He was extremely knowledgeable and answered all our questions in a way we could easily understand. The quote he provided us was very fair, honest and within our budget. 128 provided best in class service. From our initial quote with Evan it became immediately obvious that they were a cut above the rest. Not only was he very respectful upon entering our home, but he called out multiple ideas and improvements for the placement of the units (which others had missed). Throughout the consultation Evan ended up pointing out common things that other companies will do to up-charge, and explaining why its unnecessary and what he would do. Ultimately our quote was actually the most competitive priced one, and it was the plan we liked the most.Aside from being the best priced, the customer service from 128 was stellar. They were attentive and helped us through each step of the process, including financing and rebates with MassSave.As if it couldnt get any better, we were shocked by the craftsmanship and professionalism of the installation crew. Jared and Mike were fantastic. They kept the house clean, and despite our job being pretty large scale, they were in and out in 4 days and were very tidy and confined while we worked from home. They always arrived at the expected time on the dot. Jared even helped us fix a small issue with the boiler to fix our hot water, which had nothing to do with their work! Chris and Austin also helped us through installing and explaining Kumo Station and Cloud (the mobile app controls) and making sure everything ran smoothly before transitioning it over to us.I cannot recommend working with them enough if you want the job done right.

I used 128 to install a 2 zone mini-split heating/AC system on a gut renovation in Gloucester. I want to recommend them because their price was reasonable and their technicians (Tommy and team) and system designer/sales person (Morgan) were all very patient and responsive to my many questions. Unfortunately they don’t seem to have very good communication between departments, which has delayed the completion of my system by more than 3 weeks and counting.I know mistakes happen and the workforce is stressed by the pandemic but when your company makes a mistake that means a customer won’t have a functional HVAC system on the date they were told you should bend over backwards to make it right. Instead I had to call twice and wait over 3 weeks to hear back about the wire that the electrician forgot to install, and when he was finally able to come fix it the technicians still needed to come back for finish up rather than coming together with the electrician.The last straw was when the technician realized the remote for the mini split wall unit was nowhere to be found on my latest “completion” date. They finished what they could and I’m now able to cool the second floor on its own thermostat, but the first floor can only be turned on with a manual override and not actually adjusted for temperature. Yet again no one called me to follow up on the remote so I had to call today only to find out that one won’t arrive for 4-5 days, which will push project completion more than a month past my original date.Each time I thought the system would finally be done I planned to start hardwood floor installation, which has now been delayed 4 times. I’d be more understanding if they kept me informed of the time frame for the delays and made extra effort to fix their mistakes rather than making me chase down answers and scramble when completion fell through again. 5 stars for Morgan, the install technicians, the price, and the quality of the system. 1 star for the repeated delays and lack of communication.

We had a sudden flood in our basement, and 128 came out within the hour to help us locate and isolate the leak. Kenny was super friendly and professional. He took his time explaining everything to me in a way that a non-plumber would be able to understand. Would definitely recommend him.

We have a state of the art boiler - that has been so problematic over the years. We had another local heating company here to diagnose an issue in 2019, we paid $2k for them to repair a part. And a year later we had issues again. Rinse and repeat until we found Dominic at 128. He came after our hot water stopped working - and immediately recognized the issue. All of our copper pipes were the incorrect size, which was choking the system causing it to work hard with little output. All of the pumps were also incorrectly installed, and the system was so loud. We had Dominic here yesterday to repipe the entire system and WOW!! What a difference already! He also cleaned up the entire area, leaving absolutely no mess behind for me to deal with. He was polite, knowledgeable, and a hard worker. We will follow Dominic to any place he goes! He’s that fantastic. A good lesson that not all plumbers specialize in boilers!

I had 128 install a mini-split A/C system, 1 condenser connected to 4 head units. It was a great experience overall and I highly recommend 128. I especially liked the two installers (Wayne and Anthony) who were very professional, competent, hard working, and generally nice guys. At various points in the installation they explained what they were doing and asked for my preference before proceeding. They were also very careful and respectful inside the house. The end result is a very clean looking installation, inside and outside, and the system works amazingly well. Thanks!

Ron and Miguel installed 2 mini split units in our house today. The service was great. Very knowledgeable and patient guys. Good customer service and communication skills.Listened our requests and did what we asked them to do, even at the times we were not sure how and where we want to run the cables. My wife changed her mind at least 5 times on the layout of the hoses and the cables on the outside wall. Ron just kept repeating - Mam, well do whatever you want.Took a little time to finalize our decision. As soon as we explained what we need, the work was done very carefully and neatly. Cables and hoses can barely noticeable in the laundry room.After the work was done Ron explained how to operate the unit and showed how to clean filters.Guys cleaned up VERY WELL after they finished. Dont see it often.Glad we hired 128 to do the project.

Louis was phenomenal and I can’t recommend him enough. We have two ductless heat/AC units and Louis not only cleaned them and made them look like new, but he took the time to show me how to properly take care of the units between deep cleanings (every 3 years or so). I recommend 128 and especially technician Louis.

128 installed four heat pumps (also called split air-conditioners) for us to replace our furnace and window A/C units. We couldnt be happier with their work. They were informative, and gave us a quick estimate at a good price. Wayne was the lead installer, assisted by Mike. They were extremely professional, considerate, and responsive to our needs and our questions. Together with two others from 128, they worked hard to come up with creative and very effective solutions for the challenges posed by our old house. They did everything they could to make it as easy and stress-free as possible for us. They were even nice to our cat! They went above and beyond in helping us with some minor carpentry to enhance child-safety and efficiency. 128 also helped us get an interest- free loan from Mass Save, and our government rebate. We recommend 128 — and especially Wayne and Mike — without the slightest reservation.

After months of research for a new mini-split system we narrowed it down to a few companies. We knew we wanted a Mitsubishi system, therefor it would be crazy to not to get a diamond contractor (if you dont know what that is, look it up) for all the extra benefits. Most of the other companies we had come out to quote us either tried to sell us units far too large for our layout which equated to bids thousands over most others, told us false information about the Mass Save program or took 2-3 weeks just to submit their quotes. 128 was professional, communicative and extremely prompt since the first second they walked through our door. Evan walked us through all of our options and answered any questions we could throw at him, explained all of our loan options and even had a quote for us before he left our driveway. He held our hand throughout the loan process and always checked in to see if any additional help was needed. Our install team was Wayne, Anthony and Kash and day in and day out (it only took 3 days even though they quoted us a 5 day job) we could hardly tell they were there. They took every precaution to work around our busy schedules all while making us aware of anything they thought we should know about. After every day that they left the made sure to leave our yard, front and back, the same way they found it. I wish all contractors we half as professional as this crew was!! We will recommend 128 plumbing to anyone who will listen!

I couldn’t be more please with my new Mitsubishi mini split system installed by Andrew and team. They did an excellent job, with great attention to detail. They cleaned up work areas daily and were careful with all household items. They gave me regular status reports and walk throughs to inspect work, answering all my questions. Seamless teamwork, too - no need for contracting out pieces of the job (like electrical) because 128 employs full home services teams. Altogether a great experience working with this company!

I recently had a mini split system installed in my Cape style home, the entire process with 128 from start to finish was fantastic. The install team of Andrew, Craig and Shawn were awesome, they were here on time, worked quickly, cleaned up everything, were very professional and even trained us how to use the system before they left. 128 Plumbing has always been extremely responsive for our plumbing needs. When we found our sewer was backing up through the manhole on our patio, we called and got an appointment next day. Charlie did an excellent and thorough job clearing our sewer line, removing many roots that had grown into the pipe. The job ended up taking most of the day, but Charlie worked relentlessly until our problem was resolved. He was very professional and kept us informed through the process.

128 Plumbing installed a new heating system for me. Morgan was the person who did my quote. He was super patient explaining everything to me, and took a ton of time to make sure I was comfortable with my purchase. In terms of price, they were the second cheapest option but in my opinion, they offered way better furnace and heat pump than the cheapest option. (Tip: Use AHRI to see if the parts you are getting are discontinued as some HVAC people will save cost by using discounted supplies from their warehouse supplier.) In terms of value, I got exactly what I asked for.Once the crew started, I was equally impressed with the installation team (Buck, Derek, Miguel, Tommy on the HVAC side, Eric and Chris on the electrical side). The electricians ran a new wire exactly where I wanted them to, and the leader installer, Buck, was a consummate professional. They laid drop clothes down, and even offered to leave a little early one day so my wife could do a video job interview during COVID-19. They simply came and worked a bit later the next day to make up for the lost time.Once the system was up and running, I had a small issue with a bad zone control board, and they had three different people come to help figure it out. Leslie, the person in charge of sending techs out, was super fast to get techs over and resolve problems.Finally, attention to detail is what matters. On the sales side, Morgan provided me with a Manual J (because I asked for it in order to get a rebate on the heat pump) and also added a raised wooden/gravel platform for my heat pump (I paid extra for that). On the install side, I will share a photo of my attic so you can see what they did. They put in a pan, they added an extra return, and they fit a 5 Aprilaire air filter into a very tight attic knee wall space by doing some custom plenum work. You cant see it in the photo, but they also fit in two zone dampers. On top of all this, they added a new duct line into my master bedroom to solve some complaints I had about the bedroom being cold in the winter.

Peter was fantastic from 128 plumbing. Cant say enough about his professionalism and taking time to explain things in a through manner, respectful, knowledgeable and provided excellent service to fix or Heating/AC/Thermostat issues. Very hard to find a service technician that actually listens and sits downs and explains things in layman terms and doesnt rush the customer into making a decision. I have had a lot of technicians in prior to Peter that just put a band aid on things. If you have issues with the HAVAC system call 128 Plumbing and ask for Peter he did such a great job and most importantly worked relentless to fix the issue and not overcharge me cant recommend him enough.

Luis performed the annual maintenance on my air conditioning unit. He was extremely polite and knowledgeable. He took his time and checked every facet of the system. The technician explained everything that he had checked and shared the results. There was an issue with a part on the compressor and stated that it probably should be replaced. He called the dispatcher to check to see if the part was still under warranty which it was.I have used 128 Plumbing many times in the past and will continue to rely on calling them when I need services.

Folks came out same day for evaluation. Offered a number of options and were honest about pros and cons of each. The two guys that came today... Billy and Justin were tidy, efficient and fast. I live in condo building and neighbors are not happy about having water turned off. These guys had the water off, and the applicable work done in 1 hour. The rest was completed within another 2 hours. The other gentleman that was here the other day Bill was also great and honest. Even the employee Taryn who answered the phone was great. All in all, 100% recommend these guys for plumbing needs.

128 Just replaced my HVAC with new Bosch system with heat pump and a little minor electrical work. I was impressed with the care they took to protect my home -inside and out, as well as the safety proto calls they all used. Sean took the time to explain every detail of what was going on and continually asked me if I had any questions.I took a look into Seans truck and could not beleive how neat and organized it was. TL;DR fast scheduling, fast & professional service.Called a few companies (and ended up on voice mail with all of them) because my baseboard heaters were under-preforming in a few rooms. 128 was the first to call me back, and got me on their non-emergency schedule. Their technicians called before arrival to let me know they were on their way, which I really appreciate. The first visit, the technician quickly figured out the problem was with one of the boiler pumps, and provided me a few replacement options and pricing. It wasnt an emergency, so they ordered the necessary manufacturers part to make the needed repair, and tentatively scheduled the actual repair for the expected delivery timeframe. The part arrived earlier than expected, and 128 called to see if they could install it sooner. I was available, and they were able to send someone back out that same-day.My experience with 128 has been wonderful and I definitely recommend them. Everyone, from their phone representatives to their work technicians, have been very professional and were able to clearly answer all questions. Thanks for your help, 128!

128 Plumbing was great during an emergency. On a Saturday (of course) our hot water heater went & flooded the basement. 128 sent a knowledgeable young man, Matt, to us within two hours. He explained various products, codes and asked if we had any questions or anything else he could fix. He replaced the outdated knobs, pipes and even fixed our gas dryer connection. Matt was able to get a water heater & install it that day. He was thorough, worked long hours, but was determined to help us that day. It was a bit pricey, but worth it. Thank you Matt & 128!

Our project had a few challenges once the team was onsite but the person who managed our project onsite quickly resolved any issues. The work went very smoothly and was completed on time. The team at our house was incredibly clean, followed all COVID safety measures, and were incredibly respectful of me working from home and being on conference calls. They kept us updated on their progress at the end of each day and let us know what to expect the next day. They were also very kind to my children which is always nice to experience when having work done in your home. We are very happy with the end results and would highly recommend their services.

As a first-time home owner and novice to all things heating/cooling systems-related, I had a lot to learn and was overwhelmed with the myriad of options to choose from. Out of the several quotes I received from different companies via the ‘Greater Boston- Best Pick Reports’, Morgan spent the most time with me (over 1 hour) patiently explaining, and re-explaining all the options. As this was also my first time using Mass Saves, I was worried about how long the process could potentially take since I was embarking on a major overhaul and wanted to get this done before the dreaded Wintertime (Oil to Gas heating conversion, Oil Tank Removal, Furnace/ Central AC/ Tank less Water Heater Installation, Old Water Heater Removal etc). With this in mind, Heather and Leslie were very responsive in shepherding my completed Mass Saves application ---- all in all, I was amazed that it only took about 2 weeks for my Mass Saves application to be approved and for my Lender to approve me a loan in order to get the work scheduled/started! My installation ran for 6 days, with Frank leading a team of 3 guys while Dave and Morgan stopped by to check in on the overall progress. Frank, Paul and team were very courteous, professional, efficient, and knowledgeable in all aspects of the work involved--- I appreciated that they tidied up, put floor covers in the indoor space, and ensured that all my doors/windows were locked after each work day. Glenn has been great in communicating all the scheduling logistics, and aside from waiting on a City Inspection Certification and Gas company meter upgrade, my condo is up and running for whatever the weather will bring! I wouldnt hesitate to use 128 again for any heating/cooling needs as their team rises to the occasion on building consumer trust, and providing great customer service!

128 heating saved the day. I originally had an issue with my shower leaking. Initially I spoke with Alex who was a giant help. He instantly calmed my worries and was extremely professional. He was able to get a technician out quickly and around my schedule. Dom was able to fix my shower and was able to diagnose a problem with my water heater. Redirected back to Alex, he again was able to quickly get a technician out to fix the problems Dom found. After fixing the heater I spoke with Andrew who was extremely helpful. He was able to direct me around the hot water heater over the phone after I asked for help and did not want a technician in my home due to COVID issues. Andrew read through my NAVIAN Manuel and was able to help reprogram the heater over the phone. Due to these three I will absolutely be using 128 again and highly recommend.

I woke up to a major sewer drain pipe issue and went to bed with peace of mind. 128 Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, & Electric responded to my call immediately, and sent Matt Doherty to assess the issue. My 88 year old pipes presented quite a challenge, but Matt was able to fix the problem with expertise. His perseverance was appreciated! When his on-site equipment wasn’t up to the task, Matt ran out to get a different piece of equipment, to complete the job. Matt worked tirelessly through lunch and dinner, clearing 60 feet of roots and clogs, all the time maintaining a friendly attitude. He was professional, and courteous, keeping me in the loop every step of the way. When Matt told me he’d clean up before leaving, you can imagine how delighted I was to see that my home was left in better shape than before he arrived. Our technician was very helpful, friendly and professional. He was great at explaining the problem and laid out the menu of possible remedies so that I can decide for myself what the best option is. I will be calling them again the next time I have an issue.

We were recommended to use these guys after a friend with a difficult project that they had successfully installed recommended them to us. They were extremely organised and from the initial quotation to the final install were very responsive, communicated well, and demonstrated great coordinated teamwork. Our ductless heating project had a few challenges due to our building, but Jared the installer communicated with us plainly and directly every step of the way- We were also impressed that he would consult with other colleagues to discuss his planned solution - to ensure that it was the best plan- and every time it was! We used the Mass Save energy efficiency program to help obtain financing for this project- and this company provided guidance to us on how to navigate the application. We would definitely recommend this company- the installers take great pride in their work, and inspire confidence. I was also impressed that they took great care with their trainees and showed respect to each other- keeping their cool even when the building gave a few exasperating surprises. The installer stayed until he knew we were satisfied with the work, and showed great patience answering our many questions.

At every stage of his visit he kept me in the loop, educated me on what kind of a system I had, how it worked and how to best maintenance it for efficiency and cost effectiveness. The 128 PHCE team, led by Ron on this project, did an absolutely remarkable job. The work was done with extremely high quality, with attention to details and the overall project was completed on schedule. Everyone was always courteous, kept us abreast of progress, sought our input when decisions needed to be made, took care of covering the floors when working inside the house and cleaned the site at the end of each day. Ron always touched base throughout the day and at the end of each day and provided an overview of what the next day would bring. This was a sizeable project which consisted of upgrading the entire heating and cooling systems of the house in addition to zoning one of the system and installing a whole house humidifier system. Overall, I would say that the team and the outcome of the project exceeded my expectations. This was the third project that 128 PHCE did for us and each project has been the same experience in terms of work quality, professionalism and attention to details. My home is an old home that was built in 1870s on a field stone foundation. The home has a top of the line Burnham Gas boiler system but no AC as it’s on hot water radiator heat. That being said I researched my options for a/c and decided the best option would be a mini split installation. Although a bit more pricey the systems can provide supplemental heat during chilly days as well. And a no brainer choice was to go with the Mitsubishi system and multiple heads for several rooms. That was the easy part.Then time to select an installer. After speaking to Mitsubishi directly I was out in touch with several contractors. 128 Plumbing got an opportunity to quote the job. As a Diamond Contractor they were able to offer the best warranty… and the fastest date for installation. Not knowing what to expect I scheduled the date.. and that morning of installation the guys were 20 minutes earlier on site and right on the job. The installation was for three heads and a 36k outdoor compressor. We all discussed placement together and talked about best concealment on the outside line sets and wiring.. Then right to work they went.. The job initially had two men and on day two it entailed three and an electrician.I am a stickler for being on time, aesthetics and cleanliness. That being said 128 Plumbing it every high mark possible! Ron “lead installer” set the job in motion and always went over every part of the job as it moved along. Miggy (installer) worked in perfect synchronization with Ron. Day one they had everything laid into place and all set to complete it on day 2. They cleaned everything even knowing they were back in the morning.Day 2 they were right on time… and added Mike and Kash to the job. By 3pm the units were installed… electrically hooked up and up and running. 128 did a final review of the system with me and answered every question I had. The complete job is an amazing addition to the home.. it’s perfectly placed and it looks professionally installed.Thanks again to Ron, Miggy, Mike and Kash for getting it done and done right! We recently purchased a home that needed 4 different plumbing items addressed. We contacted 128 Plumbing based on a recommendation from a friend and from the very start it was a fantastic experience! Michelle set the appointment up and was extremely pleasant, professional, and very helpful explaining the process. When it came to the actual appointment, Matt was just amazing! He was very patient while I explained/showed him the issues and then he explained in layman’s terms how he could fix the issue. He even pointed out some additional smaller things. Jorge came out today for a yearly maintenance service on my furnace. He was on time, friendly and personable upon coming into my house. He got right to work and did a very thorough job. Once completed he walked me through everything he did and showed me before and after pictures. He even went above and beyond by showing me preventative measures and tips to identify issues before they become issues. I was very impressed with his professionalism and the pride he took in his work. I will definitely recommend him for next year’s maintenance and if anything else came up before then.

My thermostat stopped working suddenly, and with an elderly parent needed to get the issue resolved. Called around, and was able to get a same-day appointment with 128. The technician determined that the thermostat face had malfunctioned and needed to be replaced, which he did. There was a minor misunderstanding regarding some of the charges, but management reached out to me personally and everything was resolved. All staff, including management, were extremely efficient and professional. I will definitely use them again.

Mark E. did the most thorough work-through of our heating system Ive seen. Mark has a professionalism that really instilled a sense of confidence in me that turned out to be entirely well-placed. It was really satisfying to watch him take such pride in his work, which is something you dont often see in the service industry. Mark installed a new control panel on our burner which fixed several long-standing issues (such as the basement heat not working properly), as well as made the unit combust 200% quieter. Mark seemed to have really good contextual knowledge about what he was doing, but also really good peripheral knowledge on how related forces were affecting our unit: Chimney, piping, draft, tank, ect...Not to mention, Mark was just genuinely a good guy. It was a pleasure chatting with him to pass the time.Thanks again!

128’s technician Craig came out to evaluate my central AC system to find out why it’s not working. The appointment was scheduled quickly (24-hour) turn around and the visit was thorough. I received education about my system and options for next steps to address non-functional parts. I also received a written document of what was done/covered during the visit. This was a good first experience and I anticipate working with 128 moving forward.

I recently had a heat pump installed by 128 plumbing. The experience was great in terms of establishing the product to be installed and the installation itself. The specifications provided by the rep. (Darren) were exactly what I requested.The installation went very well. The team was sitting outside my home 10 minutes before the scheduled 7:00AM start time. This was a fairly complex job on a 130 year old building. There were a number of decisions to be made to facilitate a successful result. The team leader (Ron) involved me in every decision and made sure that I was satisfied with the results.I was impressed by Ron’s professionalism despite his youth. He and his team mate seemed to really enjoy their work as I could hear their joking and laugher as they worked.The job was completed on time. Prior to leaving, I received a full tutorial on the operation of the system and controls.

They were able to send a technician out right away. When Shawn arrived at my door he showed he was very knowledgeable, professional, and a pleasure to have in my home. I needed a significant amount of work done. My son found 128 on the internet. I could not be happier with the work that has been done so far (here from 8:30am until 5:45!). Future work includes plumbing for first floor washer and dryer and work on the heating system. I really appreciated the explanations of things I know nothing about. I chose 128 Plumbing to install my ductless AC units back in 2016 after researching different companies. I chose them based off of the online reviews and word of mouth reputation when asking current customers and people in the energy efficiency field. What a great choice I made! Any minor issue since then was promptly taken care of. Service tech Craig was just here servicing one of my units. He was on time and a complete professional. I also loved that he spoke so highly of his company which shows that they must not only care about their customers, but their employees as well. All Technicians were professional and on time. Since it hasn’t been even a month from the work and I’m not a plumber or an electrician, I have no idea on quality besides I have hot water and electricity so good? I guess. Thus time will tell.Reason for 3 stars was scheduling, following up, and just a complete confusing SOW (Statement of Work).Organization has everything in house which is great, BUT their Plumbing and Electric division are independent as they TRY to work together there is quite the friction and misunderstanding going on.Additionally, through the quoting process a lack of understanding through the SOW caused quite a bit of confusion on what works needs to be done. So make sure you ask and understand what you are getting.Lastly, quite expensive. From most of the quotes, this one was by far the most expensive and completely unwilling to budge on price which I felt was a bit absurd as they wouldn’t work with me economically.Assuming I would get the high quality and warranty, I thought let me spend the money to get the best, but that wasn’t the case all the time or even at all.Overall, great company/people but of the three PPPs of business they need to work on process.

The focus of this visit was to connect a Kohler generator to the propane. They were very kind and professional in every way. The job was lengthy and complex but the team continued working diligently into the evening til it was completed. We are extremely happy with their work and grateful to have had them working in our home especially during these difficult times

Came to look at a grey water leak in my basement. Pushed pipe lining and a few other basic services on me to the tune of +/- $5000. Like a dope I agreed and gave a $2400 deposit. Came to my senses and had a few local plumbers come look, both laughed at 128s bill and quoted under $1000. Called 128 and cancelled, took them close to 2 weeks and a couple additional emails/texts/ calls to release my deposit. Love how they require a deposit immediately, but take their sweet time to release it. Shop around, bigger isnt always better.

Today I had preventative maintenance done on my AC unit. Jorge,the service tech went above and beyond. Explaining all aspects on the service he performed on the air handler and the condensing unit. It is good to see that their are some people who still take pride in their work. I would highly recommend Jorge for all your HVAC needs. Along with other techs that I have had work done by from 128. Truly very professional and reliable people.

Overall, I was pleased with it. The air conditioner works fine now, and the service was friendly throughout. I was mildly peeved at first, because the day of service had been moved forward by a day without me being told, but one more day without air con wasnt the end of the world, and he showed up on time the following morning. So, for the most part, I was happy.

I had three services performed in the last week - garbage disposal installation, new sump pump installation, as well as a replacement air-conditioning condenser and air handler installed. I live in a large, old home, meaning doing work on a remote roof section as well as in a dusty and hard to reach attic. All workers involved were incredibly professional, thorough and did the work with care and focus on detail to make sure it was done right. Highly recommend!
