I needed to have the band of an old ring enlarged but was hesitant to leave the ring with just any jeweler, as I didnt want to end up as another news story about a person whose nice stone had been replaced with a lesser-quality stone by an unscrupulous jeweler. When I dropped the ring off for resizing, Tina was very understanding of my concern and spent a long time searching for an identifying mark in the stone so that I would be able to clearly identify it as mine after resizing. The ring was ready for pick up well within the promised time, and I am very pleased to say that the ring has my original stone! Everyone at the store was very pleasant and easy to deal with, and they seemed to understand my hesitancy. I will take my ring back again without concern when it is time for a yearly cleaning. (They also have beautiful pieces in their inventory, and I look forward to returning to do some shopping!)

Had a wonderful experience at Wake Forest Jewelers! I had visited several jewelry stores — in Raleigh and WF — but just couldn’t find what I was looking for. I wanted a piece of jewelry that commemorated the birth of my baby. After walking around the store and trying on a few items, the helpful sales associate offered a custom ring option. It was perfect - I was able to select the size/shape of birthstone and ring — and I got the call it was ready in the next week! Derrick did a custom platinum setting for my diamond solitaire, to match with an anniversary ring that I have. It is classic and elegant. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, and I never felt rushed in making a decision. Some months ago, he took two gold wedding rings that didnt fit my husband anymore and made a new one. Its perfect! To find a business with both beautiful jewelry and the ability to do custom designs is priceless!

I would rate Wake Forest Jewelers on South Main Street, NC a ZERO if I could, because they do not even deserve a One star which is the lowest rating. Here is my experience with them.I was looking to sell three diamond rings (one wedding ring with diamonds half way around, an engagement ring with a sapphire in the middle with small diamonds on both sides of the ring and another ring with diamonds half way around...made a beautiful and classy set which were purchased in the diamond district in New York City). At time when I went to Wake Forest Jewelers, I was in a bad place in my life, and Wake Forest Jewelers purchased only diamond rings at a small fraction of what they are actually worth but not the sapphire since according to them the sapphire was not a good stone, because it was very damaged and wasnt worth anything and they would chuck it because they do not sell nothing but quality jewelries. Therefore, I sold them the other rings, and I left the one with the sapphire since they said the sapphire was not worth anything and they would not be able to sell it because of the damages in the stone and they would do away with it. I decided to go back and get the sapphire, but to my surprise they had the wedding ring and the engagement ring with the same sapphire stone that they said was so damaged and not sell-able in their show case to sell to some innocent person who thinks that they are receiving a quality sapphire stone. I was so shocked that they would literally have my rings with the damaged sapphire on display in their show case to sell the same sapphire for top dollars that they told me was no good. That is so wrong, because some innocent customer is going there to pay top dollars for a sapphire stone that Wake Forest Jewelry said was not a good stone and they would never sell something like that to their customers. They refused to give me back the sapphire and lied that they paid me for it with the other rings. The disappointing thing in all of this is people not knowing what they are getting and will be charged a lot of money at the expense of another customer. It is not right and not fair what management is doing to the customers!

My ring had gotten stuck on my finger. I tried everything to get it off and it wouldnt give. My husband called Wake Forest Jewelers and they were very friendly and quick to tell him they could help! My class ring needed to be sawed off my finger years ago after a car accident and I didnt think I could get it fixed at a affordable price. I agree with the other great reviews. I have an older ring and wanted to get in cleaned and inspected for loose stones, repair if necessary. As soon a I walked in I was greeted. Told them what I wanted, was told to hold on. I assumed the ring was being inspected and that I would be given a date to come back. About 5-10 minutes later (I was looking at the great selection of NICE watches) the ring was returned. It was sparkling clean and was told all the stones were tight. They refused to take payment. Ill be back for my next shiny purchase!!!!!!

Yesterday I visited the location to have a stone from my old wedding ring designed into a pendant necklace. When I arrived into the store there were two couples who were being serviced and myself. No one acknowledged me although there were several people available and not servicing customers. Finally a young lady acknowledged me and asked had anyone helped me. I let her no what I needed and she said I needed to speak to the jeweler. She went in the back to get the jeweler and returned to let me know she would be out to help. After several minutes she (the jeweler) came out still not acknowledging me and started to speak to two of the associates about calling customers to let them know there items were ready for pickup. Next, she proceeded to make 2 calls to customers to let them know there items were available for pickup and between calls she looked up and told me she would be right with me. During the second call I let the young lady that I spoke to earlier know that it was ok and I was leaving. At no time did the jeweler try to stop me from leaving or apologize for the wait which should not have been a wait anyway. Customers in the establishment should be acknowledged and serviced right away. I would like to also mention that I am a black female and the two couples that were being serviced were Caucasian and also the staff. I wonder if that was the reason for the horrible service!

Highly disappointed by the customer service I received by one of the employees here. I came in simply to have a watch battery replaced. The woman assisting me stated that I would need to leave my item for a few hours (which I found odd since there were 2 people working and only 1 other customer waiting to be assisted). I stated that I preferred not to leave my watch and that I would go to a different location. She then became upset and said she’d get around to it after assisting the customer behind me (very curious to know why that other customer was more of a priority than I was). After waiting a few minutes, the gentleman behind the counter came to ask what I needed and he immediately took care of replacing my battery- all before the woman was done with the customer behind me. It took the gentleman less than 2 minutes to change my battery and set the correct time- no where near the “few hours” the woman told me they would need. Highly disappointed to feel that another customer’s needs, who was in line after me, were put ahead of mine. I had planned to return to this jeweler to look at engagement rings with my boyfriend, but will no longer be returning as the employees did not respect me as a customer.*editing to add that a customer in front of me also needed a watch battery replacement and the gentleman working did it without mention of needing to leave it, so the response I received about it being standard sanitation practice is obviously untrue.

I came here because they were recommended by the community as a place to trust with your jewelry, and I had a few pieces to appraise and resize. I was served by Tina, and I have to say that I was so pleased with the experience! She was so helpful, thorough, and give me her professional opinion when I just didnt know what to do. By talking with her, she gave me a sure confidence in their abilities and care. I also had some gold to sell, and even though some of it was just a jumbled mess, she quickly assessed what I had and took the best care of me! I cant wait to get my items back and see the amazing job they have done! DEFINITELY go to them!

My fiance and I dropped off my engagement ring and wedding band to be sized and another ring to be appraised. The work was beautiful and as expected. Which would be 5 stars BUT...when we went to pick up our pieces, there was a man and dark haired lady (not sure who they were but they both worked there) were having an argument about something. When the man came over to help she followed him over and was about 3 feet from my face still being loud with her required mask in her hand. The man tried to diffuse the situation and eventually walked out. It was very awkward and uncomfortable for us as customers and the fact that she had no regard nor any interest that there were customers around and wasnt wearing the required face mask made it worse. It seemed she was only concerned with being right and winning the argument.

I was just in to have my watch repaired. I hit it at work and knocked the glass off, bent the second hand and lost the X for the 12. Although there was nothing they could do about the X, Derrick worked his magic with the super fine second hand. Looked like I never bent it like a hook. He also put my glass back on. He then handed me my watch & said Have a nice day. They did not charge me a penny. I tried leaving some cash but they would not take it. I will be a customer for life with them. I just moved to the area in April. I seen they were voted Best of the best for 7 years. Now I know why. I had never been into Wake Forest Jewelers until today and could not have been more pleased with my experience. The jewelry was gorgeous, old and new and the costumer service was the best I have experienced anywhere. As soon as I walked into the store someone from the back came out to help me because other costumers were already being helped. She was extremely knowledgeable about the jewelry I brought in. I highly recommend this store if you need an estimate or are looking to buy.

Wake Forest Jewelers did and amazing job repairing my wedding ring last year. The band was split and it also moved around inside my engagement ring. They repaired the prong as well that was bent and welded the bands together so they wouldnt slip. I was ecstatic when I left and still am a year later!

If i could give no stars i would. I visited this store and tried to sell my rings and was told i could come back and sell it to them for $200. Was told if i come back the deal would be honored. This was a real diamond wedding set from my mothers old marriage that she wanted sold. I went back and they refused to honor the deal and called Tina to confirm and she also refused to honor the deal. Will not come here again

Went to get my engagement ring fixed. Dropped it off and got the estimate and got it back in a few days. It looks good as new and was affordable. I am very pleased with the work.

I can not say enough about the experience of shopping at Wake Forest Jewelers. I went in with my original 24 year old wedding set. It was yellow gold with a solitaire and a diamond wedding band. I wanted the ring updated into just one ring with updated white gold. I was able to communicate with Derrick about keeping it traditional with an antique/vintage style. He was able to envision and create EXACTLY what I wanted. I love that I was able to keep my business on a local level. I love my neighborhood jeweler!

Staff so helpful in getting my watch switched to a new band. As Rebecca worked quickly on this task, I looked over the lovely jewelry selection. Some dynamite estate selections and great deal of bridal sets. Prices are reasonable and was interested to see a young woman get her ears pierced for free with earrings purchase.

I recently inherited a few sentimental pieces. I had the jewelry appraised for insurance purposes. The appraisals were thorough and detailed for a very reasonable price. I also had a couple of rings re-sized and rhodium plated. I am very pleased with the outcome and the quick turn-around time. I much prefer to give my business to a small local shop than a corporation.

I just want to take a minute to tell folks about a blessing I just received. I have a brother with terminal cancer that lives with me. As a teacher, I am out of school for the summer so I am looking for things to sell and for ajob to make ends meet during the summer. I took some jewelry to Wake Forest Jewelers and they were so amazing! Not only did they buy my jewelry, they took the time to explain that whole process to me and allowed me to call other gold buyers and they topped the price. Other places tried to give me the run around about their purchase price. It’s a confusing process because every dealer uses different terms (penny weight, grams, ounces, etc). Even knowing the market value, etc. isn’t much help when they give you the run around and they all want you to come in rather than shooting straight with you. I absolutely had the best experience with Derrick. I was looking for a new setting for my engagement ring. He had inventory and catalogs, but nothing caught my eye. We then started designing, I sent him pictures, etc. He whipped up computerized images and together we finally created my perfect ring! Excellent customer service. I was shopping for a 25 th anniversary ring. They had several beautiful styles in stock but ordered another for me to see. It was absolutely stunning .Derrick had it set the very next day. The price was almost half of what I had seen at another jewelry store. I highly recommend shopping here. I will be back.

I had already had good experiences with the folks here, but my most recent experience tops them all. I went in to have some earrings made for my wife that would match a bracelet I got her for Christmas a year ago. When I went to pick them up, the price was much less than we had agreed to, so I asked them to check the price. The owner had overheard me tell the store associate how much I paid for the bracelet last year, and he told me there had been a mistake, and I had been overcharged for the bracelet, so he was making it up on the earrings. He didnt have to do that; I never would have known. This is the kind of person I want to buy from!!!

I went to Wake Forest Jewelers recently with several things - I needed a ring re-sized, a necklace clasp replaced, and two bracelets needed new clasps. For the bracelets, I got the magnetic clasps which are WONDERFUL. So easy to put them on now so I will wear and enjoy them more. They also replaced a clasp on a necklace and got out some knots in the chain which I didn’t think could possibly be removed. Everyone there was helpful and I was very pleased with the work and with the price. They really helped me with the ring sizing, and as a result I got the ring a bit smaller than I would have asked for. But it’s just right, very glad for their advice on that. I didn’t buy anything new, but they had some beautiful things and I will return there when I am in the market for jewelry.

I had a watch link removed and a ring repaired there. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I was able to have my watch link removed on the spot and they were very quick in fixing my ring. I dont have much to compare it to price wise but prices seemed fair for what I needed.

After a long day of shopping for just the right pair of diamond earrings, I found myself very defeated. I visited every chain store in the triangle area and just wasnt happy with what I found. I walked into Wake Forest Jewelers 30 minutes before they were to close and I couldnt have been treated any better. They were amazing. Not only did I finally find the exact pair of earrings but I think they were just as excited for me as I was. A great experience, a great product, and great people. My experience at Wake Forest Jewelers was above and beyond anything I had seen at other stores. Derrick was incredibly helpful from the moment we walked in and helped us design the perfect ring for my fiancee. Even though it was Christmas time he worked over the holiday break to procure a very specific stone and went through many revisions with us to get it just right.Even after buying the ring Derrick continued to be responsive to our needs. He helped us resize the ring two separate times and even shipped the ring overnight so we would not be without it long.Fantastic service and even better people.

I was not sure what to expect when I visited this jewelry store. I was used to dealing with the big box stores in the malls. This is a family owned jewelry store run by the actual owners. We were welcomed and he listened to ourvwants and needs. He installed a ring guard on my wifes ring and cleaned it right away for our 20th wedding anniversary! There is a huge selection of new and previously owned jewelry to choose from. I an very pleased and will definitely be back!

I left my jewelry for two weeks and never got a call. They said that they left a message, maybe I didnt recieve it. They are very friendly but the way they fixed my jewelry looks terrible. I have very dainty jewelry and they just repaired them with large loops... They never talked to me about it or anything. Like I said they are extremely nice but I just would never take my jewelry there to repair again.

Everyone was incredibly pleasant, but my experience was awful when it absolutely did not have to be.I handed over my Great Grandmothers ring to be resized for my fiance. It is not an example of the highest craftsmanship, but a family heirloom nonetheless. When I got it back the base of the ring was obviously lobsided in thickness where it had been symmetrical when it was given to be worked on.I returned to the store and communicated my concern that the shank thickness was obviously off, they agreed that it was lopsided, and the ring disappeared into the backroom and I could hear grinding. When it came back the shank had been ground down to make it thin in the bottom center and taper gracefully up towards the shoulders. I was then told that the design on one side(three simple horizontal lines) was even restored. I was dejected. The ring has been passed down four generations. I was never given an option. They just decided that while the shank was being corrected to do some other work that was never discussed much less given permission to do. I get the impulse on their part to try to make me happy, but I simply wanted the shank fixed.Every person I met at Wake Forest Jewelers was remarkably nice, but this experience was disheartening. I was entrusted with a small piece of family history and I messed up.Update: I presented the ring to my fiance and she immediately noticed how incredibly thin the band is now. Shes afraid to wear it because that could cause further damage. It still doesnt fit.Final Update: I received a call from Wake Forest Jewelers and we talked about the situation. To their credit they asked for another chance. I brought the ring in and and talked directly to the craftsman on site. This discussion went...less well. I was chided for leaving a negative review before I gave them a chance to fix things. I was fed up. I laid it out that I had been to the store four times and handed the ring over five times to them just to get it resized. They said that the ring would be ready the next day. Great.The next day I didnt get a call at work saying that the ring was done. They said it would be ready that day so well just go over before they close. My fiance and I had a dinner with a friend she considers a father figure. She wanted to announce our engagement and show off the ring. We headed to Wake Forest Jewelers. I walked in and one of the nice ladies up front says, We didnt call you saying it was done... I reminded her that I was told it would be done today. She went and got the owner who greeted me graciously and explained that the ring was almost finished. I waited about fifteen minutes then she reappeared all smiles with a beautiful, fully repaired ring.Being that this was already an ordeal I asked the owner to size the ring before I left. She agreed and slid the ring on to the conical sizing tool then after eyeballing it said, A perfect six! I stared in disbelief. You could see the realization make its way across her face. My fiance is a size five. She flew into the backroom and slammed the door. There were some attempts to muffle the conversation but it was easy to hear. The ticket was right but the jeweler was told that it was wrong and then sized it wrong. This went back and forth between them for way too long. We were going to be late so I told one of the sales people that I was leaving and that Id deal with this tomorrow.I told my fiance that the ring was not finished. Ill be damned if Wake Forest Jewelers was going to cause her anymore distress and sour an evening with a dear friend of hers. She was disappointed that the ring was not ready, but perked up at the idea that it was in good hands and almost finished. We had a great night.The next day I got the ring back(size 5 this time) and it looked fantastic. I will never go back to them again, nor in good conscience can I recommend their services.

Absolutely Fantastic Service!This is the first time Ive done business with WF Jewelers, but it will not be the last. Anne-Marie is as friendly as they come, and the jeweler is very highly skilled. I needed a class ring with extremely detailed artwork rhodium plated, and then re-antiqued. WF Jewelers have produced a quality that larger name companies cannot rival, in my experience. To top it off, the price was incredible compared to the big box companies I had shopped. Turn around time was less than 24 hours, and the ring detail is better than it was when I first received the ring! Im so pleased, and I cant wait to do business with WF Jewelers again!
