Mavis tire Tuscaloosa was so helpful today. Not only did they find a way to fit me in when I desperately called many locations to get help that day, but they were super friendly and professional. I listened while I was waiting to Monica at the front handle some difficult situations with ease, grace, and a professionalism that isn’t seen often. I highly recommend this location.

Bought 4 new tires, can’t rate the quality of the tires just yet. A lot of people say the wait time is crazy but I think if you getting 4 or 2 tires depending on how many people are in front of you it would be a good idea to drop off. I have rims and they scratch the edge of the rim where they took the old tires off but not as bad as I have seen before that’s why a 3 star they service was 4 and a half stars. Also the cheapest price for tires to that I have seen.

I came in on a Sunday, they were very busy with appointments but I needed a tire ASAP and Devontae was very helpful, polite and got me in and out without breaking my pocket on a new tire.

Was in need or a metal part to be pulled from under my car and the manager was nice about even though it was close to closing 10/10

Definitely wouldnt recommend because they lost my tire key and put on a bad tire which has a nail in it after I pull off and was headed home. I will be going to northport from now on. They fixed the problem for me today very friendly.

2nd time in 2 months Ive gotten nails in a tire. Mavis both times saved my bacon and got me fixed quick and at a fair price. That and fantastic customer service has earned them a loyal customer!

This location by far is one of the worst! I definitely won’t be using this location again! I came in for an alignment and to have 4 new tires that I purchased put on. Monica was great at the front desk! But the majority of the techs where on there phones and not working to make sure customers didn’t have long wait times. Arrived at 8 am. At the time of posting this review it is almost 12pm and I’m still waiting. There is no excuse for this!!! The techs need to spend more time working and less time on phones and talking to each other and not getting work done!!!

Showed up early. Was crowded. Customer service was awesome from front staff to the nice speaking mechanics. Head shop guy superbly awesome so was the woman. Quick service feels beyond confident after driving parking lot clean store was spotless. The bathroom was visibly clean and smelled awesome. New to the city. Found my mechanic shop will return

I brought my tire here to be patched. I dropped of just the tire and was told it would be an hour or so. I called an hour and half later and they had not touched my tire (she asked where it was). When the tire was finally patched, i noticed a line item on the bill about testing. When I inquired what that meant, they told me it was for testing the sensors on my vehicle. Rather peculiar because my car was never there… unfortunately I cannot recommend them because I can’t vouch for their integrity. They refused to remove the charge from the bill.

Monica and the entire team here were fantastic. I hit a pothole driving through town and lost pressure in one tire with 7 hrs left on my drive. They were able to fit me in last minute and get everything road worthy again.

Monica was absolutely wonderful! I couldnt have asked for better service. As an out of state college student with unexpected issues to my car, it was beyond helpful to have someone who communicates well and is patient when things get stressful. As far as the rest of the staff, they were very friendly and had nice smiling faces every time I came in. I hope to not have to come back anytime soon (praying for no more blown tires), but if I do I am relieved to be able to have great services again.

Such a great experience! I have just recently moved back to the area and had a couple of bad experiences at another place in Tuscaloosa. I made a morning appointment and went on and spoke to Monica. She was super nice and very helpful. I got an oil change, replaced a tire, a rotation, and an alignment. Monica was very helpful, helping me pick out a tire. They had it all done i just a couple of hours!! This is my new car maintenance place. Everything should be this easy. Great work Mavis! And Monica!

The McFarland location was Fast and Friendly and organized.The Northport location was not.They dont have enough technicians to service their business which leaves customers with unreasonable wait times. Appointments? Forget it. Management seems overwhelmed. Frankly the service was so bad in Northport that I left and went to the McFarland location. Much better experience.

Excellent customer service! UA grad, here. I drove 6+ hours with my young daughter to see a home game recently. Right outside of Tuscaloosa, a brake warning came on. Mavis Tire was the first place I saw pulling off the interstate. The business was slammed that morning, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. And knowing I only had a few hours before kickoff - they got me in and out in a very reasonable time. Cant say enough great things about the staff. Highly recommend.

Monica was able to get me in immediately on a Sunday morning and the technician, D-Anthony in a short period of time found my leak and fixed it getting me on my way. A great place to buy tires and have service performed.

I was traveling back home to Mississippi. Noticed I was having tire problems. I pulled to this place to be told it would take hours to LOOK, or even see why my tire was losing air. I went to a shop down the street and had no wait time the guys got on it asap. Found a nail in it and changed my tire. I was back on the road no time.

I came in with a bubble in my tire and was able to come in and get it fixed the same day within 2 hours. they are the only place that carried the tire i need to make sure i was able to travel and spend the holidays with my family!if you need to go, ask for jo!

We were on the road with our 5th wheel trailer and noticed a flat tire on one of the wheels. Mavis was very accommodating replacing the tire as it was damaged and could not be repaired. Monica was very unprofessional and the staff in the back. I was told a hour wait. I was there soon as they opened. It was going on two hours & I had to check on it and the inspection hadn’t even been started! They don’t value your time. Drek knows how to run the place unlike Monica. I will take my money elsewhere.

This is a very good tire store. They are much better at service and timing compared to the other stores in Tuscaloosa. Make sure you plan to leave tour vehicle as this isn’t a great area to hang around. There is a doughnut shop across the street now. Make sure to let them know you are waiting.

Made a appointment online to get 4 New tires put on my car, when I arrived for my appointment I asked if I could get my oil changed also well the woman working the front asked me about my windshield wipers told me she could get me 2 for $15 each I said not 2day she says well I can go down to to $10 each I said ok.. well they charged me $24.79 each thin failed to tell my boyfriend they busted my windshield so we went back & they said someone would contact me from corporate. Still waiting on that call!

We were halfway through a 700 mile trip pulling our camper when we noticed we had an issue. One of our truck tires was on the brink of a blowout.It was Fathers Day Sunday. We called close to 20 tire shops near us with no luck before finding Mavis. They offered to order a custom tire with next day delivery or get us in right away to change out our spare (it was too small) and install it.Highly recommend them.

My back tire blew out the other day. I came to this location today for a new tire. The man that helped me was very nice. They looked fairly busy when I pulled up but still got me in and out in roughly 30 mins. Maybe less! Pricing was great too. Will definitely be coming back to replace worn tires in furture!

Everyone working today was very friendly, patient, and informative. First time getting brake work done with them but Im confident that they will do a good job based on what we looked at and talked about.

I called and scheduled and appt. When I showed up for it, I was told it would be a few hours or I could reschedule for the following day. I rescheduled. I showed up the following day for my new appt and again was told it would be a few hours. Why even make appts if youre not going to honor them. The 2nd appt took over 2 hours for my car to even be pulled in the bay. I would not recommend anyone to Mavis Tires and Brakes.
