Glad I saw your sign while driving by. My 2009 Camry needed a decent amount of work done. Spark plugs, right axle, brake fluid and wheels alignment. Saw they had a 10% discount for Healthcare workers got me interested. Looked up Elmhurst auto care online and requested a quote. Ed gave me several quotes very quickly for the work my Camry needed. I dropped off my Camry at 8 am and the extensive work was done by 2 pm. Ed was professional and courteous and really enjoyed Elmhurst Auto Care. I would easily recommend Elmhurst Auto Care and will be returning in the future.

Great team and Great experience!Ed is incredibly professional and took care of us quickly to get us back on the road. He had a tow truck service hall our company van back to his shop with in minutes of our phone conversation. He then diagnosed and replaced a starter motor to get us up and running. I contacted Elmhurst Auto Care for a pre-purchase inspection on a used car. I was coming from out of state. Not only was the price extremely reasonable, but communication was excellent and Ed went above and beyond to collect the car from the dealership. Then he called me on the phone and walked me through everything on the report, which he also emailed to me.Right after I purchased the car a few days later, they changed a bad serpentine belt and balanced the tires. In and out in 45 minutes! Friendly, professional, thorough, and accommodating! Highly recommend.

These guys totally deserve their 5-star rating! I recently had Elmhurst Auto Care do a pre-purchase inspection on a car from a local used car lot. It seemed like a good deal on paper for the price and mileage, and had a clean Carfax, too. They found that, at a minimum, Id need to spend at least $1500 to replace the tires and brakes, and it had a TON of other issues besides that. The full estimate to fix all the immediate issues they found with the car came to an eye-popping $2800!They also found some weird discrepancies with the cars on-board diagnostics that couldve easily led to thousands more on top of that! The pre-purchase inspection cost me $90, an outright BARGAIN compared to the financial disaster I wouldve had on my hands if Id actually bought the car! Huge thanks to Elmhurst Auto Care for helping me avoid that nightmare!

Needed an oil change and to have my car just looked over for a wellness check of sorts since moving to the area. Received thorough and honest feedback about my vehicle. I was given a few estimates for repairs that they recommended and how to save money on those repairs. The waiting area was very nice as well even though they did everything in a very reasonable amount of time so I did not have to stay long. Only good things to say!

We came here for a used car evaluation from a local car dealer who wanted us to stay within a certain time limit and radius. Being from the north burbs we didnt know this shop, so all we could go by were the good reviews. Completely well-deserved! Based on the test drive and a close look at the interior Ed saw some red flags that he talked to us about before he put the car in the air, to save us the cost of inspection. Wed have gladly paid for the time he devoted but he wouldnt take anything for his expert opinion. If we end up buying around here we will not do so unless they look at it!

I emailed Elmhurst Auto Care on a Sunday and asked if they could safety check a vehicle before driving it 120 miles home the following Wednesday. Instead of waiting till Monday to respond, Ed replied to me right away, and graciously agreed to the date and time that was best for me. When I got there on Wednesday, he was prepared for my arrival, promptly assessed the road-worthiness of the vehicle, explained every concern thoroughly, and performed several small repairs that made the car safer to drive, and eliminated the risk of much larger repair bills down the road. I will never hesitate to buy another car in the Chicago area, knowing Elmhurst Auto Care is there to look out for me. Eds the man.

I took my car into Elmhurst Auto Care because I was hearing some noise from the transmission. Its a 2008 Nissan Altima with the CVT transmission...I just bought it used three months ago. Ed and his mechanics determined it needed to be rebuilt based on the grinding noises. Ed went above and beyond by calling a couple different Nissan dealerships as well as Nissan USA to see if the recall warranty for the trans problems could be extended for me...it expired about a year ago. There was no reason for Ed to do this as he wouldnt of made anything on it, but he called anyway. That shows me integrity. Unfortunately for me the dealerships and Nissan wouldnt do anything. Fortunately for me Ed took excellent care of me. Even offering me a free loaner car while my transmission was being rebuilt. Ed also explained in detail the main problem with the trans and well as a secondary problem. Ed even called/shopped a couple transmission shops (competition) to compare costs. Ed gave me the best price including a 24 mo/24,000 miles warranty on the rebuilt trans. I almost forgot to mention the communication, Ed kept me up to date with everything that was going on...he called me, I didnt have to call him. Hard to find that kind of service these days. I know I will be going back to Elmhurst Auto Care with all my other cars. Thanks to Ed and his Team.

EAC is fantastic! I have been bringing my high-mileage car there for the last 18 months for general maintenance, oil changes and repairs ever since they were able to properly diagnose and repair an issue that 3 other shops (including a dealership) couldn’t. Pricing is fair and transparent, service is exceptional and my car is usually ready the same day. Ed always gives me options and honest recommendations and won’t let me waste money on repairs he thinks are unnecessary. What a breath of fresh air! I have since referred friends and family and they’ve had nothing but praise for EAC too.

Great place to go. Take all my cars there and my 3 sons and the daughters car also. Trust them a lot. They know their business very well.I can always get an appt. right away. I emailed them on the weekend when they are closed and Ed got back to me the same day. What car place does that, this place does. Took my sons car there Monday afternoon with battery troubles and got a call Tuesday morning saying it needed a new battery, other one was bad again . They changed it under warranty and we were on our way. Nice job guys.

Amazing service. I pulled into this shop after finding it on Google, and Im glad I did. I thought I had over filled my transmission fluid, causing delayed engagement and my clutch to burn. I originally asked them to drain a quart, which they offered to do for free (unheard of). The technician alerted me that I was actually really low. Not having my wallet on me, I told him Id have to go home then to the store to purchase some. Knowing the damage this could further cause to my transmission, he topped me of with fluid free of charge, as well as topping off my power steering fluid. This simple action could have saved me thousands in repairs. Im forever grateful to elmhurst auto clinic and they have no doubt earned my future business. Thanks guys

I recently moved to the area and needed some work on my (old) car but wanted honest work, being a young girl that doesn’t know much about cars. Fantastic car shop! Went in for a sudden oil leak. Had gotten my oil changed a couple weeks prior and noticed a 3 drop leak. I assumed it had something to do with the oil change, but looked everywhere and saw nothing... Oddly, it was the oil plug which was not in place, and would have continued to leak and could have gotten jarred out and I would have needed a new engine! So frustrating, seriously, isn’t that the 1 thing you have to remember to do an oil change, yikes!! Anyhow, very frustrating, happy I brought it in! Ed found it and took pictures for me to show the incompetents!!! No charge. Problem solved!!! Ed develops a relationship with his clients, and doesn’t over charge!!

Don’t go here! They will rip you off! Charged me $976 in parts for 2 wheel hubs that are at most $400 at the highest for any pair on line. Then, 7.5 hours to replace the front wheel bearings on an 06 ram? Place sucks and will try to rip you off. Don’t go hear. Very dishonest!

I found this establishment by searching on google for auto repair in my area. The reviews were fantastic! So, I decided to go there to get my brakes done. They went beyond my expectations and were so wonderful. Even tooked me back and forth to my house while it was being repaired. They even took my vehicle to have its emission test completed and it passed. I would recommend everyone to go there for quality work and friendly service.

This place is awesome! Especially Ed. He was professional and prompt. The prices are very reasonable. My car broke down about ten miles from the shop due to a part malfunction. Though it was nobodys fault, Elmhurst Auto Care paid to have my car towed back to the shop. Furthermore, they charged me nothing additional and had it fixed the next day. When I asked about buying an extra fuse in case of emergency, they just threw it in, on the house. While Ill pray itll be a while before my car needs any additional repairs, I would recommend this place any time.Check em out!

I recently took my Ford F150 over to Elmhurst Auto Care to diagnose a ticking noise in the engine. Ed and Brad were able to diagnose the problem and preform the needed repair in a timely manner. Top notch service at Elmhurst Auto Care! I had an issue with my battery so I took my car into the shop first thing in the morning. I work in the city and Ed offered to drive me to the Elmhurst train station and also pick me up at the end of the day. Rather than having to spend money on Uber rides, or potentially miss a day of work, my day was hardly interrupted.As for the repair itself, I was very concerned it was an issue with my alternator. Since I dont know much about cars, Ed could have suggested any repairs and I would have done them. However, he was very honest and concluded that it was just an old battery, which was a cheap fix.Overall, I HIGHLY recommend Elmhurst Auto Care. If nothing else, I KNOW you will get great, friendly service.

I have had many great experiences with Ed and Brad at Elmhurst Auto as do all of the people I have referred to Elmhurst Auto Care...they are truly a rare and welcomed find. One incident prior to the discovery of Elmhurst Auto Care was an engine light on my Mercedes I went to what will remain as an unnamed repair shop and after the diagnostic test it was found to be a bad coil. They replaced the coil and I paid the bill and as I drove off the engine light reappeared. I went back to the shop and they did another diagnostic and said I would need an approximately $900.00 air pump. I asked if I drove the car would it damage it they said no. I met Ed from a business networking group that I belonged to and decided to call him. He said bring it in...his diagnostic I believe led to something in the air system and lo and behold the previous shop did not hook up the air hose when they replaced the coil. To make matters better Ed said there will be no charge for the service...savings $900.00 and I am a customer for life.
