Ive been seeing Kendyl at Amici Style since 2013 for my highlights, balayage and haircuts and I will never go anywhere else! Everyone at the salon is like family and they all work together to make sure you get the services you need and the look you want. The best hair salon experience Ive ever had and also the best haircut Ive gotten by far! I was cut and styled by Sara, shes extremely personable and made it a very fun experience. It is a very welcoming environment and I got a haircut even better than how I had imagined it before I came in. Would definitely recommend!

I was cut and styled by Casey and she was so awesome!! She’s so cool and nice. My hair is really long and boring and she brought it to life. I went in with some random ideas and she made them make sense and my hair looks so good! I love it! She also gave me tips on styling my hair so I can try to do it myself. I never get my haircut because I’m scared but I definitely trust her and will be going back.

I have androgenic alopecia and my hair has been thinning badly. I thought I would try one last haircut before I shaved it and bought a wig. Curtis is a miracle worker! I looked like I had more hair leaving than when I came in. He took the time to consult with me about my hair and explained what products would work best for my hair. Went here for the first time today and I was extremely pleased. Everyone in the salon was friendly and welcoming, all wearing masks/ taking covid precautions seriously. Ronnie cut my hair- he is great! Just moved back to VA- he actually worked at this salon 10 years ago, before he moved, and is back! I am very happy with my haircut and will be back there soon! I needed something a bit different and I have several friends that go to Amici. They all have beautiful hair. I decided to give it a go and I am very glad that I did. From the moment that I walked in, I was treated wonderfully. April greeted me with a smile and kind words. I immediately felt at home. Curtis consultation with me was extremely thorough and he listened to what I had to say. I have never had a hair stylist take the time that he did with me. He made wonderful suggestions, he explained how my hair grows and what my natural part is. He showed me different ways to style my hair and did a fabulous job cutting and styling it. I am very happy and will definitely return.

I recently had my hair cut by Sara and it was such a great experience. I have had many bad experiences with other hair salons in the past, so I made sure to look up reviews and decided to make an appointment with her. Everyone at the salon was very friendly and made me feel welcome. Sara asked a lot of questions to get to know my past hair experiences and habits. She provided me with a lot of great hair tips for now and even how to achieve the look I want for an event I have coming up. I am in love with the way she cut my hair, even two weeks after the fact, which never happens. During my appointment, the owner even introduced himself, which I thought was very nice that he took the time to do that. I was also offered tea/coffee/water and it almost felt like a spa experience. I was very impressed with the attention to detail here. I will definitely be back!

Sara was amazing!! She definitely exceeded my expectations and I absolutely love my new haircut. She took the time to get to understand what I wanted and thoroughly explained everything she was going to do before doing so, which I’m glad she did because I was a little nervous since I haven’t had a haircut in years. Not only do I have a great cut but it is a style that is easy for me to maintain. Best! salon! ever! i came in with badly bleached hair (that i regrettably did myself), my ends were fried, brittle, and my hair was atleast 4 different colors. Chris and Casey consulted together to figure out what to do. Casey made the decision to give me a shoulder to neck bob haircut to get rid of most of the dead hair with a mahogany/maroon color dye to go with fall colors. needless to say, she did an absolutely AMAZING job on me. I came out with softer and more beautiful hair. this is definitely going to be my go-to salon from here on out. no more home styling for this gal!

Sara has done my hair twice now. The first time I went only for a cut and loved it! The prices are great and the service is amazing. Sara sat down and asked me questions about my hair before getting started and gave me a better understanding of my hair. I recently had my hair cut at another salon and I made a major change going from shoulder length hair to a pixie cut. Long story short I was not happy with my hair at all. I called amici on a Thursday afternoon and Curtis answered. I briefly explained what was going on and asked if there was anyone there that could help me. He set me up with a consultation with him for that Saturday. I met with him and he was amazing. Before he did anything to my hair he educated me about my hair and how it grows and what works and what doesn’t. He cut my hair and let me tell you, it literally transformed. I live in Germany and was back in Virginia Beach for a conference in May. I needed a cut and highlight really bad and looked up places in VA Beach. I found Amici online, they had good reviews so I booked an appointment. I was pretty nervous going to someone new for a highlight but I really needed it done before going back to Germany. Turned out to be a wonderful experience with a great cut, color and style. The staff was very friendly and my stylist (actually the owner) spent 20 minutes before the appointment asking me questions about my hair essentially getting to know it. She was So friendly, made me feel welcome, offered drinks and was an excellent stylist. FINALLY!!After relocating to Hampton Roads about a year ago, and having to leave behind my favorite salon in Wisconsin (Leissas Hair Studio & Day Spa)… I tried 5 other salons here in the area. I was less than happy, to the point that I considered having my Husband cut my hair from here on out. Fortunately, my best friend recommended that I give Amici a try; and I’m so happy I did. Amici Style has a team of dedicated stylist that know how important a great haircut is. They really care about how you look and listen to you. April gave me a fantastic cut, took time to listen to me when we talked about the look I wanted, and made sure we were both on the same page throughout the entire hair cut experience. I’m sure any of the stylists there would be great, but of course I would highly recommend her!!! Also, their product line is amazing! My favorites are the ‘Elixir 11’ and, their one of a kind, ‘Dry Texturizing Spray’. If they ever stop selling either one of these…. I’m putting a paper bag over my head when I have to go to work. Just found this gem for a hair salon in Virginia Beach. I had no idea that a world wide distinguished salon and hair designer has been in our community for over 30 years. Great, open, and inviting feel with high and uncluttered space rather versus the run-of-the-mill beauty salon look. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I had delicious coffee in my hand the moment I walked in and a great new look when I left with a smile on my face. This hair salon is an incredible find and my wife loves her new hair stylist. Ask for Chelsea! Awesome, high end salon with talented stylists. I am super picky about who does my hair which is really thick and hard to deal with. So I was nervous to move here and find someone new to do my hair. I had Chelsea do a cut and highlights and she did amazing! She always has great ideas for a new cut and color when I dont know exactly what I want and also did an awesome job when I knew exactly what I wanted and told her. I have been having her do my hair for a few years now and I recommend her and Amici Style to all of my friends.

Finding a new stylist I can trust is one of the scariest parts of moving. Kendyl became my new favorite stylist after my first visit. My daughter scheduled an appointment the day before I had brain surgery. Curtis and she decided on the best style considering the expected location of my incision. I never felt more beautiful as I did that day, in spite of not knowing how I would come out of the surgery. I am blessed to share my tumor was benign, completely contained and was removed. My incision followed my hairline, so no shaved head. Curtis and Kendyl have been styling my hair since.

I went in there to get a shampoo and blow-dry and they said it would be $30but I just didnt want to pay $30 it is probably reasonable price because youre also being charged for the products they put on your hair with shampoo and conditioner in the water and the labor so I dont really think its their fault I should give them probablya five because the lady was very nice and they open the door for me Im in a wheelchair so I give them a five.

She does a great job with highlights by making it really blend in with my natural color. I love the salon and the set up. The owner introduced me to their app which has coupons and at times scratch off discounts. Great Oribe and BB products ....especially the Apres Beach Spray. Ill keep going back as long as I am in the area.

Kendall is fabulous. I have been coloring my hair since I was a teenager. And doing foil/highlights since my early 20s Where ever I have lived (Los Angelos, D.C, Northern VA) I have made it a pint to immediately find a good colorist and car mechanic. ( Hmmmm I wonder if Kendall works on cars ) The bottom line is, I have a PHD in hair color and it is with confidence I can say Kendall is as good as it gets.

Absolutely phenomenal! Thankfully I called Amici Style Salon and asked if they could do anything about this big knot that I had on the back of my head. It seemed like a dog matt and felt like it would NEVER come out. I personally have a decent amount of hair and was shocked when one of my family members said that I may need to get my hair cut! I did not need an appointment and was told just to walk in and see what they could do. The fact that they offered to take the knot out for free was amazing! Since I loved their attitude and their love for hair, I decided to get an affordable trim after all the damage I put into trying to get the knot out myself. Afterwards, I fell in love with Bumble and Bumble products and the Salon itself. Hopefully one day I will be able to come back and have another great experience.

Atmosphere was great but the owner was kinda short.. Thats OK though. Amici gave me an appt after another salon cancelled for a regular customer. (My neighbor referred me to this salon) I explained that Im new to the area and I really wanted my hair done because my husband and I had a date last night. It took over three hours for low lights and highlights, needless to say I paid 206 for something I hate! It is the complete opposite from what I asked for, I even showed Sara pictures of what I wanted! I wish I would have wore my glasses so I would have been able to see how bad it truly is. The blonde thats over the brown looks grey.. They blonde was supposed to be dominant and the darker color on the bottom there is no blonde in my hair and there was before I went in to this salon. I have a haircut appt on Tuesday...yall can cancel that I will not step foot in there again!JL
