I discovered Watergate Cuts the old-fashioned way. Saw a young Black guy in the street with a super solid fade and asked him where he got the cut. Made my way there and Carlos was incredibly professional and made me feel like I was back in Harlem! Absolutely fantastic haircut and I will certainly be going back.

So glad I was recommended to this shop. Specifically, I was recommended to take my 2-year-old at the time (now 3) son to Carlos. He’s been a dream when it comes to cutting my sons hair. Carlos has always been very patient with him. He makes him feel comfortable by speaking him and explaining what he’s doing through the whole process. & then the cut itself is nice and clean! Cost is a little more than our local barbershops but I think it’s worth it. We live a good 45 minutes away and never mind the drive and always look forward to going to the shop. They’ve also recently renovated and it looks great!

Came into Watergate cuts to get a nice hair cut. The professional atmosphere in the middle of bustling DC shouldnt fool you. These guys know how to cut hair the RIGHT WAY and have an amazing vibe. If its a professional clean up hair cut for work, a mid skin fade for the weekend, or anything in-between theses guys get you looking right 100% of the time. My barber Carlos is the go to guy to be looking real clean, but all the barbers are master class. YOU CANNOT GO WRONG WITH THIS BARBER SHOP!

Excellent place to either get a detail or a quick trim. These guys know what theyre doing and theyve been doing it for years and years. I trust them with a straight razor on my throat. A little hard to find if its your first time going, you have to go all the way down the stairs and to the end of a kind of dark hallway.

Ive been coming to Watergate Barbers for almost 4 years now and the service is always top notch. They approach haircutting as an art and take an incredible amount of pride in their work and providing the perfect haircut. The quality and consistency are unmatched. Carlos, Hector, and Rodrigo are all incredible barbers and provide a friendly neighborhood yet professional feel in a newly renovated modern space. I’ve had haircuts from all of them and you can’t go wrong. That said, Carlos has been my go-to barber for a while. He’s professional, easy to contact (via phone or social media), and always provides great conversations during my haircuts. Above all, the guy gives an incredible haircut. I’m in my late 20s and am very particular about my haircut, and like to have it cleaned up every 3-4 weeks. Carlos remembers my haircut every time I’m there and executes it to perfection. He spends almost 20 mins just diligently focusing on the details of the mid skin fade and it looks awesome every time. The attention to detail is noticeable and you can tell he takes a lot of pride in the quality of his work. Unfortunately, I’m leaving DC in the near future and will have to find a new barber and hope I can find one I trust as much as Carlos. But for those looking for a new barber, this is your spot. Highly recommend all of them.

I’ve lived in DC for 4 years now and have been going to Carlos at Watergate Cuts for 3 of those years. Have not gotten a better haircut anywhere else and always send my friends to see Carlos whenever I’m asked where I go. You also can’t beat the price for the product, they could easily charge double the amount for the quality of the haircut but they don’t. The guys are great and chatting about soccer while getting a great haircut is always a plus. I’d give more than 5 stars if I could.The recent renovations also give the place a much better vibe than what the previous owner had set up. Feels much more welcoming.

Love. This. Place. I started coming here 13 years ago and once I got a haircut from Hector, I couldnt go anywhere else. The attention to detail is incredible and they take the time to make sure your hair is exactly how it should look. Plus the place looks amazing after the remodel. The staff are all friendly and remember their customers hair preferences. Prices are reasonable compared to what other places in DC charge. The place is cash-only but there is an ATM in the CVS right next door.

Met my barber Carlos recently through a mutual friend and I had seen pictures of his handy work (his IG is Carlosdcbarber) so I did not hesitate to reach out and make a visit to the shop. The shop was recently renovated, so much that you wouldn’t know the place had been around for years yet still had the aesthetic look and feel of a traditional barber shop .It was a good thing I set up an appointment because the place was pretty full with walk-ins but I was able to sit almost immediately due to scheduling ahead of time. Carlos recommended a cut I never received before and left me in awe of how good it turned out. Even with other customers in there, I did not feel rushed; he took his time to make sure he left me with the exact cut he described and it came out flawless. 10/10 for not just the cut but the dedication to customer service as well; I am a life long customer!*Shop also follows the covid guidelines as well*

It was my 2nd time. All Barbers are young and Professionals. $28 is very reasonably price for the cutting they do in Washington DC Area. They dont expect Tip as well but I usually give it to them under $5 which they very much appreciate. Not so much waiting time even you walk without Appointment. Nice collection of Magazines while you are waiting. 99% recommend this place.

Visiting the in laws and needed a hair and beard trim.Great service for a fair price in a low key atmosphere. I would defiantly recommend using them if youre in the area and need a cut.
