I brought my phone here to get my cracked screen fixed. When I got my phone back my battery no longer stayed charged. Ive never had a problem with my battery because my phone is still new. My phone did not need to be unlocked or in use for the battery to die fully charged or not. in addition to the bad repair customer service was terrible. The person I left my phone with would not make eye contact with me when speaking to me. I had to ask him to turn around because I couldn’t understand him with his back turned to me. He didn’t ask for a contact number to let me know when it would be done. When I reached back out to them about my situation they told me they didn’t do refunds and I could bring my phone back in to repair my battery.

Joel has always helped me and my husband with our cell phones over the years . And has always been quick and reasonable in price. I highly recommend him.

WAS a loyal customer for years. Only place I would take my phones to get fixed but now I WILL NEVER GO BACK. New (to me) guy replaced the screen on my son’s IPhone X. Paid $120. Avg price. Problem was that while fixing the screen, the guy completely disabled the phone(put password in wrong too many times, after he said he didn’t need my son’s code when I offered it to him). So was not able to use phone. He told me to go hook it up to iTunes and it should be fine. I tried to get his phone to turn on for THREE days, still couldn’t get it to work. I brought it back up there and same guy says he can fix it…for $45. After I told him that he was the one that disabled it, he responded by saying if my kid hadn’t dropped it then it wouldn’t have been disabled by having the screen fixed……the only reason I was there at that business was because the screen was broken…it’s literally his job to fixed broken phones. Anyway, he said he’d fix it but he’d discount the $45 but I have to pay something, cuz he called Joel and Joel agreed. So I told him that if he wanted me to pay him more money to fix a problem that HE CAUSED, that’d I’d never be back again. He said ok. So I was charged to fix a problem he caused and they lost a loyal customer and every future customer I would’ve sent their way. It’s a damn shame.

IPhone Repair Genius needs to be more knowledgeable about the products they are installing. My iPhone SE screen was cracked. The help I received was fast and courteous. My discontent is with the product. I cannot read the screen in a portrait position when I am wearing my polarized sunglasses. I can only see the screen when it is in a landscape position. Repair Genius did not offer to correct the problem. They got online and reviewed possible fixes and stated my phone is too old for their product.

Fast fix took less than 30 mins I will be come back

Don’t listen to the one girl that gave this place terrible reviews. I’ve been an iPhone owner for over 10 years so as you can imagine in that time I’ve had to get multiple things fixed at multiple places. As soon as I found this guy, I quit going anywhere else. His building is located in the beautiful downtown district. He’s super fast with repairs and doesn’t beat around the bush, which I really appreciate. Also, he’s running for Mayor of Tyler, give him a vote! He’s just all around a great guy with great customer service!

I got my phone screen here iphone xs max and when i got it back one side of the screen was lifted up and it cracked supper easily, i pulled it out of my pocket and it was cracked. And it also doesn’t look like they used an apple product screen. do not go here.

My iPhone 7 Plus loud speaker was distorted so I bought a new one & replaced it myself. The new speaker did not work. I took my phone to iPhone Genius & explained this to him. He said he could replace the charging port piece & he felt confident this would fix my problem. I agreed to do this for $55 plus tax. I went back an hour later & my phone speaker was the same but now has a new part in it. I asked him to put my original speaker back in my phone while he was putting his new part in but when I picked my phone up he said he didn’t have an antenna for my original speaker so he didn’t put it back in my phone. I explained to him the original antenna could be removed & placed on the speaker but he didn’t feel comfortable doing this. He said new loudspeakers usually have an antenna attached. Nice guy but didn’t fix my problem like I expected. The speaker issue was not his fault but he sounded confident he could repair it. I feel like he should’ve refunded some of my money. Just my opinion.

This man is very rude and got mad because he was told that when the phone was brought in there was no issue with it besides cracked screen. I’ve done business with him before but I’ll take my business somewhere else. BBB has been contacted

Repairs iPhones.

First we can start with the fact that the business hours of these locations are apparently very flexible to ownership. When the sign says 10, they mean whenever they happen to run to the store to open it. After waiting and calling, I had to travel to the other location. Okay, fine. The 117 location is literally an open room with rancid fish tanks and bird cages. Whatever. After my phone was repaired I pointed out the extreme discoloration. The person fixing my phone took it back for about 15 more minutes and proceeds to tell me that its my phone, not her screen that has the issue and it works. Well, it worked before I brought it in so Id hope it works! The screen they placed on my iPhone 7 is now cutting the palm of my hand. Now I have to spend $200 on a replacement phone, on top of the $100 I spent on the replacement screen. Im very disappointed in the quality of work, quality of service and overall I dont care attitude of this business. Take the extra time and go to Dallas, definitely not worth your time or money.

Horrible horrible!!! DON’T recommend this place at all!! I came here to get my iPhone 7 Plus screen fixed first of all when he fixed the screen I could only hear my phone calls when I have it on speaker now! Okay next mistake my screen didn’t look fully like white the screen looks yellowish like if he used a cheap screen than where my iPhone was cracked on the very top to your left the piece came off again! And this temper glass he put doesn’t protect my phone at all! And now my whole screen is coming off!!!! I guess the glue he used was cheap to!!!! NEVER EVER COMING HERE AGAIN! People save your money and go to an apple store or your carrier place and replace screen their it will be cheaper!! And all this happened in a few months !! It didn’t even last nothing!!

Joel was a great host, and I highly recommend this quaint little spot. It might be the only place to see stand up comedy in Tyler on a weekly basis.

I came In asking for a home button fix and he lied saying he could repair it by Replacing the screen and by replacing the screen it should active the thumb button but If you’re an iPhone genius you should know that you can not replace a home button on an iPhone 7.. only AN APPLE STORE can replace a home button. (Wish i’d known that before or he’d never have gotten $75 outta me) So he mislead me to believe by replacing a cracked screen it would automatically fix my home button which he knew was a lie🤦🏽‍♀️ This man doesn’t even use Apple products. This man is a scam artist & a liar! Do not go there.. on the other hand the Cracked screen repair was wonderful. Just wish he would’ve been honest and told me he couldn’t fix my home button.

I do not recommend this place. I did not even have my phone back for 36 hours and the screen disconnected from my phone! I called to tell them what happened and the owner said “sorry, that’s your fault.” Spend the extra $20 and go somewhere else in Tyler.

Took my phone to get the screen replaced after getting it back it was lagging really bad and half the screen wasn’t working properly. Went in the next day and he said it could be a software update issue. Went home updated my phone and it’s still doing it. Fast forward a week went back in because of that issue along with now my phone likes to randomly black out and he only way to get it to light up again is to apply extra pressure to the screen for a minute like you have to set the screen back in the phone. He was rude and kept trying to insist it was an issue with the phone not the screen. But didn’t have this issue till he replaced my screen. When trying to show him the issue he kept lecturing us about putting pressure on the screen but it’s the only way to get the phone to work and he refused to believe he could ever make a mistake.

I was passing through tyler with a shattered iphone 6 plus. I was cutting my fingers and i saw this place. The people there were really great. They had my screen fixed in no time! Even though i dont live in tyler, highly recommend this place to others! The guy that fixed my phone was very positive and very happy to help. which made me feel a little bit better. Totally worth the stop!

DO NOT give this man your business. This business owner is a crook! I went in to get my iPhone 6 battery replaced. When he gave me my phone back he had cracked the screen. He then had the nerve to ask if I wanted to pay for a new screen and claimed the screen was already cracked!

The place might look a little sketchy on the outside, but dont let that scare your away from meeting some cool people.

I had previously dropped my phone and it worked after I picked it up (my screen had a screen protector on it which was already cracked around the edges some)...then a bit later it would no longer show the screen as it was blacked out but; you could tell it still was on since the backlight would turn the screen a dark blue. I was waiting with 2 gentleman, one of whom said he always brought his phone to the shop even though it had moved from a previous location. The owner was very friendly, and got my phone back to working like normal. Very Thankful he is also God fearing and talented as well, I listened to his music and the lyrics are very encouraging and enlightening as we do not always know what Gods plan is for our lives. 🙏🏾Thankful for the service, and I would recommend everyone with an iphone issue to check him out, ESPECIALLY if your phone is not under warranty as mine is not any longer. *As you know if if is under a warranty you have to go to particular places, etc. to maintain the warranty. He also offers a warranty on the repair if you have any following issues, the cost is separate which I did not mind as I will now be able to keep my phone a few more years hopefully. As long as Apple does not do anything to cause me to have to upgrade.

This place lied and said they would clean my phone out it was still water in it. The lady called a guy to ask if i needed to pay a diagnostic fee, why do you need to call someone... Im here at another place they are showing me what they didnt do n shouldve have done.. They are just poor lieing individuals that just want to steel your money. Thank god someone is doing it for free for me. Just terrible do not come people I repeat do not cone to this raggedy place. They try to fight with you over the phone and does not know about how to fix a iphone properly.

Did a crappy job, took an hour longer than they said it would, and a week after it was done my phone screen started “peeling” and caused it to crack. When I called I was told it was coming off (peeling) because I had a case on it. Not happy with the customer service or the finished product.

He replaced iPhone cracked screen but now the touch screen is shaking and has a ghost touch. The phone is randomly typing and swiping left to right.
