Employee with the initials MR working at Tumwater anytime fitness at 3:00pm Thursday. Told me and my friend to put on a mask despite almost every other individual in the gym not wearing one. When she was asked why we had to wear a mask but no one else had to, she responded and said because she is busy in a training session and cannot ask them right now. When my friend brought up that she just stopped her training session to tell us to put on a mask, she could not give a legitimate answer and told us to leave. I will be going to corporate with this incident. Discrimination and favoritism can not be tolerated.UPDATE: The below response from the manager is highly inaccurate. A couple things to note. Number 1, this is not a fake account. Number 2, you called another member who has nothing to do with this review. Number 3, again you asked the TWO of us to wear a mask while every other person in the gym was not required to wear one, why? You are right, masks are not personal but you made it personal, blatant discrimination on your part for no apparent reason. When confronted on this issue AND during the phone call she still could not give an explanation. She then threatened legal action if the review was not removed. To be clear, I am not bashing Anytime Fitness, I am bashing the individual employee. Are you going to believe a member (soon to be ex member) with nothing to lose or a manager with her job on the line? You choose.

I have been a member for 2 years. Best gym I have ever gone to. Very helpful staff. They will always go out of their way to help members. Also always clean

Best gym around here! The staff is amazing, Makenna will take great care of you and the personal trainers do a fantastic job at getting you motivated and helping you meet your goals. Worth giving them a try and if your a Spartan racer you will find some like minded folks to connect with.

Very unprofessional… an employee made false accusations against me and threatened to take legal action purely out of anger. I was called earlier today by an employee of this anytime fitness, and she accused me of leaving a false review under a fake account “Bobby Bob”. This is not true, I did leave a review on Yelp under the screen name “Parker Anderson”, but everything in my review was 100% true. While on the phone I tried to explain to her that I had nothing to do with the review she was referencing, yet she continued to call me a liar, and threatened to take legal action against me. I never bother with leaving reviews and certainly never leave reviews under my own name, but I couldn’t let this go unsaid. I hope the business apologizes for making false accusations against me, and threatening to take legal action for a review that wasn’t even mine.

Very quick enrollment. Prices are as advertised, with very friendly and professional staff.I’ve been out of the gym a few years so it’s was nice see the new and updated equipment here..

Great anytime location. Very clean. Never too busy. Lots of room to find your own space. They are always cleaning and the bathrooms/showers are ideal. Ive traveled all over before settling in Olympia the past 6 months and this has been one of the best anytime locations in the west Ive been happy to go to every other day.

I joined Anytime fitness after the Covid shutdown of 24 hour fitness. Tim and Stephanie are wonderful and the staff is second to none. Everyone is happy and helpful and it seems as though everyone is always happy here. There is everything you need (and then some). The equipment is very well maintained and the gym is clean. I am very happy to have found this location and I see myself here for many years to come. Great place and great people.

This a great gym in the Tumwater/Olympia area. I have nothing but good things to say. The equipment is very well kept and I love all the different rooms to work out in. Many gyms I’ve been to don’t have a welcoming feeling and the 2 ladies at the front desk and other employees around were so awesome and helpful. I would recommend coming here any day. That is great customer service!

Its a small gym but is very well equipped. A little weird they have signs to not drop weights that are ment to be dropped. And anytime has more fees than other gyms like 24 or thrive.

It is just so frustrating trying to contact this facility to try and make an appointment. Never once have they answered there phones for me during their staffed hours.

Great gym with friendly owners. The only downside is the gym is a little small and no basketball court. But I rarely have to wait for equipment and even in the times Ive had to wait I found alternative options to meet my workout needs.

Joined after the covid shutdown, very clean gym, chill atmosphere, plenty of space and empty machines in the morning and early afternoon if you like to superset or tri-set, never had an issue.Very happy with my decision to join .

I can’t praise this place high enough. If I’m in town visiting family for a week or two this is my go to place. It’s clean, friendly, and never too packed. They have all the equipment you need to be able to power lift, Olympic lift, accessory work, all sorts of cardio, and a room for classes. Small but mighty!

Best Anytime Ive used! Extremely clean and organized with everything one could want or expect at a gym. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

I called in simply to ask if they sell day passes because my normal gym was gonna be closed for a week. I was well aware of their 7 day free trial pass, but I honestly wasnt looking for a gym membership. Furthermore, I had already used it the last time my gym closed. I explained all of this to Trish and she said just to come in and use a 7 day pass. Ive been to gyms where they didnt seem interested in giving out a free trial pass if they felt like you werent coming back after it expired. The fact that this gym was willing to help me out and keep me going says a lot about the company and the people working there. They have a lot of good equipment and they keep the place clean and tidy.

This gym has a friendly atmosphere and is kept very clean. I work out with a trainer there named Gary. Hes great. The equipment is always well maintained and I love that instead of a locker room they have private bathrooms with showers in them. The classes Ive taken have always been good too.

Owner was rude, and tried to charge me for a service that I requested cancelled and never used.

Its not as crowded as planet fitness however wish it had a massage bed

Anytime Fitness Tumwater is by far the best gym in town. I live in Lacey and travel to the Tumwater location. It’s so clean, “Makenna” at the front desk is amazing. Always friendly and smiling! “Theresa” is a rock star too. So positive and motivating. I have never met a personal trainer like “Emily.” So knowledgeable and she pushes her clients to be become better. You will not find me working out at any other gym that “Anytime Fitness Tumwater.” Thank you to all the staff that makes this place great!

Decent equipment. Takes them a while to fix machines that break but for the most part its well maintained. Had to drop my rating to three stars because the roof leaks. I have offered to help them fix the issue twice, instead it has been leaking for three years, every time it rains, it drips all over the cable machine and they just put buckets under it.

Clean, staff is friendly and well maintained equipment. Everything I need at reasonable prices. Its the private bathrooms with showers though make it the best around.

This is by far one of the best Anytime Fitness Ive been to. The separation of the rooms is great. Its clean & well organized. They have excellent equipment & everything one would need. They have toilet seat covers, wipes everywhere, & plenty of bathrooms. They have ceiling fans in all the rooms making it nice & cool. The only thing not making it a 5* is individual fans by each of the eliptical/treadmill machines. Many of the AT have them & it makes your cardio a lot nicer.

Very convenient and has a decent spread of equipment. The Wifi never works and is more of a fitness center then a grunt push gym. I prefer the latter so its a bit weird at times, overall it not to bad.

Great gym! Since I stated 2 years agoI have worked with two great trainiers, Riley (who left to pursue a Masters) and Jennifer. Working with them,I have lost 80lbs to date and gained so much strength, energy and confidence. The atmosphere at the Gym is always positive, they have great staff and management, the facility is always clean and as a bonus they have many special events for members throughout the year.

The Tumwater Anytime Fitness is a great place. I had horrible luck with thorbeckes in Centralia and do not recommend anyone to go to that gym. Anytime Fitness has private bathrooms and showers and the staff doesnt cut your locks off your locker.

What a JOKE!!!!! I have been a member for almost 3 years. I have traveled all over the US and have been to many gyms. Never could I not get the door open. Person in the office see me and doesnt even come to open the door! That is just RUDE customer service!

Ok so the absolute only reason Im giving this place a 5 star is because Trish the manager is cool as f*** I had a huge problem with a girl named Christina who workes there she was very rude when i was trying to explain why I was mad about not getting the free month referral when I had my wife join, Her exact words were, is there anything that this call is actually pertaining too while I was explaining my situation, she was rude and lied about my wife going in there said that she went in there and told her she didnt wanna pay for my account anymore then said to me in august when I went to pay if I could cancel that card she said the bank has to do it she cant even get into it so if that was true how did my wife come take the card off the account, also the fact that there referal program which the initial call was made for is very misleading no where does it say on my email nor anything online nor at Lacey or tumwater gym you have to refer the person to a specific gym, she actually told me it was implied, that does even make sense, she then proceeded to tell me the email I got from anytime fitness corporate wasnt from her gym and that they didnt have to abide by it because they are a franchise never have I had such disrespect from anyone at anytime fitness every one else is cool and trish the manager your awesome and I appreciate you being understanding thats the only reason Ive been with the gym for 3+ years

The best anytime fitness in Washington!! Ive been to AF allover the US and this is one of my favorite ones. Clean, friendly staff, great equipment and nice and open. Normally I go to the Lacey one but no more after going to this one. Amazing!
