Advance disposal is the worst trash service we’ve ever had. They always throw our bin around and leave it in the road on its side. We’ve had our bin half emptied multiple times and its not packed tight or anything. And when you call the company you won’t even have a chance to talk to anyone because you will sit on hold forever and no one will ever answer. Just pay the extra money for a better company.

Do yourself a favor and choose Deep South... They get better reviews... This Company misses pickup dates and blames you for it. I called them and just told them to pick up the can. I will pay more. They dont care about you as a customer and honestly should not be allowed to serve our community. Nevertheless. They absolutely deserve the rating they have on Google.

Ever since Waste Management bought them out, they have gone from the most horrible, to even worse than worst. They dont follow their schedule, out once beautiful neighborhood now looks trashy from alk the spillage, and they leave out cans laying in the middle of the street to get run over. I have been on hold from open to close everyday this week while I try to cancel my service. I called literally thr minute they open and already get the recording, due to unusually high call volume, your wait time is greater than 10 minutes. I think they are just ignoring people. Guess Ill just let someone steal their cans as Im no longer there.

For years my grandma and i have used advance for any disposal use & we’ve gotten great care up until these last couple months. there was barely anything in our trash can so the wind blew it over instead of one of the men in the truck sitting up the trash can they blew their horn until i came and sat up the trash can. and unfortunately this is not the first time this month we’ve had a problem with them.

For the last 3-4 weeks, I have watched the driver pick up my trash can and put it back down where it falls INTO THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD and he just leaves it there. Then he passes by again to do the other side and neither time does he stop and pick it up from the road and put it back on my driveway. If you are too lazy to do your job the right way, then you will no longer be receiving my money or my recommendation.

Very unprofessional I got left waiting for over a week for them to Come pick up 3 dumpsters and when they finally showed up and only took one

This is outrageous I only rate them a 1 because they do not care if the trash is left on the road after dumping the dumpster they are lazy and wont clean up after themselves... need to be fired and hire some people that actually care about the environment

Absolutely the worst trash company in the business. They dont pick up trash, they just spread it around our parking lot and public street as it falls out of the top of the truck weekly. Every employee knows when the trash was picked up because as soon as you turn down our street you see it littered with trash. In the process of waiting on VPD to write them a ticket for littering. Im tired of this.

Poor service.... More trash is dumped in the yard than the truck.

They hardly pick up when they should. Then want to complain that your trash is over full the following week.

I have had many interactions with them. I only had 1 issue where the driver missed picking up my can and they had to reschedule it for a pickup. Bad for the driver my freezer had gone out and smelled terrible.

I really dont understand the negative comments about Advanced Disposal unless they are posted by the other smaller pickup company in Lowndes County. We have been with Advanced Disposal for several years and have gotten nothing but excellent and prompt service. They never miss a day of pickup, and there is never any trash strewn about like mentioned in some reviews. In addition, the workers at the recycle center off Bemis Road are the most helpful and pleasant people you can meet. Even the people who answer the phones are helpful and pleasant.

This company is actual trash. They dont even pick up half the time on the day that theyre suppose to pick up every week and then they charge you $10 for them to come back and pick it up when you call to tell them that they forgot your trash. Im sorry but why am I paying you for extra for a job you couldnt manage to do the first time? And when I do call to notify them that the trash was not picked up they take forever to get back to me.

Moved to Valdosta 14 months ago, have been using Advanced for my trash service and have had no issues thus far. Have had to call their customer service only once, (with questions, not problems), and they were friendly and helpful.

If you have extra trash that doesn’t fit inside the can you have to call and get a work order for them to pick it up. No one tells you this and they just leave your boxes in the driveway. Prices are high and service quality is low. They “believe in keeping a cleaner community” unless the bags are outside the can apparently.

The day I forgot to put my trash out I called the company and because we are on the way to the dump site they offered to come back by and empty it for us. They did and I was impressed with the fact that they would go to the trouble to do so. This week we decided to order 2 cans as we have grandchildren living with us and have extra trash. However, the gentleman who picks up our trash was good enough to let us refill the can with the extra bags and dump it too. We are very pleased with the way they take care of our trash pickup. Please let them know thanks and keep up the good work.

HORRIBLE. I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE There customer service sucks and no one ever answers the damn phone there. Raise the price $50 every year even when locked in on a set price and contract. I recommend the city sanitation much friendlier and way cheaper, My bill with advanced for 2 weeks a visit was $330 a month switched to the city sanitation and only pay $87.50 a month for 2 pick ups per week.

We have had very few problems, but when we did, we have always gotten excellent and professional customer service. We feel the cost is fair and reasonable, but we also would love to see the home recycle pickup and home pickup for large items, such as furniture, come back as part of the services. Terrible service driver sees the trash fall out the trash bin and will not get out to pick it up for disposal I would not recommend there services to anyone!

So my trash was supposed to be picked up on a Monday. With the trash lid open there was a cardboard box on the top of my trash. The driver took the time to get out of his truck, take a picture of my trash can and then leave. We emailed Advanced disposal only to have a woman named Dana email us back to say “the trash wasn’t emptied because there was a box on it and we needed to remove the box. We emailed back stating that we had never had anyone contact us in the five years we lived here about a can too full. Thursday rolls around and still no pick-up. Call them up and all I got was “sorry we didn’t have any drivers and they would pick up tomorrow. Meanwhile with our five member we now have four bags of trash in our garage awaiting disposal. The lady I spoke with couldn’t care less about this problem so I switched to Deep South Sanitation for a whopping $1 more every three months. If I could rate zero stars I would have!

I would give them 0 stars if it allowed will be switching to a different company. They were suppose to pick up bulk trash last Friday its Tuesday now they say the driver did not see stuff on side of road to pick up because the truth is he was to lazy to get out and do his job

Part of what you pay for is the use of their trash disposal locations, however they don’t empty the bins and turn you away because they’re full. This happens to me one out of every three times I try to use it. They’re selling a service and not providing that service.

If I could give negative 10 stars, I would. this company is the worst. lazy drivers who just skip your road time and time again and you call their so called customer service and they just give you the run around....2 weeks in a row now my can has been skipped with no reason. pathetic.

Great customer service each and every time I have had a question or an issue! Happy so far with the service they provide! My only wish would be to get back the curb service on recyclables!

I agree with previous reviewers. Wouldn’t even pic up a broken down tv box next to can. I called and lady said I would have to call a week in advanced to get permission for them to get box???? High priced low service.

If you have the option, use someone else. They make a ton of mistakes, and trying to get them to correct their mistakes has led to the worst customer service experience Ive ever had.

Overall, my experience with company has been less than satisfactory. This is the first trash service I have dealt with where they do not get out of the vehicle to get your extra trash. Also, if you put any bags on top of your can they will not touch the trash whatsoever. After numerous conversations with them I came to realize that they are endorsing a environment of laziness at which the driver does not have to get out of the vehicle due to safety issues. Additionally, if you have a large amount of trash you need to coordinate with them to schedule a large pick-up. Before they bought out my previous trash service I was pleased with the service that was provided. Ultimately, I switched to Deep South Sanitation due to their great customer service and their willingness to ensure all of your trash is collected without hassle. I would not recommend Advanced Disposal to anyone.

Today the driver spilled the contents of my half-full bin onto my driveway, and then he left as if nothing happened.

Horrible is all I can my trash can has not been picked up in two weeks used to have city of thomasville had two cans and half price. Advanced disposal spills trash every where there driver parks on our dirt eats lunch and trows his trash out the window ZERO STARS

Very very lousy service never pick up on time also costumer service is very bad. try to contact service super-wiser he is also void answer the phone .and in this town no other choice. reason off have a service from this company.

I try not to complain because I know everyone has to change the way they do things in order to transform with todays economy. However, the service went down and the fee went up. Doesnt make sense at all. Also, just one Wednesday I would like to come home to my garbage can actually being upright, closed, and where I left it. Im sick of having to stop before actually pulling in to move it in order to drive to my garage.

The service is always dependable. Our cans are completely emptied. Highly recommended!

I really have no idea how these people can even keep customers, they plain out SUCK! Every week when they come to pick the trash up, they leave more on the ground then they put into the trash truck. Today, was the absolute last straw with these folks, after calling and complaining about the trash all down our road, they get the trash today, leave my trash can laying on its side, with the lid in the middle of the road. I go to get it and the freaking wheel falls completely off, due to thier non caring nature of the job Im sure. This is ridiculous!!!!!!!

No recycling services offered where I live. When I took my clean, washed, recycled plastics to main landfill, they told me they would toss it with the rest of the trash. There is no separate recycling. Which makes me question if they even recycle my plastics at the small drop off site that’s open on weekends only on the other side of town. I had enough, I’m changing my services to another company today.

Often find my trash container down the road or in the ditch...Lowndes County Commissioners should have anticipated the rate hike as Im certain that Advanced low balled their bid the first year to obtain the contract.

Excellent service as far as it goes. I am a senior ....old man and would very much like to have the recycling and yard waste pick-up like it was when Advanced Disposal first started in this area.

Never had a problem with the old service. Since Advance became the only trash choice in Valdosta it has been nothing but trouble. Thanks Lowndes for consolidating to one trash vendor and giving the people zero choices.

I did not like the quality of service provided by this company. They would fail to pick up and the cost was too expensive.

Getting less service(s) but having to pay more is ridiculous. Before, Avanced Disposal was just the average trash service, but now they have changed the way they do some things and I have to pay more money because they eliminated a few of the programs they ran?! Thats not fair, but since I dont have a choice it is what it is.. If you are new to Valdosta and DO have a choice in which company to use AVOID this joke of a place!

Always on time and even when something comes up which is a rare occurance they handle in a timely and professional manner

We keep losing services and prices go up. No large pick ups, now we have to drop off, only 3 days a week. No recycling, no yard debris pick up. Guess regular pick up is alright.

They do not pick up your trash on the day that they designate you and then you have to wait 3 days for them to come back because they forgot you.
