If more shops operated like Frank’s, I don’t think people would have anxiety about auto shops. Paul and his brother Mark are top notch people and mechanics and went above and beyond to get my car back on the road. I can’t say enough great things.

This place never called me back on a tire inquiry. They took down my information and never called me back. I never heard of a shop turning customers down. At least a call so I can go somewhere else. Overall this place gets one Star from me. Beware of this place.

Franks auto repair is awesome. We have been going to Franks for our autos for the past 30 years or more. Frank and his team listen to us when we have a problem and know how to diagnosis the problem and fix it. They are reliable and efficient. Most importantly, they let us know when a preventative repair is needed. This is important to us because we dont like to be caught in emergency situations. Each one of Franks team is easy to talk to and a great mechanic. We highly recommend Franks auto. You cant find a better team in Waltham.

If I still lived closer, I would take ALL My repairs to Franks! Been a customer since 2000 - various cars through the years. Always solid service at a fair price - NEVER feel like I am getting taken for a ride. Most recently, a rack of new rotors/pads for my Acura MDX - Great as always! And they also found the reason for an exhaust issue Ive had for 3 years now which SEVERAL Other places Said they fixed but they did not. So yea... I am a good 30 miles away but, as my schedule allows, I make it down to Franks because they are the best!!

Awesome experience here. Brakes were shot the day before a long trio to maine. Called at 1 o’clock, brought my car in at 1:30, with 3 cars in front of mine and only one guy working, he fixed my brakes In just a few hours! Professional, speedy, quality work! I have been to Franks Auto Repair for service on two of my cars on several occasions. Each time I was very happy with the service. This family owned business has a great personal feel while remaining professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the Waltham area looking for a mechanic.

That was my first experience with them for a patch on tire, nothing big, the guy who helped me was great respectful and knew customer service, thinking to go back for deferential oil change, will see the response and prices

Absolutely amazing customer service. Friday of a long weekend, we just start to get on the road for a weekend trip and our engine hot light goes on. Totally paniced we called Franks and his son said bring it in lets check it out. He was so nice even though they were closing and really helped us out of a serious jam. 1 hour later the light was off and we were off! Not many people would answer the phone, let alone offer to help like that. Seriously grateful and would 100% recommend Franks!

Nice guys but I felt a little disappointed in the price and service. We bought used tires and two of the tires had the beginnings of dry rot and one of them had hardly any tread left. So I brought the car back and they replaced the worst tire with a new tire but we had to pay full price for the new tire. In the end, we spent about as much as it would have cost to just buy four new tires. So feeling pretty bummed about the whole deal. Should have just got new tires at a different shop. Also, theres a plug in one of the tires (I just found) they didnt tell me about.

Franks Auto Repair and Tire Center did a FANTASTIC job on my brakes. We shopped around several places before we decided to come here. They took the time to assess my vehicle and even made me aware of another issue (and offered an affordable solution) that I had with my vehicle that I had previously noticed but was not sure of what was wrong.Great customer service and great AFFORDABLE prices. Not to mention a quick (but not rushed) turn around time. Excellent attention to detail. They were also very accommodating on very short notice.If you are debating where to go to get your car fixed, give Frank a call, you will NOT be disappointed!!

These people are amazing. I dont even know where to start. My husband and I have been going to them for a few years but tonight they delivered the best customer service I could ever imagine. They replace my husbands alternator today but when we came home the battery light came back on. Even though it was after hours they said bring it down the shop and well have a look. 10 minutes later it was fixed. What I love most about Frank is his calming voice. If I call in a frantic panic, he always makes me feel relaxed and calm after. Small, family-owned business who treats their customers right. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area!

I asked them to install 2 side mirrors for me and they did a quick and great job.Very friendly staff, laid back and respectful.They immediately took care of me and charged me only 60 dollars.I had called other auto repairs and they either said I had to wait until next week or gave me a quote of $200 for a simple task like this.I recommend them.

I was there to fix the flat tire for my Honda Civic. I was helped by Steve. He was really quick and knew what exactly needs to be done. He fixed the flat tire with in 10 min without even removing it. He charged me very little money since it was fixable with very little time.Really good service and I definitely recommend this place.

I noticed a large screw stuck in my tire last night and I wanted to get it repaired before I ended up with a flat. This morning I called several different tire shops and all of them either required an appointment or told me Id have to leave the car and come back for it later, which wasnt feasible for me.Then I called Frank. He told me to bring the car in right away, no appointment necessary, and within half an hour it was patched up and back on the road. He was kind, efficient, professional, and accommodating and I could not have had a better experience. I highly recommend Franks Auto and definitely will be coming back in the future!

Frank is a great guy to work with. He was helpful during the vehicle diagnostics and kept me well informed as the repairs progressed. Their team worked quickly to have my Jeep back on the road in less than a day. I recommend their shop for general auto repair and maintenance.

Frank is one of those old-style local garages that decided to update to modern times. He is an independent and fair in his dealings. I have used him over the years, and have never been disappointed, particularly with air conditioning issues. You can almost always save money over a dealership, and I suspect the work is performed as well or better than large flat-rate shops that cut corners.Dont be afraid to talk with him as he will tell you options and when he would suggest you do go to a dealer.

I had a leak in my tire, 34psi to 20 in 7 days. Another shop turned me away because they couldnt find anything. I came here and they gave the tire a good thorough check, took it off the wheel and found some rott on the beads and sanded it down. Told me to keep an eye on it. It took them a long time and I really appreciated it because OBVIOUSLY there was something wrong with it. They were really really nice. I will definitely be returning. Happy to support this very friendly family business!

Leaving Waltham on Monday and noticed a large screw in my tire. It was around 5pm and was turned down at two local repair centers. Happened to find Franks.What a great guy, helped me out and plugged the tire. Rates were fair and the conversation was priceless. Old school customer service. Highly recommended!

Frank and team keep my new car in prime condition and my old clunker on the road year after year. Ive rarely met such a honest, fair and knowledgable mechanic.

Went in to get my muffler looked at as it was making strange noises. Franks told me I had no choice but to replace the entire muffler. Got a second opinion and it turns I just needed 1 small piece fixed. I saved about 1300$ by having someone take a longer look at it. If Franks didnt know how to fix a foreign car, honesty would have done the trick instead of saying it was broken. Additionally,, while at Franks I was put down for also having a nice car. Will not repeat.

Took my car to Franks shop earlier this week and could not be happier with the service both he and his son Mark provided. They took my car for a ride and called me afterwards to ask if I had been hearing anything while driving it and then compared my answers to what they heard when they took it for a spin. After that, they put the car up on the lift and called me with what they found. Each issue was explained in detail and not once did I ever feel pressured to have something done to my car that would be just adding onto the bill for their benefit. Felt like I was talking to a buddy about what they thought my car needed and the honest back and forth about the cost and necessity of the work they were proposing. Couldnt have been happier with the experience and my car is running great. Will continue to go back as I have been for months now.

Frank’s garage is Fantastic!!I recently moved down to Waltham for school and I needed a new mechanic, (when you drive a car that’s on its last legs like mine, these things are important). It’s always tough to find somebody trustworthy when you move to a new place, but luckily I found exactly what I was looking for at Frank’s.I was due for an oil change so I took a look online to see where I could get a good deal. National Tire and Battery had an oil change special for 19.99, so I ended up going there. Not surprisingly they found some other issues, namely that my fuel filter was leaking. They wanted $70 for the part (I learned later that the part retails for 24.99) and $100 for the labor. They also found a laundry list of other problems. On top of that, they wouldn’t do my oil change unless I fixed some of the other things.Deciding that I should do some due diligence, I read a few online reviews and decided to give Frank’s a shot. Once again, I went in only asking for an oil change. Frank himself found the same problem with my car and took the time to show me where the problem was and how he was going to fix it. The best part was that he quoted a price much lower than NTB.Not only did I get my oil change and the new part I needed but I got it at a price I had researched to be fair. Frank didn’t try to pull any punches on me because I was new to the area, and he and his wife were very friendly and welcoming. Five stars all the way!
