While there is a mask mandate in Vallejo it seems to be ineffective where I have the greatest exposure. There seems to be no one willing to enforce the mandate.Ive been a member of the Planet Fitness Gym for nine years now.  During the last mask mandate Planet Fitness repeatedly failed to demonstrate any enforcement of the mask requirement unless I brought it to their attention.  Nearly every morning I am in the Gym for an hour.  Just by looking around from the elliptical orbiter machine I utilize, I can easily see 3 or more people NOT wearing a mask and 6 to 8 other not wearing a mask properly.  I went thru the process multiple types, informing the staff of the situation last time masks were required.  Nothing has changed.  Ive been told by staff that they are supposed to go out and check for mask compliance every 15 minutes.  No staff member has EVER accomplished this task without my intervention.A simple start would be to remind patrons to wear masks over their nose and mouth when they check in.  This suggestion was ignored.  It seems there is no interest in enforcement.  Even a manger, allowed 2 individuals to enter without masks until I made a point of it being a violation of the city mandate. A simple sign indicating “NO MASKS NO ENTRY might help. Another simple sign should indicate “Masks must be worn over NOSE and Mouth unless drinking or eating”. Staff has more interest in viewing their cell phones. I strongly support the city wide mask mandate and will make its enforcement the basis for continuing my membership as well as encourage others to do the same.  Can you help in any way before someone contracts Covid?Additionally, one of the fill in managers will not wear a mask unless approached by me.  Ive grown tired of monitoring and reporting non compliance.

That mask mandate really socks. But other than that this is one of my favorite places on earth.

At 4:00 on a Sunday it was very quiet. And they now have employees who’s it’s seems there only job is to spray/wipe down and dust all of the equipment. So the place is sparkling clean too

Beyond frustrated at this point. A year ago I moved and canceled my membership. Then I started getting charges on my account. I’ve sent several messages on the website but nothing. I have been charge at least three times and I haven’t had any luck with fully canceling AGAIN, because apparently it wasn’t done the first time. I was told it was when I was in there.I’m obviously sending a letter to cancel it again, because I live 4 hours away now. I can not go in person. I’ve also requested several times to get a refund because I did not authorize these payments in the first place!

I love being able to go to the gym at 6:00 in the morning and getting a good workout and a massage

Good equipment & atmosphere (e.g. they do a good job of making it a judgement-free zone, & I am happy with the cleanliness of it now. My current issue is that they want to move the entire check in process to their app, but their app has so many bugs & glitches that because I belong to a different home club, my guest & I usually have a hard time getting in. I have seen firsthand that i am not the only member this happens to, & they act like theres no other way to retrieve membership info. If theyd fix said issue my rating would go back to 5 stars. However, since Ive been going there 6 days a week for the past 2 weeks & staff still give me heck over an issue Ive explained at least 10 times, such that there is recurring hassle to utilize the services I PAY for, 2 stars until their technology & subsequent customer experience is improved.

I love this gym. Equipaments are new, the gym is spacious and clean, its cheap and the employees are friendly. It doesnt have all the bells and whistles, like classes, but its a great cost/ benefit.

Very happy to have found Planet Fitness, I just wish I looked sooner! After 24 Hour Vallejo closed permanently and with Shelter in Place I just let my body go to seed. Im baaaaack! PF is a nice big space with new equipment and follows all the COVID-19 protocols, I feel very comfortable working out there. And you cant beat the price!!

Judgement free zone. Just dont grunt or wear a muscle shirt lest ye be judged.

Its super frustrating when vallejo hours arent open 24 hours and Fairfield and vacaville are so I live in Vallejo and have to drive to Fairfield to workout in less I want to stand in a line for a 1/2 at vallejo. Im pretty sure I signed a contract that they were a 24 hour gym and they do t have any problem taking out the full amount .if the come back is because of what color of tier were in why is Fairfield and vacaville open 24 hours were all in the same county.

Went here today and one of the desk ladies said I can’t come in because i cut everybody off-it doesn’t matter if I’m with my boyfriend or a guest and I should be all the way waiting at the back of a long line just because I came out of my boyfriends car for few minutes! She keeps insisting that its not fair for everybody who’s waiting in line when I also waited and she also stated that it’s one of their rules. What rules? It’s funny how they considered that I’m doing something wrong when I’m not. This is unprofessional!

I have been trying to cancel my husbands and my memberships for a year now. They need you to go in person and I’m moving every six weeks for medical school and that in itself is challenging. Then they shut down due to covid and freeze your account and during that time you can’t cancel. Then they open back out and start pulling money from my account again. Their online and phone services don’t work bc each club is individually owned. I have lost at least $60 on this place minimum. Which has been hard since my husband is out of work due to covid and I’m a full time med student. It’s been stressful. Just pay for better service and access somewhere else. Not to mention they don’t clean the machines enough and the paper towel dispensers for members are always broken and all out.The sending a signed letter was never given to me as an option and i have screen shots from my customer service conversations. :(We just really needed that money.

I am looking to join a gym since 24 hour fitness is permanently closed here in Vallejo.I have looked on online and Planet Fitness and In Shape seems to be the top 2 choices here. I normally would prefer a gym with a pool, steam room, etc., but Planet is 24 hours and has better reviews than In Shape.Are you allowing members at your location to at least use the showers? If I can’t have my amenities to use...at least I can get in a shower after a hard workout.Please advise

This is a good gym for the price. However, I would highly remind you that the staff will be as welcoming and passionate about their jobs depending on their low pay, so dont have any great expectations. I recommend coming to the gym late evenings during the weekends and early morning or early afternoon during the weekdays if possible - youll find less people and more free equipment. Just workout and dont forget peoples stares!

The tanning beds and massage chairs & beds are an uncommon but nice feature for a Vallejo gym. No pool or sauna tho, not big enough. Really low membership fees is also a bonus.

I went to Planet Fitness today to ask a question about Black Card membership benefits and was immediately shut down by Kiara who was working the front desk. I wasnt met with a hello or what brings you in today, but instead was quickly told were at capacity so wait outside until someone comes out. I decided to call to get my questions answered and Kiara answered the phone. I shared who I was and she doubled down on her rudeness, didnt tell me anything about Black Card benefits and directed me to the website to close my membership. She is the perfect example of who should not be working in customer service and also the reason Im canceling my membership after years.

Crooks. These places steal your money when you dont authorize it. Such a horrible membership

I just added a star from my review of 8 months ago because they install new machines frequently............Its affordable, spacious, clean (although I have never ventured to changing rooms see other reviews re dirt etc) and the machines are modern and mostly working properly.But lunkheads are an issue: eg they sit on the only fly machine for pecs for 20 minutes at a time doing multiple sets. So the no lunkhead philosophy of Planet Fitness is not working here. I have had a couple of confrontations with regulars who think they own the place, by me just asking to do ONE set.How must it be for women members then?The nice kids at front desk are usually too afraid to say anything or enforce the rules. Why should they for minimum wage ? There seems to be no grown up manager around ever. I think rule violations like the above should go in the membership record.A few reminders over the speakers about the rules would also help -- until then 2 stars.Management you need to come down here and fix it.

I move out from Vallejo 6 months ago and I try to cancel my membership the day after I move to San Francisco, I call them and mail them and they didn’t cancel my membership, but they keep changing me, I talk to corporate and they said they don’t know nothing, I drove one hour and pay the bridge just to cancel my membership once there finally they did, but they charged me for the time the Gym was close, I mailed them I call them and nobody knows why or who can give me my money back, they are stilling peoples money and it’s not fair on this times of Pandemia where money is very scarce.

Everything that I needed was in this gym but Good Customer Service is lacking.

Place needs more cleaning...

One of the nicer gyms in town fast in and fast out. All machines run well and the staff are really cool. If you just get the basic set up its good. But if you get there platinum you get the massage chairs and the massage beds and all the amenities. And its still cheaper than any other place in town

The people are very nice and helpful. I like this Gym because its affordable and its close to my home. The only thing I have a complaint is on the cleanliness of the equipment. The working out equipment and weights are always dirty and dusty, the paper towel dispensers are always stuck or without paper, the liquid spray disinfectant is always low or has none.I have witnessed customers complaint of all the dust. And most importantly no hello when customers come in, all the reps on their phone .

I enjoy coming here.Pros:Great customer service. The front desk lady that signed me up was super friendly and welcoming.Prices are unbeatable. A lot of perks for only 20 bucks a month, not to mention that it is open 24 hours.Cons:It is not always the cleanest but it is clean enough to enjoy the machines.My thoughts:Worth it.Tip: If you’re looking for a time that’s not so busy try early mornings like 4am.

I am posting this review in hopes that my complaint is actually addressed. This is the 6th week in a row that I have brought to the attention of the staff that sits at the front desk that the handles on the seated row machine station #18 in the 30min circuit room are on backwards. Each time I advise the staff Im told the life fitness people will be here that day or that week and they will have them fix it. Well, as of 1200 today they are still not fixed.

This is a GREAT location as the management is responsive to the needs of their clients. A wonderful Hot shower after a good workout is so refreshing and important. Of course, all of the well maintained exercise equipment and massage options is definitely a plus also. In addition, being someone who is very concerned with hygene, I love the fact that a great deal of importance is placed upon clients to clean the equipment after every use. Look forward to having the cleaning solutions available in the showers as well. I highly recommend this Planet Fitness.

This place has everything I need to get in a good workout. Its clean and organized during slow hours but can get messy especially in the locker rooms during peak hours.

Wonderful gym with great trainer Nate, very knowledgeable and kind. Patient and thorough in the training sessions. Atmosphere is fun and lively and all are welcome.

Only thing I dont like is lack of true bench press equipment..Smith machine is alright but they are always full..so the people that are a little more serious have to wait for the people sitting there on the internet to workout.. lack of a scale is no good..people are either looking to lose or gain and cant take a quick look .. other than that its cool.. it be better if there was some more free weights..while one persons idea may be to lose weight..the next person may be looking to gain strength and bench is the core of upper body..

Vallejo, CAPlanet FitnessI joined Planet Fitness when it 1st opened up. I heard good things about Planet Fitness. I signed up right on the spot. The information I gave them was my debit card number, state I.D etc.3 months fly by. I walk in scan my planet fitness I.D. The planet fitness associates tells me my account is not active. I ask him, How is not active its link to my checking account? He stated my card has been declined.I log into my checking account on the spot. I see there is more then enough funds for monthly payments. The Plant Fitness associates states to me its its linked to your ATM card number on file. I remember I reported my card stolen around 2 months ago. I have a new card with a new card number.I offer to pay this balance with my new card number.He said sure 19.99 + 19.99 + 2x late fees = ($??.??)I ask him to take off late fees. He said No. I said Fine, you saved me a swipe. As I walked out of the gym.I amazed by all places how can I be with debt with Planet Fitness? Apparently Planet Fitness needs to know when you loose your ATM card. 1st contact your bank then Planet Fitness right away!

Hate this location. I’ve been here a number of times and had below average experiences. Today I stopped in to shower and there was water all over the floor outside of the showers. Like half an inch. Enough that wearing flip flops did not make a difference as I was still walking in used shower water. One shower had what seemed to be muddy, dirty feet remnants on the shower floor. The next had a missing bag hook. And the third had a doctors glove on the little shelf. Also, what’s up with all the “owner” replies telling paying members to take extra steps in reporting this to the gym. If you are the OWNER change these things.

Joined online, never went to the gym, not even to get the membership tag...said I checked in twice (that’s funny) in one day....funny the day they said I was at the gym 30 min away...I was at work!! U tried it planet fitness...I canceled because I never used...why lie about me checking in and twice in one day??...that’s hilarious...👎🏾

Compared to other Planet Fitness locations, this one isnt great. I travel around the country for work and have been to many of their gyms. I like to use the 30 minute express circuit room. This one has very outdated equipment, with many of the numbers worn off and parts worn out. It was full of people not doing the circuit workout and thus blocking everything.Other things like the treadmills are average and seemed to all be working. Front desk staff was helpful. Tanning equipment was pretty new but dirty.

Im so happy with my Black membership. What an incredible value as I am able to easily access many different locations at any hour of any day.Whether for a workout, a massage, a shower or to use the wifi or even grab a healthy drink.

Clean, pleasant and well-lit. A large variety of machines to work out on and well-maintained. There is something for everyone no pressure.

Pros- its open 24hrs. Cheapest gym membership. No judgement zone is legit. Dudes be working out in boots&Jeans and no one is laughing about it. Lots of treadmills.Cons- No scale. No way of checking your progress.Thats so ridiculous. No sauna or steam room. Because its open 24hrs this is the spot all the homeless people shower around 2am-4am. I wouldnt mind but while I was in the shower this homeless dude was just hacking up loogies and spitting that all in the shower. Disgusting. And there is always a puddle of nasty used shower water outside the shower. All they do is leave wet floor signs instead of actually cleaning it up.

Gym has enough machines that no one needs to wait for anything popular. The locker rooms are clean enough, not the most shining but certainly not dirty. Could use better lighting in the shower.

Great gym! Been going here for the past several years and the staff are friendly and the equipment is well maintained. Very clean and rarely overpacked when I am there.

I really like this gym, the staff is very kind and great place to get a good workout in. Couple things that arent so great is that the restrooms are neglected at times, and sometimes the water machine goes out, and it takes forever for them to fix it. Other than that I feel like you guys are doing a great job!

The staff are pretty friendly and most people are pretty nice. It is in a sketchier part of town so you have to be wary of items you leave in your car and what times of the day you go to the gym, but overall, Ive had really nice experiences working out here. Thanks Planet Fitness!

Welcome to gymmart. super tiny prison showers. my elbows are sore. cant even bend over to wash your feet in that tiny, tiny, tiny, filthy box. changing rooms very filthy. garbage piles up. mold in showers. soap scum in showers. mirrors pulled off of the wall. toilet seats falling off of the toilet and missing. filthy showers. if im supposed to clean the showers, can i get some of the money back i spend on this place?

I really am not one to complain, because the people who work at this location are very nice, but the place is going downhill fast. The bulbs in the tanning beds never get replaced, and barely get u any darker. One bed has had 2 bulbs out for months, and now a third bulb is out in the other bed. The showers used 2 be really warm, but now they are freezing cold. I mentioned it to the manager but it still hasnt been fixed. Not sure what else to do, so im hoping this helps!

Nothing better than a good work out

If youre a beginner, this is the gym for you. Its clean and not busy (around 9pm). Theres plenty of machines to hit every muscle. The smith machine for benching is decent but squating is frustrating and I wouldnt even attempt a deadlift on it.I miss free weights. The setup is basically 3 long rows of cardio machines all facing the weight lifting area which isnt too bad until youre lifting with people looking at you in the mirror. For a real gym experience, Id look elsewhere.

Its got exactly what I need and none of the extras I dont! Work out, plain and simple
