This was our son’s first “real” haircut and I was nervous how it would go. But everyone there was amazing! They were so kind and fun and helpful! The atmosphere was so fun and I could not believe my almost 2 year old was having such a good time he sat still without any issues. Love that they are making this a whole family place too!This new owner and team are doing a great job. We will all be back for haircuts for everyone sure! Thank you so much!!

Its a cute little salon, a lot like JJs Kids Cuts in Raleigh. My son got the best haircut hes had in his two years here on Earth, and got a free balloon at the end.

Tonya was super accommodating, friendly and professional. She did a wonderful job on my 4 year old son. He enjoyed the amenities and it made the experience so much easier. I will definitely go back and bring my daughter as well. 👍👍

First time for my 3 year old granddaughter for a trim, git ger nails done and she loved it and I was very pleased with Carol.My granddaughter felt comfortable and we left very happy with the results.

I brought both of my kids here today and we had a wonderful experience with Lori! My daughter does well getting her haircut. So I wasn’t worried about her. Her hair came out wonderful! My son gets very nervous. Sometimes noises like a hairdryer or clippers bother him. Lori was so kind and patient with him. He sat on my lap and she worked her magic. His hair came out great too! We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Tonya is the kindest person. She was wonderful with my son who just had a terrible haircut experience thanks to misaligned clippers at home. I will never cut my sons hair again now that I found this place. Tonya has excellent stylist skills. The place of business is clean and fun and family friendly. I wish Sharkeys could be everywhere for everyone to bring their families. Booking is easy on their website.

Tried booking an appointment online but the website doesnt work and just says that every time slot is unavailable even after telling you the available time slots which I chose from. Then they dont have an up to date number on their website, it says invalid number when you try to call and doesnt even dial. Then the Google number is completely different from the website but after ringing for a minute it says the number cant accept calls. So I guess I dont really know how they are because its literally impossible to book an appointment. Not worth the time and effort just going to go somewhere else, you should really fix this issue

We had a very positive experience at Sharkeys getting my 2 year old son a haircut. He is usually timid going to get his haircut but did great thanks to Tonya and two other ladies on staff at the time who were energetic, pleasant and extremely patient. I wasnt sure what to expect based on reviews, but it appears Sharkeys is under new management and I can only say good things about the service, atmosphere and people that took care of us today.

It was time to get my 3 year old her first hair cut. They were so good to us there and didn’t mind her rambunctious energy.... even after she accidentally dropped a nail polish bottle and broke it. My daughter loves it there and did not want to leave when it was time to go.

I want to give a shout out to Laurie/Mgr at Sharkeys of Wake Forest. They are under new ownership & management. I took my 2yr old grandson Fri eve for a haircut & Laurie was fantastic with my grandson. She put him at ease with a balloon and lollipop before he got in the Lightning McQeen seat. She was very patient and good with him - he doesnt like getting a haircut. This was the 1st time I didnt have to beg, plead, bribe, get sprayed with water bottle, to convince him to get his haircut! He sat still and it was AWESOME! Great haircut! Thank you Laurie. We will see you again in a couple months.

I usually have a great experience here, and Im so glad this location was able to reopen, but I went in last weekend and the stylist did the exact opposite of what I asked her to do for part of my sons hair, so not 100% satisfied.

Beware of using their online appointment scheduler. I made an appointment for 10:40, showed up 5 mins early and was told that I barely missed the 5 minute grace period. When I pointed out that I was in fact early by showing her my confirmation email (which says 7 minute grace period by the way) the receptionist told me her system said 10:30 and that I should talk to the owner if I had issues with the online scheduler. Lovely customer service. The hair dresser then proceeded to give my 3 year old a hair cut and remained completely expressionless the whole time and was visibly irritated when he moved around during the cut (he’s 3 years old). It became clear that she was taking her frustration with me out on my toddler. Very unprofessional, will not be returning.UPDATE:After speaking to the owner (who was very nice and apologetic) and being told I would receive a free cut if I gave them another chance, I reluctantly took my son back here for another cut in July. He had a different stylist who was much more personable; however, see attached photos of what my sons hair looked like after his cut. To top it all off, the receptionist had no idea what I was talking about when I mentioned this visit should be free so I had to pay for this atrocious hair cut. Unfortunately, his hair was styled in a way that I could not see how bad it was before I left. I do not recommend this place and we will not be back.

My grandson did NOT want a haircut. He saw the stuffed shark outside,troubles were over. He loved the vehicles, they turn on his favorite show. He was zoned in. Thank you for a great haircut experience.

Pretty expensive for a kids barber husband was in Shock that it was 30$ would of been more if i didnt ask for a discount. I did leave $10 tip but not worth it. I know they give incentives for kids but they arent worth that price of a haircut.

We are so happy that Sharkeys of Wake Forest is back open. My son loved going there before COVID and was so excited to return. Areli was our stylist today and she did a wonderful job on his hair. She was quick and patient. She also made sure to ask my preference and opinion as she cut his hair.

Ive taken my two young boys to Sharkeys for their last two haircuts. They LOVE going here. They can play video games and relax while the hairstylist works. The staff is friendly and great with children. I highly recommend.

I brought my kids to Sharkey’s for haircuts. It was a great experience! I made appointments and we didn’t have to wait at all. I highly recommend making an online appointment. The haircut price for the girls included a shampoo, cut, nail polish(!), and braid. The nail polish was such a bonus and my younger daughter loved it! The staff was very friendly. And the stylist did a great job with their haircuts. This shop is a wonderful addition to Wake Forest!

Unfriendly reception. While the place looks inviting from the outside, the atmosphere inside is tense and not very welcoming. the cut was poor and overpriced, not to mention they want to nickle and dime every minute.

When I first visited, I was a walk in and had a great experience. Last weekend my husband walked in and was told that he must schedule an appointment. Fine, except when I called (during regular hours, on three separate occasions), no one answered and there was no voicemail. Now the website is down. So how do I make an appointment? I wish staffing was better.Edit: Thanks for your reply! When my husband walked in, he was told they were too short-staffed to accept a walk-in (understandable), and the staff member offered to schedule for the next day before it, too, was overbooked. He walked out. My frustration stems from the lack of voicemail.Edit 2: Just called and got an appointment, thanks!

If I could give them no stars I would. If you make an appointment, be warned that they have a 5 minute late policy. If youre 3 minutes late they will give you a hard time. They dont accept walk-ins either. Its extremely difficult to get your kids haircut here.

We have had a great experience for our boys and the cuts have been well done.

We love coming here to our 8yr old son who has Autism. The staff does a great job on keeping him calm and are very patient with him when he start to get work up.

Shout out to Sharkeys for fixing my sons hair. Another place messed it up pretty bad and they made it look a lot better. Definitely will be be back. Thanks again Ladies.

-Not very friendly, especially for a kids’ place.-I came 10min before my appointment and they took us back right away. As the stylist was detangling my daughter’s hair, the front desk employee approached me and proceeded to tell me that if the appointment goes beyond the allotted time that they will charge me extra. First of all, we were early which she proceeded to correct me. Second of all, it’s a simple wash and trim. Also, she skipped shampooing and went straight to conditioning and combing her hair. How about wash (shampoo), condition and then then brush her hair at the chair. Needless to say, we left before she could even wash the conditioner off. Such a cold place for a children’s salon.-We went immediately to The Uncuttery, in Rolesville, and we were IN and OUT in less than 25min.No wonder this place is always empty! I should have listened to the other reviews.

My wife has been here several times with three of my boys but we will not be coming back. Was a few minutes late and would not be seen but the place was EMPTY. I actually had two of my sons but the online appointment would only let me book one appointment and the other slots kept saying “Error, please try again later.” Was later told that’s because everything else for the day is booked. Cashier/Stylist was slightly rude and lacked any empathy. She told me I was late and I said yeah a few minutes and her reply was “No, not a few minutes you’re 8 minutes late.” Which by that time obviously a few minutes had gone by. Went to the nearby SportClips without an appointment and was in and out very quickly with my two kids. Needless to say, I walked by the shop afterwards to get ice cream and it was still empty. After ice cream walked by once more to the car and guess what? EMPTY. I get it, I was late (6-7 min), but not like the place was booming. My wife called later and was told their was a cancellation but at that point I was already getting the boys’ hair cut at SportClips. Will not be returning with any of my FOUR boys.
