Haircut was good, $30 is a fair price for DC. Call in advance for an appointment. However, after I paid I was given a Jesus booklet to read. Proselytizing customers is totally unprofessional.

Kim and Suki consistently give the best haircut Ive ever received. I live in New York now, but I still only get my haircut at The Hair Shoppe. They are attentive, kind, and talented hair stylists. Im a baby about my hair, and I am able to relax throughout the entire experience here, knowing they will give me the exact cut I ask for every time.As a plus, they play great classical music and the price is incredibly reasonable for the quality.

Fantastic. I’ve been going to them for a year now and they are detailed, patient hairstylists who will make sure your hair looks exactly as you want it. Suki and Kim do an incredible job every time. Ive had experiences with barbers who leave you a little curious about how your hairs going to come out at the end. This is not the case with Suki and Kim. They are attentive and spend time on each haircut to make sure its perfect. I highly recommend not only for the haircuts but for the delightful conversation. Least enjoyable haircut of my life. Two sisters spent 45 minutes giving me a fire and brimstone sermon about Jesus Christ and then charged me $30. Everyone is entitled to their beliefs but I came for a haircut, not brainwashing.

Sisters Kim and Suki are the owners of this fine establishment and have been cutting hair since 78 so they certainly know how to give a fresh cut. They always provide excellent service and are extremely friendly. Even though I moved away from the area, I still make the drive to get my hair cut with them because they are THAT good.

They worked diligently on my hair to figure out what I wanted since I have longer hair but still need a more masculine cut. The result was fantastic; I look forward to going back.

Ive been going to the Hair Shop for over 2 years now. I started going because they were close to my office. Ive since moved to a different office, but I still make the trek to come here. As a woman with a very short haircut, Ive had trouble over the years getting a truly good, consistent cut. The Hair Shop has been my answer for that. The cut is always great and continues to look good as it grows out. Kim and Suki are fantastic. If youre up for conversation, theyre great conversationalists. If youd rather be silent, theyre cool with that too. I think the prices are definitely reasonable given their location and the quality of their cuts. I wont go anywhere else.

A couple of Korean women who have seen it all. Every time i go there i leave a happy person, they have that amazing East Asian perfection values and implement it on your hair. Everytime I show them a picture of a haircut and they perfect it. Great price to pay for the service you get.

I’ve visited Kim & Suki’s for over 10 years and have never received a bad cut. They truly do a great job of listening to what I want and making sure I walk out looking good. They just had a location change (still near Farragut North metro on K St) which is a nice upgrade over the old space. I hope it says something that I work in the Navy Yard and live in Takoma (so the Hair Shop is NOT convenient for me in the least) but I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else for a hair cut.

Kim & Suki are great. Do not listen to that strange negative review - their place is very clean, friendly, and they are quick. I can run in, ask about availability that day, come back for around 35 minutes during a break from work, and walk away with a great hair cut. They wash your hair and make sure you dont leave with a single strand out of place or stuck in your collar.

Ive been going to the Hair Shop since my office moved to the neighborhood about a year ago and have found them to consistently do a great job. They are extremely friendly, careful and diligent and clearly have developed a base of loyal customers. Moreover, they are always accommodating, even for last minute appointments. I have thick, straight, wirery hair, and she is the only person who has ever cut it well. Kim and Suki not only give excellent haircuts, they are sweet, honest, and friendly ladies.
