He gave me an estimate on Friday and was able to come and do the siding following Monday. He was honest and reasonable in his pricing. Recommendation for anyone who want siding or windows done. Superior Siding was amazing from start to finish! Jim was very accommodating and made sure we were satisfied. He gave us great ideas on how to make our house look great and never pressured us to do anything we didn’t want to do. We decided to replace the siding on our 1999 home, and heard about Superior Siding and Windows from a neighbor who had had Superior re-side their own home, and spoke very highly of them. We met with Sales Representative Jim Kinning, and were very impressed with his presentation and creative ideas. Wow, Superior Siding and Windows is top notch! From my initial meeting with Chip, to working through the final details with Jim, they really know how to make you feel comfortable from start to finish. When it was time to do the work, Steve and Alan did an exceptional job with my painting and siding. Ive had lots of compliments from my neighbors. Dont get these guys confused with Superior Exteriors who didnt even return my calls. We could not be happier with the work from Superior. We contracted with them to replace our siding, and they out-preformed our expectations. Jim, Chip, and their crews were fantastic to work with. They are hard workers, and their attention to detail is impressive. Even with all my mind/design changes, they kept up with quality work.Jose is a true craftsman. His hand-crafted millwork and 3-D windows has caught the attention of everyone that walks by our house.Also, I mentioned we were thinking about extending our deck, and Jim made that happen, while minding our budget.I will (and have) recommend them to everyone I know.

I had a new roof and gutters.The roof is fine. Called a couple of times to get someone to come out and fix them due to the water sitting in the gutter and not flowing out of the gutter like my old ones. I never got a call back one time. Second time was told they would have someone come out to fix it right at no charge. Months later nothing. Also said I would get a gift card when they were done never got one.

Spoke to Jim several times on the phone. Each time it seemed he had no idea who I was and I always had to explain myself to him again. We scheduled an appointment on a Wednesday morning for him to stop by and begin an estimate. 20 minutes after his schedule arrival time I called and he said he wasn’t going to make it because he was too busy. So, we rescheduled for the afternoon. I even let him name the time. Again, he didn’t show up so I called and left a message. He was prompt to call back and it seemed like he didn’t even remember anything about our meeting and he continued to give excuses that he wasn’t going to make it because they are too busy. Both times I had to leave work to meet him at the house. He wasted almost two hours of my time. Jim explained to me that he prefers to be the salesman for his company, which is fine. Maybe it’s time to hire someone else that cares a little more about their potential customers so Jim can focus on other things.

I would never recommend Superior Siding and Windows to anyone. I contracted them to do a tear off and reside of my personal residence over two years ago. Jim Kinney promised to use only the best products and installers available. They took much longer to complete than originally promised. The workmanship was shoddy and slow. They had to take siding back down and rehang it multiple times. The small roof they installed is so uneven that the new gutters dont work so when it rains my back door becomes a waterfall. The siding has fallen off several times and had to be reattached. Ive called them back out so many times that Ive lost count. Again I have siding hanging off the front of my house, no foundation paint and no crew. Jim promised they would take care of it again.....havent seen or heard from them.Well, its been a little over a month and my foundation is finally painted but my gutters still overflow directly over my back door. The solution Mr Kinney offered would dump all of the water precisely where I asked it not to go (directly in the walk and driveway) because it would create an extreme ice problem in the winter. The siding is falling off both in the front and rear of my house again! I guess I need to call some professionals to remedy the problems.

First off I would like to say that Superior Siding did a fantastic job re-siding our 32 square house in WDM. When they discovered extensive framing damage on our fireplace they gladly and quickly rebuilt the damaged sections at no extra cost! Heres a summary of what they did:Removed the old wood fiber lap siding.Installed a new composite siding.Wrapped all the windows and doors with pvc or metal trim.Installed a new patio door.Painted all the fixtures and exterior bits and bobs.Installed stone on the front of the garage.We really appreciate how well this job was handled and all the while they were super friendly and helpful with the whole process!

Superior Siding & Windows redid the siding, windows, gutters, front porch, backyard deck, and shed at my parents house in Ankeny. The job that they did was nothing short of phenomenal, and they truly took the time and care that was necessary to get the job done right. The cost of them doing the job was far less than the competition and I would highly recommend this service to anyone needing work done on their home. Chip, Shane, and Dusty were all extremely easy to communicate with and very hard working and punctual.

Good company really good workers and good prices

I used Superior for siding, gutter, and exterior painting. They had the cheapest price but in hindsight it was not a good choice. The entire process was extremely slow. Jim was very nice to work with however he was too busy to handle all the work he took on. He was very quick to come out for me to sign the contract. Then progress slowed. Weeks went by and I was never contacted to get measurements for the windows. After the initial few weeks passed I initiated several calls asking for a date to take measurements and get a window order in. It was a month and a half after signing the contract when a guy arrived for 15 mins of work to take measurements. The manufacturing delays were no fault of Superior Siding. Jim mentioned to expect delays so that was not a surprise. When the windows were finally received they sat and the work did not start. I contacted Jim twice a week for several months. I was told the work would start on several different dates that arrived and passed. Jim was not great at communicating changes and delays. I usually had to contact him the next day to mention no one showed up and ask for his new plan. The painter was not trustworthy. After showing up the first thing he did was try to swindle me into overpriced additional work. In the end he did not complete all the work as listed in the contract and refused to come back. The tie between Jim and this painter fell through due to the integrity problems of the painter. It took more than another month for Jims other painter to finish the work as he kept putting me off for other projects. What could have been completed in two months ended up taking a painful 6 months to see completion. Jim did make things right in the end. However even after suffering all these challenges I had to wait a long time for the resolution. The communication, avoidable delays, quality of the work, and quality of the contractors were not acceptable.RESPONSE: I did not make a side deal. You chose to send a contractor to my house who is at best dishonest, but in reality someone that scammed your customers. You didnt check up on the project at any point. You just subbed out all the work and walked away. The results of choosing to send him to your customers is a responsibility and liability of yourself. You took a chance on him and he let you down. Mistakes happen. When he arrived the first thing he did was upsell me on the job. He lied and said that he worked out the pricing with you. I was being lied to and you were being lied to. Internalize this criticism. You chose a terrible business partner and didnt check up on them or me to find that something was awry in time. That is your mistake and both of us had to pay for it. Accept that the root cause of this issue is loose controls and project management from Superior. Until there was a huge problem you didnt check on or oversee the work or your subs. I did not set out to breach any contract. The guy that you hired for the work lied to me that you quoted the work and he is a scammer who did not finish the work. Please work on better managing the business. Customer blaming is not a very good strategy for addressing shortcomings in business management. If you learn anything please learn that you had a role in how this came to be. I find it troubling you think this is my fault. I really wish none of the problems happened and that I could write a glowing 5 star review. That was my hope for the project. Please do not show up randomly at my house again for any reason. I do not wish to further argue with you. My front door camera recorded your visit the last time. Seasons greetings.

We just got our house completed which included all new windows and siding by Superior Siding and Windows. The workers along with the project manager were top notch. When you have any exterior project, this the company to use. We had the roof redone, new gutters with gutter toppers added, the siding painted, and Jims team even repaired some of the siding where there was water damage. We thought about getting new vinyl siding but ultimately went for a repainting. The house looks great! The only downside was that getting the house completely painted took longer than we expected, partially due to weather, and my wife and I werent expecting it.The plus side however is that our roof doesnt leak, we dont have to ever do any gutter cleaning again, and I no longer have to drive up to a fleshy-pink colored house after work. Five stars on the customer service and we are especially impressed with the roofers and siding pros. Ive never seen a crew get to it like that.Note: there are a couple of companies calling themselves Superior which is NOT the same company. Superior siding and window systems is the only one. If youre not sure you got the right one, ask for Jim.

Previous owner of our home had work done by Superior Siding over ten years ago. There was some wind damage and we needed to replace a panel or two of siding. I spoke to Chip on the phone and he was extremely helpful. Looked up the original work order, determined the brand and color of siding, then called up the supplier to determine if they had it in stock (which they did, amazingly). Chip didnt have to do any of that and there was no $$ in it for him to help me, but he did it anyways. Thats what I call ethical and going the extra mile. They will have my future business.

Let me tell you, the positive rating is real. These guys are amazing! Jim coordinated new siding (custom order) and stone for our house. The siding team- Shane, Ken and Dusty went above and beyond to meet our expectations. The team was extremely friendly, open to feedback and always willing to correct or change things on the fly. They not only took care of the siding, but maintained attention to detail. Towards the end of our project, a TV service installer came out to re-install my satellite dish (on a pole) and run some cable. I purposefully scheduled this during a time when the siding team would be on site and the two could coordinate running cable under the new siding. Unfortunately, due to some miscommunication, the TV installer ended up screwing black coaxial cable along the side of the house on TOP of our brand new siding. I was sick to my stomach. Without wavering, the siding team stepped up to the plate and assured me that they would order more panels and replace the damaged pieces. *Remember, this siding is custom order!* While this was not their issue, they offered to be part of the solution. That goes a long way with me.

Superior siding is doing a screen room for my folks. They are no more than a labor broker. They do not do what they are asked of, and leave it on all their contractors to figure it out for them. As a carpenter of 17 years and a commercial electrician for 5 years, I have not yet seen this much innattention to detail. I would never recommend them, not even for a doghouse.

I was looking for a company to install siding, windows, roof, gutters and a deck. I wanted 1 company that could do it all and Jim from Superior was the guy! I interviewed several contractors selling mostly the same products, but Jims prices and presentation stood him apart. He coordinated the job from start to finish with good communication along the way. As with any construction project there were minor delays, however communication is the key and Jim would always call. Wow! Our house looks amazing, and every step of the process went smoothly and hassle-free. Jim is so low-pressure and easy-going with clients, but really stays involved in the project to assure perfection. He gave great advice all along the way to be sure we were thrilled with the results. There were so many extra touches throughout the job (flashing and trim added to all windows, decorative vents, custom millwork, etc.) Talented, hard-working crew that cleaned up every day before they would leave the site. Jim gave me a very fair quote for the work performed and his team went above and beyond to ensure that I was happy with the end result. I have a very old home that had quite a bit of rot on one windows due to some past termite damage. The installation team made sure to repair it the right way, not just a patch job, even though it caused some headaches and extra work along the way. Im very happy with the final product.

I dont leave many google reviews. However I felt this one was deserved. I worked with Chip. I hired them to do my roof, leaf guard and gutter my house and shed. I have never had a person or company follow through and have the dedication to make sure I was happy with the work as these guys. We are particular and hold people we hire to high standards and these guys did not disappoint. Chip returned whenever we needed him including holiday weekends to and did not quit until we were 100% satisfied. He did a ton of extra steps other companies would never even think to offer. At a minimum you need to at least speak with these guys before you decide.

After calling several other siding companies, Jim quickly returned my call and showed me all the options that were available to me. His custom mill work and detail work in the pictures he showed me were very impressive. He had several testimonial letters that seemed to good to be true. My wife and I went out and looked at some of Jims work and talked to his past customers. I got several bids for a siding project and Jims bid was not only the lowest, but included several upgrades and enhancements not offered by other vendors.
