These guys were amazing and fast. Staff was incredibly friendly! My pc was damaged by a power surge. Glen with one “N” was able to identify and fix it fast and walked me through everything he was doing to help me understand what went wrong and gave me recommendations on how to prevent it in the future. The owner also introduced himself and was very friendly. I paid a little more than they asked because they deserved it. I will take any electronics of mine that breaks to them in the future!

I went in with an idea for what kind of build I wanted, but not much knowledge on the best products. Aldo was able to help with what I would need. He made the whole process a breeze. Between the time of me initially coming in and him finishing the build it had taken less than a week. He did an amazing job, and I will recommend him to all of my friends and family.

Went in there looking to upgrade my pc but didn’t know what I wanted to do exactly. Aldo was very helpful and found the reason my pc was being slow. He knew what upgrades I needed, so I went to Best Buy, got the parts. Even did a little business with him and got him a 3rd gen ryzen processor, in exchange he gave me cash and since my cpu fan was trash he gave me the one that came with the 3rd gen. And I had bought an extra ssd which was the wrong one for my motherboard. So he swapped out my ssd for the bigger one, since I couldn’t use the old ssd Aldo gave me an extra 1TB hard drive. While I was there I didn’t really feel like a customer. And ya know I always support a local small business. Especially since he’s the only one doing the handy man work. After having been ghosted by another company I sought anothers assistance. He replied quite quickly, was able to come out the day of and inside of 2 hours (had some part changes and hardware difficulties with diagnosing the core problem, a lot of it to do with the first company) the PC is booting up. It is currently powered up and working.Highly recommend if you need someone out that will get it done and not break your bank doing it.

Also, there is no hidden fees.I went to get my computer screen fixed and three different shops quoted me between $120-150. Aldo at Hardware Junky quickly identified the issue and when he found that it was an easy fix he quickly fixed it and charged me only $25! (He had every opportunity to trick me and charge me more but he didnt!) In contrast, a store that I had my computer fixed previously, charged me multiple hidden fees!! (Just to identify the issue cost me money!!).(2) Professionality: Aldo at Hardware Junky went above and beyond what I asked. Not only did he fix my computer screen, but he took the time to clean my computer, dust out the keyboards, open the bottom to clean out the computer fan, and tightened loose screws!! His professional service goes above and beyond the service I received from another local repair shop in Waco where I got the bare minimum service.Also, I called three different local shops to get a quote on how much it will cost to fix my computer. However, only once store had the courtesy thanked me for my business, this was Aldo of Hardware Junky. *Also other shops sounded like a computer or a zombie.(3) Local: Aldo retains an old town/local feel. He is very personable and friendly and would take time to talk to and get to know his customer. While his shop may not look pristine compared to an AppleStore, the relation I built with Aldo will make me keep returning to his store.

The service beats any computer repair company I have ever used in the past. So glad I discovered Hardware Junky! Aldo did a fantastic job. I thought my computer was dead and all my files were gone when it crashed. Aldo recovered all my files, repaired my computer and reinstalled the files. Then he sat with me at time of pick up to reinstall all my programs and set up my 5 email accounts. When he was finished, I had my computer back with everything I had before the crash. Aldo upgraded my computer to keep this from happening again. The price was fair and reasonable. The service was quick. Aldo is friendly, patient, and very informative. I took my brand new HP laptop to Aldo at Hardware Junky after a crash that was initially misdiagnosed by an IT tech at my place of employment as a hard drive failure. My initial hope was simply that Aldo would be able to retrieve all my data from what I believed to be a bad drive. Due to the volume of jobs he was working on, Aldo got to my machine right at the end of his shops normal hours of operation for the day, and called me after a quick diagnostic to tell me that in fact the problem was not with the hard drive at all, but that the computer was simply failing to detect the hard drive for some reason. His initial opinion at that point was that I would likely need to file a warranty claim to attempt to get the machine replaced. Despite the fact that he should have been closing up shop for the day, he invited me to go ahead and come to the store with an external drive so that he could copy over my files for me, as he was leaving town the next morning. After I arrived and he had backed up my data, he asked whether I would mind him experimenting a bit further to see whether he could resolve the issue for me. He stayed and worked on my laptop for almost two more hours into the late evening, and was ultimately able to identify the problem as merely an error stemming from an aborted BIOS update that had prevented the machine from detecting the hard drive. He was then able to resolve the issue and get the computer working like new, with no new parts or frustrating warranty claims required. To top it off, he charged me an extremely reasonable fee for his services, particularly considering the fact that he had stayed around long after closing time to make sure I had a working laptop before he left town. I could not have been more pleased with my overall experience due to Aldos evident expertise, generosity, and commitment to seeing the job through to the end. This is the only place in Waco I will be taking my devices in the future.

I came to Waco with a computer that needed fixing. I called and I instantly received an appointment time that day (which was impossible at the Apple store). I got there and gave him my computer to look at and expected to be sent out to return later but Aldo Jefferson took the time to explain what was wrong and how to fix it.
