Ok let me get this first out of the way. I really love this gym. Its got all of the equipment and amenities i was looking for. The Staff are always kind, friendly, and helpful.Here is the reason for the one star. I had stopped going to the gym because they did not require masks while working out and the Delta variant started showing the ability to effect young kids, I have a 3yo and another on the way. Today I went back to the gym because over the weekend they announced that masks will be required effective immediately. Now instead of showing up to the gym and seeing everyone wearing masks I see about half of the patrons not wearing masks. One of the staff even stated, if you think the morning is bad you should see the afternoon. The staff are not enforcing the new mask policy. You can set a policy, but if you dont enforce it than its moot.Im not risking my pregnant wife and child. I think its irresponsible to do so. I am suspending my membership ASAP and will leave this review at one star till either 2 situations happen. Guaranteed enforcement of the mask policy, or COVID is no longer considered pandemic.

Great gym, staff is friendly and helpful and always cleaning, especially lately since its under new management. Its reassuring to know that In-Shape is taking covid seriously. Ive been a member since 2016 and this is the cleanest Ive ever seen the gym since joining!Lots of equipment to help you reach your fitness goals, its usually very orderly, although sometimes other gym patrons leave bars, weights, ect out of place. Even with the lack of consideration from those people staff walks through often to put things in order!The indoor pool, hot tubs and sauna are the nicest in Vallejo, and perhaps the nicest out of all the in shape locations in the area, Vallejo is very fortunate to have such a great health club.

Love to workout here. Excellent staffing, indoor and outdoor weights, clean friendly place.

Their weight room is less than desired. Find that 50lb weight? You wont find the other one. This happens with a few other weights. No one seems to be interested in keeping stock of the weights.

Honestly happy to have a outdoor gym..wr can finally hit the weights again thanks in shape!

Rude as heck, not the gym specifically, but customer service i keep getting overcharged and then when I make a complaint I get nothing but attitude! Worst customer service ever.

Ive sent a number of e mails to corporate. My main concern is cleanliness...suggested that hiring a professional after hours cleaning service should be done. Reduce the number of sales/personal trainers and hire experienced sales persons. Clean the pool and spa should be done when members are Not in attendance...the spray of funk is really dissgusting.

Customer service is the worst. I an understand why they were sued

Last week when this opened I would say approximately 80% of the people inside wore masks. This week I would say that percentage dropped to about 30% or less. A portion of the individuals who dont wear masks are also on the heavier side so they breathe harder than the average person. The free weight room is pretty small so a lot of the people in there are nowhere near 6 feet apart. What makes it even worse is a lot of the people who dont wear masks come in groups so they talk loudly amongst eachother releasing their droplets everywhere. Management should really enforce wearing a mask while their members workout to avoid their clientele contracting and spreading Covid within their facilities. If youre at a higher risk of dying from Covid I strongly recommend you avoid this gym.Edit: Wow, when this place reopened on Oct. 1, they have handled the pandemic guidelines very well. The employees make announcements and actually go around the gym to ensure all members are wearing masks properly at all times. The gym is always clean and the workers are very friendly.Cons: Theres only one squat rack, the bathroom is very far from the free weight room, and you still get charged full price even though the basketball and swimming pool are closed and theres a fair amount of equipment, such as mats, locked up.

Been going here for about 3 yrs.its always clean,the staff are always nice and helpful.just started going back and the one thing Im not happy with has nothing to do with them but not being able to use the sauna or pool when I pay for it with my membership .

Apparently there was a remodel but it seems as if the free weights section was left alone. The weights are comprised of at least 3 different brands, with some iron and some rubberized. The place is usually a wreck with plates and dumbbells all over the place. Lastly, the flooring is horrendous, especially in the deadlift and squat rack areas. The uneven surface is concerning when performing either excercise. Would give one star for the gym alone but the guy in there today did a good job of getting everything nice. The other equipment is nice and I enjoy the steam room and sauna when I dont have to hear loud women yelling into their phone about family drama or their significant other.Update* Membership cancelled. Sauna is either regularly not working or I have poor timing. No improvement to free weight section and dont like competing w the noise of loud boom personal speakers. I would suggest management to actually walk through in the mornings.

Club is very clean and dealing with covid caswell as can be expected.

Nice gym. Clean, friendly people, a pool and they have enough equipment so you do not have to wait to use any of them.

Great gym. Lots of different things going on here including an indoor pool. The free weight area could be bigger and would definitely benefit from some newer equipment but otherwise really fantastic. A membership here is a really fantastic value.

Beautiful location and facility...Great care

Its a great facility beautifully remodeled awesome staff! But its so over crowded all the time no workout can be had parking down the street around the corner is a must. Id love to join back if they limited membership but they have over sold membership and pushed those of us who dont want to wait 15 min between machines.

It was great,first time at this inshape, very clean,very spacious, and friendly staff.

Weve been members since before the remodel. It is a great space catered to every level of physical fitness, not just heavy weight gym rats. The pool is a great addition to multiple levels of machines and weights / yoga equipment.

Love the classes. Great motivation even on the worst days. Lots of encouragement from the staff. I was I secure about joining a gym, but the experience has been great. This is the longest Ive consistently worked out in years. Great for the whole family.

Loved going here for the past 4 years, great weight room, and very clean facility overrall.

Could not get a tour without giving all personal info. Seems like a descent place but 2pm on Mon parking lot is packed so assume other reviews are correct about this place being to busy. Also since this place is more gym style with no membership limit seems absurd to require all my details before even getting a tour. Infact the private clubs dont even require that. Guess I will stick to driving the 20min for my tennis n workouts.

I love going early, I am able to get a good workout in and join in on a class or two

As far as the clean workout areas, the friendly staff, and clean locker rooms, I must say the sauna and steam room are horrendous. The reason I signed up at the Lincoln Rd. Inshape was the ability to use the steam room, however I almost stay out of there as people leave their paper towels after trying to cover the thermostat to get more steam, and their empty water bottles. On occasions, there are gnats on the walls of the steam room. How they get there, I have no clue. The steam room needs more attention, as the grout is now discolored, and missing on parts of the tiles. Not sure if that is mold growing on some parts of the tile, but definitely needs a good cleaning, and the odor is definitely a deterrent. I would love to give this place 5 stars. Can we get more attention to the sauna and steam rooms?

This is the best club in the area. It has the most amenities, but depending on the management at a given time, there have been some issues where the service at the club is lower than what Id expect for something in the top tier of their clubs... Broken super tracks that dont seem to get fixed. At one point they stopped cleaning the locker rooms and showers at the end of the day and the shower walls got slimy. The steam room has been known to get shut down a fair bit because it doesnt steam when it needs to and members put water on the sensor to activate it and then it breaks, and the grout between the tiles turned dark from mildew buildup...But as far as having just about everything you could want in one gym, theyve got it. The things that dont measure up have never been bad enough for me to consider going anywhere else. I like this club. Yeah Id like a consistent good working steam room and it could be a bit cleaner, but its not gross. They could just up their game a little, cuz the place is nice and a high level of service would make it top notch.

Have been going to a few months now and think its a great gym. The staff is always nice and helpful. The parking lot can fill up but havent had an issue finding a spot. The towel service is a plus but sometimes they lack on the cleaning. Usually no wait on the equipment.

Great place to relieve stress after a long week! Plenty of machines and equipment. If you want weight room all to yourself, go in the afternoon around 1-2 PM on weekdays.

Its a great experience and has changed our families lives​ we see for the better. The entire staff is amazing and they live what they teach... the classes feel like heaven on earth. Its a beautiful way to continue life.

If the weekend hours were better this gym would be 5 stars, friendly staff and excellent service. The early hours kill it, however.

The staff at in shape are nice and helpful. They offer discounts for state and county workers. Also daycare is nice and the workers are good withe the children. This facility is clean and everyone that works here are very friendly

Light and bright full service gym with good equipment, large swimming pool, weight room, yoga room, basketball court, outdoor tennis courts and steam rooms. Child care available at times. Skilled personal trainers. The facility is clean and well maintained. Parking can be a challenge during peak times.

A good all-around gym with everything. 4 stars and not 5 is because of the parking and the gym members arent as friendly as my other gym.

Basketball pops off nightly around 8:30pm. Good place to play a couple of pick up games. The staff are always nice too.

Great facility minus 2 things: co-ed saunas are not the business and they keep it too cold in the gym.. seems like the AC is too high and too many fans going.

Lots of activities and equipment, but parking quickly fills up during peak-hours (5-8pm).

Clean, and all the staff make you feel so welcomed and are extremely encouraging

Nice gym, spacious, clean and never crowded! Two things that need improvement: Tanning beds are terrible, bulbs are dull and look as if they never replace them. They need better trainers, if Im gonna pay for one, they need to be in shape and know what theyre doing.

I had great experience with In-shape people. I recommend to everyone looking for good gym and nice people.

Nowhere else in the bay area will you find better classes or instructors. They enjoy what they do.

50 plus bucks and the gym closes at like freaking 10 and 930 pm on weekdays and 6pm on the weekends!!! The gym at minimum should be open to private users with key cards or something, at least the weight room. It is not even opened at 4am. Its got strong equipment to use but why is the hours so limited to a place you pay so high for?Its the only good gym in Vallejo sadlyThere is no MMA OR strongman gear here. The lift room is small and crowded alot. I mean you dont even have some punching bags or speed bags up.Its a gym that you should pay 30 bucks for if that.

Usually very clean. Well staffed. Pool is always right temperture. Ample parking. Lighted tennis courts. Really, overall, a vwry enjoyable place to workout, play basketball, etc, good parking, security, family swim certain days amd hours, sauna, steam rooms.

This particular club is bad in cleanliness, bad in customer service, bad in keeping the sauna clean, bad in keeping the steam room in good working condition. Perhaps a lawsuit may be what it needs to get there act together!

Water aerobics is what I enjoy here ...teachers are very good. The rest of the gym is average.

Played basketball inside the gym and had a great time for 2 hours

On our first day coming in it looked nice and all but when they explained everything we found out there was a time to swim and we wanted to swim so we couldnt swim.When we tried to play tennis we asked the front desk if they have the equipment but they didnt so we spent an hour there doing NOTHING.I would have to give one star for how it looked.
