Went to the firm to get my taxes done for 2018. I did not have a chance to sit down with Mr. Paneque himself since he was not taking any more appointments this season. I submitted my W-2 as well as my 1099 and wrote all of the expenses I wanted to get written off on a piece of paper which was attached to my documents.While I was pleased that everything was done in a timely matter, I was quite dissatisfied with the fact that the deductions I wanted applied were not. The firm stated that everything I asked to get written off was included in the return. I had to come back twice on the top of my original visit with each time finding out not everything was written off. If I didn’t check, the firms negligence would have cost me an additional ~$5,000 in federal and state taxes.I was not offered any discounts on the tax preparation costs nor did I even receive an apology for making multiple mistakes and making me come back multiple times.I had a terrible experience and will be taking my business elsewhere next year.
