Im not a fan of where this Planet Fitness is located, but I like that they seem to have newer machines. The interior is clean and well maintained. Also, the employees are very nice and helpful with whatever you need.

The staff at the Urbana Planet Fitness are nice and eager to help and set up whatever you need. The entire store is clean and there are cleaning stations with paper towels and cleaning fluids. 10 plus score for this location and staff!

I spoke with manager Amanda twice on the phone about a job listing she had listed she called my phone invited me for an interview after her phone screening.... I arrive to interview upon meeting me tried to offer me less money than she has posted or her listing and after Admitting she didn’t knownillinois minimum wage I didn’t accept the job offer because I believe skin color played a huge part in the pay reduction other than she has posted and reposted after I left... also I’m a US Navy Veteran I’m just appalled that this happened and would definitely like to go corporate

Was offered a job at the Urbana location manager tried to under pay me baserd on my skin color...i would not reccomend joining this branch

Its a great gym. Staff is always friendly only downfall is having to wear a mask during exercises. Hard for me to breathe while running with it on but other than that I would recommend!!

Nice, cheap place to workout. Equipment is good for the price. Everyone working out wears a mask, so I feel safer. Lots of parking available outside.

Nice staff, clean. Miss the use of lockers. Although I understand! We just need patients for the circumstances we are faced with.

Mask policy too extreme now. It made sense at first but now they want you doing it while you exercise. So rip if you want to work out in any intense sort of way. I recommend not going here until thats changed. That is all.

The fact that when I dont feel like driving to Champaign location,your literally in my back yard..Its alil more close knit than other location,gives me the feeling of being a Human again since COVID has turned Socializing into thoughts of Inhumanity.

The Urbana facility is always clean, has friendly, helpful staff and is never over-crowded. I can always get on a machine or to the weight area. The only downfall is not enough room for stretching. Would love to see more room for this.

Very friendly staff, smaller establishment, but new, high quality equipment. I actually enjoy going to the gym now since its not so big. Its easy to navigate through and to get in a great solid workout. Thanks PF!

We are very happy that we joined Planet Fitness. Staff are friendly, theres plenty of diverse equipment and its very clean. Were sad they are closed right now, but totally understand.

The managers do a good job of reporting when things need repair but the hydro massage needs repair and the technicians don’t fix them. #4 is everyone’s favorite but #5 has had issues for weeks and still today. One massage chair has been broken for weeks and the other has no massage in the seat area - only the back. The place is very clean - no issue there. The technicians need to fix things faster. Another club just closed so more joined and it would be nice for everything to work!

I have always been in an university gym (with all the facilities including playground and swimming). After getting out from school, I joined in here. I was not confident at the beginning, but I liked it with time. All the equipments are well maintained and washrooms are clean. Peak hours are busy everywhere, but 24 hours gives you flexibility to come to gym anytime. Staffs are knowledgeable, big parking lot and on bus route.

If youre torn between the Champaign or Urbana locations, the only real difference is size, with Urbana being somewhat smaller. Still worth the price of admission.

The gym is clean and has a good amount of equipment so even when it is a little busier you can still get a good 30-45 minute workout without a lot of waiting. The staff is pretty friendly, the trainer is really nice and helpful. Decent price!

Perhaps the most compact planet fitness Ive been to yet. Has all the basics, just feels itty bitty. Like a cute little pocket gym. Doesnt matter so long as it gets the job done.

For the price Planet Fitness is a great deal. This location is clean and the equipment is in decent shape. However, the staff are often away from the desk when you need them.

In general planet fitness is great. Tried some free fitness classes, massage and 30 minutes workout. Oh yes, this branch gives free pizza on first Tuesday of the Month.

I think it is a very clean place. Night crew great specifically Pedro is a fantastic employee. I wish there could be a full length mirror in the womens locker room (and the mens has a full length mirror but not in the womens .......seriously) also no ventilation at all in the womens locker room (just think anyone who goes in the use the bathroom and no ventilation ). Lastly it sure would be nice to have medicine balls there.

Its VERY clean, the staff is friendly, the equipment works and theres never a wait, appreciate the inclusive & body-positive environment, fresh flowers in the womens locker room, and the cost is very reasonable. Its a great gym.

I travel, and this is a great planet fitness. Clean, fellow customers are courteous. They have 3 stairmaster machines, which I really appreciate. Machines all look new and well maintained.

Great place and super cleanDont like their ads claiming $1- down and $10 /mo. Yes that is true and a great deal. However its false advertising..they charge an annual $40 fee they dont tell you until youre signing..still a good deal..but not a fan of deceitful advertising.

Ive been to probably 10 different Planet Fitness locations and this one is by far my favorite. They keep it a cool temperature so you dont get too hot when working out. Along with the large TVs, each cardio machine has its own smaller TV with more channels to choose from, which is awesome. Its also super clean and I like that it still has the ab and stretching area, as some locations have gotten rid of that.

Generally, its a good gym. Despite that theyre trying to cultivate a culture thats not intimidating beefcakes and fitizens, I overheard one of the assistant managers, a female, tell one of the staff that ellipticals and Arc Trainers are worthless. I think for her, being that she looked athletic, may have rung true, but its clear she doesnt fit the model or demographic that actually go to that gym, nor does her attitude seem to suggest that shes there to help. My point being some people that go there cant do high impact workouts like stair climbers or run on the treadmill, so any activity is better than nothing.To clear the air, get your work out in however you can within your means and comfort level. Dont let beefcakes and fitizens like this person intimidate you from doing something good for yourself.Its inexpensive. Theyve got pretty well maintained machines and it you need something to eat, they have pizza and bagels on certain days of the month. I only broadcast that last piece because were in a college town in a more impoverished side of Urbana, so, some people need a meal and to get a workout too. No shame in that.

Black card great value! Many exercise physiologists say resting muscles after intense exercise as important as the exercise. The massage equipment really helps with strength building routine!

Clean facility. Equipment is always working correctly. The locker rooms and showers are large and very clean and nice. I think the usability and cleanliness of the showers are a big deal

My wife and I really like the Planet Fitness. This fitness center is close to our home, and all equipments are new. We Really like their hydro massage bed and massage chair.

Great gym, staff works hard to keep everything clean and machines working.Only downside is it’s a small gym in size. Great for a quick workout, due to the size of the building this P.F does not have as many machines or all the equipment that large P.Fs have. Just look at the busy hours online and plan your workout ahead.

Planet Fitness is clean, all their machines work well, and their staff is very friendly. Its never very busy and their no judgement policy makes me feel safe and welcome. They are open 24 hours, which is great!

Honestly, the first time I came here more than a year ago I was unimpressed and didnt particularly like the staff. But now, I go almost every day. The staff is great, very friendly and personable. They are helpful and they dont hover unnecessarily. The equipment is nice and pretty new, and what I call the spa area is very nice as well (where the massage chairs and beds are, plus some other stuff). I like the way this gym is set up, except for one thing. The treadmills dont face the windows, so I cant look outside while running. Thats one thing the champaign planet fitness will always have over this one, although this one doesnt ever have problems with its water. You win some, you lose some.Also, this is a great place to work out with friends. The whole no jugement thing is for real, and I feel very confident in myself when I work out here. There are also significantly less weirdos and creeps than at the champaign one.

Great place to go. Truly a no judgement zone. Employees always friendly and willing to help. I wish there was one closer to me.

The urbana staff is very rude and disrespectful.I have been in this store many times and have been ignored, passed over for others stood in line before for 15min with noone to acknowledge me or others that were in line also....I am very disappointed in this planet fitness...The manager himself is very rude and unfriendly!!!! I pay money every month to be treated with such disrespect I am very disappointed in this establishment!!!!
