Not happy with my rental car. Good gas mileage but it did not drive well on the interstate. The car weaved left or right as if there was a strong cross wind but there wasnt any.

Delaney and staff were always very pleasant in all our dealings during the rental of my transportation following my car wreck that left my car unusable. Staff was quite fair and respectful in all of our dealings.

The pick up went well with no problem. Saw plenty of cars on the lot. Was told Mondays are generally okay, less on the weekends. The car performed as expected after driving 1100 miles in 5 days. The return was likewise with no problem. Employees were pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. Would definitely recommend Enterprise.

This was an insurance rental because of one of our cars needing some repairs. The car had such a bad smoke smell my wife wouldn’t even get in it. We literally never drove it because it smelled so bad. It smelled enough of smoke that when we left it in the garage overnight with the windows down the entire garage smelled like smoke the next day. This is not the first time we have gotten a car from Enterprise that smells badly of smoke. Clearly they are not enforcing the “no smoking” policy in their cars and their cleaning practices are not adequate to deal with the situation when it does happen.

I literally just picked up my rental and they have the most sweetest kindest worker there by the name of Keely I truly hope I spelled her name right but she was amazing when I rent another car I will personally ask for her help again and the staff was very nice they all told me to have a good day

There were things that should have been explained to me better. I was not told that if I used a debit card then I had to pay an additional deposit. I found this out when picking up the vehicle. Then on the day it was returned I was under the impression the location was closed and that i just needed to drop it off and put the keys in a drop box. So I was not aware the vehicle needed to be returned by a certain time. Since I was under the impression they were closed I thought I could go anytime. This was not the case and they ended up charging me for another day. I tried explaining the miscommunication hoping they would understand and work with me on the additional charge. They did not. The girl didn’t show any empathy and just blew me off and just charged me and basically told me it is what it is. Not very good customer service.

This Enterprise location does wonderful business. I’ve been coming here for the past couple of months and have had exceptional service every single time. The staff is very accommodating and knowledgeable. Great selection of vehicles. We always get treated with the upmost respect here. If I could give this location 10 stars I would! Highly recommend.

Staff was very helpful & friendly. Car was extremely dirty & smelled terrible. It had balls of cat /dog hair everywhere. Other than that everything was great!

The store I worked with was very courteous and gave me a ride home after my rental period. I would have preferred to talk directly with that store vs the call center when reserving my car. But, aside from that, the experience was seamless, even when I had to extend my rental period in the middle of my experience. Thanks, Enterprise, for making the process simple.

I was a bit disappointed, I spoke with the manager a few time trying to reserve a Pickup truck at 28.00 per day. First the website said they had it but the manager said they didnt, he offered to look for one. Later that day /i called back he said he had not found one yet, but he would offer me a mini van or an SUV at that price, reluctantly I agreed to the mini van. I called before I went to pick it up and the manager said he had just gotten a truck in so I asked him to hold it for me and I would be there within 30 minutes. When I arrived he had a worker take me to the lot to show me a 15 passenger van which i never asked about then an Equinox which was too small the a Mini Van that had just came in as well. When I asked if he would honor the price of the truck he sad No I only said I would look for a truck for you, I then said well then what about the one that just came in? He said no because it had to be serviced! I felt I had been lied to and was only able to rent what he wanted to rent me! And for more money! I will never use this location again. The young man who actually waited on me was very nice but the Manager in my opinion should never deal with the public! No people skills and not a man of his word!

Great staff that work hard to get you the car you want.

Easy to get the paperwork done and pick up the car. However, it wasnt the car we wanted or expected. We requested a Cadillac or something comparable but were given the choice of a Mazda CX9 or a Dodge Charger. We were told the 2020 Mazda was the best ride. Our 6 year old Ford Explorer with 123k miles wouldve done better. It was a decent vehicle, but not at all what we wanted for the trip. Just tell us up front you cannot accommodate our needs.

Following damage to my automobile (no one was injured). The auto insurance I have had an Enterprise Rent-A-Car reserved for me. They took the info from me and handed me the keys. what do I owe you? I ask. Your insurance covered it, did everything go well? YES. Thank you Enterprise.

Rented a car in Maryland and drove home to Iowa for 2 weeks,. Returned the car to this location, it is on the same lot as a car dealership so getting back to the rental place was a cluster. However, the service was GREAT and the guy who helped me was so friendly. Check out was smooth. This was my first time renting through Enterprise and he let me know that this location does not charge a deposit on credit cards! I always thoughts Enterprise charged a $250 deposit for rentals which is why I never used them before but knowing this information, I will use them going forward when I return home again for a visit in the fall. Thanks so much :)

Need more attention to type of vehicle needed or requested

Very quick service and they were super accommodating due to the storm that hit. I wasn’t able to return the car on time because of the downed power lines on highway 17, but they didn’t charge me extra. I would definitely recommend and use again if needed.

Needing a rental was last minute, so enterprise got an extra star for coming through with a car when I needed one and had to extend contract for unforseen circumstances, they made that part easy. The car, however, is pretty basic for the salty price (glad my business is footing the bill) and not impressed with cleanliness (quick vacuum and basic carwash kinda thing). Actually had to do the windows myself after I left they were so bad. But, I mean, its a rental place, so, there it is.

0 stars wasnt an option. This was my second try at renting a vehicle from this location. I was placed on a 72 hour holding period but wasnt told this until I showed up to pick my car up. 0 cars were available. They will not follow through with anything. CONSIDER OTHER OPTIONS!

The car I was issued had such a film on the inside of the windows I found it unsafe to drive. I got the car on a cloudy day, so I did not notice it at Enterprise. Hower after I left I noticed the film, and streaks on the windows. I am not sure if it was a spray on disinfectant or just build up. However when headlights or sun hit the glass ot was not safe. First time I have ever had to clean a rental car before I could drive it.

Had an issue with the tire pressure light when picking up the car. Was told it would go off after driving 20 to 30 miles. About 40 miles into our trip on a Sunday a warning for low tire pressure came on. Stopped to check, seemed fine, had to stop a number of times to check. Light stayed on our whole trip, never really a problem just a little worrying any time we drove..

What a rude and poor excuse of a company. I called for an appointment to be picked up with my son after dropping off a car for work to be done. I called two weeks ahead of time, I called and verified the time and location the morning of the appointment and was still left waiting for 40 min. Called the office at 12:07, the appointment was set for noon, and he said his guy left 5 min ago...meaning his guy had already left several min late. Then I get a called asking which location I was at despite me confirming this I formation just three hours earlier. The. The man who picked up was nice so that was at least the good part.

Received an upgrade only due to the original vehicle had 1 bad tire and inside was dirty and there was what appeared to be smeared chocolate on the arm rest. Received an upgrade to a vehicle that was dirty inside and out, had 78 miles left in gas tank, the inside of vehicle smelled of smoke (had to buy air freshener just to help) and the windows were fogged over with smoke layer on inside. This location did not take care of vehicles very well or offer to clean before giving to me.

I had this reservation booked for almost 8 months. I requested several times for a Tahoe. They did not have that available when I arrived, which was really disappointing. I wanted to upgrade and they did not have any premium suv upgrades either. The trip did go well, though.

Have rented from them a summer, good prices and nice help, but need to do a better job on cleaning interiors.

The staff here has always treated me professionally and with my best interest in mind. They have always been very accommodating with my late reservation requests and tardy returns. My work has me traveling a lot, and no matter which part of Des Moines I live in I will continue to use the Urbandale location.

Miller (Des Moines location) was exceptional in helping me get a rental car! With our recent weather and damage, lots of rentals were extended and not coming back for booked rentals - he did a top-notch job!

The rental car had been smoked in. We rented for a 2 week trip. Allied after hours and they tired to help us but to no avail no cars available to we had to deal with cigarette smoke for 2 weeks. Returned it a day early and was told we would get 1 day refund still waiting for that. Never had anything like this happen before.

I totaled my car in January 2020. What a way to start a new year. I knew I wanted a Kia Soul, not new, but close. Since I was renting a car from Enterprise, I connected with their used car salesman, Josue. He was very patient, found me a beautiful bright cherry red Kia Soul with reasonable mileage. He was friendly, helpful, and the process went very smooth. Edin, their Finance Manager was honest, friendly, and got me a great financing interest rate. There wasnt anything more they could do to make my car shopping experience pleasant, transparent, and smooth....except maybe donuts.

I always have a great experience with Enterprise. Even when they are extremely busy, as you would expect from a quality business, they maintain professional, personal service for all. My car was a little dirty when I picked it up and they cleaned it and made it right promptly without question. I highly recommend Enterprise for your next rental car need.

Historically great service led me to reserve a large suv for a family vacation - received a call 2 hours before pickup that the vehicle was not ready as it needed an oil change and may not be done in time for pickup - asked if interested in a smaller vehicle to which I replied it would not work. They told me they would call other locations but at the point I was notified, I was stuck with no solutions available. I was told that they would try to have it avaiavle the next day, again offered the only solution they had, a vehicle that would not work for my family. I called them on Saturday after the they opened. The car was ready. I picked it up (no offer to help me out with by arranging for a more convenient delivery of vehicle) - 7 phone calls and a 12 hour delay in leaving for our vacation trip left me disappointed in the experience. No empathy from the staff, nothing to adjust the rate based on the delay. The only “solution” was to give me a deep discount on a smaller vehicle (this now the third attempt to get me into a car that would not work) - no apologies or desire to offer any other type of help

I totaled my car last Tuesday . I went to my local Enterprise outlet on Thursday and rented a car for a week thinking it might take me that long to deal with the insurance company and shop for a replacement vehicle. In addition I had a 2 car class upgrade. Much to my surprise I found a replacement vehicle on Saturday so turned in my rental then. They prorated my weekly rental and sent me on my way.They have great people at this location and I recommend them highly if you need to rent a car.

Took over an hour and a half to get the car after we booked it on line.When we got there they needed a utility bill proving are address.Wish they would have told us before we drove an hour.They gave us a fax number to have the electric company send a copy of a bill.After an hour they realized they gave us the wrong fax number.Car was in good shape and clean.No problems with the car

Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I was picking up my car at 1:00 on a Friday before a holiday weekend so the wait time was longer than expected to get helped. The only issue I encountered was they did not have the size car I reserved so I had to take a smaller car or wait an indefinite time for the next group of cars to come in. Not sure what the purpose of reserving is if they arent actually holding a car for me. They did give me a free tank of gas to accommodate.

We have rented many cars in the past and decided to go with Enterprise this time. Glad we did. The whole process was easy and had fewer issues than we have had in the past with other rental companies. We will definitely use them again.

I rented a minivan for a week long trip. The staff was quick to help me with the paperwork and get me on the road. I needed all the stow and go seats put down for me prior to leaving which they did. This was the third straight rental in which the car was dirty when I picked up the car. This car even had pet hair on the seats, which the agent noted. No replacement car was offered or another cleaning. All windows were filthy on the inside, which I cleaned myself at the first opportunity.. I have been a National Emerald Card owner for years (since 1994) and now use Enterprise because of its proximity to my home. National is part of Enterprise. I understand they need to turn cars quickly, but another 15 minutes of cleaning would provide a better customer experience. I have discovered that Hertz has a local presence as well - guess where I will go next time?? I only gave this review one star because zero stars will not postMark Miller

I absolutely love this location. Theyre always so professional and quick. I gladly drive the extra distance just to rent at the specific spot. I used to rent from the downtown location but the manager and I got into a disagreement over a phone call we had before I arrived. She was very rude to my mother and I who were regular customers. But the Urbandale location is best place to rent a vehicle.

Arrived a few minutes past the scheduled pickup time to get an intermediate car, and the only car available was a Ford Fiesta - not sure if this is an economy or compact class, but we thought it would be a long 450 mile ride, so we waited for another car to be cleaned. We got a Toyota Camry - a good size for this one-way trip to far Northern Minnesota. We asked where to park our own car that we were leaving for the day, and were told anywhere in the back row....where there was foot deep snow. Fortunately we had our 4WD vehicle, so it was able to work its way in.After signing all the paperwork promising not to smoke or leave a lot of pet hair in the car we drove off and after a few miles noticed a strong smoke odor. We called to make sure they wouldnt charge us for that, and were given a credit on our rental for the inconvenience - nice touch. They offered we could return the car and get another, but knowing they were short on cars, this seemed like a bad plan.We drove to southern Minnesota and stopped for the night due to a fierce snowstorm. When we got out to the car in the morning we discovered there was no snow brush or scraper. A bit of a problem in Iowa, but certainly a bigger one as you move into the northern hinterlands.We drove the remaining 6 hours to our one-way drop-off destination. When we got there no one was working at the rental counter and a call to their phone number went to voicemail. I left the car with a note, and everything turned out OK, but was a bit apprehensive to leave it at 12:30 PM without an employee present.Car ran well and got good gas mileage. Just expected a bit more for a $225 one-day rental.FOLLOW UP: I was contacted by the Enterprise office apologizing for all the issues. They offered a very generous accommodation for all our problems.

A deer hit my car and I was in need of a rental. We went to Enterprise and they were wonderful. Very helpful and got us into the car very quickly. Even though the insurance company paid for it I was very impressed by the professionalism of everyone. We had an open end lease on the car due to our car being fixed. When I brought it back there was no problem. Very friendly people who where more than willing to help and took away some of the stress that comes with an accident. I would highly recommend to anyone. I always use Enterprise. They have always been the very best!The candy at the desk always helps put a smile on your face :)

This is my second time renting a car from this location this year. The first car in January was so dirty you could write your name in the dust on the dash. It had a stack of someone’s papers and food crumbs all over the console. It had “just been cleaned”The second car in October was somewhat better, the office staff took it back and cleaned it a second time when I told them it hadn’t been cleaned. Even the exterior was covered in road grim and had just been sprayed with water. This car had a terrible glitch with the backup camera that was always freezing. There was what appeared to be a bullet hole in the headrest. The rear view mirror was always falling off, because the screw to hold it on was missing. I vacuumed the car the second week and found food and wrappers that didn’t belong to me in and under the seats. The cleaning staff here is just terrible and need replaced. Wouldn’t rent here by choice.

1st car was a smokers car, though rented as a non-smoker... found cigarette ash on the floor. We returned it.2nd car was okay, though needed a good interior cleaning.Enterprise is not what they used to be. But Im sure well use them again, maybe.

Quick and easy process, in and out. We were given a 2017 Ford Expedition to drive for 3 days. The staff was so kind and helpful. My only complaint is that I dont think the vehicle was detailed as well as it could have been. But it was great and we enjoyed it.

I reserved my car online, which made the pick up quick and easy. The young man that assisted me was professional and courteous. He did not try to pressure me into choosing any extra add ons. The car was great and the rental process was very smooth. The only complaint I would have is that they did not have the option to turn on the Sirius for the duration of my rental even though the car had it. It would have been nice because there is not a radio station to be found in some parts of our country!

Rented a Chevrolet impala for a week nice ride, courteous staff very busy today
