I was greeted by an enthusiastic receptionist and my hygienist Shannon was so upbeat and funny. I was so tired before my appointment but she had me laughing so much her energy was contagious! She did a fantastic job cleaning my teeth & making me feel comfortable. I will definitely ask for her next time!

Dental needs sometimes occur unexpectedly, like holiday weekend evenings, and they have always been supportive. That is really important. They make sure Im comfortable and give me great treatment and good advice. The facility is first class and the staff are very professional and friendly. Highly recommended.

They provided me the most thorough exam I have ever had and I am 71 yo. Dr Wood is excellent and she and her assistant made two hours in the chair about as nice as it could be. I am very impressed with the thoroughness and competence of this office.

My family was looking forward to returning to Gentle Family Dentistry as we had to leave in 2019 due to an insurance change and change in coverage. That was fixed this year (2021). What a difference two years can make with a practice.The Dental Hygienist was incredibly rude an unprofessional. In fact, I didnt finish the appointment and stopped the appointment mid stream. I did speak with the office manager to convey my concerns. I was told she was a good Hygienist. That may be for the business side, but not the customer side. This experience was by far the worst I have ever encountered.

Every visit includes an upsale of some kind. Beware! They are not upfront or transparent about the added costs of each visit. Even with Insurance, they found ways to make every single visit more costly than my copay. Thought I would be paying for a routine cleaning, but ended up having a $100 bill to pay!

Our family of 5 all love this place! Friendly, gentle, and always very informative. They take the time to explain any issues and give you all the options. They dont force any unnecessary procedures. I would recommend for kids and adults!

Today was my 1st visit, and I was very happy when I left! From the time I walked in the door until I left, everyone that helped me was very friendly. Karin was my hygienist- she was so gentle and helped calm my nerves! I saw Dr. Tran Nguyen. I have nothing but good things to say! I will definitely be back.

Dr. Tran is expert at what she does and she is extremely caring. I have been to a multitude of dentists over the past five years and they had left me with lingering pain and more issues. I just completed my last visit today with Gentle Family Dentistry and I am totally pain-free and so, so happy! The dental hygienists and assistants were all dolls and top-notch in skill. Always a bright friendly place to go and get your teeth cleaned! All the hygienists I’ve had so far are gentle and have made me feel comfortable and are very warm and friendly. The Dentists are wonderful too.

I was diagnosed with moderate periodontal disease by one of the staffs RDFs. I was made to sign forms that stated that I had been informed that I had this dental problem along with a proposed treatment plan. This would be a very costly process. I went to a periodontist to have the diagnosis confirmed. After a thorough examination and x-ray, I was told I did not have periodontal disease . I would not recommend Gentle Family Dentistry.

I have been a patient since high school. The staff are always wonderful, professional, and positive. The rooms are clean and bright. The staff describe the treatment and charges clearly.

Best dental practice in the Triangle. Every staff member and dentist in this practice makes you feel like you are the only patient. They have every technology no matter your need. When I had a real complicated dental issue, their expertise was really on display. Having been a long time patient for routine visits, I never appreciated how prepared they were for serious issues. You cant not love them. Lastly, the practice is run with military precision and the highest level of professionalism - all with friendliness rarely found. 6 stars if possible.

I am a 71 year old female and am experiencing the signs of aging - gums receding, etc. My visit today included the usual meticulous cleaning, and I met Dr. Hendrix for the check up. I dont think Ive EVER had such a careful, informative follow up after a regular cleaning. She spent a lot of time explaining my x-ray results and why she is referring me for follow up to an endodontist as a precaution regarding possible future problem in one of my very old root canal area. I will definitely ask for her again!

My previous experiences with this practice were fine. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was not. Mainly I was surprised to find when I checked out that I was being charged for a service the hygienist offered me but neglected to tell me there was an additional charge!? I was not aware of this at all. Thats bad customer service in my opinion.

Ive been going to Gentle Family Dentistry for several years now, and I have always had a fantastic experience there! Courtney cleaned my teeth today and did an excellent job, while also walking me through what to expect at each part of the appointment. Dr. Mulnick is also a wonderful dentist, and always does a thorough exam and goes through any treatment needs or recommendations she has for my dental care. Even with the covid pandemic still going on, I felt very safe during my visit from arrival to check-out. I would definitely recommend GFD if you are looking for a new dentist!

We have been patients here for over 15 years. They used to know us by name when we would walk in for appointments. They used to make my girls who were toddlers feel at ease and would reward them with a treasure from the treasure chest. Now move to the present. I am becoming very discouraged with this office. No longer do we seem important as patients who have been faithful to you for so many years. In the last few years we have had schedules that were not correct and has caused us frustrations, because of our girls being in college or work and they cant just have a schedule change or one that is not correct according to their appointment cards that were given to them when scheduling. I was charged for my daughters bill that she was paying for out of pocket and had been paying for with automatic withdrawal until the last payment. How does that happen? I also wanted to have just a cleaning done and was told I have to have a deep cleaning instead, because they feel my gums need it. I am unable at this time to do a deep cleaning and would like just a regular cleaning that I know my insurance will cover. And I am so frustrated that when you try to make an appointment it is over 6-8 months before you can be seen. So if you do have a cavity, you need to deal with it for over a half a year. That doesnt seem right. I wish it was back to how it use to be, where the doctors and hygienists knew you when you came in and you felt as if you truly were family. I am sorry to put this out there, but I feel as if I am not being heard when I am in the office. I am not sure what to do now as I feel I and my family are at a fork in the road.

This office really cares about your comfort and will actively work with you to create the best experience possible. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating and go out of their way to make sure insurance and finances are understood. Gentle is not just a part of the name they truly are gentle. Ive never had such a positive experience at the dentist office before, Im hooked.

Honestly haven’t had great experiences here in a long time. When I was a teen, they said my jaw and some adult teeth required surgical intervention yet when I saw an orthodontist for a second opinion he said that was not true. Dentistry isn’t typically something you want to need a second opinion on.A year ago they said I had a cracked tooth that would at some point require a crown, at the next visit they could find no record or evidence of that.I am rarely listened to when I ask for them to use gentler (ironically) techniques and my medical history is often questioned. I’ve tried every dentist and most of the hygienists at the practice hoping it was a one time thing, but I will be looking for a new practice.

They do not pressure you and they go over your treatment plan thoroughly. I honestly can’t say enough good things about them. I have referred my husband here as well. If you have dental anxiety or just need a calm, caring and patient dentist. This is the place to go.

Dr Julia Mulnick practices at Gentle Dentistry in Wake Forest, NC.She saved my life! After several failed examinations, MRI trips and false diagnosis I was told by a major NC hospital that my jaw problem was “first bite syndrome”. Live with it! Dr Mulnick had me examined by an oral surgeon who referred me to an Ear Nose and Throat oncologist at UNC hospital. He discovered cancer of the Parotid Gland. This resulted in major surgery, radiation and several months of painful recovery.He commented that had this not been discovered at this early stage, it would have spread to the lymph nodes and my death was probable.Thank you Julia! - Lloyd Nelson

Courtney is the best hygienist I have ever been to. She is so caring and thorough. Dr. Mulnick examined my mouth today and gave me a thorough cancer screening. She also noticed that my implant needed adjusting. I just know that they will professionally take care of my dental needs.

She is not only a delightful person and incredibly personable but she is also very knowledgeable and takes care to explain everything she is doing throughout the appointment. I am very disappointed I wont be able to return because my new insurance, Tricare/United Concordia, is not in network. I hope that will change in the near future!! I highly recommend this office to others!

Caring and friendly staff. I would do 5 stars but I struggled with a lot of jaw and shoulder pain for years and they failed to diagnose my TMJ issue. Once an orthopedist made a diagnosis, they were helpful with treatment.

Shannon is usually my hygienist and she listens to my concerns. Today I had Amber and she was also focused on ensuring I was comfortable, heard, and my needs were met. Great experience with Gentle Family Dentistry and Dr. Julia Mulnick. I recently changed over to them from another local dentist, and Im very happy with the switch. Extremely kind staff and very clean facilities. They also appear to be doing everything possible to keep everyone safe in the midst of COVID. In my two visits with them thus far, Ive been very impressed and felt totally comfortable. I had to have a filling and partial crown done recently, and, honestly, Ive had much more unpleasant regular cleanings at other practices than this. I highly recommend.

Our family had been coming here for several years, ever since our kids were very new to seeing the dentist. The staff has been very friendly, patient and accommodating with us and our kids. Their services have been very fair and they explain all treatments. And recently with Covid, they have taken additional precautions to make sure everyone is safe. Highly recommend.

From reception to check-in and having my daughters oral evaluation was exceptional. The receptionist was very helpful and caring. Also, my daughter expressed how kind our dental hygienist was and very thorough in cleaning her teeth. Also, I asked a special request for them to further educate and encourage my teenager in better dental care, and they were very understanding and supportive to honor my request. This was my first visit here as a new patient. When I called to make an appt, I asked the woman with whom I spoke, if this practice used an “air polisher” as a an optional method for cleaning teeth. I shared that my last dentist (who sadly recently closed her practice), did this for me. She left our conversation to go find out & came back to gladly tell me they could do this. Which is why this review is only 4 stars vs 5 stars. After going through the process of getting new x rays & other pics, we got into the talk of cleaning my teeth. I had asked the gal with whom I made my appt, to please notate that I wanted the air polisher as my method to clean my teeth. I then reminded my assigned hygienist, (who was lovely), that I wanted the air polisher. It was at this point that my hygienist told me that due to Covid they were not offering the air polisher. I shared with my new hygienist that their being able to offer the air polisher was the reason I chose to come to them as a new dental provider. While my new hygienist made a compelling case for why they were choosing not to offer this cleaning method, it would have been nice to know this prior to my arriving for my appt & before I was at the point of no return due to x rays & other scans having been completed. I had a very professional visit. But disappointed that my request & their inability to provide it, had not been communicated properly before my appt.

My daughter I felt very comfortable and welcomed. My 16 year old couldn’t stop talking about how she enjoyed the staff.
