Ms. Amber is truly a professional in her field. I have had acne for YEARS and have tried it all; harsh drying creams, homemade creams/remedies (coconut oil, anyone?), high-end products, drugstore products and of course, seeing a dermatologist (I could go on and on). Completely hopeless, I began my last search for someone who was willing to help me with my skin, someone to be on my team. Its been a few years now and Id say weve been a great team ever since. I have never met anyone more knowledgable in skin care and anyone more involved in the entire process. I have been seeing Amber along with my two teenage daughters for a couple of years now. Amber is an absolute gem and we feel incredible lucky to have found her. We originally went to help deal with my oldest daughters acne but then I discovered how knowledgeable she is about aging skin skin. Since I was up in the SW Washington area I had 2 options when it came to maintaining my waxing regiment - 1. shave (no way!) or 2. find a new person to do my waxing. If it werent for the great reviews her customers took the time to write, I would have never found Amber.Although I was used to one particular wax, she was very knowledgeable about the different waxes she uses on different areas, usually dependent on sensitive prone areas. Naturally, there may be a little timidness when going to a new aesthetician, but Amber is very professional and will address any questions or concerns about your visit. She made me feel comfortable and her demeanor shows that she really loves her craft and wants her customers walking out satisfied with their results. She even followed up with me the next day to make sure all was well.The only con was when I arrived, I wasnt sure if I was supposed to check-in somewhere first. So, for any new clients, take a seat and she will come out to you. Other than that small initial confusion, the waxing services she provided turned out to be a relaxing and assuring experience.I know that whenever I come up here, I always have a place to go for my waxing!

I’ve been going to Amber for the last four years for Sugaring/Waxing and although I can’t say it’s completely painless, I will say she is a perfectionist (which is great cause I am PICKY!) and I always know the products she uses are not only safe but good for my skin! Had my first wax with Amber today, after a truly horrible experience elsewhere in Vancouver. Not only did she give me a free consultation over the phone a few weeks ago (telling me how to heal from my previous waxing disaster and even going so far as to tell me exactly where on the Walgreens shelf to find the skin/wound care items she recommended), but today was easily the best wax Ive ever had. She was professional, the products she used smelled natural and amazing, she explained what was happening with my skin and gave me clear instructions on how to continue the healing process (again, directing me to the exact shelf at Walgreens!), and her office was peaceful and comfortable. Excellent results. Shes obviously a pro, and a total skincare guru to boot. Already purchased my next three waxes (at an incredibly affordable price).

I have been to a lot of sugarists over the years and Amber is so knowledgeable and makes the experience a lot less painful (there will always be some pain, but her technique makes it much more tolerable). She has a number of great products to offer for ingrown hairs and irritation as well! So glad I found her in Vancouver and always plan to go to her!

But when I came to Amber for help, she was so supportive and informational about what I need to do, and the process of clearing my face. I have been seeing Amber since last Summer for Brazilian Waxing and Sugaring. She makes what used to be a painful and not so pleasant experience comfortable and inviting! I have been getting waxed for over a decade, and have learned that sugar waxing is the least painful type of wax. The sugaring is more gentle and overall better for your skin. Every time I went in for a wax, I ended up asking her for advice with my very troublesome adult acne. I finally bit the bullet and made an appointment for a consultation and facial. I always thought that facials were something superfluous, like getting a pedicure. I had NO IDEA how much they would benefit my skin. Between Ambers awesome (and affordable) acne products (Ive tried many before), her knowledge of dietary affects on skin (she used to be a nurse and will suggest dietary changes and supplements that will also benefit your skin), her availability is what sets her apart from others. I had a breakout that I could not get under control. One night I freaked out because I couldnt take it any more, and texted her. She asked me to send her photos, and was able to make changes in my acne regimen. The breakout cleared up and I havent had one like it since. If you are looking for a quick fix that may or may not work, stick with the infomercials you see on TV. If you are looking for something that will truly heal and change your skin...with persistence, effort and consistency, then Amber is the best there is.

I was recommended to Amber by a friend who knew i had been struggling with chronic acne for a while. The first time I saw Amber was for waxing and that experience was great! I loved that everything was organic and she was very professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. In talking more with her we got on the subject of acne and nutrition and It was so refreshing to hear someone so knowledgeable with the treatment of acne and battling it not only with treatments and products but also through what your putting in your body.I was on Acutane 2x in high school and numerous amounts of antibiotics to help treat my acne and Im now 30 yrs old and still battling acne. It got really bad after having my son almost 2 yrs ago and since then Ive spent lots of money on products, light treatments, peels, laser you name it. Not to say none of these have helped, but i was never put on products that were healthy for my skin or educated on nutrition specifically for skin.Amber recommended a series of Ultrasound treatments and also recommended i start using a couple products by Osmosis and skin script (the prices were very reasonable) which i have loved!! During the first ultrasound treatment Amber recommended if i wasnt already to get on a good probiotic and to start taking Zinc and Vit. C. Totally wish someone had told me this sooner!! After 6 ultrasound treatments my skin texture has greatly improved (lots smoother), my scars have faded some, and my acne has mostly cleared up. This is the first time in a long time i feel like ill be able to keep my acne under control. Would totally recommend Amber to anyone who has struggled with acne! I started going to Amber for waxing after I was pregnant and had never had anything but my eyebrows waxed before that. Waxing while pregnant is generally more painful due to the hormone elevations. Amber adressed all my concerns; the ouch factor and the concerns around irritation and ingrown hairs. She also explained which wax formulations she was going to use on which areas of skin and why. I cant say enough about what a good experience I had going to Amber! I had brazilians up through my 38th week with ever increasing skin sensitivity and she expertly performed the hair removal with only a minor increase in discomfort. Go see Amber for all your prenatal waxing, shes fantastic!
