My daughter has struggled since 1st grade in reading. She is now in 2nd and Sylvan has helped boost her confidence. She has fun at tutoring making her least favorite thing to do/learn not so bad. I am very pleased!

As an educator, I value great teachers. The two tutors that have worked with my stepson have been fabulous. Not only have they been able to keep him learning and catching up during the pandemic, but he never complains going to tutoring. We have had only great experiences!

Sylvan Learning has helped my son with math and language arts. His school grades has improved since he started this program as well as his attitude towards school.

My son, Marcus, had a really hard time in the spring going from in person to remote learning. Being in kindergarten, in person learning is crucial to build a foundation of literacy and math skills. Also, during this time he was diagnosed with ADHD, which makes learning and sitting still a challenge. Before school started in the fall, I started researching locations offering tutoring to help get him up to grade level. Ive heard good things about Sylvan and felt comfortable signing him up.Chhaya was wonderful in helping setting up an evaluation to determine what his needs were. After the evaluation, we went over his results via zoom and laid out a plan.We decided in person learning would be best for Marcus.. Veena has been Marcuss tutor since we started in the fall. She has been amazing getting Marcus to complete the lessons and even come out of his shell. He is doing really while and even surprised me with some of his reading which makes mr really happy. Veena is patient and kind. She tries to get Marcus figure out the answer to her question.Julie has been great communicating any changes needed in scheduling like moving to a remote session when the weather is bad.I would highly recommend Sylvan Vernon Hills to anyone looking to help children that are struggling or those that are hungry to get ahead.
