Good place. But Ive had MULTIPLE experiences where I will schedule my appointment (for example at 9am) and 1 week before my appointment, I get the confirmation email saying my appointment is at 10:45am. Unbelievable. I drive 1.5hours. Ive never heard of a dentist office moving your appointment WITHOUT calling first. I am always busy. I work almost everyday. I set it for a certain time. I will not be going back to this location.
The service was great, everyone was very helpful. They suggested a procedure that is great for me. I will be returning soon for the procedure.
Great dentist and staff here! I went a long time without going to the dentist, but was not made to feel guilty when the dentist found this out. Got a tooth pulled here and he was quick and painless. Will continue going here
Ive been having pain in a back molar for awhile but I was avoiding making an appointment because the last time I went to the dentist I had a terrible experience. The previous dentist didnt discuss the cost to extract the two teeth I was having pulled and also didnt go over their policy with billing insurance so after they pulled my teeth I was very alarmed and distressed to be presented with a $400+ bill and told that they wouldnt bill my insurance that I needed to file a claim to be reimbursed. That experience has caused me to avoid dentists for the last 5 years and I was really dreading seeking treatment for my current issue. The Valparaiso office was able to get me in the next day, the staff was very friendly and I loved that they went over every single price for everything I needed done and set me up with a finance plan. Im so happy and relieved that Im going to be able to get everything fixed and hopefully eventually be able to get aligners as well. Definitely a 10/10 experience!
While I came in for a Denture repair, they took unnecessary x rays and made up an estimate to fix everything wrong in my mouth. I did not ask for that. I felt that they were pushy with the treatment plan they devised. I was asked multiple times if I wanted to make appointment for the rest of the work. I only came in for a repair. They did do the repair. While it took way longer than I was told it would, the repair was satisfactory. All in I spent 3 hours there to get a repair. The staff was nice but did not listen when I said, just the repair. I may not be back since they could not listen to my wishes the first time.
I have seen TONS of bad reviews for Aspen Dental though some have had bad experiences, I did not. From my first visit I knew this was the place for me. I do believe there is only one Dr. so wait times can be long. Have patience bring a book. Today I had 2 teeth pulled and my top partial put in. I loved how the Dr. walked me through each step. Didnt even feel the first removal. The nurse whom I think was named Serena was also great. She talked me through it and just a simple touch of her hand on top of mine was comforting. Thank you
The office staff and dentists were very nice. They answered all the questions I asked. I felt very comfortable having my teeth checked.
Highly recommend! Amazing doctor! This place has definitely changed my views about being scared of the dentist! Everyone was super nice and professional!
The staff was amazing. The initial x-rays are no charge super bonus there. I was very happy that they offered payment plans. The woman who is in charge of helping you set up a payment plan was extremely helpful. She was attentive to my financial needs and offered many different options. The dentist tried to make me as comfortable as he could because I have MS so my nervous system is hyper sensitive. He did great work and did everything I wanted to have done. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because to me they are a little more expensive than I had hoped but my case was an emergency. The other reason I did not give it 5 stars is because I wish they offered nitrous oxide. Overall I had about as pleasant of an experience as you can for having to get your teeth worked on.Kathy Rock
They are very friendly and answer any questions you have. Great service. Glad I went to them.
Went in today for an adjustment. I was actually treated like a friend by the staff.Dr. Shaffer is the most caring doctor. Thank you all .I like my smile.
Very nice to fix my tooth that filling had fell out ofThank you all
The staff is very friendly and efficient, the dentist is great. Highly recommend this place.
Very caring staff! Very concerned about my pain.
Good experience they are good Dr. Philip is the best!!Thank you
Once a month for emergency dental extractions then cant help someone whose struggling to even feed themselves and losing their home.. Rude receptionist. Glad I was never a patient. Greed is there game. Not the safety of your health. So sad. My tooth is exposed and catching food. Thanks for allowing an abses to manifest . Considering this just happened
Every member of the staff I interacted with were very helpful, kind, and patient. The front desk answered all of my questions, and the hygienist and dentist were very thorough with my exam and explaining the steps we needed to take. Nikki was especially helpful with explaining the plan and payment options for my future work that will be done. I could not thank everyone enough for their time and sincere attitudes.
I have extremely bad anxiety getting dental work done and they made sure my experience was very pleasant when getting not so pleasant work done. I will never go to another dentist again.
Took so long waiting in the dental chair I didnt have enough time to get my teeth cleaned. Wasnt able to get the service done on my only time off.
Aspen is more than just going to the Dentist. It’s a home where you can get an complete analysis of your teeth problems, and problems you may not have known about. Staff warm and friendly looking for ways to help you at an affordable rate. The Place to Go for excellent complete service. I have been here before it was good then, but now they are Better!!
Fast, efficient, respectful, staff. Thank you all.
I am extremely anxious when it comes to the dentist, but the whole office was so friendly and calm that it made me calm & comfortable being there. Everyone was so helpful in answering any questions I had, from the x-ray tech to the hygienist to the dentist & Nikki in finance. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist.
Very wonderful employees that know their job.
Love the ladies here!!! So kind and informative! Tonya is wonderful and I wish I could remember the financial advisers name she is especially wonderful as well!! I would recommend going if you are looking for a good dentist experience.
Do NOT get dental implants from Aspen dental. Mine fell out before a year past. Theyre supposed to last longer. The staff isnt very helpful. Find another solution, avoid if at all possible
Im not sure where to start, other than above and beyond service. I found them only after numerous other dentists who kept messing up my teeth so bad. I came to them in desperate need, as I wasnt sure what to do anymore. They gave me a free exam, x-rays and consultation. They went through every single tooth with me explained everything was going on, they listened, they made a plan and most of all made me feel comfortable. Im so happy I found them. Thank you Aspen Dental and your team. Please keep up the good work, it has not gone unnoticed.
I scheduled an emergency appointment online for an abscessed tooth at 11:30am, Received confirmation email. When I showed up for my appointment at 11:15 they told me my appointment was at 4:30. I showed the receptionist my conformation for 11:30 and she told me there was nothing they could do except see me at 4:30. She said dont schedule appointments online, yourebetter off calling. Why do you have online scheduling then? Im in a lot of pain and frustrated and told her to just cancel the appointment
Best people. Best Experience
I visited Aspen for an emergency tooth extraction. My appointment was booked online for 8am, the earliest appointment available. I arrived 15min early and when the door was unlocked I was the first customer inside. Yet, somehow, I was the 3rd customer to be called for examination, mind you the necessary paperwork was completed prior to walking in the door, when I booked the appointment online. The x-ray process consisted of 10 x-rays, from every angle of the mouth you can think of for no apparent reason, because I had only one tooth that needed attention. Note: That I had taken nearly 10 x-rays before stopping the nurse due to the amount of pain I was in, and all she did was role her eyes very unprofessionably. I then was put in a back room where the dental hygienist came in telling me, not asking or explaining, what all she was going to HAVE to do.. None of which she did. Awhile later the doctor came in and disregarded everything I had said acting, as if, I was a burden on his watch. Shortly after, I walked out.. Mind you the doctor never even raised his head from the paperwork he was filling out. All in all, the free exam was not only very excessive, but seemed like scheme to get you in the door and ultimately to get you to pay more money for the procedures theyll talk you into. In my experience, the atmosphere for the customer was not pleasant.
The staff is great dr. Shaffer is awesome he really put me at ease and made me feel very comfortable. So far my experience has been awesome. Thank you to all the wonderful staff and again thank you dr. Shaffer!
I had a root canal and temp crown. The endodontist, dentist, dental hygienists, and everyone else in the office were very kind and professional. I loved my experience!
Delivered what they promised. Made it as comfortable for me as possible. Tanya was very good...thanks
From my first consultation I knew that I wasn’t going anywhere else...Valparaiso’s Aspen Dental has a professional friendly and caring staff...no judgment...no lectures....their only concern is your well-being...my only complaint is I wish I would have came here sooner...Dr. Mangiaracina put my concerns at ease and his fellow staff only ensured this...I have honestly never been treated like this anywhere else...
1i thought all were professional and friendly. They told me what they were doing, explained any break in treatment.
Had a wisdom tooth pulled (OUCH) and Dr. Brown was very thorough on explaining everything that would be happening and aftercare. The entire staff was really accommodating and helpful especially considering I had to bring my kiddo. Unfortunately for me, there were no payment plan options available but what can ya do?
I was very nice surprised at my first visit at Aspen Dental. I was admitted on time and had decent evaluation done of my teeth and gums plenty of x-rays not to miss any details of my condition. I was informed ahead how much any of further procedures would cost and thanked for a visit without being charged but expected to come back for a treatment. Thank you Aspen Dental
If I could give 0 stars I would. We called ahead for pricing and received a price which we were ok with. We were under the impression that we would finish in the same day, not so!! After the initial evaluation was completed, They changed the price and told us that we would have to reschedule. I do not recommend Aspen Dental at all. I feel that it was a bait and switch on the price. I was also dissatisfied with the cleanness of the office and bathroom.
Was able to make a same day appointment even though I was a new patient. Wait time incredibly short. Such friendly, helpful care and information.
Great staff. They have very helpful and polite staff. Dr Phil and the assisting staff made sure that I was comfortable because I was very nervous. Thanks for your patience and Help!
Due to the covid issue I wont bash the wait time. Once I did finally get in they were quick and listen to me and what was happening. Very honest about my tooth and the cost to fix it compared to pulling. Friendly staff.
Just had my first experience at Aspen Dental on Oct.2, 2009. The staff was very polite and patient with me. I just hope it stays that way. The only complaint I have is that the areas where they work on you are not private enough. Nevertheless, I would encourage you to see them.
I had a very pleasant experience getting my cavities filled. The Dr. did a great job numbing me up and I felt no pain during or after my appointment. The dental assistants were very kind and personal. I will be starting Invisalign soon and very excited to be coming back to a great office!
I got my three of my teeth filled! They numbed my face and it felt really weird but it was okay. I was really scared at first but this really nice lady held my hand and told me it would be okay. She was definitely my favorite person there. Thank you!
Hygienist Tonya was the best and gave me a great cleaning and advice to use a water pic, also doc Philip is a sweetheart
The availability of appointments was great. I am a chicken when it comes to dental, I needed an extraction. Unfortunately I cant use epinephrine types of numbing agents. Dr. Phil did his absolute best in getting me as numb as possible. And his assistant Shalene was phenomenal. Her personal attention of just reassuring me and her touch on my arm helped ground some of my high fears and anxiety. Way to go for hiring her. Thanks everyone!
I have visited this office probably 5-6 times now. Cindy is my hygienist and does a very thorough job not only cleaning my teeth but also giving me suggestions to improve my dental health. Always happy to see her. The best hygienist Ive ever had and Ive had some pretty good ones before. Some days Ive waited a little long but never an unreasonable amount. I also had my wisdom teeth removed here and had no issues.
My first time coming here and they put me at ease. Its been a long time since seeing a dentist and I m a lot less afraid.Doctors are awesome but the office, and other employees are top notch.
Absolutely amazing and accommodating. I have been a difficult and anxious patient since childhood. I came in needing a root canal and temporary crown and they made sure it was taken care of the same day. Ill never go anywhere else again!
I had a cracked molar, extreme pain. Got me in same day, assessed, talked options and extracted all in the span of two hours. 0 hassle, great experience!
I could not have been more pleased with the staff, the immediate attention to my dental issues, the quick timeframe in accommodating a back to back appointment for myself & my husband and the follow up plan for my husband who had a number of issues he wasn’t aware of. I would highly recommend the Valparaiso Aspen Dental to everyone.
Everyone was very nice and polite. They all seem to care about the patient and their needs. My teeth were made in a timely manner. They seem to fit well so far. They look nice and they want to make sure that the fit is good. This is my second time at Aspen Dental, and I would go back again.
Both my wife and I purchased new upper and lower dentures. Over $3000.00 each. Both sets have had teeth fall out. My wife just went back to have them fixed again. We both have dentures that have reglued teeth. I would not recommend going there.
Dr. Phil was courteous and patient. I voiced my preferences and he took care of them along with his assistant who was very helpful and courteous. Im sorry I cant mention her by name she deserves recognition as well due to being in pain. I will return as a patient. I highly recommend Aspen Dental. Pat Bultema
So thankful for the staff at the Valparaiso clinic. They were very professional and made me feel very at ease during my treatment. Dr. Shafer was very efficient and kind.
My opinion is this dental service is a scan. I made an appointment here as my insurance only accepts them in our area. I went in for a check and teeth cleaning, which I get two times a year free. I also had a growth or access on my lower gum line along the jaw. First they did surround x-rays. Then separate area x-rays. Then I was put in a room and my gums and teeth evaluated. Told I needed a deep clean, not a regular clean and would have to come back every three months to manage the gum disease if I did not want to lose my teeth. The the dentist came in, we discussed my options including partials. Next I was passed off to the office manager and costs were discussed which ranged from 2,200 to 2,398. Of course they had several payment plans some with and without interest. I was handed a copy and a prescription for what I was told was an abscess even the dentist never looked at it. I walked out without my teeth getting cleaned either as they dont do them the same day, which means they can charge you. The best was I brought my daughter with me and was charged for the cleaning as did a deep clean which does not include polishing the teeth. That was 100.00. I left stunned and angry as they said she did not need deep cleaning. I did not know up from down by the time they finished with me. I will not be returning and am reporting this to my insurance company. They are scam artists.
Aspen Dental provided a very professional, thorough and personalized experience during my appointment time. Everyone I encountered was pleasant, effective and efficient. The dental hygienist cleaned my teeth better than anyone in my history of going to the dentist. Sitting in the chair getting my teeth cleaned was like a barbershop experience, great conversation while the technician made me feel relaxed and comfortable. The doctor was very detailed while explaining my options and various scenarios regarding dental care going forward. The finance manager also provided reasonable choices for payment options with a treatment plan that was short term and realistic. I am very happy to have chosen the Valparaiso office, even though it meant traveling a longer distance from home to get there. The overall experience from start to finish was more than I ever imagined!
I had a 11:30 am appointment. At 12:22 I was still waiting for the dentist to simply reattach a crown that had fallen out 5 days earlier. I had to be dome by 12:30 pm to be able to drive to work for an afternoon shift which I informed office personnel. Knowing I would not be done by 12:30, I told the receptionist I was leaving and I did. I will not return to Aspen Dental. My time is valuable to me.
Very thorough. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Perfect first visit. Keeping as primary dentist.
Went to my original dentist first because I had a toothache he diagnosed it as me needing a root canal or tooth removed with just one x Ray and his opinion for 5 minutes cost $130.Went to Aspen Dental for a second opinion because the toothache went away and canceled my original root canal appointment which was going to be very expensive since I didnt have insurance anymore. Aspen Dental gave me a free full evaluation and when the dentist looked at the x-rays determine that I probably may not need a root canal because it was just an infection around a tooth that had cleared up with antibiotics. They also take Dental discount plans which will save you a lot of money I had a comparison with what my original root canal would have cost me.
I am so happy that I went here. After visiting a local dentist and not feeling comfortable, I did a little research and found Aspen Dental. It was a short wait. The dentist put me at ease and I even set up an interest fee credit plan.
Very good experience, I was in a lot of pain and needed a tooth pulled and was relatively painless procedure.
My son had a wonderful experience! I’ve never known a 6 year old to ask when he can go back!
Dr. Phil is great. Had to get an extraction and he made it as painless as possible. Great dentist.
Great place, Ive been getting dental work here for some years now. They do a good job with everything :)
The staff was so nice and were very knowledgeable. Could have been better on acknowledging someone at front desk when others are busy. I recommend them highly.
I am not very good at going to dentists. Im always afraid of getting hurt. But I was treated well, and they were conscious of this, and tried to make me as comfortable as possible. The new patient routine left a little to be desired, but, all in all, I will go back, and that says a lot.
The staff here is wonderful and they got me out of pain the same day. I am normally very anxious about being at the dentist. Thank you for a good experience.
So unprofessional there . Took forever taking ex-rays by a new staff member who didnt know what she was doing and not being over seen by anyone else . The oral surgeon on duty was also unprofessional wouldnt even try to work with me as he told me its my job to jut make you a perfect smile . I came to get a tooth pulled . Take my money and do your job. Would not recommend for anyone there family dentist in valpo is way better .
So far its been a positive experience but Im just getting started.
Awesome staff, professional environment, well detailed with everything and I highly recommend this dentist office!!! You guys rock!!!! 🙂
I went to Aspen Dental because, honestly, I have no dental insurance and knew they offered payment plans. I had not gone in a few years so I expected the worst. They did an exam, full x-rays, and a consultation. They dentist found a mass in my lower jaw as well as telling me I had deep tooth pockets that needed a deep cleaning. When I asked about the mass on my jaw he was very calm and comforting and stressed that it was most likely nothing, but that I needed to have a biopsy of it. I went to the office manager who helped me set up a payment option that worked for me and I scheduled my deep cleaning and biopsy. I went for the cleaning first, and the hygienist was AMAZING. I had a deep root and pocket cleaning and was in barely any discomfort without Novocaine! That was SUPER impressive to me since my friends have had that and they always needed the novocaine. I will go back in 3 months eagerly to have them checked. Yesterday I had the biopsy with Dr. Brown and I have to give him 10000000 thumbs up, a high five and a big giant hug. He explained EVERYTHING to me before he did the procedure, made absolutely sure I was comfortable for it, did it quickly and as painlessly as possible. I was totally freaked out and scared, but he put me at ease well, which was hard to do when you know someone is drilling into your jaw bone! He even called later to see how I was and to make sure the pain medicine was working! Absolutely fantastic oral surgeon. He even reassured me that everything looked normal and stressed not to worry about the pathology results until they come in. The dont worry until you have to worry approach was great. My one and only negative is that it is a bit pricey, but taking care of your teeth is very important and I would have paid twice the price for Dr. Brown! Thank you so much Aspen Dental.
Super friendly staff, a ways understanding. They will help you get your dental hygiene back on track. Even if you have a sewer of a mouth they can help.
I was very satisfied with my first experience at this office. The staff were friendly and compassionate towards my situation. Unfortunately, I wasnt able to get my situation resolved b/c I needed to see an oral surgeon and I couldnt get into the ones I was referred to for another 3 weeks which is not acceptable to me, but the dentist was hoping I could get In that day, thats not something that is within their control. I will be returning. That was another thing, they all expressed the desire to follow up with my dental health and the importance of keeping up with cleanings etc.
The staff here did not disappoint me and didnt waste time in getting me set up for my first cleaning appointment. I also like how they offer flexibility. Staff are very friendly and very helpful
They were all great! One of the very positive things I noticed was that I didnt have to wait a long time in the reception area for my appointments or in the treatment area for the procedures. That is a HUGE plus because the waiting just increases the anxiety. Worked with me to get what I needed done at an affordable price. Everyone was friendly and professional. The procedure was practically pain-free and my recovery has been positive. Ashley and Dr. Schafer were both very encouraging and explained to me what I could expect, although I think they were a little surprised, too, how well and quickly I have been recovering. Definitely would recommend to family and friends! Thanks to everyone at Aspen Dental, Valparaiso! You have a great team there!
I know Im a little late with my review but I.went in about a year ago to Aspen to get two wisdom teeth pulled. It was a decent experience at first. The assistant made sure I was comfortable after they numbed me and made small conversation even though I couldnt respond. But once the procedure began, it kind of went downhill. The dentist, whom Im not even positive is an oral surgeon, got mad at me for crying while he was prepping for the procedure. Now I have never had teeth pulled, I was very nervous and just needed a little professional reassurance that it wouldnt hurt and it would be quick. I kept myself as still as I could while in the chair, the dentist did not seem to think I was still enough. He told me he was going to stop if I didnt keep my head still. Mind you, I was getting two IMPACTED wisdom teeth pulled, so it took him quite a bit of yanking and jerking to get them out, so as for my movements, they were totally involuntary due to the dentist jerking my head around. I just cant believe I was told that my surgery would be put at a halt for his vigorous movements of my head and me not even being able to defend myself was rather upsetting to say the least. I paid out of pocket and did everything I was asked to do, the least he could have done was make it a comfortable experience for his patient as far as his attitude went, considering it wasnt going to be the most comfortable experience physically. Just had to put my story out there because I do need more work done, and I really would hope for a better experience next visit because this is the closest location to where I live and it was somehwat affordable.
Great place for general dentist work, friendly and professional staff. Had a dental emergency and they got me in right away!
I had 2 insurances and also paid over 500 cash for a bridge and they still telling me I owed 400. I dont know who did their billing to insurance but I know I dont owe anymore money. I called spoke to receptionist to have the girl in billing call me and never did I receive a bill but instead they sent it to collection and I told them I dont owe money and Im still waiting for call back and this been over year now. I remember every time I went in they told me I owe 4,000 at one point. Im not stupid. I would tell everyone I know to avoid this place. Terrible Im still waiting and for them to get collections to stop calling me. I have to say the woman that dies the cleaning is awesome but too bad shes with wrong place
The office staff was friendly and they called me back promptly at the time of my appointment. I explained on the new patient paperwork that I had sensitive teeth and weak enamel. My old dentist (who is now out of network) identified that I have hereditarily bad teeth and other issues (including my reactions to numbing agents). I tried to give them my previous dentists information but they refused to take it. The nurse who took my xrays was less than pleasant. She was tossing equiptment around and sighing/groaning like it wasnt her job. The dental hygienist didnt want to listen when I tried to explain my history and instead opted to tell me that I was doing it wrong and I wouldnt have these issues if I cleaned my teeth properly. Excuse me? They left the door open with drills going while I waited for the doctor. Coupled with the yellow stained seats and obviously hastily cleaned equipmentment means the whole experience was uncomfortable. I got out of there as fast as I could. If the nurses were that degrading and unwelcoming, I didnt even want to meet the doctor.
Run, just go to another dentist that can do more than either clean your teeth or pull them all out. I was told I needed a root canal and crown 5 teeth needed to be pulled. I went to another dentist and fillings only. Aspen tried this with my wife and kids also ..all unnecessary work.
Great experience they know what they’re doing
Hygienists are always pleasant and do a great job. Very helpful in working with insurance to use benefits accurately.
This is a great place and they really do care and want to help you. Dr Schafer and Cindy (dental hygienist) are great. I cried the first time I went here because I was so scared. They assured me that everything would be fine and they would work with me. They were right and are very good with big babies. I had work done on my teeth for a couple months I had almost all of my back teeth filled, 2 teeth pulled, and a crown because I had a root canal done. They did a wonderful job on my teeth. Not to many people get excited on going to the dentist in know I didnt ... But now I do.. if you have any problems with your teeth I recommend you go here and see these guys they are awesome.
DO NOT GO HERE!!! I wish I could give this place negative stars. They are the worst people. The receptionist was extremely rude and I could hear her talking badly about the patients to the other ladies. The hygienist, who’s name I don’t even know because no one told me their names or introduced themselves to me before poking around in my mouth; was so insensitive. And the awful AWFUL head dentist, who again do not know his name because he didn’t introduce himself is careless. Walked in. Looked at my scans said “everything looks good” walked away. I went there for a cleaning and check up and I didn’t get a cleaning and left feeling bullied. I don’t know how these people even got their lisences. Just awful overall.
Great office and great staff!! I could not have been more pleased with my entire experience with Aspen Dental. Dr. Schafer and his team did a fantastic job and I would recommend them without any hesitation. Excellent job!!
I never have dental problems, but I get regular cleanings. Cynthia at the Valparaiso location is hands down the best dental hygienist Ive worked with. I appreciate her professionalism, steady pace and effectiveness.
They saved my day. I called 5 other places for a quick fix on Friday. They got me in right away and did an amazing job. Love my smile.
Great experience with Dr. Schafer. Very pleasant and friendly office staff.
I just left my first cleaning after not seeing a dentist for 30 years. I suffer from high anxiety so going is a real chore. This is the second dental office I tried, the first office was horrifying. I met Cindy here, shes the hygienist, she put me at ease almost immediately. I would recommend this office to anyone, the office staff is very polite and alto I only met the dentist for a moment he also seemed very nice. If you want a dental office that you can trust and they will listen, this is it.
The Office seemed more interested in selling services instead of discussing and dealing with why I was there. To my question of getting my cracked tooth taken care the Hygienist basically said that is not how we do thing and said I had to have multiple visits to have my teeth cleaned before any other work was done. The Dentist was not much better and looked at the x-rays and only seemed to want to talk about removing a wisdom tooth that is not giving me any problems what so ever. No explanations of treatment from either one but determined that I talk to the lady up front about payment and scheduling future appointments. In reviewing the billing found a standard practice of trying to sell a $135 Electric toothbrush on the bill. Also 8 treatments in one setting of Arestin at $83 each. In researching Arestin it is not recommended to do this many treatments in one setting and most of the articles were about pushing this treatment as a way of making money and as not a recommended treatment for the first visit around cleaning. There was likely only two locations to do this treatment which would have fallen in the recommendations not the number that they wanted to do. Also no explanation from the Hygienist or Dentist. They were on to the next patient and seemed to be more interested in numbers than quality care with an explanation. Will not go back and will actively recommended against Aspen Dental. Now to find a real dental office that is looking after the patient.
I will never ever go back to this place! My husband went in to get his dentures glued back together. He didnt need an exam or anything else. He was told it would take approximately 20 minutes. After a 2 hour wait, he left. We now have received a bill in the mail for $92. There was no service rendered therefore I will NOT be paying! Stay away from this horrible place! All they want is your money! My own experience there was horrible as well. The Dr. ignored me when I was literally crying in pain. They just dont care there. Again, STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!
The dentist and staff were great with the extraction I needed. Very professional and painless. Getting a tooth pulled isnt a fun thing in general, but Aspen made it go about as good as it can. Thanks.
I had an emergency issue with my tooth, the staff took me in on a last minute basis. Very professional, very clean, very helpful with a referral i needed . Doctor was great. Office manager was great too. I cant say enough good things about this office. Will be coming back again for further suggested services. Thanks!
While the facilities are clean & modern and the people are friendly, Aspen feels second rate on a good day. To me, Aspen is to dentistry what The General is to insurance. With my wifes old insurance, we were very limited to what dentists we could use and were kind of stuck with Aspen. Over the house of about 4 years I never had the same dentist twice. It was either a training ground for dentists or the dentists were treated soo poorly that they looked for jobs elsewhere. Very often the kids only 1 dentist there, making the waitress horrendous.I had 2 fillings done by Aspen. Its funny, my teeth never hurt until after they fixed them. One of the teeth they worked on now has a gap between it and the adjacent tooth wide enough to allow food to painfully lodge in the space when I eat.If you can get past a stranger working on you every time youre there with substandard results, the billing is going to send you packing. Its unethical, at best. As I mentioned earlier, I have dental insurance through my wifes employment. Rather than barring an estimate of your responsibilities for payment, they make you pay EVERYTHING UP FRONT. Then, when they get the insurance payment, they keep your money for application on the next service. They then repeat the cycle each time you show up. Yes, you heard right, they keep YOUR money and collect interest on it. I guess if you have no insurance it wont affect you. However, it seems wrong to me that they cant either make an estimate of the portion of the services for which Im esponsible or bill me after the insurance pays. Eight months after leaving them, it looks like Im finally getting my refund, ad they call it.I prefer to use a provider that puts a little more value to MY time and money.
I arrived on time was taken into an exam room right away, got basic info and x-rays done quickly then waited 30 minutes before the dentist dropped in. And Im talking waiting 30 minutes with no one checking in or letting me know what was happening until the 27 minute mark and then it was only The dentist will be in shortly. When the dentist did arrive he was humorless, barely apologetic and dismissed me in 7 minutes. I was looking for options and what they might be. I heard the x-ray assistant tell the dentist that but there was no discussion. He seemed annoyed that I had questions. I MIGHT have gotten a tiny smile out of him at one point but I cant really be sure. Then I got to wait again for 15 minutes before I got to talk to the office manager about next steps and cost. She was very personable and pleasant thank goodness. Apologized for the wait right away. The support staffers were nice and the facility is clean. The TV in the exam room is in interesting addition though way too close to actually watch and if you dont like whats on .. mind the big DONT TOUCH THE TV CONTROLS sign and dont change the channel. I had to ask the dentist to turn it off so yes I sat for 30 minutes with a program on that I did not want to watch with the TV way too close to my face. I will go back because it my best option for the oral surgery I require but, since the dentist (not the surgeon thankfully) was not interested in spending any real time with me to discuss what I wanted or what my options where, why couldnt he have spent 7 minutes with me at the 5 or 10 minute mark and been more contrite about having kept me waiting. Meh.. it is what it is. Be advised when they say New Patient appointments will take upwards from an hour and a half most of it will be wait time and not quality time with the dentist getting real advise.
Great experience. Very clean and friendly facility and flexible appointment times.
The staff are very friendly and good at what they do. This is my first visit and will continue as a regular customer. Very impressed with their service and caring.
Enjoyed my visit with the Aspen staff as always! The staff always seems to be courteous and professional during my visits. I would recommend Aspen Dental to newly patients in the near future!
