Love it. If you’re a serious lifter, probably go to the ARC instead.
Im getting their with the execrise class!!
Testing was quick and easy.
This is a recreation center at University of Illinois. Students, staff, and faculty can use with annual or semester based fees. It is not the best facility I have ever seen but it is okay with swimming pool, track, exercise equipment, and other indoor sports facilities. The parking garage across the facility is free after 5 pm for public use but be careful while walking from your parked car to the exit of the garage as exiting vehicles may not see pedestrians while making a left turn at garages first level to ground level.
Got my covid shot there
This is the Perfect, clean environment to work out.
They may need to check up their treadmill. The machine is really strange. I set 60 mins. But the machine is only working for 52 mins. And the machine in 7.0mile per hour setting was not malfunctioning. However the facilities are better than before, such as more clean and more organized. This place is crowded in the vacation time because ARC is closed. Overall great
Gives great flu shots
Covid testing here is super fast
Excellent place for UI people workout or play ball games here! The volleyball courts have many nice and friendly people come and play randomly.
Smaller than ARC, but often less crowded. For everything but weight lifting, it is probably nicer, especially if it is closer. For weight lifting, it has limited equipment that quickly gets filed.
I went here once for leg day, peppering my angus to squat about 350. To my horror, there was only one squat rack, and someone was using it to do curls! I asked the guy to explain himself, to which he responded, I dont even lift! I then looked around and came to the conclusion that pretty much no one in this gym even lifts. So I go to ARC instead.
All good but if you buy their master lock it wont work.
Nice place wish they had more benchs
Not bad. Not enough free weights (bench, squat, press, deadlift). Also, no bouncing plates for deadlifts. Weird because the ARC has them.
Not as big as Arc, but it has everything you need
My best place to play and work out
Best place to go and run away from winter, literally
Nice equipment. Dont come at popular hours though, because its packed
Lots of friendly people workout here. The staff is very nice and helpful. The jacuzzi jets are turbo charged ;)
This is the smaller of the two campus facilities but it is easier to navigate and Is a beautiful place to work out.
Never too crowded in the mornings like the ARC so this was always my first choice to work out.
Best feature is the hot tub
Good place to do sport
There is always space available for whatever workout you choose and it tends to be less crowded than the ARC.
Good gym, new equipment very crowded during the school semesters.
Great facility and super nice staff
The staffs are so nice
Very well maintained gym.
Nice facility if you can find your way through the detours!
Good place for a fun time but loud and unorganized
Beautiful. Beautiful. Beautiful.
Large machine selection and not as crowded as the ARC.
My favorite gym.
Close to students who live in Urbana. It got almost everything you need.
Good Place, Good Facilities.
This is a great place to go swimming.
Compact fit center, with nice hot tub.
Feels like the Caribbean!
Great place to take exercise.
Good place
Large, clean, and great for early morning workouts
Well maintained, great facility
Clean and big amenities
I love it
Decent gym
