Recently i was attacked by a family member multple times over a two day period. I had a few friends tell me to contact council for the homeless. I called this morning and was rudely told that because i havent had to sleep outside or in my car they cant help me. I am homeless with a 5 year old child who was lucky enough to have a friend let me stay until i can get into a shelter and now i cant even get into a shelter.

This place is the single most life changing entity in my life. If you actually want to change and can give these people the Trust to have the empathy and care to help you then this is your best chance.

Theyre helping me get a home as we speak.Since I lost my job because of my leg as of May 20th, Thursday, 2021; I didnt get to setup my direct deposit. The owner gave something and sent me on my way. Because of this job, Five corners 711 on Covington road, theres a good chance I dont have a room at share House; solely because of this job. They also helping with something that means, well, more than a home to me. Its my passion. Thank you for helping me. Shalom

They do their best to help those who are open to their help. Their staff is for the most part exceptionally compassionate and caring about you and your situation. ESPECIALLY ALLEY!!! Very helpful, offering different resources to the homeless community and others that are in need of assistance in our community

In the past, they were extremely helpful with being able to supply essential items I needed to survive during winter time on the streets. Food, clothes, camping gear. I appreciate their existence and assistance.

I had been homeless for 5 yrs. Within seeing these beautiful people, I had a home within 5 mos. Im native Oregonian, been on their list for 5 yrs and they did nothing to help. Im not an illegal immigrant which is who they would rather help.

Very amazing people that really do care its not just a paycheck to them.

Council for the homeless is a great organization they do a lot of food in our area they offer access to services such as shelters rental assistance deposits and application fees through various programs if youre looking for help with housing this is a great place to stop by or just go ahead and call the housing hotline they will try to help you its not a right now thing or next day thing in most cases but they will do their best to try to get you some help get you help

I was homeless for over a year and the counsel for the homeless helped me get into my apartment and now Im finally able to say Ive got a home and i can finally have my daughter on weekends which is awsome... i cant thank them enough

People are treated with respect, everything is in confidence, the reception area is clean and friendly. When you are down the last thing you need is a rude person, on the day I visited, it was extremely busy, and we were still made comfortable, I hope other agencies learn from them

I was turned down for a housing assessment after being told that assessments were done between 9 and 3 it was about 2:15 when I showed up and was told that there was not enough time to do a housing assessment I explain to them that I work the rest of the week and would be able to come in until the next Monday but was still turned away
