing my review to 4* based on their fair response.I expect to change to a 5* after using their service.I am new to DC and getting used to many vendors’ different service styles — but, recommend changing the website to be more clear.The left/right stack style on the website is confusing. Maybe being clear about weekend times would help clear up the confusion.Best.Ryan————-Attempted to go to their shop and they were not there contrary to their posted hours.Front desk said quite a few people show up and they are turned away because workers are not present.Maybe I will try another time.I recommend calling before you go and waste the peace of mind getting there and/or the parking fee.

First and foremost, Im a gamer. I had a home-built rig that was running close to 158F due to a heat sink issue and the fact that I was constantly overclocking it. Needless to say, my CPU fried (no surprise) and I called On The Go PC Repairs at 5:30 with the slim hope they could get me up and running in 24 hrs. A tech was out to my place in downtown DC in 20 minutes and the PC was picked up and taken back to the shop the same day.By noon the next day, theyd run a full diagnostic on the PC and confirmed that the CPU had fried. Utilizing their network of local stores, they offered to replace the CPU with a used duplicate or a new CPU (I went with used because it was a ton cheaper), replace the heat sink with a really good fan, and throw it all into a new case.While you naturally pay for all your parts, labor fees wise, they come in way below the competition.As far as customer service goes, they were responsive to all of my phone calls, checking to see how the repair was coming along, and, where one of the components they had quoted me for and purchased didnt work out with my rig, they bought an alternative at no cost to me. The PC is working great and Im completely satisfied.The only minor negative point I could bring up would be that the final delivery of the PC was delayed a day, notwithstanding an extra rush-order fee that I paid, due to the initial fan they purchased being oversized for the unit. But, as I mentioned above, they were willing to absorb the cost of the alternative fan because of their mistake and therefore we probably broke even.All said, On the Go PC Repairs an excellent company. I would realistically give it a 93/100 for its willingness to work with its customers, the exceptional knowledge base of its techs, and the willingness they have to go above and beyond to get your PC issues resolved.

These guys are brilliant! And quick -- they always show up at my door as soon as I need them. And reliable! And fair and reasonable and creative. But mostly brilliant. Man, did I need to find a really good IT team for my home business! When my computer goes down my business stops. Thank goodness I found these guys.

Good customer service, good repair work, and fast service. My laptop would not boot up. They diagnosed and replaced the motherboard for $150. Much better price than what Best Buy wanted. Also they picked up and dropped of the lap top. Were very accomodating in terms of scheduling. They are not as good with communicating and contacting you when your work is complete, so I just called them. Also they dont always answer the phone during business hours. But when they do they are very polite and helpful. Plus supporting a local, small, Black owned biz a plus.

Service was better then my expectations. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Definitely will do business again. I loved the fact that they were super convenient to pick up and drop off the laptop. It helped me finish my day worry free. The turn around time was less then 24 hours which was AWESOME!!!!!

My Mac fell apart in May. Apple said it would repair it for $400 with only 6 months of insurance. These guys gave me a quote of $200, even delivery and drop off. I paid the funds and gave a tip. They took a month to fix it- trying multiple things- but its has been working so well! I am very pleased with their result!

I recommend anyone in need of a PC repair service to not use this company. From a lost computer charger (that was eventually found by the company), my computer being returned 2 months late and the company ignoring my phone calls for nearly 2 months, this was the worst consumer experience I have ever had, which is impressive… Simply put, this company is not trustworthy and doesn’t care to communicate with their customers.Long story short, my computer was originally promised to be returned to me potentially in a 1 week but no longer than 2 weeks, in reality it took 2 months. Additionally, when I was concerned about where my computer was after the initial two-week time period had passed, I called their office number numerous times to get a status update on my computer, unfortunately the company ignored my phone calls for 3 weeks. When they called me back, they said I would have my computer in a couple of days. After another week, I called them to ask where my computer was, and was again ignored for another 2 weeks. I am still surprised by the lack of care for their customers but reading other reviews with similar concerns I know that I am not alone and this was not anything like an outlier.

I was disappointed by my experience. I brought my computer in for diagnosis and paid the 45 dollar fee. After disassembling and diagnosing, they offered to reinstall windows which I declined. The computer was returned to me missing 5 screws that hold various components in place. Everyone makes mistakes, what im most unhappy about is that I left two voicemails asking at a minimum for the screws back, which were both ignored. In the slight chance that the screws were missing to begin with it seems reasonable to expect them to mention this during the diagnosis.

I cannot say enough good things about On the Go. The service was excellent and affordable.They diagnosed my computer immediately, called me right away, and fixed the computer overnight. Everyone I spoke with was extremely nice, polite, and professional. They replaced the CPU, fixed a broken fan, and did a deep cleaning of the computer for $150 ($350 less than the price quoted to me by a competitor). Also, they delivered the computer right to my door, so this could not have been more convenient. Im SO glad I found On the Go & highly recommend them.

I wish there were an option for terrible or avoid at all costs. I went to On the Go PC Repairs based on the reviews on this website. My computer wouldnt boot up, so I handed it over to them. At the bottom of their service contract it says it typically takes 4 days to complete repairs. After a few days they told me that they needed to order a part. I expected that it would take a few days to get the part. Over the next week I called periodically to check on progress because they never called me. In the end it took 2 weeks to get the part. On the day that they finally got the part they refused to return my calls. Of course, the part did not fix the problem (this was not their fault), and they had to order another part. This time they expedited the shipment, but it still took another week. Again, they never called me to provide updates. In the end they had my computer for 3 weeks. If you want to see your computer back quickly or any kind of customer service this is not the place to go.

Great experience. I spilled water on my laptop and they managed to fix it in less than a week and to find the spare parts (even if my laptop is not currently sold on the american market). They kept me informed about their work and they were transparent in relation to the costs of the reparations.

Ive been calling these people about 3x a day and they havent picked up yet. They have my laptop and I just want to know the status. I paid them 3 days ago and havent gotten any updated yet.

Guys these negative reviews are legit. Its been 3 weeks since theyve had my laptop and Im consistently having to make my own follow up calls. Most times you either get an empty promise or a voicemail. You get what you pay for please believe it. Those few dollars saved are never worth the headache and time wasted.

Really difficult experience with him. He repeatedly refused to meet me after the repairs he said he would carry out were not completed correctly and my computer still didnt work. I dont mind if something takes time or it goes wrong and something else needs to be tried, but this guy refused to help after the first repairs didnt work and I had to shell out a ton of cash elsewhere to get it fixed properly. Would not recommend anyone use him.

They make it so easy to get repairs done. Stopped in before work, dropped it off and described the problem. Took less than 5 minutes. Got a call later that day with a full diagnostic report and quote. The hard drive was shot and had to be replaced. They were able to do this in just a day or so and worked to recover the data from the busted hard drive.Communicated everything to me through the entire process and was upfront with any information.

Both in person and on the phone this people have always been so helpful and through with advice and assistance. Highly recommend their service!!

This is the third time Ive used this service. Their free drop off and delivery service saves (for me) one of the more obnoxious chores to fixing a broken pc.I had a mother board break which meant the chassis fans stopped working. The computer shut down because of the heat. They told me how much the parts and labor would cost and were very willing to discuss other options. Having installed a mother board previously, I was more than happy for this service at the quoted price. Especially since it would be done correctly and quickly.I will continue to use this business for my future computer repair needs.

These guys provided the worst customer service experience I have ever had. Every time they say that they will have something done or call you by a certain point, they both do not have it done and you have to call them 15 times to talk to anyone. Aside from that, they failed to repair my computer, promised to refund the charges they made, and then failed to actually refund me. Truly awful.

I paid $550 to repair my laptop after dropping and cracking the screen. So yes it is very expensive. However they do keep you up to date with the status of your repairs so your not constantly pulling your hair out. I cannot speak for everyone but the one downside I had was the time of the repairs, it took about a month. Which is no fault of theirs. Especially when the my device model is not in production anymore. However they worked diligently to provide me with a good fix that I am happy with. with all things considered the time and effort that went into repairing my laptop far outweighed the cost of repair.

I called for a broken screen replacement and I got it fixed less than 24 hours. It was an amazing service and very timely. I strongly recommend their service as it very reliable.

All in all, I am happy with the service and overall knowledge, and despite what I think were just honest mistakes, I will absolutely use their services again should I need it.I had a custom desktop PC repaired here for a faulty motherboard. They picked it up and diagnosed it the same day I called them. They charged $75 for the replacement and $100 for labor, which is pretty fair since the $35 for the diagnostic went towards the repair, and said it would take a week. After a week they said that the part they had ordered was defective out of the box and needed another week to order a replacement and put it in. When I called them after that second week they dropped it off the next day since I had a scheduling conflict for the same day.Turns out they had accidentally left a much worse processor than my own, so I called them as soon as I discovered, around 7pm, and I left a message. When I called the next morning they had already heard the message and took complete ownership of the problem. They had someone come out in 2 hours to replace it with my processor, which took about 10 minutes.

I have been using On the Go PC for several years. I always get the results I want and need and my computer returns to running like new. My computer was last done over a year ago and it is still in top condition. I will continue to use this service for all of my PC needs.

When i took my old laptop another place they told me my mother board is completely fine but the hard disk is MISSING!!!!! I suspect that this guy stole it from me!!!! Terrible service, would not recommend. Dropped in my laptop one month ago after being told that it could be fixed for less than $100 in about 4-5 days. 28 days and $175 later my laptop still isnt fixed and I am being refused a refund. I have been told it will take at least another two weeks. A very dishonest, unprofessional business with horrible customer service.

I read some reviews circulating the internet claiming this business was a scam AFTER the technicians picked up my laptop to repair a keyboard, so I was nervous. But I didnt encounter any difficulties with this business and they completed the repair for a fair price (with included pickup and drop-off). Not sure what those other folks encountered, but I was satisfied with the service I received and the professionalism of all the staff I spoke with.

I can’t express how great pc on the go is. I needed a laptop fixed before Christmas they went over beyond of what I asked for them to do. I usually don’t leave any reviews but for this company I can’t express enough gratitude.

So I called On the Go PC repair over a weekend because my pc was experiencing the dreadful blue screen of death issue. I spoke w/ a friendly gentleman who assured me that if I gave his company the opportunity, they would be able to diagnose and resolve the problem. I told him Id already taken the computer to another pc repair shop in the past and they could not tell me why I was experiencing the BOD. On the Go PC Repair scheduled my computer for a pick up the next morning (a Sunday!!). The repairman was on time (and gave a courtesy call before arriving). The repairs were discussed with me and made quickly. The price was quite reasonable. I have my pc back w/o any issues or concerns and Im a happy camper! I would definitely recommend this company.

Had high expectation after reading the reviews but was left extremely disappointed. Was charged $200 and laptop was not fixed properly. Took it to another place and was only charged $50 and problem fixed permanently. Customer service was awful and was never able to speak to somebody in charge. I would avoid at all costs.

These guys were there when I needed them! Another place told me that my computer was beyond repair--- but On the Go told me otherwise, fixed it easily, and even delivered to my home.

It took so much time and effort to fix my laptop that I almost lost hope and was thinking to throw it in the garbage. They tried to fix it and almost every time some new problem showed up. Technicians were very patient. Price was actually less compared to the effort and time had to put on the machine. In the end, they fixed it and Im just happy about it.

No guarantee that they will fix it. Guaranteed that you will lose your money regardless.
