As a family we were looking for the next level of Baseball. After looking around for a summer while our son was playing Allstars, we were Blessed to find Carlos at MVP. We quickly fell in love with the MVP Family and our son found a home in baseball. We wanted a program that he could Grow in. That had paid coaching staff to avoid Daddy Ball. We were looking for a year round opportunity where they can practice indoors or at a field. Through private lessons with Carlos, our son has found his Pitch that is unique to him... (no cookie cutter coaching here). He has become confident in his swing (making contact at every at bat) and has found a brotherhood amongst the older boys. We wanted a facility that believed in our boy as much as we (as parents) do, and we found it with this MVP family. We looked for an organization like this for a while... we are grateful that we found it! I would recommend MVP to any Family for classes (Carlos and the coaches put there best in every class), private lessons, Camp, and of course to try out for a travel team. Our son leaves the Gym better every time he walks out.
We have been going to Carlos since before he had a facility. From the first time we met him and our son took his first lesson, he has done nothing but add to the level of skill for our player. He is knowledgeable in all aspects of the game and has a way with the kids that makes them want to be a better player. Our son enjoys and learns from the lessons that he attends one on one with Carlos. The group lessons are well structured there is no down time and the kids are not just standing around waiting for the next thing to do, there is always something to do. If quality instruction is what you are looking for to advance your player to the next level work in combination with private one on one lessons and the group lessons you will not be disappointed.
MVP Athletics has a lot to offer, including travel ball teams for girls and boys of all ages, track out and summer camps, and private instruction to name a few. Our son has become a different ball player since working with Carlos Varela at MVP. Having an indoor facility prevents any cancellations on practice or lessons due to weather. Additionally, our middle school uses their indoor facility to maximize practice time during the colder months. We love MVP Athletics and highly recommend it!
We love MVP! My son has made huge improvements in his game after attending a class weekly. They work well with all skill levels. He loves going, we have seen a change in his cofendence and we couldnt be happier. Very affordable and totally with it!
Fantastic place. Carloa is great with the kids. My son has progressed so much not only in baseball skills, but also in confidence as well!
Wonderful team with coaches you can trust teaching your child great baseball. A family fit all the parents are on board for whats best for the boys.
Think twice about signing your child up for a track out camp here. I found Carlos to be very untrustworthy. After one half day camp, my son begged not to go back. There were concerns of safety, neglect and foul language which we adressed with Carlos. He agreed to refund us the remainder of camp fees. After three weeks of phone calls, emails we finally got our refund.
My son did lessons with Carlos before Carlos was a business owner. We took lessons with Carlos for about 3 years and even introduced 3 of the people who have made reviews here to Carlos. Prior to becoming a business owner Carlos was great with my son, but once he opened the business I felt that my son became a $$ sign and that Carlos had no vested interest in helping my son to get to the next level. This organization is about who the owners are friends with and who kisses their butt the most and those are the kids that Carlos takes an interest in. If you are ok with the coaches screaming and cursing at kids then this is definitely the place for you. This wasnt an issue for us as we understand that as players move up to high school and college that the coaches will be hard on them but I just want to make you aware of the atmosphere that your player will be in with this organization. This organization definitely has its share of “daddy ball” as well as “who your parents are ball” and “who spends the most time and money at the facility ball.” This business is very unorganized as far as teams, practices, lessons, and money handling. There is a huge amount of drama surrounding this organization and the owner’s wife. As the owners wife you cant allow yourself to get caught up in everybody’s drama. Carlos was a great coach and helped my son tremendously until he became a business owner. Its very unfortunate that sometimes money and power change who we are. I have also in the past been ask by the owners wife to write a good review about classes and things being offered at the business so it doesnt surprise me that within the last month they have had 6 superb reviews. In my opinion if a business is truly superb then you wont have to ask for a review.
Carlos has done a wonderful job here.
