Drop off service available, knowledgeable staff, very fast turn-around. Over the years the price has not seemed to change. In previous years they were able to handle my foreign and US income with relatively little difficulty. Expat Service is a bit meh, but in person and drop off are fantastic.

Mary was extremely helpful, got a nice retiurn. Very pleased with her service, was prompt and accurate, will definitely show next year. My only issue was with the cost of the return, it was expensive, actually too expensive. Maybe next time will be less, that would be helpful, significantly lower than it was this time, less than $249

Ricky does a great job with our taxes. He is easy to reach, helpful and knowledgable. The ability to drop off our taxes and complete them online saves us so much extra work with small kids at home!

This location “lost” all of my tax documentation including files with my address, social security number, place of employment, etc. They spent 2 weeks pushing my appointments before admitting to losing my documents the day before the tax deadline. They did not report the incident to management or the corporate office. Our documents have not been found and we are currently involving lawyers to receive some type of identity protection.

1) I went through three tax preparers. The first one ended up quitting as I started the process and no one realized I wasnt being serviced. The second one did alright, but never called to follow-up with me on basic aspects like if I paid rent or my health insurance coverage - therefore I almost lost out on those deductions. 2) The online login set-up and messaging was a mess. First, the messaging was the only way I could communicate with the tax preparer/the tax preparers office. Since my first tax preparer quit, the admin then took over messaging with me so I could never directly speak to my tax preparer unless he called me. I also couldnt see anything through the login. I filled my taxes LATE because I couldnt approve it online. Everyone acted like it was my fault, but every time I tried it redirected me to the login and my login did not have a way to view/approve my documents. There was so much that went wrong. I didnt even want to pay the fee, but I had to complete it.

I sent my daughter in to see Audrey to file taxes a few weeks ago, and there was a major miscommunication in regards to her checking account. Somehow her boss’s checking account number got put into the system and now cannot be undone. To make matters worse, when I confronted Audrey about the dilemma, she accused my daughter of lying, refused to take any responsibility, and was defensive and rude. I understand there was a miscommunication, but the demeanor and lack of customer service skills has left me speechless.! I am very let down and disappointed.

First and last time I do my taxes with H&r Block. This branch did my taxes and when I called because I hadnt received my returns Mary had the audacity to tell me they never did my taxes. They all basically told me theres nothing they can do for me but let me know to call IRS. Thanks a lot H&R Block of Waltham. Bunch of incompetents working here.

Spent > $500 for tax file. Because of the delayed submission of my appeal by my tax advisor in H&R block, I cannot get my tax back. Tried to contact the office manager, she complained about how much work she was on and asked me what she should do with my case??!!!! Then, I couldnt reach out to her and no more reply to my e-mails. First time I went for my appointment, I had to wait a little longer than anticipated. Other than that the agent I worked with as extremely helpful and pleasant to work with. In the end and she got me the best return possible for my situation. I would use her again and recommend her to others.

I have been returning to HR Block for over a decade to have my, and my parents, taxes done with Brian. I trust that he will always have our best interests and will maximize our ability to retain as much of our hard earned money as possible.

This one star is for 2015 and 17 as my experiences those years were were with knowledgeable competent- trained tax preparers. I went on Friday 2.2 in the afternoon and was met with nothing but a joke. The tax preparer did not have to file an education credit for year so he was “unfamiliar”- ok that’s fine but please ask someone for help- he would not. I sat for an hour and a half. I kindly asked to speak with someone who could answer some of my questions- no one was available without him even getting up because -not one person there according to him could answer the normal tax questions I had. He was uninterested and told me when I sat down I hope you’re not gonna get up and leave on me. I got up and left after an hour and a half of confusion because I caught him in a lie. Needless to say someone who prepares my taxes should be someone who does not possess the lie to your face trait. I left because I have never felt so not confident about something in my life- letting Eli prepare my taxes and coming out with a price that is five time more to prepare that the previous years combined. Bye bye hr block- for me at least. Fake advertising all over the front will never get me to walk in again no matter what is claimed to be “free”. “Free” is how I filed online- myself (confident about it as well)

Ms Catherine Lee is always going beyond what’s expected. My mother didn’t have some of her important documents such as 1099s and yet she resolved the issue by calling the companies to acquire them.

HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL, UNRESPONSIVE AND INCOMPETENT.I followed their television ad about half of last years tax preparation fees if I moved to HR Block from another provider, which I did. They told me that I should drop off as it saves time. I dropped off on 9th March. I was told that they reserved a 1 hour slot on 10th march to work on my stuff (even though I dont need to show up for that appointment).Its 20th MARCH AND NO ONE CALLS ME, NO EMAIL NOTHING. I CALLED THEM EVERY SINGLE DAY SINCE 12th March to see if they have an update. WORST.ON 20th, I get this phone call saying they can START working on my taxes and if I am aware of the fees. I said I signed up for their offer. They said offer expired 15th March and I wont be eligible. HOLY S&*T. THEY INTENTIONALLY DELAYED TO DENY ME THE OFFER????even otherwise, they seemed like a bunch of folks running a circus and have no clue about what they are doing. My biggest concern is not the offer being rejected on me but their unprofessionalism about NOT communicating any status till 10 days.finally, I asked them to give my documents back and I dont need their services. They said they will call when I can pick up.. NO CALL AGAIN!! I had to wait a day, just to get my stuff back and also explain all my story to every new reception every day, for 10 days. IMMENSELY PAINFUL.... DONT GO here
