Grandson became ill on a trip and I had to return home with him while husband continued on. Excellent customer service. When I arrived home I found that the location in my town was temporarily closed. I called the number posted on the door and nice man agreed to let me leave car parked there and arranged for it to be picked up. So grateful for this great customer service!
Tried twice to rent a van for a weekend trip. 1st time I reserved it online and the day I was supposed to leave they informed me they didn’t have a vehicle for me. 4 months later I tried again but I called the wake forest location this time. They said no problem and the vehicle will be there. I showed up and the location was closed!!! I finally got ahold of a human and they couldn’t explain why the location was closed. This is 2 trips postponed due to their incompetence. I do not recommend.
Super nice folks. Picked me up from body shop in a timely manner. Had me on the road in a very short time. Were sensitive to my needs and showed genuine concern. I highly recommend.

I am very concerned that I was told that the agent was taking pictures of the vehicle and then asked to sign the form without seeing the pics. Later when I asked for the pics to be mailed apparently I was signing off on a customer survey saying the car was clean ..which it was not, there was no damage, I was satisfied with my service ..etc. the agent asked me none of these questions .. so why am I signing off on a survey that I didn’t know existed?? I didn’t even know it was part of the photo process, Hertz this seems very illegal to misrepresent this. If you want to take pics that is fine but don’t misrepresent the process. I will never sign anything again without being presented what I am signing!!! Very upset about this.
Im here with my son who had me bring him to the rental center. Weve been waiting for a full half hour along with over right people for the rep to do errands. Unbelievable.
Our rental was scheduled for Memorial Day weekend 2016. The staff was knowledgeable and provided all of the details needed for our rental. We saved money using our AAA Membership. Im glad we purchased the extra insurance coverage which gave us piece of mind throughout our vacation. We loved the rental: 2016 Dodge Journey which was brand new. The rental performed exceptionally well on gas mileage. The vehicle was clean! The whole rental process was easy and efficient. We will definitely chose Hertz again.

Hertz has some great things like picking you up and dropping you off but the phone costumer care is bad with the long waits and the scripts they need to follow make it so you waste alot of time and get nothing accomplished.
I am Five Star Gold member. I reserved a car almost two weeks in advance for a noon pickup. I arrived at 11:45 am, waited 1 hour and then told they were out of intermediate cars. I could take a full size car that had stained seats and side panels for the same price as the intermediate. The car they offered had been refused by a customer prior to me and he received another car. My choice was the car with a stained interior or I needed to pay a surcharge for another vehicle. In my previous experience if Hertz did not have the car I reserved they offered me another vehicle at no charge. I have rented from this location multiple times in the past but I do not plan to rent again. If I could give 0 stars I would.

When I got there the young lady working was very nice. I was renting a mini van. The vehicle was very dirty. it had white stuff all over the back seat and all in the sunroof. Also the floors were dirty. I took it home to clean it and was told I would receive a discount for doing so . When I turned the car back in I didnt receive a discount and was told that she hadnt talked to the boss lady yet and I would receive something in the mail.. I havent received anything and I also vacuumed the car when I returned it.. I wouldnt recommend taking home a dirty rental car.. Let them clean it
I contacted this location for three days without anyone answering the phone. Finally, on day four, a lady answered and I asked if she could tell me what cars I could choose from, being this was through my automobile insurance. She told me she couldn’t tell me that I would have to come in. I then contacted Enterprise and they answered on the second ring and answered my questions and told me the cars available to me. I hope that this company will get better customer service.
I love Google maps! I had a reservation at Hertz and when I brought up Google Maps it showed Hertz Rental on the map with my rental time.
We rented a vehicle but it arrived to this location damaged to no fault of Hertz. Additionally, they were unable to contact me in advance to let me know despite having supplied my phone number twice during the online registration process. I didn’t find out until I arrived to collect the vehicle. They also didn’t have another vehicle readily available that would meet our travel needs.While the Regional Manager (Matt?) stood by and watched, Elizabeth took control of the situation as any professional manager would. She made it abundantly clear that she would do whatever it took to make the customer happy. She located a new vehicle for us in Durham, made arrangements to have it delivered to Wake Forest, AND came in prior to 7 A.M. the following morning - before Hertz’s official opening - so we could begin our trip on time.Hertz - If you’re actually giving customer feedback some consideration ... you need to make Elizabeth the Regional Manager while you send Matt away for customer service and management training.I rated this a 4-Star due to the circumstances but Elizabeth gets a 5-Star. Thank you, Elizabeth!!!
My son rented a truck from this location after an auto accident. He was told to bring back the rental before a certain date to only realize being charged over $500 in extra fees. He’s a college student and is very upset that this information wasn’t shared with him during the rental process. When he spoke with them afterwards, they told him he had no choice but to pay it. I really wanted him to work this out on his own but now he thinks he just failed. Come on Hertz. Save yourself some pain and go to Enterprise.
They were suppose to pick me up at a collision center. I was never picked up and left abandoned at the collision center.
Hertz does it again! A big shout out to Elizabeth S.! Due to an unexpected car repair, I needed a rental. I stopped by and Elizabeth worked for and with me to get a car. Great customer service!
Will Never Rent From Hertz AgainOn the morning of 10/31, I hit a deer with my vehicle on my way to work. After a long day of having my vehicle die on 40, waiting an hour for a tow, getting it towed to the collision center, I finally arrived at the Hertz location on Star Rd at approx 4:45pm. At 5:30pm, I was issued my first rental: a silver Kia Optima. It was just returned as I was in the waiting room, was not cleaned properly, and immediately re-rented to myself. I noticed over the next few days that the PSI in the driver side back tire was going down, but I gave it a day in case it was temperature fluctuations. By 11/03, the tire was at 28 PSI, leaked, and needed air. I returned to the location, an agent took the car back for less than 10 min, over-filled the tire to 41 PSI, lied and advised me my tire was patched, and sent me on my way. By 11/06, my tire was back down to 32 PSI and about to dip below the recommended pressure. I called corporate and filed my first formal complaint. They transferred me to Road Side Assistance, who then contact this location. I was advised there was a replacement car available and that they would hold it for me until 11/07 at 1:00pm when I could next get back there. When I returned to location at 12:50pm on 11/07, the location did not have a car for me and attempted to have me wait until 2:30/3:00pm to get one. I had my husbands surprise birthday party that week and was unable to wait two hours for a new vehicle when I was told it would be held for me. They were then able to find a Chevy Malibu that had just been released from inspection for a check engine light issue. I asked if I was going to be charged for a damage I didnt cause (I foresaw I would be where I am now almost 2 months later) and was told I shouldnt be but would have to see. On 11/08, not even 24 hours later, the engine light on the Chevy Malibu I was issued turned on. I returned to the location again. The agents there attempted to convince me there was nothing wrong with that car. I was not going to step foot in that car as I didnt feel safe considering it had just been in the shop for the same issue as well as other things I noticed with the cars performance after it turned back on. They still attempted to tell me there were no other cars to be issued. Thankfully while I was in the waiting room, another client returned a Nissan Versa. I asked if there was any issues she had experienced with her rental. When she said no, I demanded that car be issued to me. Hertz did. While I was there receiving my third vehicle, another couple was also in receiving their second after an issue with their window buttons was not resolved. The Nissan Versa lasted me until I got my new car and was returned at a different location on 11/13. I thought that would be the end of it, but it was not. I noticed on 11/28 that the $50 deposit had been replaced with a 34.32 charge. When I contacted the location, they advised it was a tire charge and informed me to call corporate. When I called corporate, they informed me a charge must be refunded by the area location. I then filed my second corporate complaint. I called the location back. They informed my an area leader must issue the refund. That locations direct manager was in a meeting. The one above that was on maternity leave. It wasnt until 2pm that afternoon that I finally received a call that they would be refunding the charge on my card and I would see it within 7-10 business days. We are now on business day 12 and still no refund. I have contacted my bank to have a dispute filed, contacted corporate again to file a third complaint, and will have to call Hertz on Star Rd AGAIN to get my money back. It has been almost two months since this ordeal started, and I just want to move on. Hopefully I will get my refund soon, no thanks to Hertz, and I wont ever have to rent or deal with them ever again. If you value your time, sanity, and mental health, do not rent from here.
Good fast service. Every time I rent a car this is my go-to place. Jonathan is always very helpful and Im always in and out quickly. This is the only place I will go to rent a car locally.
The lone staff member was professional and friendly! The hours of operation were thru 12 noon on Saturdays. The shift is covered by 1 person which was not enough because it was a very busy 1 hour for him and long for me when I arrived at 11 am. I was disappointed with the condition of the Nissan Sentra. The interior reeked of a substance other than cigarettes. There was animal hair and the seats appeared soiled/stained inside of vehicle. I really dont want to know what it was. It was by far the grossest rental Ive ever been in. While driving on a very rainy downpour day, the low tire pressure indicator came on. I pulled over to inspect it and tires looked fine. I monitored the tire situation over weekend because the low pressure light kept coming on/off. Before I traveled to Charlotte to buy a new car on Monday, I went to Sheetz to check air pressure since my commute was going to be 2.5 hrs long on busy highways. The front tires were low and I put the air in them. I dont blame the lone staff member 100% because he was clearly overwhelmed and didnt have time to fully inspect the vehicle in the downpour and with a lot of customers waiting for him back in the cramped office. I work third shift and I didnt have time to turn around to exchange rental. The rental still had a horrible smell but it got the job done! However, it should be detailed and freed of that smell, if they continue to keep it in circulation. When you know better, hopefully you do better.

Only one employee! She was extremely overworked! I called 15 times that morning and there was no answer. I called the corporate office and they put in a request for her to call me. When she called me, she told me she had plenty of cars. I got there 10 minutes later and there was 1 car left. I was given the last car on the lot and the bumper wasnt fully attached and was flapping in the wind. I tried calling her on my way home, but go figure, no answer.

Hertz Wake Forest has always had Mediocre car selection, not the best prices even with my #1 Gold card, and very marginal customer service. Not really pleased and have started using Enterprise just a few blocks away.
This place is slow as heck. The pickup process took 45 mins and I was the only one waiting. The drop off process took over 30 mins and, once again, I was the only one waiting.
Horrible experience their card reader machine was not working properly the two days that I was there I went to enterprise instead and had a car within 20 minutes if you live in the Wake Forest area I would highly recommend enterprise instead of hertz!!!!

Had a 4pm reservation that was made 10 days ago and Ive been sitting here for 45 minutes (currently 4:45), waiting on them to bring a van from RDU Location. Totally UNACCEPTABLE!
