I am staying temporarily in Ukiah. I had been on a day trip and noticed a cooling light come on my 97 Benz. It was a late Friday afternoon. By the time I returned to Ukiah, Lopez Automotive was closed. So, I left a message. And wouldnt you know it, I received a return call that same evening. Tony agreed to take a look the next day, a Saturday. The water pump had gone out and needed replacing. Given the age and type of vehicle, it took a day to get the part. Tony was kind enough to drive me back to check out getting a rental car (none available) and then took where I am staying. Well, as he expected, the water pump replacement arrived and he promptly installed. My experience did not stop there. Given how impressed I was with Tonys skill and most importantly HONESTY, I decided to go back and ask for his help with an HVAC problem. This took a little longer to figure out and sure enough, he figured it out and the system has never worked better. Whether you are local or from out of town, I highly recommend Lopez Automotive. Lazy. Called asked if he could replace my power steering box which would have only took him about two hours and he didn’t seem like he was motivated to work or get paid so I replaced it myself. Thank you Napa Automotive. Beware because he said it would take to midnight to replace. I’ve replaced them before but was on vacation and wanted to pay someone to do it for us. He said “you should do it yourself” so I did. I wouldn’t recommend this guy....look around for someone better.

Tony saved my @$$ last weekend! My truck decided to not start back up after I stopped for gas in Ukiah where I was just visiting for the night. Luckily we found Lopez Automotive online and called Tony and he just happened to be working on a Saturday. He worked hard to troubleshoot my wiring issue and even stayed late to make sure he got it done so I could get back home on Sunday as planned. Other shops in town said they couldnt see me until Thursday so I would have been stuck and missed work. Thanks Tony!!

On Memorial Day evening, I had the car loaded up with a bunch of stuff including two kids ready to drive back home, I turned the key and chug, chug, chug. No way it was going anywhere. I called Tony, he was the only mechanic I called who picked up. He said. no problem have it towed here and well get it going. So, thats what I did. He had the part ordered the next morning (fuel pump), and had it ready to go in the afternoon. BUT, at that point I was stranded an hour away with no taxi service anywhere. He offered to come get me, which he did, and we were on the road that evening. Tony saved the day. Amazing!Tony is a great mechanic and an even greater guy!Highly recommended!

My brakes started sounding funny while driving through the Mountains nearby, took my Chevy Silverado to Antonios Shop and he immediately wanted to take a test drive and see what the issue was. He identified that the front brakes needed to be replaced. Parts arrived fast and he replaced them in just a couple of hours and was able to hit the road that same afternoon. Physically showed me the parts that needed to be replaced and costs of the parts.Very professional and kind. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Tony is a knowledgeable and skilled mechanic. Several times, I have brought my car to him with tricky issues ranging from pesky electrical problems to needing a new motor mounts/clutch/etc. HIs prices are fair and he gets work done quickly and listens carefully to his customers needs and auto problems. Im someone who likes to work on my own car and he is more than happy to explain things in detail and go over his work thoroughly. I will continue using Tony as my mechanic in the future.
