Thanks for all the reviews on the contracts or contracts. I was going to join this gym but the most recent reviews are not encouraging to join! Looks like joining this gym is nothing but a hassle. Im looking for a new gym because my last gym (wac) was a hassle. Im not looking for another hassle Im looking to work out!! I think I will go to Planet Fitness, their reviews are much better!

The gym itself is passable, but if you go, DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING MORE THAN YOUR BASE MEMBERSHIP. Redwood is more than happy to try and extort what they can from you, regardless of whether they render services. To share my own experience, I had a trainer with them for three months of a twelve-month contact, and when that trainer switched locations, they then continued to bill me for three months without assigning a new trainer or even scheduling a consultation. Then, when I finally gave up on the service, they asked for a cancellation fee--but the best part is, theyve already withdrawn more from my account than their cancellation fee after theyve stopped providing the services theyre contracted to provide. Absolute scam of a business, and I can only hope they treat their trainers better than they treat their customers.

One of the finest gyms in Waltham. I go here three times a week and I really like this place.

Its a work out world. Nothing groundbreaking, but its a fine gym for the price. It really needs to go back to pre-covid hours though.

My friend wanted to try as a guest before signing up but the person who worked in front desk was extremely cold and unprofessional. He said no guests which we understood but the way he says it made us feel not welcomed and we quitted

If you want a gym where the janitor does a better job than the staff be my guest, this gym costumer services sucks, don’t even get me started on the trainer program or trying to cancel anything the staff cannot even deal with that problem.

This is the dumbest gym I have ever seen my life, I don’t recommend no one to get there, please and please don’t deal with this gym at all, when I signed my contract it was all easy and these guys never told me about auto renew, when it was time to cancel they all turned up against me and told me to call ABC financial, When I called them they said it’s over after two months charge for late notice ….. Guess what after two months they kept on billing me until I changed my bank card then all of the sudden they just sent me to correction that I owe $245 . These are smartest thieves I have ever seen, guys I was so embarrassed and I had to pay it off or lose my credit, their only good when your signing the contract but when your cancelling they recommend you to other people, until your bill gets widePlease stay away from these thieves

I canceled my membership with them last year and just noticed that they randomly started charging me again. The last time I went there in person, they told me that my membership was canceled, but now they are saying that there is nothing in writing. Terrible communication. They did not make it clear that I had to do cancellation in a written form and the lady at the front desk said it was all set. They are also saying that my account was placed on freeze until April because I apparently asked for that, when I did not.

This place is more of a credit card fraud operation than a working gym!I have no idea what their quality of service is. I have never been to this gym, nor have had any sort of relationship with them. But they seem to have gotten my credit card number from Boston Sports Club in Waltham, and have started billing.

Beware of Contract! They will Bill you for 45 days after cancelationThat is for 1-2 months extra plus yearly maintenance fee of $50 if it falls within the 45 days.

Absolute terrible communication if you have any issues regarding payments & billing. Apparently they kept on charging my expired card during the covid pandemic and sent me to their debt collection agency because the amount wasnt paid. They have ABC who processes their finances and another company to process more finances. All 3 companies and 12 calls later, Im still unsure if Im getting my money back. Terrible system & they all lack information from each other, could not be more uncooperative as an organization if they tried

The management at this facility is a disgrace, particularly the so-called manager situated in the front office. Highly unprofessional and could care less about their members. Also to note, though the personal training program is not directly affiliated with the gym, do NOT opt for this service. It is a scam and nearly impossible to opt out of (took weeks and numerous physician notes). BBB should investigate.

During covid they started charging my card again without contacting me at all. I asked how to cancel it and I was sent to a fake website and run in circles for two and a half months (during which they charged me for my membership that they refused to let me cancel). It was finally “resolved” by charging me a cancellation fee. Talk about being insensitive and opportunistic during a pandemic. I have SEVERAL friends who have had the same situation or worse- just sent to collections without contacting them. Taline was the manager who I was in contact with. She was very rude and short while providing me with little to no answers.

After gyms reopened (covid) they started charging peoples accounts again. So I put mine on a freeze. They still charged my CC and refused to refund it. This has happened to 3 other people I know. When I spoke to the manager, she did not care, and told me I had to pay it, and if I disputed the charges I would be put in collections. Very shady business practices.

WOW! Waltham is a terrific value. For ~$15/month (basic membership plus $50 annual fee amortized over 12 months), members gain access to every exercise imaginable with multiple stations for many resistance exercises and a very large & diverse aerobic section. I never have to wait for a station or machine. Women appreciate the females-only area. Equipment is spread out within the large space so it isn’t crowded. The large group classroom is impressive. Staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is ample. Going to this gym for many years has lead to lasting friendships.I strongly recommend WOW! Waltham.

I have been visiting this place for sometime now, with the intention of signing up as member. But there’s lack of safety and COVID-19 exposure procedures. I have seen every time I’m there 5-6 people wearing their masks on their necks while they using the machines and exercising. When walking around talking using their headphones with masks on theirs chins. It’s very concerning if makes me wondering about any COVID- exposure we might have encounter. The Facility Manager is never around - I’m afraid the place will be closing soon due severe Covid exposure.

Completed the requirement and signup for a free day pass at the Waltham location. Was sent an email confirming my day pass and left to work out. After driving 30 minutes I arrive to the location to workout and am promptly denied entry. They told me that due to COVID, they were not accepting day pass guests. Why allow me to complete the registration and then send me an email confirming it if your policy is not allowing them. Extremely unprofessional and poor communication from the company throughout. My buddy with a silver membership was also denied working out the same day due to him not coming in a certain time period that wasn’t communicated to him clearly. Do not support this gym as there are plenty of other places to get a good workout in with better service and professionalism.

I’ve been a member of various gyms over the years in the area but I can assure you nothing beats the price, hours, and space of this facility! The classes are phenomenal, the gym is spacious and the staff is wonderful! I promise you, you won’t find a better gym for the extremely affordable price they offer here. I highly recommend this gym to everyone! The best of the best!!!!

Taking my son their has been a wonderful experience, from what hes told me. He comes home with a smile every time. All the wonderful staff make that possible. He always wants to go back. As my son said, Dad i like that you work out, because I always have an amazing fun time with them, I wish you can work out all day. So I can go all day. keep up the great work!

I started out as a guest on a friends pass just to check it out. I ended up really liking WOW in Waltham so I eventually purchased my own membership. When I told my fiance she got one as well. WOW is just what we need, good reliable machines, plenty of weights and a nice big stretching area. The staff is super friendly and they great you at the door every time. I would recommend WOW in Waltham to anyone looking for a good place to work out! No frills no gimmicks just a good gym.

Ive been a member of this WOW! for two years. The place is great. Has every piece of equipment I need. And Emily at the front desk is the absolute best. Shes a phenomenally helpful and courteous to the members. Give her a promotion - and a raise!!!

I recently moved to Waltham and have been looking for a new gym. I checked out all the local clubs and all the ones in this price range were terrible with the exception of this Work Out World. Ive been to a few other Work Out Worlds in the past and havent been happy, but this is by far the best gym Ive been to. Its a great gym, at a great price, and the facility is clean, and staff is super helpful and friendly.

WOW is such an amazing place and gives great service, especially the babysitting service. The babysitters work really well with the kids to make sure their visit is safe and fun! I highly recommend WOW for adults and their children.

Spacious with many machines and a nice womens area that I use primarily. Classes are fun, and the instructors are passionate about what they do.

The Hispanic gentleman at the front desk at this location is very rude. He made me feel unwelcome and he was rude to the girl working with him at the front desk who tried to find a solution for me.

I was just in about a week ago and Anthony was beyond helpful. Although I was a bit challenging to deal with he kept cool calm and collective and was just the greatest person to work with. He does his job with a smile and honor and you are very lucky to have someone like him working with you.

Great classes and a large selection of machines at this WOW! My favorite part is the excellent childcare for my daughter. She’s been coming here since she was 1 and I’ve always felt confident that she’s having a great time and being closely looked after by the childcare staff. You can leave your child for a max of two hours while you go to a class or work out. Everyone is extremely friendly and they know my daughter by name. Most of the time she doesn’t want to leave when I pick her up. If she has ever cried and they couldn’t console her right away (just the first few times I brought her) they immediately found me so I could tend to her needs.

You can’t beat the price. Equipment is clean, cardio machines are always working. If your looking for a fancy gym this is not for you. New trainer Heather is super nice, friendly and constantly walks the floor talking and giving advice to everyone. If you have any question look for the JACKED female trainer!!!

I highly recommend this gym. Its very spacious and never feels crowded. Its clean and the staff is very personable. Im always greeted when I come in and the manager is always nice. No complaints!

WOW in Waltham is a great place to come work out. It’s clean and welcoming. There’s a lot of different type of work out machines to use. And for the ladies. There’s a good size place for them to work out in a peaceful setting. Haha. I’m glad there’s friendly people who work here too. That’s a plus!

Absolutely nice for $10 a month! We do take private boxing lessons somewhere else, but also use this one for general workout. You can not beat their price of $10 a month.Staff is nice and attentive.You can not wish more for what you paid for it!

Just walked in and wanted to join. The young man at the desk was not very receptive. Did not offer much information. It was like pulling teeth to get him to respond appropriately in a welcoming manner. I was told very bluntly that I could not get a tour today and if I wanted to have a free trial day I would have to do this on line, he didnt seem to know why. I am in the customer service field and I felt that I was not treated in a friendly welcoming manner. Then he just let me walk out the door without even trying to see if he could accommodate me in any way. I wonder how many potential customers you lose in a week? I will be sure to pass this on to anyone who will listen. I posted one star because I needed to to post this.

Ive been a member at this gym for more than 3 years. The gym is affordable and overall clean in comparison. The shower stalls are out of whack right now. The mens locker room has been smelly, not sure if any odor sprays or disinfectants can be applied off hours. One irritating staff works mostly weekends, always on the phone, and today on Nov. 24th really shows some attitudes. He hated when clients asked questions because apparently which interrupted his online-video-watching-time. But, its been years for working out here. Have to consider to cancel the membership.

Ive been a member for 6 years and its a great gym. Better than my other gym I go to and spend almost 85 bucks a month. The manager Taline is wonderful and she makes sure everyone is happy at the gym.

The daycare is the BEST!!! They watch your little one for up to two hours. My baby girl has been going for over a year now, she is a year and a half and we generally stay for an hour. She has SO much fun and always gets excited when I say we are going to the gym. I wish I started bringing her when she was an infant! There are tons of toys, books and always a show on. The staff is extra friendly. My baby girl is very shy but she has totally opened up to them and even gives hugs and blows kisses.

Literally one of the best gyms I have ever been to! I literally do not understand anyone who says otherwise. Between the reasonable price point, and all they offer like: group training, tanning, and a hugeeeee weight lifting area.

Complete joke ! Staff is extremely rude and not knowledgeable of their own promotions. They humiliate you in front of other members. Gym makes false promotional advertisement on face book to attack more memo, don’t fell for it its waste your time.Over all very dirty and half of the machine s TV doesn’t even work.

I’ve been coming to this gym for a while now. I like it a lot better than my last gym. There’s a ton of equipment but there’s a lot of free space too! It’s also very clean and I always see staff cleaning and walking around making sure weights are picked up.

Love coming to this gym especially for the fact that they have babysitters to watch over your little one when you want to get a good work out in. They are literally friendly & amazing with the kids. My baby loves coming here!

Work Out World is the BEST VALUE in New England - I CHECKED!Id been a member at another location in grad school, but when I moved to Waltham, I decided to see what else was in the neighborhood - NOTHING came close to the equipment selection for the price. I went right in to Waltham to get my Platinum membership back :)

I told u I got an accident and u tel me u cant cancel my membership after spending 2 years no attendance.And called u for about a 20 minute.And the best u can tel me u cant help on phone .It doesnt seem fair to me

Good gym, great hours. Do not expect anything beyond what $10 a month will give you, but this branch offers a lot of good stuff compared to other gyms:- A rowing machine with a working progress monitor.- Good stair machines.- Dedicated classroom and weightlifting space.A lot of people come to this gym around 3:00 - 8:00 PM. Attendance is high, but come before or after then to get some access to most of the cardio machines.

A great ace to work out with all the essentials. Also free tanning. Equiptment is clean and locker room. Is clean. Staff could use some social skills training and try to be somewhat enthusiastic though. Otherwise great place. Go here 6 days a week to train!

!!FINANCIAL SCAM. BEWARE!!You cant simply cancel your membership. The No Commitment offer is a SCAM. Although you will call the main office and send them the letter they ask you to, you will get a call from a collections agency a few months later harassing you for money and they will attempt to damage your credit.I did some research, and it turns out the owner of the gym also own the collection agency. Your average little-man turned greedy capitalist to exact revenge on the world. Turns out that Work Out World is a world built by him to work out his issues in a very unhealthy way.On the other hand, this gym is a dump. No one cleans after themselves here. I caught 3 different viruses on three separate visits after working out.Conclusion, owners and their collection agency are dirty-filthy CROOKS; aka SCUM.If you respect yourself, dont work out here.

The womens area is not cleaned well (especially the treadmills). When I asked about getting one womens training bar I was ignored (via email), on more than one occasion the front check in area has smelled strongly of pot, and the grips are falling off of the pull up handles. I will keep my membership as I primarily use it for a treadmill space. It is probably one of the best gyms for the price in the area, but could improve.

I have been a member of multiple gyms throughout Massachusetts due to moving around and this is by far the WORST gym I have ever encountered. The management does not keep the gym tidy, the staff sit around on their phones all day, and management/corporate are incredibly unprofessional and rude when THEY make huge financial mistakes.I canceled my auto-renew personal training contract after three months because it was initially a 3-month package, told the trainer from the very beginning to have it canceled after the third month. Made it very clear I loved the trainer but wanted to catch up on all my sessions. Not only was I charged $500 twice, but was charged two overdraft fees in this account totalling $1100! The Director of PT handled this with the most disrespectful and rude comments through email. Made it sound like he had to do so much work to fix the issue, blamed his trainers for the mistake, didnt address anything I detailed out for him in the emails I sent over, and ultimately ignored the issue by asking why I didnt want to continue with his trainer... which is not even the case.The level of incompetence and terrible customer service is disgusting. I have shown all my friends family and coworkers who go to WOW the emails and told them my experience and no all of them are going to cancel their memberships and find a new gym.Would never recommend this gym unless there were HUGE changes made to their staff and facility.

I am having trouble canceling my membership. Sent a certified letter to WOW in March to cancel my membership. Sending a second letter and notifying the MA Attorney Generals Office of the issue.

Good gym for the price. Lots of cardio machines. Wish there was more space for free weights but Its not too bad. Only paying 11 dollars a month. Has everything I need. It probably could be cleaner but if you want a spotless gym you have to pay more. I enjoy going here

Its okay for the cost of the membership. They keep it waaaaay to hot to the point of being uncomfortable and it becomes hard to focus. Alot of groups come in together taking over sections of the gym at at time. The gym is pretty big with lots of equipment and they are open pretty late so thats good. Definitely not enough benches, the employees dont seem to care much about cleaning up and putting stuff back in its place. I mean the members should, but they dont and the staff should put in the effort so youre not wasting half your workout looking for weights, clips and benches. I ended up spending the money on Boston Sports Club, its cleaner. Due to pricing its less of a crowd and all the clubs Ive been to so far are not heated like a sauna.

It’s good and people return your forgotten stuff most of the time, clean and people don’t judge you. Wish it was 24/7 tho but that’s alright the hours and day care seem to make it one of the best around

The babysitting service here is awesome! The staff are great and really care for the children and keep them happy and safe.

Decent size, good pricing. I only got a tour and got information. Personally, its too big and bright for me. I also didnt like that you cannot pay to bring a guest to classes. Im sure its worth the price if its your type of environment, but its not for me.

The Waltham Work out World is a great place to get a workout! Ive had wonderful experiences with the front desk staff and manager, Taline.I often ask the front desk for help with my personal problems and they have given me amazing advice in the past im so glad i didnt put my dog down.

This gym is excellent. Hardeep helped out in getting my gold membership; if you want to get an excellent workout experience this is the place to go.

Ive been a member here for a year and a half and its a good gym. It may not blow your mind, or be amazing, but they just expanded their space, its kept up pretty well (as far as I can tell) and the price is right — $11 for basics, no classes. I just like to run on the treadmill and it works perfectly for that. So no complaints.

I wanted to join this place but was told a member service rep would be there at 8am and no one else could help me sign up. I showed up at 8:15am on Friday to join. No one scheduled that day to do member services. The guy at the desk couldnt help me. So I left disappointed. After reading these reviews I remember why I cancelled from this place a few years ago. One weekend this place didnt open at the time stated. People were standing outside waiting. Not great service then or now. Will not join.

Its a members only gym but there is a subscription option that allows you to bring in a friend or a family member or any other companion whenever you want to. It has a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. A huge parking lot Makes life so easy.

Well! My cousin asked me to try this gym at this location as it is right next door where I live currently. I went in and a very rude person at the front desk I would say borderline racist literally shouted at me. When I asked for a day pass which I knew was free he asked me for $10. I told him I am a member at LA fitness and planning to move he said. You have to pay here to be a member. I asked him for a tour he said pay $10 and looked away. I asked him what the membership plans and benefits were. He said there are no plans.I was surprised by his rudeness and callous behavior but I politely asked him. Whats the best way for me to understand without spending time here and paying for a pass. You need to understand he was doing nothing. Gym was empty. Mid day noon hour on a weekday. I looked around he litwrally asked me to leave if I had nothing to do there.Dear owner . I understand your trainers and help staff are uneducated and they probably belong low socio economic class but you can train them in public interaction. Its a service industry. Any business will pay for your expenses and their salary if we are talking in terms of plain numbers.

The gym is awsome, machines are great everything is so clean. They have a very good selection of equipment, the lockers and showers are so clean and nice the only reason that this is a 3 out of 5 star rate its because the children care SUCKS, they ONLY watch the kids they dont play with them they dont keep them entertained all they do is: sit and see there phones, my son fell one time under there care and they didnt even told me about it I figure it out the next day when he woke with a bruise on his little eye and he told me.

This is a great gym for the price! There’s a lot of equipment, and even a large women only workout space. It’s not fancy, but it’s everything I could ask for in a gym for a fifth of what I’ve paid at most other gyms.

This place has been awesome for more than 10 years. The staff is outstanding, friendly and smart.

Have terrible experience with cancellation at this club. Just terrible. They dont give you the agreement document to go over when you sign up. Asked the guy million times that if I cancel within the next month, would I be charged anything. This guy said no, you dont have to pay anything. Next thing I know, it takes 30 DAYS to cancel (really?). So you have to pay for everything within that 30 days. And to cancel, you have to call a toll free number (aka waiting) then submit a mail to an address for cancellation. Are you kidding me? Its the 21st century. Save people some time and a load of hassle, would you?

Its a decent gym for the price. Major con is the atmosphere in general. No one knows how to put their plates back on the racks so you never know when someone is done with equipment. The music is by far the worst Ive ever suffered through in any gym, and Ive been to a good amount of gyms.

Good place for a no frills work out. Gets crowded when you expect it to but otherwise has a wide array of machines and weights separated nicely. Loses a star since many of the TVs on the machines clearly dont work.
