In 9 weeks my trash has been picked up twice on the correct day. It has not been picked up at all twice or two separate weeks. The other four days have varied. People have their trash out for days. Trash can be seen blowing around on the streets. Only twice have I had the line answered by a human and within the hour my trash was picked up. Mostly I leave messages that they do not acknowledge by returning a call to fix the issue. This week my trash is two days behind already. If it is not picked up this week, they will have missed me three pickup weeks out of nine. That is one third of the pickups have been missed.If they are having trouble hiring people to work, then maybe they need to pay workers a decent living wage for doing a very tough job.

They bought out Heartland Waste as our weekly trash removal company 7 to 8 weeks ago and have only picked up 3 times. We have called and called no return call. No return on email responses. Tried calling corporate office and was promised pickup but still no pick up. We have a mountain of trash stinking like crazy. Terrible. Never ever seen anything like this before. Trying to find someone else but no options found yet.

Update: Going on Three weeks now and still have not had my trash picked up.Someone actually answered their phone and was told it was suppose to be picked up Saturday. Of course it wasnt. No trash picked up from the city to my house. This isnt just them missing one stop. This is intentional.Old review: Finally spoke to someone at the local office who said it would be picked up on my regular scheduled day (after a whole week of no service). It did not. I asked why no one called me back after leaving messages. She said there is no answering machine, that they only have the recorded message saying itll be 24-48 hours late. I emailed the address thats been left for every one of the posts on this site and they havent answered it either.Received a form letter in the mail today saying how great of a company they are and they pride themselves in great service. I wish I could agree, but would give them zero stars if I could.Ive lived here 8 years and have always given the truck drivers Christmas cards and significant tips to show our appreciation for their effort week in and week out regardless of circumstances. That ends now.I wish I had something positive to say but I have two weeks of trash sitting at the road and Ive run out of containers to put it in.

We were heartland for years. Our trash was always picked up when it was supposed to. Since republic has taken over our trash is never picked up on Wednesdays. Several days later it is picked up. Spoke with someone last week that said this week it would be picked up on regular pick up day. Guess what trash is still sitting at the road, no pick up today. So I may start looking for new trash service.

It has been over 5 weeks. I have gotten 3 return calls and they have answered once. Still no trash service. Still told it is coming “tomorrow” and to keep it out there. I have had to pick up my trash from animals dragging it around the yard almost daily. Was told I could haul the trash to them (40min drive there for me) for free…. It is not free when I have been paying for them to pick it up already. Terrible service. They seem to either not care or not know what the trucks are doing.

4 weeks now as of Tuesday, no service pickup...4 phone calls, two that were answered with promises that were broken for following day pickup, 3 emails- no response - ever. Last email I attached my bill I just received....funny that was the only thing on time.

3 weeks of no trash pickup. Have been told 2 days in a row that it will be picked up later in the day.. never is. Somebody here lies. Now looking for another trash service....EDIT.... yeah, I HAVE reached out to your customer service...4 days in a row. Hence the review.... you keep telling me a truck is coming later in the day.... STILL NO TRUCK!!!!!

Unfortunately our trash service was purchased by this company and they immediately suspended recycling services trying to blame nationwide labor shortages (oddly our old company managed the service fine). No assurances that the service will ever appear again so straight out of the gate were paying the same for crappier company. Searching for other options.UPDATE: Just so everyone knows, their blanket email us about this issue response to everyone is their only version of customer service. They never respond.UPDATE #2: This company is mind-blowingly bad. After the initial post, they did the standard response of well look into this, please email us.After updating this google review, they did email me to say contact the local customer support team. WHERE DO YOU THINK I STARTED which led to me posting this review. It appears they DO have someone monitoring online reviews because they are public - so theyre on top of that. They just dont actually provide any sort of reasonable trash service. RUN AWAY from this company if you have any sort of option at all.

We have been well pleased with Heartland Waste over the years. The first week Republic took over, our trash was picked up 5 days late which was disappointing but potentially understandable. For the last two weeks we have had no trash pickup at all. To top that off, no one answers the phone or responds to messages left. Very disappointing.

This company is charging for a service they are not adequately providing. I’m literally hauling my trash to the dump because it’s been picked up once by their company in the last month. Honestly the city should fine this company with a massive littering fine. Trash is piling up all over the community. Besides apologizing on here they have done nothing too address the issue. How is the company making this right to its customers and the community?

What can I say that hasnt been said already. An automated answering machine that says 24-48hrs behind? Absolutely not, it has been 2 weeks since our trash pick up and no recycling?? So more like 3 weeks.. our neighborhood is starting to stink up... very irresponsible and lack of service 100%. We have been a customer of Heartland Waste for years and had terrific service. After Republic took over our area, it has been nothing but issues. We are currently on week 3 of no pick up for our commercial dumpster. I have made multiple phone calls to the local office. I have called the main office out of the city. Everyone has assured me the problem has been fixed and it OBVIOUSLY isnt. Saying this company is a pathetic disappointment is possibly the understatement of the century.

Wish there was a star for zero. Our trash has not been picked up in a month and we pay annually for weekly service. I have called 5 or 6 times and no one ever answers the phone so I have left my name, number and address each time and requested a return call...nothing! I understand they are having employee shortage issues, but dont expect to be skipped for 4 weeks!

This company apparently bought out a local company and hasn’t had the courtesy or good sense to communicate with their customers. They leave the recycling, (2 weeks now), and when you call nobody answers the phone. It would great to see some competition!

This company purchased my previous waste removal company. After four weeks, they have not picked up my trash. I have called and spoken with people. I have been told I would get a call from a manager. I have been told my trash would get picked up. Nothing! Zip! Nada! Total liars and frauds. I have contacted my bank and reported the service charge as fraudulent and am waiting to get a refund. HORRIBLE PEOPLE HERE!

We were Heartland Waste customers and very pleased with their service over 9 years. Without our knowledge Republic bought out Heartland. Two weeks after the deal closed we received a polite form letter explaining the sale and telling us there would be no changes in our service dates or delays in trash pickup. Then 3 weeks passed. No trash pickup, no answer to calls, no ability to send email. Our neighbors are all experiencing the same thing. To my knowledge there are no other weekly residential trash collection services in our area. There is also no recycling available so our trash is piling up. What are we supposed to do?

I have been paying for a weekly trash pickup, yet the company has picked up trash - at best - 2 weeks apart (not to mention a day or two off of the day of the week it was to be picked up). The customer service line is just an answering machine reminding you trash may be picked up a day late (which is tremendously incorrect), but full fees are still to be paid. I am not one to pay for a full service and then only receive less than half of it! I am sure others feel the same. I can understand that workers may be scarce and that new management may cause internal issues, but the service paid for is lacking. Why not do the noble thing and keep your clients and your business - charge for the service you offer?! At least half cost, until your service returns to normal. Inflated prices, lackluster performance, unkept promises, and avoidance in customer service are just detestable.If you read this review, Republic Services, please step up.

I have had my trash picked up once in the last 6 weeks. I have called and spoke with people several times. They tell me the standard answer... “it will be picked up on your scheduled day” but my scheduled day comes and goes with no service. They are certainly prompt about taking my money. How can a company seriously be this bad?

Going on over two weeks of no pickup. They don’t answer the phone and when they did manage to call me back they said a truck was in the area and promised pickup yesterday. We are drowning in trash over here and the service has already been paid for month in advance. Of course no other service in our area is available. Our house is currently being sold and we are trying to move so this is the absolute worst and most inconvenient time ever for this to happen to us. We are having to drag trash in and out of the shop in hopes it gets picked up but can’t leave it because of the animals that will get into it. Very very irritated customer.

I have received the same voice message regarding “minor” delays, due to the transition from Heartland to Republic, three times since 8/4/21. Despite the recording stating that they are working hard to ensure that our trash is picked up within 48 hours, they have not done so. Our entire neighborhood is nearing two weeks without trash pickup. Yet, other residents of Warrensburg are stating that their trash was picked up on time or only 1-2 days late. It is CLEAR that Republic is favoring in-town customers, as opposed to those that live just outside of city limits. Newsflash, the south end of town matters too. This company needs a complete management overhaul. Treat your drivers decently, hire throwers, stop penny pinching, and STOP making false promises. Get it together & provide the service you are being paid for.

Our whole town has not had our trash picked up for over a week. We are paying ridiculous prices for a service that isn’t occurring. They won’t answer phone calls or emails either. Do NOT use this company if you have another option!

Not only has the trash pickup been late every week, multiple people in the neighborhood have called and the trash is now 3 days late with no estimated pick up date. We have garbage all over the neighborhood and the only thing we can do is leave our garbage on the curb in hopes they show up to pick it up.

Well I have the same story as everyone else. They bought out Heartland and haven’t picked our trash up in two weeks. Took our money though. I’ve called several times and left messages… no reply. The one time a temp did answer the phone she clearly had no idea what was going on, and didn’t care. I called a different number today for Republicand was told they do not service my area. What?!How about instead of us emailing you, you check your machine and call each of us back?

Edit for Owners response: If you would of actually read my review you would noticed I have called the local folks multiple times with zero response. It appears Republics customer service is actually worse than their waste management. I didn’t think that was even possible but here we are.We were long time customers of Heartland Waste who were fantastic but recently bought out by Republic Service. We received a message our service would be delayed 24-48 hours which is understandable but it’s been 480 hours s if this post. We have made multiple calls to the local office to only find an automated message that routes are currently delayed 24-48 hours. We have left voicemails each time with our address but have yet to receive a call back.If there was another option in our area we would be changing providers ASAP. Hopefully Republic makes it right but I’m loosing hope by the day.

I understand the transition from Heartland Waste to Republic is probably not easy, but surely there’s a far more professional way to do it. My trash on the curb has still not gotten picked up this past week, and when I finally got ahold of someone on the phone (after leaving 3 voicemails) they assured me it would get picked up yesterday. No surprise when I woke up to my trash having been pillaged by wildlife. All of this while in the process of doing a move. Don’t make promises you can’t keep and give your customers more of a heads up than the week of. Horrible customer service and very unprofessional.

This is beyond horrible service to the new company not investing in how to make sure all the trash is picked up in a timely manner. It has been 3 weeks of trash still sitting here and I finally got ahold of a human and not voicemail but I still couldnt get a response of trash removal...like you still dont know😡! Horrible I understand the new company is trying to lay foundation but geez to be so unconcerned about the frustration of the customers is unacceptable and rude! I can only hope the freaking trash gets picked up tomorrow which is the 3rd Friday! I guess I should feel lucky because they picked up the trash only a day late. I wasnt clear whether or not they picked up recyclables because calling them only results in a recording and no ability to speak to a customer service representative. I left my recyclables out and then watched them just dump them in with the trash. I wish they would have just left the recyclables. I used Heartland Waste for well over a decade and rarely had problems. This company just doesnt seem to care. Unfortunately, we dont have much choice here.Im still looking for some place to take recyclables because there is no place to take them here in Warrensburg.

Would give 0 stars if that was an option. My garage has been picked up once in a month. The neighborhood looks awful, trash everywhere. Sad part is we really have no other option. We are at our wits end, when they start mailing bills we should all band together with a class action lawsuit. Shouldnt have to pay if services arent being provided.

This is about my weekly trash service pick up. I understand from reading on the Warrensburg and the Higginsville Facebook pages that Republic bought out Heartland. So when I heard they weren’t having a smooth transition I still put my trash out on Tuesday night for pickup on Wednesday. My trash wasn’t picked up until Thursday morning and that is not a problem. My problem is, when they picked up my trash they left 1 bag full of trash in the bottom of my trash container. I appreciate the fact they shut the lid but would really have liked it more if they would have taken all the trash that was in the container. I pay for all of my trash to be picked up not just part of it. So now the trash container is really going to stink by next week when they get around to picking up trash again. Please inform your throwers to get all the bags out of the trash containers.Thank YouMarilyn McCarrick.

Our normal trash day is Thursday. Our trash should have been picked up August 5th. It is now 6:00PM on August 10th and our trash is STILL at the curb. It’s to the point animals are getting in it and spreading it around our neighborhood.
