I hired Erin from the Charis Foundation to help cultivating a coparenting relationship with my daughter and her mother for over one year. She made things substantially worse. She failed to include me in the any of the counseling sessions or make me aware of dangerous behaviors. She reinforced beliefs that are fundamentally not part of my belief system. I approached Frank and asked him to intervene and he simply said he could not help me. I thereafter sent a letter ending services but continue to receive bills weekly.
Ive been a client of this practice for about a year now. I would highly recommend Charis to anyone looking for counseling services. There are several counselors in the practice which gives clients the opportunity and choice to work with one who is just the right fit. My counselor is the best Ive ever worked with. He offers just the right blend of effective, straightforward counseling with genuine compassion. Thats why I continue to see him on a regular basis.
I have used Charis services for many years and cant say enough about how much of a positive difference this has made in my life and the lives of those close to me. They approach the counseling setting with such discerning and skillful processes, and I appreciate the ways I have been able to grow in my relationships into a healthier place of being. I have used other counseling services over the years and Charis exceeds them all. Highly recommended to anyone seeking marriage and family therapy.
Charis Foundation is a place of healthy transformation. I knew I was stuck and needed help in one particular area of my life that kept coming back to bite me. I was exhausted and ready to reach out for help. It was critical for me to find a therapist with particular qualities and skills, but I had no idea of where to go. Im forever grateful for the recommendation offered by a colleague. I knew immediately that I was in the right place. The difference this counseling has made personally in my own life, and the rippling effect relationally, is immeasurable... it feels good.
Wonderful and compassionate people who really care. This organization is both ethical and knowledgeable. Positive experience that I would recommend to anyone.
I have used their services for more than a year. Very satisfied. I was pleased to find a counselor that works well for me.
At best: poorly conceived/executed; At worst: borderline scammy. I have two ASD kids and my wife and I were curious about floor therapy, which was offered by Charis. My wife scheduled an appointment to come in and ask some questions about what the therapy sessions involved and get a feel for the place and the therapists who would be working with my son and daughter. Even if a therapy is generally effective, its really important that the kids respond to the people that are working with them. My wife met the owner and two of the therapists in the owners office at the appointment. The therapists were college students and didnt have much therapy experience or experience in working with Autism Spectrum Disorder kids, didnt have experience with floor therapy, and were trying to build therapy experience. We decided that it wasnt a good fit for our family. My wife called them back the same day to let the owner know and thank her for her time. The owner claimed that we owed her $180.00 for her time even though we did not and certainly would not have ever agreed to any amount of payment for answering questions about therapies, either verbally or in writing. When my wife asserted this to the owner, she hung up on my wife. We, thankfully, did not give any insurance, payment, or credit information to Charis.
