Perfect custotomer service from the minute I walked in. Josh was fantastic. Two days later I returned and JOsh could not help me because he was going to go to military training but he set me up with Karen who did the best job in the world. NO I was a bit disappointed with the offer, but I came back because of thier customer service.

Will never do business with this company again. Purchased an SUV from the almost 4 weeks ago. The oxygen sensor WAS out, they said oh not a problem we will order one and replace. So question number one, why wasnt this already fixed if Car Max does such a good job of inspecting the vehicles why didnt they already have this fixed, things happen I get it. So fast forward 3 weekly visits and numerous calls to see if the part is in and nothing. When the shop is unavailable the customer service employees cant even find where an oxygen sensor has been ordered. Having gone up to the dealership several times, the shop assures us that its covid related and the part just hasnt come in. I mean idk, but speaking to the Hyundai dealership and auto zone both place indicated no such issues. So tomorrow, since Car Max cant/wont honor there word, the vehicle is going to the dealership where they are going to be able to handle the issue. Hopefully I wont have any issues getting a tag because still havent gotten any of that paperwork, guess thats Covids fault too

I went to the CarMax in Warner Robins, Ga. About 3 months ago I went to get a car that I transferred and things didnt work out. The manager did all he could to help and even filled my Sisters car up with gas and refunded me the transfer fee, which Im sure he didnt have to do at all. This time the car came in 1 weeks time instead of the 21 days expected. I had already done and uploaded all the necessary documents and it was the evening before Thanksgiving Day so CarMax was closing earlier than normal. My sister and I had a 1.5 hr drive there, they closed at 7 and we left my town at 5:30. We arrived at 7 pm. I told the manager my situation and he let me proceed to get my vehicle. After about 30 minutes, I was in my new 2020 Honda Accord Sport. Although it was past closing time, the manager and sales associate stayed and helped me. The sales associate even washed the car up for me. Every associate in the building congratulated me and I was on my way. They exhibited some of the best customer service I have experienced in a very long time and I sincerely appreciate it.

I purchased a car from CarMax this past June, I found the vehicle I wanted and it was transferred from Florida, it to exactly the 7 days expected from Florida to my door in Georgia for me to get my car, Working with CarMax has been by far the best Experience I’ve had purchasing a vehicle, My vehicle was delivered to me, I didn’t have to step foot in a dealership and wait all day I did everything online and got the exact vehicle I wanted, not what a dealership thought I should have, I was able to pick who I wanted to finance my car loan after does research on the company that sent me offers not the company whom the car dealership chose for me.CarMax is definitely the way to go when purchasing a vehicle, I will definitely be buying my next vehicle from CarMax . The customer service at CarMax is worth 5 stars!!

Experience was great and painless, however the car that I brought was dirty and has some minor cosmetic issues. Also, the air freshener bomb that they used to remove the smoke smell didn’t work. If not for these issues I would have given 5 stars.

We found a truck we wanted online. We are in TN and it was going to take 2 weeks to have it shipped so we decided to drive and pick it up. We were on the road for almost 7 hours. Everyone was so friendly and helped us so much! I really appreciate how above and beyond they went to help us. The managers and staff were the friendliest I have seen at a car lot. Such a great experience.

BY far the WORST car buying experience I’ve ever had. Thank goodness for carvana because CARMAX SUCKS! And they are liars, they will give you something in writing and later change their story! I was told in writing I could get the car detailed with removal of glue stickers, etc, as soon as they found out how much the detailing shop charged they readily changed their mind, and so did I vehicle returns now run me my money back sorry sack of sales! Do NOT DO BUSINESS HERE! You will regret it BIG TIME!

I had a great experience. I love that it wasnt like other car lots and that the price you see is the price you pay, no haggling or hidden fees. Alex was amazing and walked me through each step of the process. He answered all my questions all while being patient and personable. I am sure that because of the business model it would have been a good experience regardless but Alex made it great! He was knowledgeable, friendly and personable. Highly recommend Alex and CarMax to everyone.

Let me start by saying that I have purchased many vehicles throughout my life and these guys had me in and out in just a few hours while trading in a vehicle and doing all the paperwork on another. In most, if not all my other experiences, I’ve spent the good portion of an entire day in a dealership when going through this process so I appreciated CarMax’s preparedness and promptness.I was very skeptical when I pointed out minor flaws in the vehicle I was interested in and the salesman (Joel) kept telling me they would take care of it and they would make it like new. Let me tell you… I was shocked that they actually did. I was nitpicking every single little mark on the vehicle which some were even very petty. CarMax stuck to their word and they took care of everything in a timely manner. The vehicle is pristine thanks to their hard word and dedication to customer satisfaction.Also, I have to give a big shout out to Mason and Will in the services department. These guys are working non stop out there doing amazing things. They always took the time to listen to any and all my concerns even when they had a million things going on. They showed me they cared about my concerns and they handled them promptly. It was very welcoming and I always felt like they always had time for me even if I was just making small talk about stuff which is important for customer relationship. There was a couple things CarMax was not going to be able to get to for me within the timeframe I needed them done and they very gladly sent me to Cadillac so I could get the service next day and they paid everything without issue. That is a real testament to their customer loyalty and I feel like that was made possible by Mason as well as their policies.I couldn’t be more happy with my purchase and CarMax. For the most part it was great. We just experience a few problems. I had to pay to ship the car I wanted from another location. I had to wait a few days before I was able to test drive due to my work schedule. When it was time to test drive the car was making a weird noise. We had to wait a few hours for it to get fixed. Afterward during the paperwork, I was told to file out the insurance information. I just wished I was told sooner because it took more than an hour for my insurance guy to get all this together. But besides that, it wasnt a bad experience. I liked that I wasnt pressured until anything. The staff were great!

This Carmax location was amazing. It was very clean and organized. I set an appointment and only waited 10 minutes before I was helped. I sold my car within 45 minutes and left with a check in hand. Of course having the title in hand saved a lot of time. The appraisal process was very quick and the representative, Jakori, was very knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you so much for this experience. Super frustrating and ended up having to return my car. The breaks were making noises and I took it in to get fixed TWICE while it was under warranty and it never did. People were super nice a helpful though, they just don’t inspect or check the quality of their cars before they buy them. Use car guru to find the best price near you- and buy used from a dealership if possible. Huge headache having to buy, take in a car for maintenance, and then end up returning it. Also, returning it was almost a nightmare because they sold the car with 3,000 more miles than was advertised or was put on the paperwork.TL;DR Car had undisclosed break issues and odometer was 3,000 miles more than advertised and reported on paperwork. Sales people were super pleasant to work with however

First of all, I went to the store and put in my order, i found out later that the order was not in fact put in until a week later. I recieved my car finally 24 days later instead of the promised 14 days. It took several phone calls to get it even after 14 days. When I took posession of the car, it had neither been cleaned or even vacuumed. My last call to the service department has still not been returned.I so wished that Carvana had had the car I wanted.

My experience with CarMax has been great so far! The purchasing process was as easy as ever! I seen a car I liked and had it shipped to the nearest carmax the shipping took like 4 days. I picked it up 2 days later & there was no hassle I signed paperwork and was out of CarMax in like 2 hours.. Longer than I expected, because I had requested curbside pickup... I had also got pre approved on the vehicle with CarMax which made it easier so I totally recommend that!

Completely deceptive bait and switch management. We did an online quote to sell our vehicle to Carmax. We were 100% accurate with the description of the vehicle including submitting previous accident histories, and we have ALL vehicle maintenance records and an up to date Carfax report. We were given a price online that they would give us for our vehicle, and my husband scheduled an appointment to bring it in to this location to sell it to them the next day. Upon arrival the employee took pictures of the vehicle to verify the condition, VIN, etc., sent them to someone online, and then came back and told my husband they would give us over $2,000 LESS than the quote we received from them online less than 24 hours prior. He provided her that quote to see, and he waited while she called someone to find out the reason for the massive discrepancy. All told he wasted over an hour of his time at this location after getting the online quote first and having a scheduled appointment for her to come back and tell him the reason they were offering less was because the vehicle had been in two accidents. When he told her those accidents were fully disclosed in the history when he entered the requested information for the quote the night before that was over $2,000 more, she told him that even though accident history is requested when you request an online quote, they dont actually factor it into the price youre quoted online. THEN WHAT EXACTLY IS THE POINT OF ASKING FOR THE INFORMATION IF YOURE NOT GOING TO PROVIDE AN ACCURATE QUOTE THAT ACCOUNTS FOR IT???? If the quote they gave us online were the same price that they offered us at the actual physical location, we never would have wasted our time and gas going there as we already had offers for higher than that amount from other local dealers. Dont trust their online quotes when trying to sell a car - once you get there youll get a bait and switch game!

Simple. The deal that was quoted to me was the deal I did not get. The rep did not factor in my car by back price. So when I drove 2hrs out to finalize the deal and pick up the car everything change and I was asked to get a Co-signer. I went online .. I was able to put information in as far as how much I wanted to put down and was a able to see my monthly payment. I was the prequalified too choose from large variety of cars.I was also able to view car reports for any recalls, damages to the car, how many owners had the car, and what was the usage for the car . I chose a 2018 Honda Civic sedan . I did have to pay to have the car transferred which was $100.00 . The car came in the following week. I received a text asking could I come view my car. With two hours a was driving away in my car❤️. Plus I forgot to mention this was my first time purchasing a car on my own .. Carmax made it super easy!!!

I purchased a car from their and it was raining, I called my sale person Ashlee Green,she apologized and said she didnt inspect the car because of the rain,but it had been on their lot... She told me no problem go to nearest carmax which is Jackson Ms. It has been almost 4 weeks and no one has been able to help me...I call every other day and they tell me the order for the paint problem will be faxed to Jackson so they can look at it and get it painted. Jackson tells me they dont have it,every other day. No one at any location will pick up the phone and communicate with each other. Im just being bounced around..I wouldnt purchase out of state anymore and oh still no tag information.

Solicited for an appointment to sell them my car, showed up at the appointment time they gave me and was told that I am checked in and will be called in a few minutes. Waited over 30 min before leaving. When they eventually called I was asked if I wanted to come back, when I said no, they just said okay bye. Great customer service. If you like being harassed by phone for months to come in, and then ignored when you show up in person, they cant be beat. Went down the road to Five Star and left with a check in less time than it took to get a rude call back from Carmax.

Like other comments I saw, I was given the run around SEVERAL times about my new car’s service, which was having leather seats put in and it was very obvious that I was not a concern to them. I dropped the car off the day of my original appointment, only to be told the “leather had not come in yet” and I could come back the following week. I am convinced they were unaware of my appointment to begin with because no one bothered to call and tell me not to come all the way there. Fast forward to my new appointment a week later and they tell me there isn’t a loaner vehicle available for me to use and to check back everyday. Again, my service was not a concern and no one called to inform me not to drive all the way there again. I had to be the one to check everyday. A loaner vehicle was finally available the following week (now TWO weeks after my original appointment date). I drop my car off, get the loaner, and was told it would be ready 2 days later on Wednesday. I call on Wednesday to get an update only to be told the leather still hadn’t come in which means my car is just sitting there. Plus, anytime I call and ask for a manager, my call is disconnected.

I want to Carmax on the day of paperwork finalized and everything and inspection of the vehicle I noticed that the back tire was gashed and scarred, I brought it to the attention of the manager, he told me to take it to Tires Plus, got to Tire Plus I was given the runaround about Carmax fixing the tire, so I return the car back to tack to Carmax, CarMax then replied pay for it at your own pocket we will reimburse your money. Shortly after that I got on the highway and that was a loud roar coming from the back so I will turn the car back to Carmax maybe a week or two later they told me to take it to the Honda dealership so that they could diagnose the problem And would pay for the repairs, As I got to the dealership, address the issues and who was making repair payment, they stated Carmax not paying for the repairs the way they should or honoring the warranty so there the problem Carmax gave me a run around on the repairs of the vehicle and they still have not been done with the new warranty time

Offered me $1,100 more for my old car than their competitor. Had to return to Carmax re: scratch on paint job, but they quickly made appt. to fix, which only took about 15 minutes. Currently waiting for their tech to keep appt. (coming to my house) to address tobacco smell. Overall, a good experience. I would definitely consider buying from Carmax again. After sale attention was superb. In store sales event (cash purchase) took about two and one-half hours.

I used the curbside pick up it was quick and fast they filled my tank up before leaving. I had a great experience, I love my car! They made the remote purchase simple and easy and found me a car that was perfect for me and my family of 6! It took only 4 days for my car to be delivered, my documents was able to be uploaded to avoid me leaving home. All I had to do when I arrived was pay my down payment, sign my paperwork, and I was ready to ride. Excellent customer service, fast purchase, fast experience! The process of buying a vehicle is relatively easy. The difficulty is having to sit there for hours waiting for the paperwork to get printed, the agent having to go ask questions what seemed to be every 10 mins. With no negotiations the process should be really quick. Instead we as the customers have to sit there for sometime up to 3 hours or more waiting on whatever is going on behind the counter. If the time we have to spend there was even cut in half the rating would be higher.

It was a horrible! A total mess. From the associate who is unprofessional, he dont know what he is doing.And aside from that, the call agents are not helping at all! They messed it up even more.Its unorganized, it seems like they dont give value to their costumer who made a business with them,which is very important supposed to be in a business.They set up the home delivery without our permission,right there is a big NO,NO.Plus the paperwork is all wrong,they put the information wrong,plus the day of the delivery, the car is already outside but one of the call center agent called to postponed the home delivery where the car is already outside, another thing need to fix them, communication between this sales rep. It was Nightmare! Somebody named Jonathan in the end help us and straightened it all and thank to him.

Brought a 2016 Chevy Trax January 9th 2021 about a week or two my vehicle was hesitant to drive, engine light came, car shaking very bad.Warner Robbins exchange the vehicle (with hesitation) now I’m in a 2017 Chevy Trax and the the brakes isn’t trusting. I drive 85 miles to and from work.. Purchase the car 02/15/2021 called days later about the brakes and I told them obviously the Trax isn’t a good vehicle. First off, love our vehicle we purchased!The only negative and I feel its a big one was my experience when I got to the store. I had already been pre-approved. Options were clear and laid out. Even had a representative reach out to me to walk through the process. On the day before my scheduled appointment someone from the store called me and let me know what I need to bring. He said I was pre-approved and everything.When arriving at the store, the sales person asked me for all that information again and I needed more documentation to get approved for credit. It was a headache. After stating I had been pre-approved and even showing him the approval and options on the app, he still said, Oh, well we need your info again. Didnt have it in our system. Wait really? Looks like its in the system on the app.Anyways, it was really really frustrating. Thought it was gonna be no hassle and turned out to be more than I was promised...

I bought a 2016 Dodge challenger, I had a couple of issues tried to get to taken care of but Ive been getting a lot of run a round on getting these issues taken care of . Not saying nothing bad cause we have bought to other cars with them and no issues.. just wish they would put these issues on top and not the back burner.

They fail to state the documents required to sell a vehicle. As a person who lives an hour and a half away, I wasted 2 trips not knowing what documentation I needed. I even called ahead of time to make sure I had everything I needed. I was told different things both trips.

The auto didnt have a owners manual with it so I couldnt see what accessories were available on the car. It was important to me to know what was / wasnt on the vehicle. Had I known what was not a available on the car I may have upgraded. The salesperson wasnt really informed about the car.

Staff was very nice. However, whoever does the inspections is worthless. I paid to have a truck shipped from TX, pics looked great, clean history, and no imperfections listed. Upon seeing the truck, was highly disappointed. The underneath was covered in sand like it had been part of the TX floods. Large scratches on hood and roof and chunks of paint taken from the grill. Windshield had a circular crack which I was told was repaired. (When I use a cheap repair kit, you cant even see there was ever a crack.) Interior was in rough condition, looked like someone had a dog that put its paws on the doorsill and destroyed the leather. Again, this was not identified in the pictures.In this environment, we rely on pics and accurate descriptions more than ever to make decisions. They brag about their inspections, so what are the inspectors and repair people doing? Finding problems and not fixing or disclosing them? Maybe they dont even exist and we are being fooled?
