AMAZING GRACE!! After taking a nice hot shower in order to get ready for work, my tub faucet would NOT turn off & water was coming down fast! It seemed like the more i tried to turn the faucet to off the more water kept pouring out. I totally Panicked! I Googled plumbers in Waldorf & came across R&D plumbing. I explained my issue to the nice woman who answered & she told me she’ll contact a plumber ASAP. Diron called us back w / in minutes & on video chat walked me & my mom through how to shut off our water until he could get to our house.Diron’s service was exceptional. After he fixed the faucet in my tub he noticed a few other things that needed attention & fixed those things w / no extra charge. He was friendly, honest, worked w / integrity & left the space clean after the work was done. I felt his price was reasonable & was so pleased w / everything. Woman who schedules the appointments for this business was extremely rude. Just learned this is a mother/son business. Plumber randomly showed up to my home 1 week after the agreed upon date. I had already booked an appointment with another company since the plumber never showed up and their prices were a little too high anyway. When I called to ask what happened and why did the plumber show up a week later, she became very defensive and began yelling. She told me I called to reschedule for the later date. I did not. Instead of admitting it was a scheduling mishap and she has mistaken me with another customer, she began yelling and said she had “notes” about a phone call that never happened. Completely unprofessional. I asked the plumber to leave before he started any repair because I no longer wanted to deal with the company due to her unprofessionalism over the phone. The plumber (son) who was currently in my home apologized for the mistaken and offered the service for a discounted rate. The woman who schedules their appointments was extremely rude. Would not recommend.

We engaged this company to install a new kitchen sink and faucet. Their pricing was very fair and reasonable and the service we received exceeded our expectations. The young man who came to do the work was very professional. We will be using this company going forward for any future plumbing work we need done.

Instead, they came and fixed several things for less than I thought it would take to fix one. He patiently answered all my questions and put my mind at ease. I will definitely choose them again.

Tropical Storm Isaias caused my basement to flood. My sump pump stopped working. I called the company to replace it, and they placed me on the schedule for the same day.When the plumber arrived, he had difficulty getting to the pump, because our home has a radon mitigation system connected to the pump. He got the old pump to come on, although he acknowledged that it was a temporary fix. He said to let the pump run for a few hours to get the water out of the basement, and he would call me once he got back to the shop to discuss what time he was coming tomorrow.A few hours later, the shop calls and says theyve decided not to take the job because they were backed up with work. Now Im just stuck with a flooded basement. Good thing I have a home warranty. But to leave me like that is unacceptable.

Overall, we had a great experience with Diron at R&D Plumbing. He was able to come out same day and do an estimate for us. He was very knowledgeable and straight forward. When they came out to do the repairs, they were quick and efficient. They installed two spigots and access panels, removed an older water heater, and installed a faucet in our new bathtub, all for a great price. Honestly it was a lot of labor, and it involved cutting into our walls, but you cant even tell he was here! It was nice to get all of that done without having to get parts ourselves or cut into our own walls. Ive attached a photo to show just how nice the access panels looked after installation.

I had a water leaking from a light in the kitchen, roughly below the washing machine on the second floor. I called in the morning and by early afternoon they had a plumber at my house. He did great work. He worked through numerous options to ensure we found the issue. Once identified, he went and bought the needed materials and returned to finish the job shortly thereafter. I called on Saturday night about a cold water valve that flew out because I forgot to shut off the water. I wasn’t sure how to reassemble it. Diron called me back and I explained I couldn’t get the water to stop without shutting it off to the whole house.Diron explained the office was closed till Monday, but then he did something awesome. We have used R & D Plumbing on several occasions and we have always been very satisfied with their services. I contacted R&D for a sewage pump back up issue. The gentleman arrived and marched inside with dirty boots on. I had to remind him to put shoe covers on. He came in and immediately cut my pipe. If he made an assessment, it was a 10 second assessment. The gentleman did not provide an estimate of any costs and replaced my sewage pump and sump pump with one of the most expensive pumps on the market. His markup was an additional $200 for both my sewage pump and sump pump. He then charged over $100 dollars an hour for labor. I feel that a $800 dollar job would have been a fair cost for his work. Instead, it costed me 1,180.00. I would not recommend R&D Plumbing if you are an average American living on a budget.

I was on a tight time-line; in need of a licensed plumber following a pre sale home inspection. R & D plumbing was able to scheduled my appointment next day. On Saturday, 24 September 2016, we were expecting 90 people for our annual end-of-summer party. We received new countertops the day before and I figured it would be quick & easy to connect the new sink so I put it off until the next day. Of course I thought wrong. The new sink drain was so far away from where the old drain was that I lacked the necessary parts and the time to install it properly - and given the sad shape of the drain line, I wasn’t even certain how best to do it. I also needed to install the new dishwasher. Admitting defeat, I called R&D Plumbing and they were at my house in about an hour. (I had used them in the past for a water heater installation.) Everything was up and running in time for the party. I never could have gotten this done on time without R&D’s help. And the fact they did it on such short notice and at a reasonable price made me especially grateful. These guys are awesome and their work is exceptional.

He was very helpful during the whole process even taking pictures of different toilets and getting prices while he was shopping. Called them and they were able to come the same day. We had a total blockage in the main line to the septic. He was able to clear it after considerable effort (bad clog). Very professional and courteous. They charge an hourly rate instead of piece work which I liked. Moved with a purpose too not trying to add any time to the clock. I will definitely use them again.

My kitchen sink was slow to drain so I called R& D plumbing and they came out the same day. They cleared the drain and everything was fine. that night it was slow to drain again, so I called them back and they snaked the drain again for free. They are very professional, I would recommend them to anyone who needs a plumber.

I learned that this is a a Mom and Son operation. Literally.The son never arrived on the originally agreed date. I called, his mother told me he would be there but hes running behind. He never showed at all.Then he calls me randomly, at like 7 or 8pm, and apologizes. We agree on a new appointment. This time he ends up more than an hour late.He told me he would have his mother (his words) draft up an estimate with letterhead and everything.Its been weeks, I havent heard anything.0 stars would have been ideal.

These guys are just awesome! We were stuck in a jam with water shutoff in our entire house. Not only did they arrive quickly and solve the near impossible (dilemna of a broken valve stem stuck in a pipe) they were actually able to get the piece out. What could have been a very expensive pipe replacement costing hundreds of dollars ended up being a very reasonable and fair priced job. They are honest, fair, friendly, prompt and very responsive. If not same day, it is usually within a couple days. He provides a cost estimate of the work and I find his prices and costs very reasonable compared to other plumbing companies. R&D plumbing has put in a full bathroom with shower, sink, and toilet and did an excellent job. They have installed new faucets for me. The most recent job was fixing a leaky toilet that was installed about a month ago. My house is 130 years old and is not always an easy fix because of the old structure and plumbing of the house. Diron makes an effort to work through these quirks in the house. The other thing is that R&D Plumbing stand behind their work and if something happens, they fix it. Thanks Diron!

Diron contacted rather quickly I hired him to do a simple job(replacing kitchen faucet). after talking about price I realized that he was actually significantly less than what some of my plumber acquaintances were charging. Pretty personable guy and we got along great during his time there. I had future plans for some tax money and I informed him of them and he pretty much got me a detailed quote over the next couple weeks. Once I was ready to move i called them up and set an appointment. Diron came out on the scheduled time and had some assistance (Louie) with him as the job was a bit bigger this time ( Hot water heater and 3 toilets). Both of these guys were friendly, knowledgeable and absolutely made quick work of the job. I have yet to have any issues with any of their work. Great guys, Great work, great price! If every contractor was as responsive as R&D, life would be so much easier. I am a real estate agent and I needed a plumber to go to a listing that was settling the next day. The buyer had found something on the walk through. I really needed IMMEDIATE attention. I found out my sump pump in my crawl space had failed when I saw water pouring into my access door. I found R&D on yelp and they were able to come out within a couple hours. I was so stressed about the situation but Diron came out and explained to me what was going on and said he could take care of it. He was very professional and clean. Last week my water heater stopped working. Another plumber tried to sell me a new one for well over $1,000 plus labor charges. I called R&D for a second opinion. He came out within the hour, drained my water heater, replaced the elements, and had it working in less than an hour! So glad I called these guys!

Overpriced. Always needs a helper on every job so you are paying for 2 people regardless the size of the job. Job was to install new laundry box as the old one has rusted and replace with something similar in size, shape and color. The replacement that was installed was a cheap plastic box that just enclosed the hot and cold faucets. The other was heavy metal with round handle faucets. They also were to fix the washer drain from backing up with soap and causing toilets to bubble. Within a couple days toilets were still bubbling. Called and spoke to mother about getting a call back but no one called. I was charged over $600 for an issue that is still not resolved and a less than $20 plastic laundry box.
