I’m leaving this review on principle that (I assume) the owner replied very late in the evening just out of compassion for their customers. My email was frantic at best and they eased my stress with their response. I haven’t been in yet but I am certain their customer service will be top notch!

Gave a honest answer that he did not recommend spending the money to fix the laptop. Friendly, hard and fast at what he does. He is very knowledgeable and detail oriented. When he was checking for the part he was carefully making sure that the numbers for the part were the same and that the part layout was the same and that it would work. 100% recommend his service to anyone.

Brian really knows laptops. I came in with a 15 yr old laptop that was dead. After he looked at it for a few minutes he explained in detail why it would not be worth it to repair it. I ask if he had any used laptops that I could buy and he showed me several, ranging from $100 and up. I chose a $200 reconditioned laptop and was on my way shortly thereafter. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIS SERVICES, AND WILL BE GOING TO HIM FOR ALL MY FUTURE LAPTOP REPAIRS.

Extremely professional, knowledgeable and to the point. Woke up this morning with a slight panic attack about my computer not starting properly. Like any one I dug my heels in and attempted to fix it myself. Big surprise I made everything worse lolAttempted to call another company and got no response, left a message and dodnt hear back from them for hours.Contacted laptop zen and was greeted immediately, told him my issue and was able to get an appointment literally within minutes. Upon arriving he diagnosed the issue within 5 minutes and gave me an extremely fair quote and set to work. Went about my day and was able to pick it up within a couple hours working BETTER than it has for a very very long time. Dont go to Best Buy or anywhere else.Ive built my own computers for 20 years and I still decided to take my latest project to Laptop Zen and have the work done by a pro.This is the second time I have had computer work done here. I cracked my MacBook screen and looked around Vancouver for someone with good reviews to call and see if they could help me with the issue. I stopped by and Brian checked out my screen, and found a replacement screen within a few minutes. 3 days later the screen arrived broken by the shipper- so Brian immediately worked hard to get me a new screen as quickly as possible.Since I needed my computer, he put it back together so I could use it until the other screen arrived, and helped me set up the computer to be able to use an external screen I had, and I was able to use my computer until the 2nd screen arrived a few days later.Once the other screen arrived, I dropped off my laptop and he had the screen replaced in a few hours and ready to go.If I could give him 10 stars, instead of 5 I would! I was in need of a quick repair for my laptop screen so I looked around and computer zen was the only one available to help on a Sunday. I contacted through google and they allowed me to stop by without an appointment and repaired my laptop quick, efficiently and surely! Even fixed a small issue with case on the laptop not being seated completely. Was a fair price for the job done. All in all very satisfied and will recommend this place to family and friends!

I highly recommend their service. Brian is absolutely fantastic and he is incredibly knowledgeable. I needed a new battery for my Lenovo laptop and brought my laptop to Geek Squad initially—they told me it would be at least a few weeks and the repair would not be done on site. I also contacted many other computer repair services and battery replacement companies and all of them turned me down saying that my laptop was either too complicated to repair or they just didn’t carry the battery. Brian ordered the battery for me and it came swiftly, and he inserted it and did a system optimization and it only took two days. When I came to pick up my laptop from Brains house after he repaired it. I was blown away by the quality of the repair. You wont find better quality and better price any where else in Vancouver / Portland area! Before the repair the hinge of my laptop was snapped, my screen was cracked and the cable to my monitor was destroyed. My laptops plug-in port was broken and it wouldn’t charge properly. Other places wanted to charge me $80 minimum without even looking at it. I took it to Brian and he ordered the piece and within a few days he had it replaced and he only charged me $40. He is the best person in the area by far to take your laptop to. He runs his business out of his house so it may seem weird showing up the first time but don’t let it discourage you. Take your laptop here you will be so glad you did!!

Sunday morning a small dog runs under the dining room table pulling my Lenovo W520 Thinkpad off the table. Picking up laptop shows screen display is off kilter so i bring it over to Laptop Zen around 9:30am and diagnosed for new screen, parts are there and it works like new by 11am. My Macbook couldnt find the hard drive again... third time between two macbooks in 5 years. In the past this has been an hour fix for $135 and a week-long fix for $600. Brian diagnosed and fixed within 30 minutes for $60.It was a little strange driving up to his duplex and having a kid answer the door. But quickly those fears were assuaged by a friendly guy that knows his stuff and seems eager to help. He takes credit cards and theres a turtle to watch as you wait. If youre doing the stop-by randomly at 10 a.m. on a Sunday morning and are concerned going up to the door, dont be! This was the best laptop repair experience Ive had.

I just googled laptop repair because I was desperate to get a better quote than our local guy, and also didnt want to send the laptop to dell (even though it had a warranty and was FREE but customer service was horrible and shipping would take over a week). Son had left for college and left behind a cracked LCD screen (inside crack). Brians quote was by far the cheapest. He was trying to put in an upgraded LCD screen but the BIOS wouldnt take it. So he quickly ordered the regular one and I had to wait. The latest it would come would be Friday, but possibly Thurs. It came WED. I got a text from him with a pic of the fixed screen, saying LOOK! I was so happy. Now I can send back the fixed laptop with a family and not pay overnight shipping charges. AND..the screen was $10 less than the one he was going to put in right away. He didnt charge for trying to see if it would work (bc he had originally installed it but didnt charge me). All in all, I paid $90 (I tipped him $10 and gave him a jar of homemade salsa too). My other quotes were 139 and 150 plus tax. Will defn go to him for any other laptop/computer work, even though I dont want to have issues, but we all do! THANKS Brian!
