Very friendly and helpful staff. They did not try to draw out anything for more money or expenses just got right to the chase although I believe their exam fee is kinda high as other vets I have been to in the past would only charge less than half of their exam fee especially since all that was done was a temperature check. Still, for the level of care these techs and vets provide, I believe it’s still worth it
My experience was amazing! Dr. Roberts and the Tech were super patient with me (being a new dog owner) and my young puppy! They were SUPER helpful and answered all of my questions! I’ll definitely be sticking with them from now on! Super nice facility and very prompt with their service!
I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone at Canant Animal Medical Center and Club Mutts! I rescued my Lily (girl) almost 10 years ago....and she was the best dog that I have ever had the fortune of loving. She was faithful, loyal and such a sweet girl. She would do anything to please me...she never barked and was such a consummate companion. One other very important thing to note: SHE dearly loved CLUB MUTTS Doggie Daycare and everyone there. She spent alot of time there because I didnt like leaving her alone when I worked, and she loved the adventure. She didnt hesitate to hop in the car whenever I asked her if she wanted to go play with her friends. Yesterday was extremely hard for me as I had to say goodbye to her due to an overwhelming illness that hit her very suddenly. It was one of the hardest things that I have ever had to do. I want to thank Dr. Hall for her love for animals and her compassion for me, as I struggled to make the difficult decision and let her go. She was an angel. Finally, and most importantly, I want to thank the team at Club Mutts for babying her. Thank you for all the love, cheer and grace that you extended to both Lily and I. She loved you all. I dont want to miss anyone, but I do want to thank some of her very best friends....Thank you Lis for being there with me and Lily as we said our goodbyes. You helped me more than I can say. Thank you to Joy, Jess, Mandi, Morgan, Tori and Matt! Yall she loved everyone of you, and that made me love you too. She was always so glad to see you and you treated her well. Trust me, I know she would have tucked tail and ran if she had not. She could certainly shy away from any uncertain situation. She was the best pup ever, and again, I am so thankful for everything that you did for her. You brightened her life, right up to the very end. She left with her tail wagging gently every time she heard one of your voices. I am grateful. Very Best, Donna McCray
Everything about our experience with Club Mutts was absolutely PERFECT! We were nervous boarding our two year old golden retriever for the first time, but the staff made us feel so comfortable. Thank you!!
Animal Medical Center is also SO nice and professional every time I need them. Even in emergencies, they make sure they are able to fit you in as soon as they can! The staff and Dr are awesome and they really give me peace of mind to know that my per is getting the very best help. They truly love on your pets and treat them so well! I would recommend them to anyone!!
I couldn’t say more good things! It was well cleaned, friendly staff, and my boys loved it! We have a Bernese Mountain Dog & Corgi and they are both very social dogs. They listened to all of my concerns and looking forward to continuing going here.
By far this is my favorite Veterinarian I love them
The circumstances for my visit here were unfortunate. However, the entire staff handled everything so well and so compassionately and for that I am so thankful. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.
Everyone at AMC Tuscaloosa has been going above and beyond, they have excellent doctors, technicians and front desk team!! I feel that Axel was in good hands.Thank you!!
I love how friendly and helpful everyone is here. Their interaction with your fur babies is beautiful!
I have never had a bad experience at AMC. They try their best to accommodate my pets every need. I 💜 AMC. They have the best doctors, technicians, kennel staff, front office staff, and manager in West Alabama.
They are very nice. We came in with our cat and they were very helpful. All my questions got answered. The vet took the time to make sure we up to date on what was going on. The staff are awesome as well. Thank you guys.
Everyone was super nice and took their time. My cat usually freaks out at the vet but animal medical center mad him very calm and did the exam quick butThoroughly. Highly recommend.
I always feel good about leaving my Kallen kitty with the folks at AMC. They text me with updates and the doc left me a voice mail message about my pets teeth. They are a bit pricey but it is worth it for good service.
Reliable and courteous. Our rescue cat’s vet for over a year. Highly recommend 👍
They were able to see our cat the same day we called. There was no waiting in the car for hours like Ive experienced at some vets. They were friendly, professional, and seem to really care about Max and his health issues. I even got a text from them the day after the appointment, just checking up on Max. Super nice and impressive.
DR. Lucy Roberts was very thorough. She went the extra mile by explaining costs upfront and printing helpful information about my cats condition. Ill be sticking with the AMC.
The entire staff is FABULOUS. Im not exaggerating; every single staff member Ive had any interaction with has been super helpful, patient, compassionate and enthusiastic. For a cat parent, this is truly a rare find.
I can’t rave about this place enough. The staff is always friendly and highly professional, and the providers I’ve worked with are absolutely superb. They obviously know their stuff, and they take the time to tailor their care to each specific animal and situation - it’s clear that they’re genuinely concerned about my pet’s welfare! My cat has now experienced the full gamut of their services, from routine visits to illness management to surgery, and I’ve never had an unpleasant encounter here. Such a fantastic option for quality pet care!
The last few years we boarded her there Graycy picks up something by time we pick her up. This year she had bad conjunctivitis in one eye. She also was feeling bad several days thereafter with warm dry nose and very lethargic. She had all her vaccinations
The last place I took my recent rescue adoption to get her nails trimmed, she had a total meltdown and we couldn’t even do it, so took her here expecting them to have to sedate her just to get the job done. I was so pleasantly surprised when they texted me saying she had done well! The groomer came out and talked to me personally and told me that she had stayed relatively calm throughout. So thankful! Very professional, caring staff!
I called and they saw me the same day. They were fast and professional. I was in and out within an hour. I will definitely be back
The staff and doctors are very responsive, helpful, and friendly. Both the vet and the staff explained everything they were doing and testing for, and answered all my questions thoroughly. I definitely recommend them!
We recently moved to Tuscaloosa and needed a vet for our Baby CoCo(Pocket Bully). Coco is a very expensive dog to care for but Dr Hall called me and chatted with me several times to make sure that all my concerns about her well being was being taken care of. She talked to me on a personal level and interjected her self in our conversation to make it more personable and I appreciated that. Her own experiences with her animals made me feel comfortable that she would do everything to help me figure what works for my dog. I can’t say enough great things about Dr Hall she Rocks!!
The staff are fantastic, caring and personable. Our vet was friendly, informative and caring.
You were very helpful with Bella’s recent visit, giving us what we needed to help our cat with her anxiety 😟
Visited AMC for the first time for a wellness test for our 9-week old mini schnauzer. The staff was very professional, pleasant, and Dr. Roberts very informative and caring with the puppy.
Apple Jack had a great experience getting yearly exam. One of the request was to have claws clipped and Dr. Newsome clipped with expertise. In past, claws were never clipped short enough. I really appreciate the gentle handling of my dog as tech took her from me andreturned her with same manner!!
Everyone at AMC is so kind and helpful! I know my pets are always in good hands with them!
I called after calling my previous vet who said the next available appointment was in 2weeks. My dog had been vomiting and had diarrhea for 2 days. Dr Jones was professional and empathetic. She explained what she would recommend and also walked me through the available options, and the associated costs. So far my dog is responding well to treatment, and I am hopeful for his complete recovery. Given my experience with Dr. Jones, I would highly recommend this practice. I might also add that the Office staff who I spoke with, as well as the personnel who took my dog into and out of the building were friendly and informative.
Dr. Roberts and the staff at AMC are fantastic. We switched from another vet to AMC initially because AMC has a dental X-ray machine- super important for cats dental health. We are staying with them because of the superior quality of care and exceptional communication. They empower me to take the best care of my pets between visits with health, dental and behavioural recommendations.
I love AMCs staff. Theyre warm and friendly and they show a lot of love to my fur baby. They always answer calls or get back to us fast. And theyre quick to help out with anything that pops up after appointments.
The young ladies were attentive and took good care of Isis. The receptionist who answered the phone was very polite.
I really felt they cared about my pet! I live 1 1/2 hours away but felt it was necessary to make sure my puppy had the best care!
Took my sick cat. Was easy to change my appointment time through text. Clinic doing great job keeping everyone safe during pandemic by doing curbside pick up if your pet. Vet called me about my pet to ask questions and tell me my options. Dr. Roberts was great. She told me her concerns and gave me information and options.
Great annual checkup for Marley and a bath. Easy to deal with even through the COVID-19 protocol
OMG! so first, I have to apologize to the staff because I called the entire Labor Day weekend checking on Hulk (my dog lol) They were so nice, assuring and friendly! My dog was well taken care of, and William even came to talk to me when I picked Hulk up. I recommend AMC to any and everyone who needs to drop their pups off!!
Animal Medical Center staff are very knowledgeable and accommodating. They are efficient with their service and provide excellent communication. I highly recommend them!
I have three pets at the moment (2 cats and a dog) and the wonderful staff at AMC treats them all like family. We primarily use Dr. Newsom and she is absolutely wonderful. She is gentle and quite with my babies. She is also very patient with me and my million questions I always have, so I know she genuinely cares about the health and happiness of my pets.Additional praises, the facility is very clean and the front staff is very welcoming! I always feel comfortable leaving my pets in the staffs capable hands. They are a little more expensive than other clinics in the area, but they are worth it!
It’s taken me years to try and move on from the death of my cat. This review is not to bash anyone, but to help the staff understand the importance of what a simple sentence could have done to help prevent my cats death. It’s been over two years and I’ve moved out of state since then. I wanted to explain how devastating an NSAID type medication can be to your cat. After my cat had surgery here, I was given an oral medication (An NSAID- maybe meloxicam or meloxidyl). The first week after Gizmo’s surgery I was given enough doses to give her every other day, and then given a second weeks dosing for everyday. Unfortunately my cat really seem to struggle with pain and kept ripping at one of the stitches. The next week I called the vet and was told “oh go ahead give her the medicine every day that’s fine” and came back to pick up more of the doses for the second week. I know that no one wanted my cat to die, but this simple conversation could have been a lot clearer. I wish she would have just mentioned the potential effects on the kidneys or how cats cannot metabolize NSAIDs like we can. Something, anything. It’s everywhere online how toxic this medication can be to the kidneys and I just wish someone would have just said “hey- this medication can be hard on the kidneys”. But it’s my own fault for not researching it. I could have seen her symptoms sooner and maybe saved my cats life. Moving forward, I was given another week of dosing for an entire week to give every day. (This is the second week of dosing) However my cat continued to chew and pull at one of her stitches. She began eventually to become sick, throwing up, and not eating. I just assumed I needed to worry about respiratory depression and I admit that she was a cat that vomited frequently so I wasn’t sure if it was an issue just yet. I just didn’t know. I brought her in for another check up just in case after the second week of dosing because of her not feeling well. Thats when the doctor told me she had kidney failure and “It was probably due to the medication as it is KNOWN for ACTUE RENAL FAILURE” ..Seriously? Why wait and tell me after her kidneys failed? I feel devastated and the pain has barely eased since then. PLEASE if you give this to another person for their cat, can you just tell them how it could affect their kidneys? Before they have kidney failure? Just a small statement. That’s all. (I believe I had Dr. Roberts but it has been some time now. She was sweet and of course no one meant harm. But my cat died and some insight on this could help someone else) Cats cannot metabolize NSAIDs like we can and people may not understand that. Therefore it can cause acute renal failure in felines quickly depending on the cat. I didn’t research this before giving it to my cat. I cannot explain the extreme guilt and devastation I have still. It’s been over two years and I still have extreme guilt and depression knowing I forced medication down her throat that killed her. This cat was with me during some of my hardest times in my life. She was a sweet animal and trusted me. And when I took her back to the vet to see what was wrong, I was immediately told “Oh that medication is known for acute renal failure”. I repeat that over in my head OVER and OVER. At the end of the day, I wish I would have never done that surgery. But that’s on me. I only did it because I felt pressured due to other people in my life at that time I was trying to please. Again, I know no one meant for that to happen. But maybe just mentioning the toxicity could help. I hope no one has to go through this. Knowing I was the one who gave her the medication just something I have to live with everyday. I always ALWAYS read anything I give my new cat now. I also found out that most vets do not give out more than 2-3 doses after surgery. I was given two weeks worth. I understand that not all cats react this way, but online there are black box warnings about how it is not approved really to be given outside of the vets office now. I do hope this helps someone in the future.
I called today to get information regarding their puppy visits, as advertised on their website, along with their “low cost spay/neutering“. The lady who answered the phone was very dry, unpleasant and seemingly annoyed that I was bothering her with questions. When I asked about any puppy programs or plans she said they did not have any. I asked what what about their first year of care... she offered Limited information such as the listing off cost of each individual shot. Then I asked about their “low cost spay/neutering” pricing to which she replied starts at $189. I did ask what that means “starts at“? She went on to explain in an aggravated tone that you can opt in for other things such as bloodwork, additional fluids, pain medications… isn’t that the vet’s place to tell us when our pets need bloodwork or additional fluids and/or pain meds? How would I know if my puppy will need additional fluid while being neutered?!I really do not like to post negative reviews yet in this case I was very disappointed because I was clearly looking for information and a new vet to welcome our new puppy and she acted as if she flat out did not want to share such information or even have us as customers for that matter. Which is sad because we have many new pets in our community. Also sad because they have such a handsome doctor on staff! 😏😉
Thank you so much for taking such good care of our furr baby Roxie. She is a blessing to us as she is as a patient to you all. It just feels great knowing we didnt have no worries with her for her neutering on the 29th. We will always trust your business as long as our pets are continued to be treated like family every time. Thanks again Animal medical Hospital!!!♡♡♡😊😊😇🙏🙏💙💙
The staff and docs here are wonderful! They are clear communicators, kind, knowledgeable, and responsive. I know my cat is being treated tenderly and well.
I had to put my 15 year old cat down and they were very caring and professional!
I couldnt be happier with a veterinarian. The staff are always caring and helpful. The billing is accurate and prompt. I feel like this is a great value for excellent, caring people to talk care of my fur baby!
I took my new cat to Animal Medical Center for his first checkup as well as neuter surgery. I chose them after calling every vet in Northport/Tuscaloosa area for prices. Not only was their price the most reasonable, but they gave my cat excellent service.
I have been there for 2 years, I can’t tell you how much I love this place! Every stuff members are always willing to help me and my cat. Especially this year, I need to take my cat go back to China, Animal Medical Center helped my a lot, veterinarians are responsible. I want to special thanks to the Dr. Roberts, without you, I can not successfully ship my cat!I am going to miss this place😭
Always receive excellent care for our fur baby Daisy.Very informative about her treatment and always show genuine concern. We are pleased with the treatment daisy receives whenever she goes to animal Medical Center.
Unfortunately with COVID I was unable to be with my kitten as he went back for his check-up, but the staff was so nice and friendly that I felt he was in great hands! The doctor was very informative and tried to answer all my questions. Our visit was also very affordable considering we’re college kids!
This was my first time going to Animal Medical Center. I called and was able to make an appointment the same day. Everyone was incredibly efficient with curbside service. The vet called and discussed the exam with me over the phone and answered all of my questions. I did not have to wait long and they provided excellent care for my cat.
Dog was boarded for a week, when we picked her up she had kennel cough and had lost 9lbs.
Weve been using Animal Medical Center for several years, Dr. Bronold, Dr. Roberts & staff are top notch! They really care about our pet & took the extra steps to saved our dog Charlies life. We are forever grateful for the enthusiastic care & dedication they have to taking care of our pets. Thank you we will be forever grateful.
My dog is not very socialized, and they were very gentle and patient with him and had no trouble examining him.Dr. Bronold was very helpful, explaining everything to me and providing any information I needed. The staff members who took my dog in and brought him back out (social distancing/curbside service) were very friendly and helpful and you could tell they really care about their patients.I will definitely take my boy to them again.
Always prompt and professional, I love the doctors and the staff! In my opinion it is the best place to take your animal to be taken care of. You can tell in the way they treat their patients how much they truly love animals. Im a very budget conscience person and they are always happy to work with me on scheduling and procedures and are always transparent with prices and fees.
Great staff, it was different communicating due to Covid-19 restrictions, but they made sure I had all my questions answered and was very clear on treatment course of action. You can tell they all love animals.
Just moved here and AMC saw me and my service dog, Valor, super quick. Service was professional and reasonably priced. I was kept informed the entire time and all my questions were answered in a friendly manner. Icing on the cake is they take CareCredit. Looks like I have found my new Vet.
Used this place for boarding for my dog and when asking questions about it, the receptionist tells me it’s $11.00 a day. When coming back from a 5 day vacation with expectations to pay for a 30$ shot and 55$ for boarding they bill be for 200$. So if you like over priced daycares, by all means Club Mutt is for you.
While its unfortunate that weve had a sick cat that has required multiple trips for treatment, this has absolutely been a fantastic clinic to go to. The staff, vets, and techs are all super friendly and kind to patients and their owners. They do a great job of communicating what they think the problem is and what the potential treatments are. Perhaps most importantly for the average owner is that they are really good about helping you to find affordable treatment options and avoid unnecessary expenses where possible (which is really great for helping deal with the stress of a prolonged illness or injury). They take Care Credit, they give you itemized estimates, realistic assessments, and above all caring treatment. We drive out of our way to keep coming back.COVID-19 UPDATE: They did a great job of doing curbside service. We worked out the procedures by phone, I dropped off one sick kitty, and picked up one now-recovering kitty. They were just as helpful and caring even as we social distanced as much as possible. Im very grateful for the staff and doctors for their help. :)Update 2021: They continue to rock. Obviously they only employ people who have a passion for working with animals because my little girl was a handful. Amanda and Dr Robert’s were super patient and caring, as the staff I encounter always are!
I took my dog Sadie to this veterinary center because she was experiencing discomfort with her ears. We had not been to a vet in 3 years because her last vet closed. I was given an appointment the same day. Due to COVID 19, we were enrolled in the car and awaited her inside car. She was skittish and the staff led her around with them instead of placing her in a kennel. Her exam and workup was done in an hour. I was updated to finding and given instructions for her medications. The vet bill was large due to new workup to make her current. I appreciated the discounts also given on my bill. We have found a new home for Sadies care.
Best vet in town! They really care for your pets like their own! So thankful for this place.
Our regular vet was unavailable and the animal medical center helped us deal with our dog crisis. The staff was caring, helpful, and professional. The doctor went out of her way to offer several choices for treatment. Thank you for making a difficult time easier.
The service and care my animals and I receive is excellent, especially when I ask for Dr. Lucy Roberts. I am 74+ yrs old and have had mostly cats all my life ... Dr Roberts is, by far, the most qualified and caring veterinarian I have ever encountered. The entire staff at your clinic is also top-notch. I have rarely had any problems with service from your clinic. 👍
We have taken our pets to AMC for years. From the front office staff to the vets, they are all great at listening to us and taking care of our pets.
They always go above and beyond making Pepper at ease when we drop her off. That makes us feel better when we have to leave her for appointments.
Easy access
Even during this difficult time they not only took care of my pets, but did it in a safe and convenient way. Unfortunately there was an emergency at the time my pets were do to be seen, but they moved swiftly and were able to take care of my pets very quickly. I did not wait long even with the unforeseen emergency.
My rescue puppy had surgery yesterday, and they were so kind and professional! The vet tech also mentions that she rescues. Please support them! Thank you
The BEST! The doctors and staff are so professional and caring. We have used AMC for years, and they have always had our pets’ best interest in mind. They spoil our babies as much as we do! 👍
Even through a pandemic, the staff was very courteous and helpful!
Super nice doctor and staff! They take time to explain everything and answered the million questions I had very patiently. I’ll continue to bring my fur babies here!!!
My dog and I love this place. Hes always super excited to go. The people who work in the front are always super nice, and super sweet to my dog. The vets are always honest, clear, and listen. Prices are about what theyd be elsewhere, and be aware that they do charge an additional fee for the pet to see the vet, in addition to various tests, needs, etc. They also provide grooming and boarding, which is nice and convenient, and the grooming Ive gotten is always well done, though a little more expensive than some other places Ive used. I regularly recommend this place to folks with pets who are looking for a great vet.
Everyone is so kind and professional!
First time yesterday 4/23/20 they did amazing job !! They definitely have love for animals !! I’ll definitely be back!! You can tell everyone was working so hard and they care so much ;) thank you all for y’all s hard work y’all are amazing !!!Charlie will have a lot of wonderful friends ☺️
Was happy my pets was well taken care of
We love taking my German Shepherd, Kali here. She is very sweet but can be anxious with new people and environments. They are always so patient and accommodating to make sure she has a good visit. Everyone, from the front desk, groomer and the vets are outstanding. I can drop her in the morning and before I get to work in Birmingham, the vet has called me with her assessment and recommendations. Then she has a bath and all that goes with it. When she gets picked up, she is clean, fluffy and happy!
Had to take my Chessie puppy to the vet this morning on a Saturday and they quickly had him in and out and talked to me about everything I needed to know. Would recommend them to anyone with pets. Great place.
The Dr. and staff were friendly and worked us back in after our initial appointment that same busy day. Our puppy somehow scratched off his ear crop tapping lol. The Dr. patiently retapped his ears. Thanks
During the craziness of the Covid-19, the curbside services are the best. The staff is always so caring and courteous. I love this place. Thank you for being my Vet!
My puppy was boarded for a week. They updated me by email plus I called to check on him. Thankful to have such a fine place to leave my fur baby with.
Coming from a different state I was hesitant to find a new vet. Animal Medical Center did not disappoint! The staff was phenomenal and really have you and your pets best interest in mind. Definitely recommend!!
While I should have expected curb-side only service, I didn’t, but the staff was very responsive to not only phone calls but to questions that I had as well and they were all extremely professional.
BEST boarding experience ever! I had last minute change of plans and needed to board my dog same day, on a Sunday, and for a week. I was scared they wouldnt have room, but they did! The staff was so friendly, understanding of my dogs needs and her personality. My dog needed a few shots when she came in and the vet actually text me after each shot to let me know how she did and that she was a great patient. I have never experienced that before and I loved it! The office staff were also so friendly and were so kind when I called every day checking in on my dog. Unfortunately, we moved out of state after I got her from boarding, but if anyone needs a vet or to board their pet in the Tuscaloosa area, I 120% recommend checking out AMC!!
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the office staff adjusted very well and were very patient and respectful with my cat (and my three year old that didn’t want them to take my cat inside.) I paid less than I was initially quoted, and the doctor was very informative when she called to speak with me after my cats surgery.
They did a good job on dixie
We took our baby girl (9mos old dog) to this vet today. We was very pleased and overwhelmed at the kindness of all the staff and vet! I highly recommend it. There very affordable. Didnt rush us in and out. Was just a very pleasant visit overall..i highly recommend this place to everyone. Thank you for your kindness and following up with the even about some extra things. How kind of you! Ive never had this type of experience in vet clinic we have been using a diff place until yesterday!
The staff at Animal Medical Center did a fantastic job of handling our appointment while observing social distancing practices.
They always respond when I need them. Can’t wait to be able to actually see our doctor and the staff.
I was traveling from out of state with my dog and ran into some complications. Staff was wonderful, super helpful, all around super friendly. Was able to walk right in and get everything taken care of.
First visit for Scooter at AMC. Albeit quite different with COVID precautions, he seemed to do well with the staff. Dr. Jones was great keeping us aware of his health and treatment needs. Would recommend them for your pet healthcare.
The staff at Animal Medical Center goes that extra mile for your pet. They make sure that my special needs cat gets all of the care that she needs. I recommend them to all of my friends. They are well staffed & very professional. You can tell that they love their jobs and love animals!!
My baby is an American Bully and because of how he looks and how big he is he gets a bad rep. AMC has been seeing Koba since he was about 4 months old. He feels at ease with them and I love how they are not intimidated or scared of him. He gets great care and he loves it when I board him. The vets and staff are super nice and knowledgeable, I highly recommend them.
My baby bully suffers from Demodetic Mange Mites and was not treated properly at the previous vet and the vet at Animal Medical was more than helpful in providing information on my baby’s condition and getting her treated!
My dog, Kala, is very wary of strangers, and usually will not stray far from my side. However, she LOVES everyone at AMC, and is so excited from the moment we pull into the parking lot. With the Covid restrictions, I was a little unsure on if she would willingly go into the clinic without me, but everyone at AMC is so great with her, that she had no issues. I love that they are a Fear Free clinic, and are all so great with Kala.
Needed a sudden visit one afternoon, they were open to walk ins and extremely quick to see our cat. Everyone was very warm and welcoming. The vet was extremely reassuring and confident that it would be okay. Definitely have a new go-to vet.
My dog is 14 years old had a bad smelling coat nothing that I tried would work, he was going to tidemoore vet. For almost 1 year and they never found the problem just took my money and kept giving antibiotics, on the first visit to AMC, they found the problem. He ended up having a fungus on his skin. They gave us meds and special shampoo and now the problem has cleared up and he smells better than ever. If you want people that treat your fur baby like you would then this is the place for you. Thanks again AMC.
Animal Medical Center is by far the best animal hospital in Tuscaloosa! The staff and owners always treat our two dogs with the best care, and are extremely flexible to our busy schedule. If you are looking for a place to board your dog for the weekend or going out of town for a week, I would strongly recommend taking them to Animal Medical Center. Their boarding amenities are by far the best out of all of the kennels in the area. When we leave our dogs at Club Mutts we know that they are receiving the best care and are not going to be sitting in a crate all day and only let out twice to use the bathroom. They have a great backyard with pools, fountains, and above-ground tunnels that our two dogs get to play around with for the majority of the day. A great feature about their club mutt back yard is that it is covered with artificial turf. When we come to pick our dogs up at the end of the day they are not covered in mutt, which is awesome. If you want the best care and hospitality for your animals that is at an affordable price, take your animals to Animal Medical Center.
My furbabies and I LOVE AMC. As a family, weve been with this clinic for over 20 years. Dr. Roberts is nothing short of amazing! Her insight on behavior and training tips, at every stage of life, is invaluable. The vet techs deserve equal praise. Each is kind and calm when handling my high energy pups, and always have great suggestions for fun toys and kong fillings. To say Im thankful for the doctors and staff at AMC is an understatement.
Just saw Dr. Roberts for the first time. She was WONDERFUL with our just adopted rescue dog who is very much still adjusting and anxious. She also gave us humans loads of helpful information and guidance on cue/food positive training, local trainer recommendations, and anxiety management approaches. She was patient, attentive and took her time with us. We feel so lucky to have found her and AMC for the vet care of our pooch and cat! Couldn’t recommend her more!!
