Absolutely excellent service!I had searched out a CPA after separating from my former CPA of 12+ years. After calling a few I decided to settle on Hood & Associates CPAs because they had an office in Round Rock.We had our 2019 & 2020 taxes to file and we had to get 2020 done for May 17 2020 to fulfill some other requirements.The turnaround on doing both the taxes was more than I could ask for. They were extremely efficient. Bryce did a Tax Return review each time, answered all of our questions, and made any needed adjustments to the returns.I could not have asked for a better first experience with a new CPA Professional. My husband went to meet with one of the agents for Hood. He needs someone to take care of his extremely simple small business taxes. He met with a gentleman who seemed to understand my husbands needs. The gentleman quoted us a fee and proceeded to take the paperwork my husband had on hand and said he would be contacted by end of month for additional info. He also said he would send an email with and for additional info. This all happened in March. Last month my husband received an email with registration instructions. No other info... nothing! Today he went back to Hood & Associates to get his paperwork back. The receptionist didn’t ask why he was taking it, it’s like they didn’t care one fig for his business- from the get go to the last interaction with them. Save yourself some time and find a CPA that is not too busy to handle your very important small business tax needs.

Recently set up an appointment with Hood & associates to talk about book keeping for my small business. I showed up to the appointment and the person we were meeting wasn’t there. They seem very unorganized. They didn’t know our name for the appointment so I looked up my confirmation and told them who we were meeting. They said he was in a different location at that time and they couldn’t help us. It appears they’re staff is young and untrained. I was told someone would reach out to us and reschedule. Never heard back from them.

John and Corey were extremely helpful in handling my small business account. Dropped off my paperwork on 6/1, Hadnt heard anything for about 6 weeks, called Friday, my return was finished Monday afternoon. Wish it hadnt taken quite as long but they were very accommodating, 10/10 will return.

Skip Yates has been doing my taxes for many years. He is very professional and knowledgeable as a CPA. One complaint I hear from others about their CPA is that they do not take care of their tax issues in a timely manner. Mr. Yates not only communicates along the way but is VERY timely about getting my taxes prepared and ready to go!

Did not take care of our family at all. When we brought in an older tax year problem that we had received a letter on, they gave us some extra forms to fill out and said that it would be taken care of. It was not. Expenses for college were not accepted by the government, with receipts, and went to collections. When I arrived requested a different appointment to try and resolve the issue, I was told that the associate would not be available. In addition, Hood mailed us a letter stating that they had an information breach. Since then we have had multiple credit card fraudulent charges. They cared more about their pretty new building than any single customer.

Ive been with Hood and Associates for about 3 years and have had a really positive experience each time. Even when i dropped the ball on some paperwork they have quality control procedures in place to cover my back when i made the mistake. Very satisfied!
