We have four Labs and a Jack Russell terrier that are patients of Alberta Vet. Dr’s Hammond and Bailey give excellent care!! The techs and office staff are very knowledgeable. They saved 2 of our dogs lives and we are eternally grateful. They always want to hear what you have to say and really draw you in to your pet’s care which is always appreciated. I wouldn’t dream of going to another vet!!

We have used Dr. Hammond for years. He and his staff are always professional and kind. They truly care for your animal. Years ago our dog got attacked it was awful I just knew we had lost him but Dr. Hammond saved his life. We have a beagle know that was very unhealthy and we tried another vet with no help we went to Dr. Hammond he nailed it within minutes. He has a thyroid problem that has to be controlled by medication, he is doing so much better. Dr. Hammond has a great “bed side manner” very straight to the point and explains it in a way that is who are not veterinarians can understand. I recommend him and he staff highly!!

I went here with my dog, expecting a broken tooth and found out it was cancer. I was losing my mind about the thought of losing my best friend. They talked with me through my options, sent me so much information about what we fighting, listened to my concerns, helped me feel confident in my decision, and did the treatment...affordably.They saved my dog’s life and I will never be able to repay them for this. I will never take any pet anywhere else. 10/10 best vet clinic I’ve ever been to.

Great service. The little man was neutered. :-( For him. :-) For us. Set up the appointment over the phone. Simple paperwork. The clinic texted to say everything went well. This is by far the best veterinary clinic around! The Vets are absolutely amazing most caring ppl around! The whole stuff in general is amazing so nice and compassionate! I can always get her in and when I have to leave her over night They will get her well ! I received calls throughout the day on what was going on and how she was responding to treatments! I absolutely love this place and the ppl !

I dont trust anyone else with my fur babies. Dr. Hammonds and the entire staff is wonderful. Our Great Danes absolutely love them! If you are looking for a great veterinarians and service look no further!

Ive taken two cats and a rabbit to this clinic and have had amazing results. The vet is a very kind and gentle man and does a really thorough job examining my pets. The entire time he was giving shots and doing tests he was talking to my pets and making calm reassuring sounds to them. He was never rough and showed a true concern for my furry family.I brought one of my cats in because he had stopped eating and drinking for days. He was able to find a small spot in his thick fur where he was cut and it had become infected. After giving him some fluids and a few shots he was back to normal and eating within a day. My rabbit had a urinary tract infection and he was able to show me how to crush up pills and use a syringe to give him medicine and he made a full recovery. I wouldnt take my animals to anyone but the Alberta Clinic. They always remember my pets and their history and ask how they are all doing. They really care and treat both pets and owners with lots of respect and care.

The staff is really nice, helpful, and affordable! I took my dog here after he was throwing up and they comfort my dog so well he wasn’t scared around them. I highly recommend.

Dr. Hammond and his staff are FABULOUS. My former vet referred me to him when I contacted her for a visit with a new kitten and she informed me that she was in her last week prior to retirement. (Dr. May)I really liked and trusted her, and she did NOT steer me wrong. As long has hes in business, and I have a pet, Dr. Hammond WILL be mine, and my pets vet

The staff and Vets are knowledgeable and amazing. If you havent met Dr Bailey or Dr Hammonds its time. Youll love their compassion.

Dr.Baily and Dr. Hammond are amazing. The clinic is small but the care is huge. They are willing to take the time to diagnose the cause of a condition rather than treat symptoms and never really find out what the root cause of the symptoms is.

So I took my cat to get checked and I told them she was mean. They tried to take her out of her cage and of course my cat got angry. They told me she was too aggressive to handle without sedation which they couldn’t do until the next morning. My cat is 7 pounds and I thought a vet would be equipped to handle her. I heard the ladies talking about it while I was in the waiting room very rudely. I was told just the sedation would be around $80. I went to McClendon and the whole thing (sedation, nail clipping and the check up) was around $70. It’s just expensive and the people are rude.

This place ran by great people along with both great veterinarians who are caring of your pet. I would work there if I could since the place is great. I take my cats there to them.

Love this place. They have been providing affordable pet care to my familys dogs for 20 years and are so compassionate. Even when I lived out of state I would bring my dogs back here for care.

Tim and Ginger have been wonderful to our fluffy. They are friendly and cordial, and have our fluffys overall health in mind. Im so pleased that I was recommended by a family friend to go there!

Awesome, compassionate, great with animals, very affordable...example for yearly exam the office visit fee is like $15.00, they took time listened and now I feel very at ease knowing there is such a great vet and staff in my area! Ive been using Alberta Vet for about 10 years and have found them to be a top rate Tuscaloosa Vet. Ive never had to wait long, and the service is excellent!! I cant say enough good things about them and was so happy when I started going there - I wish I had all those hours I spent waiting the the vet I used to use! You cant go wrong with Alberta Vet... and if you are a student, its less than 3 miles from the stadium.

I board my dog here because its really close to my home and the best price. plus I think there over looked. so there is always room.

I love Dr Hammond and his staff. I have taken dogs, cats, and chickens to him and have never been disappointed. On a personal note, I once reported to him some puppies abandoned at his office after hours and was pleasantly surprised when he reacted with the same amount of anger as I did towards whatever coward carelessly abandoned the helpless puppies in the heat on a weekend.

The veterinarians here are amazing. Very thoughtful and willing to answer all of my questions about my pets.

Love our Drs. Also appreciate it when they let me know what pet is do what treatment.

Been taking care of me pac for years. Always a great job at a fair price.

Very Expensive, my dog was there 30 minutes and received very little care and was put down. I was quoted between $100 and $150. Bill ended up $200. Without compassion I was fleeced at a very bad time. I would never use these people again. I was later told by an employee that had I been a regular customer I wouldnt have received the bill I did. For instance the only med my dog recieved was a shot for $39. Checking today I learned that every vet I called would have given the same injection for under $15. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.
